Hebetudinous ADN Can't Admit That Palin Does What They Only Write About
The Anchorage Daily News has an editorial out addressing the future of Alaska's economy and the need for state leaders to plan long-term. I encourage you to read the entire editorial, but I'd like to address one part:
So what's a thoughtful political leader to do?
Spend carefully in tight times, as this year's crop of lawmakers appears to be doing.
Sock away lots of money in flush times, as lawmakers did last year, when oil spiked to $140 a barrel and they put away $5 billion.
Encourage new oil production, as the state is trying to do with generous tax credits.
Promote natural gas development on the North Slope, as the state is trying to do by committing $500 million of matching money to TransCanada's pipeline proposal.
I can't help but notice that, though the ADN offers some credit to lawmakers for doing these things, they didn't mention Gov. Palin. And I believe that she's been involved in all of those efforts. In fact, I think that she's led many of them. In fact, I know that she has.

Mel,
Other good articles you may want to link to in the morning for consumption...
She has some fans in the Bush villages, contrary to what some may lead you to believe...

In case you Palin maniacs ever get to sleep, she's got a presser at 10 AM AKST tomorrow to talk about the pipeline and probably the hit piece leveled on her.
One final link idea before I hit the sack....
This article explains what the dems did with the budget the best of any article that I've read.

In the future, I am certain that when the gasline project is further along and cannot be spun as anything but successful, Obama's people will try to fold it into their "green jobs" nonsense and take the credit away from Sarah just in time for the 2012 campaign.
The substance of it won't matter, it's all about propaganda with these Obama people. If they can set it up where every time the line is mentioned in the media you get "the President has supported this all along" or "President Obama has promised this since the beginning", they will try to muscle Sarah's name out of the news stories about HER project.
I've learned with this White House, appearances, symbolism and spin are much more useful to them than the frickin' truth.
I do not know if any of the contributors to this blog receive the Limbaugh Letter. If any of you do, you already know, but if you don't, I'll share this, since I've been a Rush 24/7 member for about three years now.
In the latest issue, the in-depth interview subject is Bernard Golberg. Bernie and Rush get into the media crisis we are currently suffering through, and Sarah comes up in the conversation. I don't think it's available anywhere but in the print mailer, so if you want I will transcribe the relevant parts tomorrow. It's pretty good, as you might imagine.
I am fighting off a fevery-sore-throat thing the last 24 hrs, so I have some free time, and some fresh Sarah bits the rest of you may not have. It will be a bit lengthy, but appreciated.
SarahSoldiers, to arms! (that's new, I like it!)
Brian, I'd love to hear what they say. Eat some chicken noodle soup, and then type up a transcript for us, you worthy ordinary barbarian!
The adn is a trash rag. I would be very disheartened if that were my morning paper.
Everything in it is a set up.
EVERYTHING!
Thanks to the link from the Sidney Herald, TommyReport, I really enjoyed reading it. It is titled "Rural teacher learns from Alaska village visitors". It is worth the time to read. :^)
Let Obama try to get credit for the gasline.
Sarah then brings it up in the POTUS debates and mentions how he lets the woman do the work while he takes the credit.
Bingo, big spike in female vote, and the men will laugh themselves silly at her slamming O-man.
