She's also launching her national political action committee. Registered in Virginia, patterned after Hillary's HillPac, Sarahpac.com is to support ideas and candidates who share the Palin vision that energy independence is this country's future.
Next month she addresses a Washington gathering of prominent conservatives. She's going ahead with a book. Her Facebook page has 410,000 friends. She wants to influence policy knowing the nation must turn to Alaska as its energy resource. She's planning to be president.

Palin’s PAC -- if it is indeed fully formed -- joins that of many former vice presidential and presidential contenders with higher aspirations, like Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who had HillPAC. Gen. Wesley Clark, himself a former presidential candidate, has WesPAC. And then there's one that might be in competition with Palin in 2012: HuckPAC.
We have been saying this from day one. The media and the Democrats will try to compare Governor Palin to the RINO Mike Huckabee. Why would they do this? To marginalize Governor Palin as the "social conservative" candidate! But we know that she is much more than that. She is also one of the greatest examples of a fiscal conservative in the nation today. Please do not allow the media to link Sarah Palin with Mike Huckabee, who has emerged as Palin's main "kneecapper" since the election.

Obama already has taken this country so far to the left in just a week! He is a leftist failure.
Palin's decision to create a PAC is wise and she has enough time to launch a book deal. She just needs to now and then do an interview. Her appearance in Republican conference and CPAC will be news in itself.
Very exciting news.
I need some confirmation from Palin herself that this is her PAC; I'm reticent about people trying to profit off of her so I'll hold off on any donating until the good governor gives the thumps-up.
I am suspicious. The "About Sarah" page says she is chairman of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission, she isn't.
And, watch - if Mr. Bill answers any questions about this, then Andree McLeod will file another frivolous ethics complaint against him for doing politics on state time. I think this is the reason that Bill gives "no comment" so much of the time when people ask him questions about the Guv's political plans.
Ah - she was chairman of the IOGCC last year, but not this year.

HOTAIR-Update: The boss just got off the phone with a spokesman for Campaign Solutions, the site’s registrar, who told her it’s for real and that the PAC papers were filed with the FEC yesterday.
Well we are moving closer and closer to it being legit....but im sure Greta, Sarah's BFF, will let us know for sure lol
Way to go Sarah. To get Sarah elected President she has to show she is more than a social conservative. Sarah has to be a fiscal conservative and show her energy expertise and ideas. Sarah in 2012 is possible because Obama has already took the country way to the left in 1 week. Alot of people did not know how liberal Obama was on Nov. 4.

These are great moves by Sarah. I was wondering if there is a big grass roots movement for Sarah? And how big it is? It seems the internet and the like played to Obama getting elected.
We all need to contribute early and action. Show the party that conservatives are ready to re-assert themselves--and can put money where their mouths (and hearts) are.

I can't seem to get on the Sarah PAC site. It just comes up with a screen with a brown background. Is anyone else having this problem? Also, I'm more concerned with comparisons with Hillary Clinton and Wesley Clark than with Mike Huckabee.

Do these PACs ever give info on the amounts they take in? If so, Sarah's going to make Obamites heads spin. I've never donated to ANYONE before, but I will to her.
