Mr. Bill Attack! And Another Book in the Works

Ramrocks wrote in January about ankle-biting attention freak Andree McLeod, who likes to file frivolous ethics complaints against Governor Palin, costing the state tens of thousands of dollars in answering them.
Alaska Ear reports that Mr. Bill cut her off from receiving the Governor's press releases by e-mail. When she complained, he told her:
"Andree: You were indeed dropped from our press distribution list, at my directive, as you are not a credentialed member of the news media and do not adhere to that profession's ethical standards for disseminating information. Bill."
Mr. Bill Attack! Of course poor Andree went whining to the ADN as soon as she could. Guess that poor Andree will now have to get her press releases off the website like the rest of us proles.
The same column reports another book in the works, with research being done in Juneau. The authors are Shushannah Walshe with Fox News, who apparently covered Sarah on the campaign trail, and Scott Conroy of CBS. I haven't yet researched those folks in depth to see whether they're fair journalists or not. Walshe's stuff for Fox News, at a quick glance, seems relatively neutral, but Conroy seems to have been one of the people blaming Palin for actions of other people at campaign rallies.
UPDATE BY JR: McLeod is another Halcro type, she did not get a government job, so now she spends her evenings throwing darts at Governor Palin's portrait. McLeod represents 50% of Halcro's listeners.
UPDATE by Mel:
I'm interested in reading the book by Walshe and Conroy. Conroy was a little off in his reporting sometimes (he does work for CBS, after all), but, in my opinion, he was generally much more fair than others in the media. I think that by the end he may have developed a little respect for the Guv, and he certainly liked Piper. Walshe and Conroy seem to be buddies, and I think there's a chance that they could balance each other well. This book could come down to the editing, the research that they do in Alaska, and which campaign staffers they talk to. If they only talk to people like "Gunny" French and Nicolle Wallace, then they're going to get a skewed perspective.

Everyone is making money off the Gov., but her. Hopefully, one day she'll write her own book, and out sell all the others combined.
Andree's book probably reveals that Todd, and Sarah Palin are actually gypsies, and they stole all those kids with the help of Scientologists.
I read/watched all of Shushannah Walshe's reports on Sarah during the campaign (Fox assigned her to cover Sarah; she traveled with McCain-Palin). I found Walshe's reporting to be very simple, oftentimes with typos in the written articles. When she speaks, she literally gasps at every breath, sounding like she's out of breath or really excited. Either way, it wasn't very professional coverage. My impression was that Fox put the least professional reporter on Palin. We'll see what she does with a book about Sarah, but I'm not too excited to see it.
Letter to the editor from the gov:
Begich stimulus claims incorrect
Now that the federal stimulus bill is signed into law and the money is being offered to states, our administration is analyzing the various funding streams to determine how Alaskans can benefit without creating new or expanded programs that eventually we can't pay for.
Suddenly, though, Sen. Mark Begich has raised the specter that I would reject all of the stimulus money and hurt Alaskans in the process. Alaskans should rest assured that where the stimulus money will help our private sector economy and provide a genuine safety net for individuals, we won't hesitate adding it to a fiscally sustainable spending plan.
I must also set the record straight on Sen. Begich's false claim that he has not been informed about my stance on this bill. I wrote to our congressional delegation twice on this subject, the first time solo on Jan. 7, and later joined by House Speaker Mike Chenault and Senate President Gary Stevens. My D.C. staff was in frequent communication with the senator's staff, including face-to-face meetings and written communications.
Furthermore, Sen. Begich did not solicit our comments about the final package, and some of the changes he helped broker actually reduced federal spending in areas where we would have preferred increases -- for example, a $70 million reduction in highway funds.
Alaskans expect the delegation and the administration to work together.

That press conference regarding Palin's per diem....apparently already happened. Big Bill handled it, there's an AP article up about it now.
woo woo on it Guv. and go on wit ya badself Mr Bill
ps. CNN had a lil piece on earlier on 360 that pretty much annointed Jindal as the face of the Republicans. It didn't bother me so much that they were talking about Jindal, but that it wasn't so long ago they ripped apart Palin. Such a set up.
Lorna,
haha, that's funny to hear. The media will determine for us that it's Palin v. Jindal in 2012. I don't know how Jindal is going to run for re-election in 2011 but he's still over 60%, so he'll try to win it without having to campaign in Louisiana. It's possible, the guy is a pretty good politician himself.
It's the sexiest matchup and would make the media too much money. Sanford has been going off the deep end in terms of the stuff he's saying lately and I think it's going to be tough for T-Paw to jump in. The party is far too conservative for moderates, so Crist and Huntsman cannot get it. Romney and Huckabee had their chance and couldn't put up much of a fight against John McCain. That tells you something...
'Cuda and Jindal are already getting the star treatment of not having to attend things that others such as Sanford and Pawlenty have to be at to get any mojo: CPAC, tonight's RGA fundraiser, etc. If 'Cuda can paint Jindal as the establishment candidate, that'll go a long way for her because she can boost her cred among indies simultaneously by providing a modified version of her 2006 gubernatorial "run against the establishment" platform.
"It's true, Andree's almost responsible for creating Sarah Palin," Rick Rydell, an Anchorage conservative talk radio host and 2004 Alaska Republican Man of the Year, tells me over sushi a few days later. Rydell has just finished his show, which airs weekdays from six to nine in the morning. His Harley is parked out front and we’re sampling some hijiki and gyoza, talking about the Palinistas – his disparaging moniker for those still “drinking the kool-aid.”

Bah, it's common FBS.
I am actually excited about the Walshe/Conroy book as I think both of them covered Palin so thoroughly during the campaign. I think that, in particular, Walshe was a staunch advocate for fair coverage of Palin and I always found her postings to be thoughtful and more fair than most of the msm (Fox included). I mean, I guess we'll see what happens...
I agree with the last post and I definitely disagree with PA's comments. I thought the coverage Shushannah did during the campaign was extremely informative. Reading her blog, I felt like we were on the trail with Palin. When Walshe was reporting on Fox it was real and professional. I have no idea what PA is referring to when he writes that Shushannah gasps at every breath. I thought she was very polished. In fact towards the end of the campaign, I could not find as much of Shushannah on tv which was a huge dissapoint. I did however read her blogs. When I read about this book she is writing with the CBS guy I was ecstatic. My only question is...when does it come out??? I can't wait! I hope they do a book tour. I would love to actually get to meet her and see what her plans are next.
With all the simmering hate and rage the left and MSM have toward anything conservative, Jindal is bound to be raked over the coals, prob'ly closer to election.
And the #1 thing on their hitlist will be the article he wrote about watching an exorcism. While he was sincere in his account, the MSM and hate-o-sphere will paint him as oogedy-boogedy.
I don't have anything against Jindal, I just know if I had my choice to attend a Palin rally or a Jindal rally, it would be no contest.
From the East .... people in Alaska should be so unbelievably proud to have Sarah Palin. She is a breath of fresh air and really has it together. She would be so good for this country -- better than what we have now -- Obama with NO experience.
Andree McLeod should be run out of town and the state of Alaska. I am wondering if she has a screw loose!!! What is the matter with this woman. Only a person that isn't rational would continue with this nonsense of ethics complaints. If she would only devote half the amount of time to supporting Palin and her policies she would draw much more favorable attention to herself. What a disappointment. I am so glad to have the opportunity to support Sarah financially and otherwise!
