The Amazing Disappearing Shannyn Moore
I tried not to be jealous of South Carolina last week when Governor Mark Sanford went missing. I fantasized about Sarah taking a break on the Chilkoot trail. She could collect her thoughts, and prioritize Alaska back to the top of the list. John Kerry had the nerve to say the same thing. Sarah slams his looks…nice. Does this mean Letterman’s comments about her “looks” are fair game now?
Actually, Governor Palin had a problem with Letterman's jokes about her children. However, her looks have always been fair game to you, Shannyn. You are the person who was running around with a cell phone camera trying to peek up her skirt, right? Yeah, that was you. Creepy.
Kerry (D-Vietnam) is an adult and he joked about Palin "disappearing." Palin is an adult and she joked about Kerry. Palin is actually funny, Kerry is not. At least Kerry wasn't ripping the troops this time though, lets give him that.
Here is another thing to consider: Kerry is one of the least popular politicians in America. Palin is approaching 50% in favorability if you take a look at the latest Pew and CNN polls (above 50% according to the last Rasmussen poll). (And you might find these poll numbers of just how much our men and women in uniform dislike Obama, interesting.)
Also, I hear that Moore will be doing a disappearing act the next time she goes on "Countdown to No Ratings" with Keith Olbermann. Olbermann is the only host in America who is actually on a first name basis with all of his viewers (not counting his family and the maid cleaning the bathtub).

I think I might be making an understatement here, but, I think.....Governor Palin vexes Shannyn Moore. I think when Governor Palin's name is said, Shannyn Moore's head spins around like an owl's, her eyes bulge out, and people have to talk to her in soothing tones.

Tommy Report: I read a post today on Mudflats posted by Dr. Chill.
It was kind of interesting. It seems he is very upset that his art work has caused such a stir. And, now it is necessary that he will be gone a few days on a "retreat" (my words) to reflect. You really should go and read it.

I think Politico had pics. of all the OBAMA's at the the party they had at the White House last night. I was shocked. Here you have the Presdient and First Lady parading their girls around at a White House Party. Can you believe that? Guess they just don't care where there children are seen. I know this is going to be a shocker for Diva and Mudflats. My advice to them is try and take it in your stride.
You probably are going to have to get use to it. This is another family that are proud of their children and really don't mine being seen with them even if it is at a White House party. But, knowing how you ankle biters think this is terrible, you may want to call the White House and complain.

I love this. Wonder if Gov. Palin could take this and make the necessary adjustments when some media person makes a snarky remark about her. She can make adjustments as needed.
Example: I really don't care what Joe Scarborough's guest (Insert name like Tina Brown) say about me, he is the only morning show that is on a first name basis with his audience.
We need to keep all of these in a safe place (that is if JR doesn't care) so we can make a joke book for Gov. Palin. She does very well on her own, but you can never have too many come-back jokes on hand.

I am beginning to believe Dems like Moore are just stupid. Chrissy Mathews said he couldn't compehend GOV Palin's acceptance of Letterman's apology when anybody above Piper level education can. Now Moore not understanding that GOV Palin said she didn't like Airline stewardesses being put down and thinking GOV Palin meant herself. I think we need to go easy on these people I think they just comprehend at around 2nd or 3rd Grade level so that is their problem. I was educated in South Carolina in I can figure this stuff out the intelligence of the Mathews and Moore's of the world are very low.

EEsh… Here’s my final word on this.
I shrunk big burly Eddie Burke down to baby size into the cozy loving embrace of Palin. That’s the Joke. I used their two faces to express their close cozy relationship.
Those concerned with whose body it was, had me wondering about what was on their driver’s license photo Identification.
Almost without exception the photo has been pulled out of context of the fundraiser to get emails sent between Burke and Palin, and the caption “Baby Burke” is left off as well.
On the Eddie Burke Radio show - the perfect venue to talk about PICTURES..
someone explained the back story of Palin’s “Iconic” moment on stage with her baby. And then explained how I marred the baby to ridicule the - downs syndrome baby, to somehow get at Palin .
No one named the ridicule laid upon the child. The picture had no reference to her child, no way to identify her child, and no reference to its genetic condition. Some even called in to the radio show to express their outrage about what they had not seen, but only heard about.
I’ve had been hanging out at an all-in-for Palin site, trying to understand the strange mix of “Conservative ideals” and Palins agenda to “Progress Alaska” and many of the other puzzling oddities about Palin and her followers.
So I tried to see it from the point of view of others.
So here’s what I came up with:
IF I was an Alaskan Parent with a DS baby, knew the photo and saw it as a public expression of not only tolerance, but of unconditional social acceptance of children with disabilities,and,
they knew what an intolerant bigot Eddie Burke is,
and I saw the picture out of context…
then I might see that picture as having been not desecrated, but sullied, or even in the extreme, defiled.
So, out of context, some might see the well known baby picture as being messed around with.
So that was my David letterman moment…
Was it disturbing? Maybe a little.
Did I defile a perfectly lovely baby body with the ugly mug of an unapologetic bigot? Yes.
Was there a misunderstanding? Yes there seems to have been one.
Is it My fault? No F–ing way.
I did not take away the captions, or the context.
I did not spend time introducing it as a picture of Trig the DS baby.
I did not broadcast the phony charge of ridiculing a child without being able to name the insult to it.
This controversy has left me feeling kind of… sullied. Like I just took a bath in the mudflats, and I need to shower off.
It also makes me realize how compellingly sick AK politics is, and how I have issues I’d like to address here at home.
So, I’m going to take a few steps back from all of this and try to break my 3 or 4 times a day Mudflats habit.

That joke didn't mean much and I doubt if Gov. Palin took it seriously. Therefore, she just threw a cute old joke back at him.

Anyway, I don't think the Obama's will be offended after all Soro's has given and raised millions of dollars for them. In fact they probably be flattered.
I am fortunate to know three people who know Sarah.
One is a flight attendant on Alaska Airlines. She flies Anchorage to Seattle. Sarah has been her passanger many times. She has been able to sit and talk with Sarah for fairly long conversations.
She absolutely adores Sarah (as do the other two people that I know). She is a married Christian lady who is very classy.
When I saw her in December, 2008, she said what has to be the ultimate tribute from a flight attendant, "Sarah would made a great flight attendant."
Now that Letterman's joke has been in the news, that comment becomes ironic. I can't wait to see her again and ask what she thought of that joke.

gambso: I saw that too. I posted on another thread here. I think we should ignore them now. The public all over the USA has now seen how the Democrats feel about the Special Needs children. We do not need to get involved. We know the public agrees with us and we have exposed them. These pictures will be used at a later date when they will have an impact on the Dems. and when Gov. Palin is talking to different "Special Needs" groups.
Let them play there hateful little games and have pity on them. They are no longer worth any comments. That is what they want.
