UPDATED: SarahPAC Statement on Trig Palin Photo Manipulation; ADN and Lib Blogger Blackout

The following refers to a post Conservatives 4 Palin made Wednesday and to which others are responding:
"Recently we learned of a malicious desecration of a photo of the Governor and baby Trig that has become an iconic representation of a mother's love for a special needs child.
The mere idea of someone doctoring the photo of a special needs baby is appalling. To learn that two Alaskans did it is absolutely sickening. Linda Kellen Biegel, the official Democrat Party blogger for Alaska, should be ashamed of herself and the Democratic National Committee should be ashamed for promoting this website and encouraging this atrocious behavior.
Babies and children are off limits. It is past time to restore decency in politics and real tolerance for all Americans. The Obama Administration sets the moral compass for its party. We ask that special needs children be loved, respected and accepted and that this type of degeneracy be condemned."

Is Phil Munger condemning or criticizing this? Nope, he's linking to, and encouraging the website that carried this grotesque image. AKMuckraker at The Mudflats? Same thing.
No condemnation at all, they just continue to link to and support this person, just as they link to and support those who make ludicrous allegations that Trig Palin is not the Governor's son. Silence means consent - not just for these bloggers, but for Alaska Democrats as a whole.
UPDATE by RAM: As noted above, Linda Kellen Biegel was the official Alaskan blogger at the DNC convention. The DNC platform states:
"We believe that standing up for our country means standing up against sexism and all intolerance. Demeaning portrayals of women cheapen our debates, dampen the dreams of our daughters, and deny us the contributions of too many. Responsibility lies with us all." (DNC 2008 Platform, Sec. I, Page 16.)
We still have not heard from the local Democrats in Alaska about whether they approve of what Biegel did to a photo of Gov. Palin holding her special needs son. They link to Biegel's blog on the Alaska Democrat's website. Do they approve of what she did? Ask them:

UPDATE III by VO: I guess the Anchorage Daily News silently consents as well. They are blacking out the story, despite the fact that we've been tipping them on it since the very beginning and it has now appeared on CNN and Politico. Not even a mention on the Alaska Politics Blog, or the Alaska Newsreader, which purports to round up happenings in the blogosphere. They're normally up for anything to slam Palin (even Trig Truth) but apparently not anything that shows her and her family in a sympathetic light.

It means that the Obama war room is so disconsolate that its daily onslaught of invective and venom directed at Sarah Palin over the last 6 months has barely scratched the surface and certainly not derailed Sarah's ability to remain a powerful influence or have a tremendous impact on the national political scene.
And finally it reveals the war room led by Axelrod and Emmanuel firmly believes that Sarah Palin is running for POTUS in 2012.
Doug - This was explained on a conservative talk show. There is some truth in that when the Founding Fathers (Libertarians) started they did not want to meddle in foreign affairs. The problem is in the Global economy this is next to impossible. Today we have to be responsible as well and look big picture. ie We could have stayed protectionist in WWII but if we did we would all either be speaking German today or would be lampshades. Protectionism today would be more secure borders. We are no longer a Start up Nations with more resources than we could ever have without being global.
We have to continue to keep the focus on the Democrat Party who, by linking to Celtic Diva's hate site, has given tacit endorsement to ridiculing a 1-year old child with Down's Syndrome. Diva herself is nothing. She's just a small (in a figurative sense) and useful idiot who has, I suspect, outlived her usefulness to the Democrat Party. Is that the argument DDJ made? That definition of libertarian is very old and outdated. The definition of "liberal" has also changed drastically. For example, a liberal in the classic sense is someone who believes in free markets which is completely the opposite today. Today's liberals (or progressives as they call themselves now) believe in government control over most aspects of their lives. The definition of libertarian today is also diametrically opposed to it's classical definition. Today, libertarian means limited government. Having the government tell me, for example, what kind of car I can buy, is as far from the principles of libertarianism as is possible. There is no libertarian that I'm aware of who thinks the role of government is to tell me what kind of car I can drive or where the DVD player in my car has to be made or by whom. DDJ may like the idea of having Obama force him to buy a GM (government motors) car, but I want to make my own choice. I choose Honda by the way.

It is past time to bring decency into the Palin administration. Laughing at a woman who had cancer being called a "bitch" on the radio is not only indecent, but inhumane. Laughing at a special needs, terribly and even potentially terminally ill adult is unexcusable and near as unGodly, unChristian as things gets. There is absolutely no excuse or reason for Sarah Palin to have been so utterly cruel and evil since she calls herself a Christian. Where is your outcry for a personal and then a public and sincere apology to Lyda Green televised and on the radio to the whole state of Alaska?

If you have one, let's hear it. Lay it on me. I want to know how being a libertarianism is consistent with protectionism. Can I assume by your quote above that libertarianism has a different meaning in Alaska than in the remainder of the free world? Is English not spoken in Alaska? Again, let's hear your sage wisdom on this topic. Don't bury it in an overnight thread. If your explanation is so profound, why not share it again?
