Economic Stimulus Not Very Stimulating

Unemployment hits 9.4%.

Ed Morrissey has it covered here.

I was just about to post on the "GOP Embarrassment" thread, when I saw this come up.

Eric Cantor told Cavuto yesterday that the GOP recommended hundreds of millions of cuts (sorry I can't remember the actual figure), and I was a little heartened.

Then he explained that all that money was hat the GOP wanted Barry Carter to rescind in the porkulous.

I guess it's a start.

Well I don't know if anybody noticed but now they want a Pay Czar. This is totally out of control.

Just heard that Biden announced that it's time for a 2nd stimulus. New stuff coming next Monday.

Yay. It's alway great to stand behind carts full of stuff I can't afford, and watching them pay with their government-issued check cards.

Let's just give them houses and cars, too.

Gotta run....must work now, to pay for all of this crap.

Love that Photoshop of Obama, Pelosi and the Gang!!

Rush pointed out that oil is now around $69/barrel and experts think it will be at least $85 this year. Rush said that if oil gets that high then it will wipe out any recovery that was generated by the Stimulus.

Bad news for the Dems and Obama. High oil prices would help Sarah and Alaska ironically.

I'm finally hearing desperation out there among the pundits. Rush is genuinely worried. Glenn Beck phoned into his TV show and said that people he speaks to on his roadshow are angry and getting angrier by the minute.

Nobody is stopping Obama, and even worse, not many that can do anything are speaking out.

A former Reagan staffer called Rush today and said Reagan had 40 directors working for him. Obama has over 200, and they're not accountable to anyone,

I heard Jim DeMint is talking about the constitutionality of all these czars (duh) and Robert Byrd and Steny Hoyer are speaking up about the czars not being accountable to anyone. They're a tad miffed that congress is being bypassed.

Cavuto really laid into a couple Obama/Biden senior staffers and even though they tried to sound reasonable, their explanations of how the czars operate wasn't very convincing.

With the worsening jobless no.s, Obama has said he now wants to push the spendulous money out sooner -- stopping the bulk of this money going out was what the repubs were counting on in the '10 elections.
