Glenn mentioned Gov. Palin on yesterday's show. Janine Turner brought her up and Glenn ran with it; said that he interviewed her way before the election and that he liked her and what she stood for. Told the crowd that she's someone who should be in office (read President), not only because of her accomplishments but because she's sincere. He wants someone with a sincere heart and she has it.
Some in the crowd cheered, but I think most of those Texans were for Ron Paul. :)
Based on the 'popularity' of Obama and the reception given to the tea parties by the MSM what will most likely be the upshot of them?
1)The tea parties offer false hope even if more take place in the future. Obama will remain a statist and take America down the road of liberal fascism, undermine the Constitution and impose a totalitarian rule on America based on confiscation and a redistribution of income principle coupled with czars directing every economic decision made in America
2)The Democratic blue dogs will wake up to the anger in America and no longer support Obama as he takes America down the socialist road
3)More tea parties will be held but they will become more militant and infiltrated by spies from ACORN as Obama becomes less popular; the MSM will accuse them of being unpatriotic and racist
4)Obama will call out the army or his own secret police to stop the tea parties in the future with bloodshed being the result; the ringleaders will be arrested and thrown in jail and accused of treason
5)More tea parties will be held in the future; they will gradually have impact; Congress will avoid passing more TARP's; Obama will even take a 'second look' at his agenda; the vehicle on the road to socialism will make a few pit stops and slow down its race to the finish line
52.9% of voters voted for Obama and 45.7% of voters voted for McCain. At present according to Rasmussen 55% of voters somewhat approve of Obama and 43% of voters somewhat disapprove of Obama?
When will Obama's number be as low as his actual vote percentage?
Techno, I say summer. I expect his poll numbers to rise temporarily since he is trying to take credit for the Navy's success in rescuing the captain held by pirates. This will be given a large assist by the MSM. However, once the bump subsides, his numbers will continue the gradual decline.
Today is the final day to vote in the Sarah Palin poll at Why Mommy is a Republican. If you haven't already voted, today is your last chance! We hope to publish results tomorrow.
WAR's confirmation vote should interesting. It looks like alot of the dems won't vote for him because he backed Sarah in the senate replacement situation. If he can get 31 of 32 votes from the republican lawmakers, then he won't need the dems. It might be close, but if the republicans back him then he should be confirmed.
Kenneth Vogel over at the Politico has an article up today referring to Sarah Palin-'the 2008 vice presidential nominee has emerged as an almost unparalleled fundraising force, with both foes and fans minting money off the mere mention of her name.'
Now pretell, if this is the case don't you think if Sarah Palin set her mind to it that she might be able to raise some big bucks ON HER OWN BEHALF?
Is this the resume of someone who is washed up or can't get out of the gate?
"And if the election for President were held today, would you definitely vote to re-elect Barack Obama, probably vote to re-elect Barack Obama, probably vote for someone else, definitely vote for someone else for President?
I'm surprised that his definitely/probably percentage is so low given that his approval is 60% in this poll. Obama would be safe if the election were in 2010....but it's in 2012, a long time to go.
But seriously, things such as tax cuts on beer and cigarettes are the types of populist tax cuts that the majority of Americans will support. Unfortunately, we are currently losing the battle over tax cuts for the wealthy.
Re-reading the latest hit pieces from the usual suspects at the NYT, AP, Politico, one thought struck me. They are not just verifiably false, distorted, dishonest, and, in the case of the posts at ADN and HufPo downright vile and deranged.
They are ridiculous.
Far be it from me to take a leaf from Alinski's playbook, but the authors of these screeds have become increasingly comical.
It looks like Nelson pulled himslef out of the mix, according to the Juneau Empire. He said it was getting a little too crazy. I wonder if the Juneau democrats got to him?
No offense to newagegop or wisetrog, but I had a difficult time wading through newagegop's posts over at HA. I certainly appreciate a Palin supporter, and I'm sure the messages were funny, but I can't read all that misspelled Hillbilly gibberish.
I attended two tea parties yesterday, one in downtown Nashville and another one later yesterday evening in Franklin.
The Nashville daily planet said there were 3,000 people there, the capitol police said close to 10,000. The video and print media basically said, who are you going to believe - us or your own eyes? The Franklin rally, in a small town square, had 4,000.
Very inspiring, very uplifting. And the participants were passionate, but civil, friendly, didn't trash the place, and no inappropriate signs. Lots of kids. A beautiful sight.
I wore my Sarah gear -- a Palin in 2012 shirt and a Sarah! button left over from the campaign.
"Grussendorf is chief of staff to Bethel Democratic Sen. Lyman Hoffman, one of the most influential senators as a budget writer. Hoffman argues Grussendorf has experience with legislative work and could be ready to step in right away. He gave a little smile when asked if Grussendorf now has enough support.
I think Bobby is showing his establishment roots. I've got a feeling that after his SOTU flop show, he's realized there's no way he can counter Palin on conservative side of the party, so he's moving into the moderate camp. Good. Let him stay there.
What a wuss! Why should Dick Cheney lie down after all the mud that's been thrown at him? The spineless GOP makes me mad.
I know this is yesterday's thread, but I just noticed that Chuck has a Sarah button on. I think he also has a "We are all Joe the Plumber" shirt. Awesome!

The latest AP article from Ann Sutton is outrageous. She's now plagiarizing the likes of Celtic Diva and the other nutroots:
"Recent polls show Palin is still popular among Alaskans, even though at least one 'Impeach Palin' sign has sprouted in Anchorage."
The nyt article is a glowing puff piece in comparison to this garbage.
Oh noes, Palin is a goner.

The clip where Mccain says Sarah is his most favorite politician, is it available online?

This is from Cook Political Report:
"And if the election for President were held today, would you definitely vote to re-elect Barack Obama, probably vote to re-elect Barack Obama, probably vote for someone else, definitely vote for someone else for President?
50% Definitely/Probably Obama
39% Definitely/Probably Someone Else"

Wisetrog,
I hope nobody on our side jumps on McCormack...it's pretty clear that he's being tongue-in-cheek. The Weekly Standard is very supportive of Palin.
Now, cutting beer taxes may be a good thing for her to push....
Tommy, I knew it was tongue in cheek. It was humorous and I had a laugh. We are not like Obama worshippers, we can take a laugh.
Talking of humor, there's a new guy at Hot Air, who is bloody fantastic. Read his comments over there.

C4P, you send him an invitation to him pronto.
Tommy, can you please make a list about Sarah's tax cutting small government record?
wise,
Here's the link to Mccain on the Barry Young show, he names Sarah at the 23:00 minute mark:

Click on the Barry Young show, 8 am hour, April 15, 2009 to listen
His id is newagegop. Go check him out. He'll make you laugh your guts out.
Thanks uga. Do I have to listen to the whole 20 minutes thingy? Ye gods! That'll take hours to download here.
Wisetrog,
Here you go:

Thank you Tommy, now be an angel and dig some more. Did you by any chance follow our duel with pooptechs yesterday?

What a great way to spend the day!
Maybe Grussendorf?
"Grussendorf is chief of staff to Bethel Democratic Sen. Lyman Hoffman, one of the most influential senators as a budget writer. Hoffman argues Grussendorf has experience with legislative work and could be ready to step in right away. He gave a little smile when asked if Grussendorf now has enough support.
"I don't know," he said."
I hope that Hoffman can take control from French, and convince the other senators that Grussendorf is the way to go.
Uga,
Do you have a link to the Nelson story? I don't see it.
Here it is:
http://juneauempire.com/stories/041609/loc_429874192.shtml
Nelson said late in the day that he notified the governor's office to take his name out of consideration for the appointment.
"I'm basically pulling my name out of the mix," Nelson said, "It's just getting a little too crazy."

Looks like Sarah will be the only one left with any guts to take Bammy down.

And if she went they would say she is just an opportunist riding the bandwagon. She can't win.
I am a great fan of Sarah P. She is getting so hammered by the MSM, and liberals are AFRAID of her, because they know what's coming...
I know this is yesterday's thread, but I just noticed that Chuck has a Sarah button on. I think he also has a "We are all Joe the Plumber" shirt. Awesome!
