Governor Palin on Obama's Health Care Plan

Governor Palin is actually up at 2:00 AM Washington time following the NRSC/NRCC fundraiser, tweeting about the Obama Administration's health care plan:

AKGovSarahPalin RE: Admin's health care reform: should take place in open, not behind closed doors. It must be sustainable, rather than “deficit neutral”

AKGovSarahPalin True reform should benefit, not neglect, older Americans, the very bedrock of society! In AK, 80,000 AKns age 60+, to be affected by reform.

AKGovSarahPalin Here’s a link re: older AKns & Medicare http://tinyurl.com/ljott2, & a great read by former LG of NY http://tinyurl.com/c44ah5

The articles linked by Governor Palin are a piece by the University of Alaska on the difficulty Medicare recipients are having finding providers in Alaska, and a Bloomberg article by Betsy McCaughey which savages the Obama Administration's stimulus plan for its negative impact on the health care industry.

UPDATE by RAM: There are a number of organizations founded by medical professionals who are also keenly interested in reforming of our health care system without going down the path of nationalized health care. Take a look at the Ideal Medical Practices website.

Take a look at
this letter to the editor from a physician in New Jersey:

I love working with and for my patients. Reducing suffering and improving health while treating people with dignity and compassion is what drew me into primary care. Like many of my colleagues and the public, I am disgusted by how much of my time and energy is diverted away from those I serve.

A few examples:

Rather than spending time with patients on the phone, I have to spend time on the phone with pharmacy benefit companies responding to yet another industry-driven shift in preferred medicine.

Rather than communicating via e-mail with my patients, I must respond to error-filled reports from companies that say they are measuring quality but in reality are missing the real quality.

Rather than researching the latest and best therapies, I have to go to "coding class" to catch up on the annual billing code updates.

Bad policy is the root cause of all of these problems -- policies that make it nearly impossible to do the right thing. I could get a job in a medical mill and crank out "visits," but that's not who I am.

If we are going to solve the primary care shortage, we must help policy makers do the right thing: Eliminate the crushing burden of administrative trivia that diverts our time and energy away from our patients' needs.

OT

Didn't know where to post this story but it's quite interesting and when reading it - we have another case of "anonymous sources", this time "anonymous lawmakers"

Palin beginning to irritate some Senate GOPers

I say good - I like to see them squirm!

She probably just got out of the dinner, what with the swarms of people around her.

I hope she starts speaking more publicly about healthcare too! Its about time.

Politico is really looking bad when CNN gives a more accurate report. Sarah, is the Star of the republican party and there is no doubt of that.

Debtstar June 9, 2009 7:29 AM

CNN gave an accurate report , and the video to prove it.

Propagandico , it's just sick.

ld Russian saying...You can tell same lie 1000 time but not change truth!

Difference between USSR Communist media and USA "mainstream media"

In Russia government make media say what they want - even if lie.
In USA "mainstream media" try make government what they want - even if lie..
.....eventually they become same thing?!

It very hard to have credibility to reform health care when one can not not a simple medical task as producing his own birth certificate.

Therefore, I Igor produce Obama Birth Certificate at www.igormaro.org

Compare Obama Care vs Igor Care at Obama vs Igor Care

Very deft by Sarah. Notice she didn't reject ObamaRationing outright. She's providing ammunitiion to those who oppose it by pointing out the flaws in the program.

Obama wants to rush this thing through. We can't let him.

Sarah will speak out about this issue on health care. She is the only conservative who is actually brave enough to speak about the issues as they are! We will be hearing from her...no worries!

Does this woman sleep?

One way to illustrate to the American people on what single payer/socialized healthcare would look like.

We all know competition is good.

Remeber the board game from way back called "Mystery Date" Sing the commercial jingle with me folks!!!

"Mystery Date, are you ready for your Mystery Date? Will he be a dream? Or a DUD?

We need a free market approach to Health care because if we don't, we will be stuck with the DUD who does not care for Health Care or life.

Also, the "Doctor" who was able to persue excellence in his or her field and be considered "such a catch" by the spouse, will become, just another Government worker.

This woman is definitely going to run against Obama if given the opportunity. That opportunity is in my opinion a trillion dollar deficit going into 2012, an unemployment rate that can't get below 7%, and inflation rate of 4% or more impacting energy cost, particularly gas prices. If those are in place going into 2012 (am I missing anything else?) she is running. Man oh man, I didn't think she would think about this until 2016, but with her up on the health care issues? Very promising for 2012 indeed...

The elderly will make life hell for congress critters re Obamacare. Once they get it in their heads that those of "least use to the collective," i.e., babies, seniors, dire cases, will be denied care, they'll let loose on Congress just like the melting phone lines during the immigration fracas. I say let 'em have at it.

I think the gov was probably too pumped to sleep after the whole dinner build-up for months and especially the last 24 hours.

I think going to this thing was also crucial so she could have face time with as many of these backbiting anonymous jerks as possible to stop articles that Hill hit job, which wouldn't be possible if the Hill couldn't find people to anonymously quote.

We all know that people who actually meet the good gov find it hard to lie and smear her. Exhibit A: Ben Smith reined himself in. He may be right back it if he didn't get enough of a dose. We'll see.

As we'll see if the sens and reps got enough of a dose to lay off the anonymous crapola.
