Sharpen Those Sabres - The Day Has Come
So the day has come. The hope that every loyal supporter of this site and the other myriad Sarah Palin sites has secretly held in their hearts for months on end, ever since that day of despair last November. At times it seemed that the hope was becoming forlorn, that passions would rise only to fall back in doubt and confusion. Last week was the worst of days. I read the comments here and was seared by the grief and pain of many posters, magnified in their despair by the taunts and vicious barbs of the trolls as they whooped and danced with delight, drunk with triumph as they sensed that their cowardly, twisted schemes had finally broken a good and virtuous woman.
And then came her speech.....emotional – yes....heartfelt – of course....sincere – without question. As I watched it, though, my first reaction was one of sadness. I thought of the despairing words of the Roman poet Catullus as he mourned his dead brother..
Frater, ave atque vale........Brother, hail and farewell....
But when I watched it a second time my perspective began to shift. There was sadness, of course, and regret but threading through the narrative a growing sense of hope and defiance....this was not submission, this was not surrender...this was a call to arms.
Productive, fulfilled people determine where to put their efforts, choosing to wisely utilize precious time... to BUILD UP.
And there is such a need to BUILD up and FIGHT for our state and our country. I choose to FIGHT for it! And I'll work hard for others who still believe in free enterprise and smaller government; strong national security for our country and support for our troops; energy independence; and for those who will protect freedom and equality and LIFE... I'll work for and campaign for those PROUD to be American, and those who are INSPIRED by our ideals and won't deride them.
I WILL support others who seek to serve, in or out of office, for the RIGHT reasons, and I don't care what party they're in or no party at all. Inside Alaska – or Outside Alaska.
And later, on Facebook, a more personal message, focussed directly on those of you who have kept the faith. For the first time she publicly acknowledged your loyalty and support and stretched her hand out towards yours...
I shared with you yesterday my heartfelt and candid reasons for this change; I’ve never thought I needed a title before one’s name to forge progress in America. I am now looking ahead and how we can advance this country together with our values of less government intervention, greater energy independence, stronger national security, and much-needed fiscal restraint. I hope you will join me. Now is the time to rebuild and help our nation achieve greatness!
God bless you! And I look forward to making a difference – with you!
Sarah
A few months back I wrote a post on my own blog about Sarah Palin. I suggested that after all the electoral excitement of last year she might follow in the footsteps of General de Gaulle and return to Alaska and wait for a call from her fellow Americans rather than throw herself into a frenzy of party political activity. Like all my previous posts I expected it to disappear unread into the ether. But to my astonishment I began to get traffic and that’s how a retired teacher from the ancient Wealden forests of Sussex became involved with C4P.
As you might guess Charles de Gaulle is one of my heroes although some commentators were unhappy that I should link the Governor with him as he was no friend of America – and I can appreciate that. He was no great friend of Britain, either. But, like Governor Palin, he was deeply proud of his own beloved country and risked all to restore and recover it’s greatness.
I now read the Governor’s two recent messages as very similar in spirit and intent to de Gaulle’s broadcast from the BBC to his fellow Frenchmen after the Germans crushing victory in 1940. Remember he spoke at a time when Hitler’s rule extended over most of Europe and his troops were already massing on the Atlantic coast of France to smash their way into Britain and initiate the nightmare of the thousand year Reich. America and Russia were on the sidelines giving no sign of being ready to intervene and this is the message he sent to the French people as they were broken and bowed beneath the Nazi heel..
But has the last word been said? Must hope disappear? Is defeat final? No!
Believe me, I who am speaking to you with full knowledge of the facts, and who tell you that nothing is lost for France. The same means that overcame us can bring us victory one day. For France is not alone! She is not alone! She is not alone!
All the mistakes, all the delays, all the suffering, do not alter the fact that there are, in the world, all the means necessary to crush our enemies one day.
I, General de Gaulle, currently in London, invite the officers and the French soldiers who are located in British territory or who might end up here, with their weapons or without their weapons, I invite the engineers and the specialised workers of the armament industries who are located in British territory or who might end up here, to put themselves in contact with me.
Whatever happens, the flame of the French resistance must not be extinguished and will not be extinguished.
Like de Gaulle in 1940 Sarah Palin sees her own beloved country heading for desperate and dangerous times. She herself is surrounded by enemies from all sides who seek to break her spirit. But her message is clearly one of defiance.
She has ridden out alone from the citadel and stands on the crest of a hill that looks down towards the unknown. She has unfurled her banner and waits to see who will join her.
Sharpen those sabres – the day has come.....

You mean she's "riding out from the north" as RAM describes in "Who is Sarah?" It is our time to rally around her.
I think she'll be ready to talk about it more after she leaves office.
I have a feeling she'll organize some kind of March on Washington thing.
Perhaps it is to protest the cap & trade bill or the health reform bill. She's more passionate on energy, so maybe it's to protest the cap & trade bill.
Perhaps she'll march to Washington with a crowd of millions (hey, one can only wish) to get the president's and all members of Congress' attention.
what a great article.
the comparison is perfect.
Fox guy will be doing interview with Gov. Palin tonight.
Don't know if on TV or not.
Awesome! What time?
Which Fox guy?
Thanks, AP!!! That Catullus poem was a favorite of my late mother's!
DRAW SABRES/SABERS!!!

Sarah's interview on Fox is tonight at 9 p.m. ET
Man! This is really starting to build! Team Sarah membership is just exploding today...and all the new members are ready to fight alongside Sarah! The Sarah Storm is really starting to swirl and thunder!
Woo! Interview! :)
I am not sure if it is an interview with Sarah or just about Sarah. The title is, What's Palin's next move?
I think his name is Sullivan; he was doing a report with Bret Baier and Bret said to watch for his (Sullivan) interview with Gov. Palin 2 hours from now...
Reporter is Dan Springer, not Sullivan. Sorry.
Governor Sarah Palin may not be the leader of the Republican Party (yet) but after her announcement the other day she has, I believe taken up the mantle of leadership in the Conservative movement.
To quote Susan B. Anthony
Cautious, careful people, always casting about to preserve their reputation and social standing, never can bring about a reform. Those who are really in earnest must be willing to be anything or nothing in the world's estimation, and publicly and privately, in season and out, avow their sympathy with despised and persecuted ideas and their advocates, and bear the consequences.
She must have struck some kind of nerve this weekend. I noticed this place has an uptick in trolls and the sleeper moby's have revealed themselves.
By the way just to show you that you cannot ASSUME anything I was over at HA and I posted as a throwaway line that Sarah would be speaking at the Reagan Library on August 8th. I thought everybody knew that by now. Not so apparently.
I'm afraid I put the speech at the Reagan library into the discussion here. While I found a couple of links to it, I have not been able to confirm it and it's looking like someone is in error. There is nothing on the calender of the Reagan Library, nor is there anything on either of the two sites I can find for Simi Valley Women's group -- including no reference to a 50th anniversary. The initial source seemed to be from the San Bernadino Republican Women's tweet. While it would be a great start, I'm suspicious that it isn't happening.
Wait, so Sarah is NOT speaking at the Reagan Library on August 8th? Yeah I saw Bret Baire say that Dan Springer will be interviewing her, but then he said that the interview will be shown tomorrow so I am not sure, will it be shown tonight or tomorrow??
You know in the set up piece for tonight, they supposedly had some
comments from legislators saying she was distracted, the same legislators that passed 11 out more the 450 proposed laws,
including "National Marmot Day" while she watched over the stimulus the negotiation on the pipeline that Ramras and Hawker
were trying to sabotage, and press
for missile defense and a hundred other steps.
I heard Bret say "in a few hours", not tomorrow.
WJ,
ABCNews confirmed it with a source from Palin.

Never did I hear Sarah claiming to be a victim, as the media has proclaimed. What I heard is, I am making myself available to join the fight, to take back our country and our freedom. No weakness there! Great blog.
techno...
i wonder how the ticket sales are going for Sarah's "coming out" party at the Reagan library.
has anyone heard anything?
i wonder how many tickets are available?
I saw a complete program with starting times and delineation of activities (cocktails/entrees etc) on the Internet. It sure looked legitimate to me.
Here is the link to the Reagan dinner invitation:

Take a look at this:
Bloggers Positive About Palin's Resignation
Chalk up another strange twist in the Sarah Palin affair. Just when we thought blogger attacks on the Alaska guv would spike, her surprise resignation is being met with positive blog buzz. Whereas her "Zeta Buzz" was 54 percent negative before her weekend resignation press conference, it has since changed to 69 percent positive, say our friends at Zeta Interactive. Here's what they tell us about Palin:

Here is another web site for the dinner:

palin-to-be-speaker-at-simi-valley-
ADN says she will be in Kotzebue tomorrow to sign a bill related to village cops, VPSOs, which stands for Village Public Safety Officers.
I am still waiting to see Sarah on Fox News, this is kinda off topic, but is Shepard Smith missing a few screws, he was going to break, gonna talk about Sarah, and there was this big picture of Sarah on the big screen waving(From the campaign) and he starts waving at her, and I was like, Ok this guy is a couple pickles short of a burger
Aged P: well stated. The part of Sarah's Friday announcement that you cite was key, and a clear confirmation that she was not quitting the fight but gearing up for a bigger battle on a much bigger plain.
And she put the GOP elites on notice.
Sharpening...
Greg here is the whole thing--AMAZING.
Washington Whispers: Bloggers Positive About Palin's Resignation (MSM stunned)
US News and World Report
Chalk up another strange twist in the Sarah Palin affair. Just when we thought blogger attacks on the Alaska guv would spike, her surprise resignation is being met with positive blog buzz. Whereas her "Zeta Buzz" was 54 percent negative before her weekend resignation press conference, it has since changed to 69 percent positive, say our friends at Zeta Interactive. Here's what they tell us about Palin:
Over the past few weeks, the blogosphere has been flooded with information—celebrity deaths, rumors, speculation, gossip and commentary. On July 3, another topic made its way into online communities, chat rooms and social networks—the early resignation of the always controversial Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin.
Zeta Interactive, a full service digital marketing agency, used its technology, Zeta Buzz, to find out how Sarah Palin's resignation was being taken online. Zeta Buzz technology uses complicated algorithms to mine the blogosphere and scrape information and data on a specific topic. In this instance, it was used to see whether the volume of posts on Sarah Palin, or her "buzz", went up following the news, and if that buzz was either positive or negative in tone.
As you'll notice in the chart below which tracks the amount of Palin posts over the past month, her volume spiked significantly on the day of her resignation, which was to be expected considering Palin had been rather quiet of late, especially compared to her normal media exposure.
In order to get a clearer picture of the Palin name, Zeta Buzz looked back at the month prior to the resignation (from June 3rd until July 2nd) to see what the tone of those posts were. As evidenced in the chart below, Palin's buzz was poor overall, coming in at 54% negative and 46% positive. It was also at a steady, low volume over this month and it appears that the conversations about Palin had been limited to those dedicated members of online communities.
Following her resignation on July 3rd, activity in the blogosphere spiked dramatically, as did positive posts on the topic of Palin. The past five days has shown a significant increase in positive buzz on the Governor, coming in at 69% Positive and 31% Negative, as shown in the charts below.
"We've seen that people tend to voice their opinions online in large numbers following a specific event and Zeta Buzz technology is able to sort through the thoughts of over 100 million mainstream bloggers to return a sense of public opinion on the matter," said Al DiGuido, CEO of Zeta Interactive. "These people who are actively contributing to the online conversations are becoming some of the most powerful publishers of our time. This Zeta Buzz data provides a detailed snapshot of how people respond to a particular event and it will be interesting to see if the blogosphere remains as temperamental as the media continues to report on new developments."
that's kewl Cuda!
At the conclusion of Bret's show, he said the interview would air tomorrow morning (way to be specific, Bret).
Guess I'll set the DVR starting at 6 a.m.!
Gotta love the hypocrisy of the left, for months all they have been yelling is how Sarah Palin should just "go away" now look at them, every second I see "Palin's future" "What's in Sarah's future" what the hell do they care, I thought they wanted her to go away, now they can't stop talking about her, every network, every so-called pundit who thinks they are geniuses are trying to figure out what is going on in her head..
Now on to this poll, the media is actually HELPING Sarah get more popular, just look at her twitter page, she gained 30,000+ followers in two days, that is AMAZING
I just watched the group on Brett Baier...one has to ask...did they see and read the speech I did? and others keep asking why she did it?
I nor do any of us know all the answers but we are doing as she ask "TRUST ME"...But what we(I) do know for sure is she loves the state of Alaska and she loved being its governor(her heart has to be a bit broke this was not easy for in the speech you can see her bit the side of her lip at times she didn't want to cry)...but she knew what was going on with all the complaints was hurting the people because of the cost and time she had to give to defend them...from what I read she knew for sure that she could not stop it and that it was hurt the people and state she loves...
From her speech:
It’s not what is best for Alaska.
I am determined to take the right path for Alaska even though it is unconventional and not so comfortable.
The answer is right there if they would just take the time to "really read it" but it goes back to what I have always felt "they don't understand a honest person who doesn't use big words but talks to the common person and just tells like it is...
Zeta Buzz data - thats a new one to me. But the question unanswered is why are they positive - because they think she is leaving politics or because they think she is running in 2012?
But the trend of interest and support for Sarah is undeniable.
Her Twitter account today has averaged over 1,000 new followers per hour.
Her Facebook page today has averaged over 1,000 new supporters per hour
It will be interesting to see how long this trend continues.
She no longer rides out alone from the citadel in Crawley to the crest of the hill that looks down towards Twickenham as you, David Riddick, have unfurled your banner and joined her. Sharpen those sabres, C4P'ers, your days of glory are coming!
The MSM and elitist Republicans heard what she said but chose to reinterpret it the way they chose and tried to spoon feed it to us. The more frantic they get the more convinced I become Sarah loves this country, will fight for it and will change the whole political landscape by trying to give it back to WE the PEOPLE.
The elitist and Liberals don't want that change. The change they want is who gets to sit at the head of the table, Repub or Dem, and order off the menu they want. Not change the course of this country. We want to fundamentally change the course this country is going in. We need to join her in this fight. We ned to make her successful because we will all benefit.
Great Aged P
hi guys!
Wanted to pass this message on.. Larry Kudlow on CNBC strongly defend Sarah Palin.. and called it the "Palin Movement"...
Larry, a conservative, supports Sarah's free market principles, her pro-capilitsm stance..
If you can find this TV clip and post it on your site.. that would be great..
it happened tonight on CNBC.. b/w 7:30 - 8:00pm
the TV clip was great.. just wanted to give you guys a heads up..

I'm very sad that Karl Rove on Bil O' show doesn't support Sarah . He just doesn't "get it". so tired of the talking heads saying she has made the wrong move by leaving office.... geezz
CCRWM
I agree with what you said
John Zeigler just did a great interview with O'REilly and just nailed it! He is a great advocate for her. Maybe O'Reilly regrets going back on his word to advertise her legal defense fund.
I think more americans get it than the pundits. My family are middle america all the way, and they know why she left office and think it is great that she would care that much for her state. I think most regular americans understand what the pundits, MSM, etc., don't understand.
Dee,
you said:
>> I think more americans get it than the pundits.
Right on !
I believe there is more of us than there is of them.
- and we stand on principle
Lady Texan, I heard Rove on O'Reilly. He has been a fan of Gov. Palin's, but he is looking at this purely from the POV of political implications for a pres run in either 2012 or 2016. He asks political questions that she will have to answer at some point.
Just because some who have supported her question this decision doesn't mean they are against her now.
Wait a second, Karl Rove doesn't support Sarah..All I can say is two words..
THANK GOD
Phew, thank goodness, and I was getting kinda concerned that Sarah hadn't made the right decision, but after hearing Rove babble on and on, now I KNOW it was the right decision
Hey "The"...you are obviously an extremely intelligent person and your powers of perception superhuman...lol...
Thanks gamsbo
Lady Tex...I have a DVR and just skipped right over Karl Rove by pausing right before he got on...I love it...not eating the BS being spoon fed to us anymore!
This site, C4P, has become even more important now and we have to make it the best Palin site around and support other like sites...
What will you do without freedom?
We cannot falter, in body, in mind, in heart, and in spirit.
She needs us now more than ever. And, the country needs us in what is turning out to be an hour of darkness.
Do not let her light go out. Do not go quietly in the night. Keep the fires of the camp lit my fellow barbarians.

Yesterday I posted a thought by a pro-life activist who welcomed the idea that Sarah Palin would be visiting the lower 48 more to advocate for pro-life and conservative issues.
That was reported in the WSJ. It was not taken as a significant news event but compared to the apparent cluelessness of the pundits it is.
Because these pundits-left and right are not clueless-they are nefarious-instead of creating a scenario like Bill Kristol did today where it might work all they can do is say she's crazy, she's a quitter and she's no longer viable while increases in her Twitter and Facebook over the last 3 days has been astronomical.
They have to be bought off.
Does Carl Rove have an email account?
Does this man know that Gov. Palin can't travel all over the country as governor of Alaska.
That she has to pay out of her own pocket for ethnics complaints and that when she leaves the state one or two complaints are filed. I am sick of these people who do not do their homework before commenting on something.
What makes me happy is that she isn't just Alaska's anymore, she is ours too!
The Aged P
Thanks for your kind words! It's clear that you will follow her all the way from Allyington to China, and Archway shall be the place where you can refresh your mind.
Call for action!
O’Reilly Poll:
Do you think Sarah Paln was smart to resign?
http://www.billoreilly.com/
GO VOTE!
FOUR WORDS:
Disappointed, but feeling better.
FOUR MORE WORDS:
Teach Conservatism Governor Palin.
THREE WORDS:
America needs it.
SIX FINAL WORDS:
We NEED Morning in America Again.
1-20-13,
I told the family tonight that if that day comes and Palin is sworn in I'm going to be in D.C. and they can come too, but I'm going to be in D.C.
Let's all take a pledge. ;-)
We are ready Governor Palin, ready to take this country back from the Marxist-Liberals that want to "remake" this country into a dependent, cowardly, down-trodden bunch of Global has beens.
We are ready Governor Palin, to help "TEACH" Conservative values and to not waste the bully pulpit of the White House. If we don't teach Conservatism we will NOT be able to have a succeeding generation of leaders that actually BELIEVE in Conservative thought and principles (much like Reagan had Bush 41 and Bush 43 squander the opportunity to lead a real revolution of thought and ideals).
We are ready Governor Palin. Let us begin anew the RESTORING of American greatness and relegate Liberal lies to the ashbin of history.
1-20-13, NOON.
Why is it that we Ordinary Barbarians -- common folks to some -- can hear Governor Palin's remarks or read her speech and understand what she means?
Yet the "smartest" people in the mainstream media and the so-called political consultants can't -- for the life of them -- figure out why Governor Palin stepped down. Oh, she's a quitter! Oh, she couldn't stand the heat! Oh, she just destroyed any chance of running for President some day, especially in 2012!
You jackasses, it's all right there in the speech. Just read it!
(Take a deep breath, Wilson P.)
Okay, I just watched "O'Reilly." You have to forgive me; I about threw one of my wife's good plates at the TV screen after listening to Juan Williams, Mary Katherine Whatever and even the intelligent mastermind Karl Rove make fools of themselves.
Thank God for John Ziegler and now Ann Coulter on "Hannity" -- they get it! ('Course John also gets so revved up he sometimes drowns out the salient points he is making.) And O'Reilly was more cogent than usual tonight about the Governor.
Bottom line: Most of these dunderheads do not understand what she did was best for Alaska -- so that the government can get away from the distractions and money being drained and then let Governor-to-be Sean Parnell concentrate on doing the state's business.
We'll just have to wait and watch as to whether Governor Palin will run in 2012, or whether her advocacy role develops into something else really big.
But I have a feeling the "experts" in media and politics are going to be shocked as to how grassroots Americans embrace Governor Palin for her beliefs and courage once the next three weeks are over, and she starts coming to events in the Lower 48 to speak out about "The One Who Must Be Obeyed."
This should be fun to watch!
"There was sadness, of course, and regret but threading through the narrative a growing sense of hope and defiance....this was not submission, this was not surrender...this was a call to arms."
This doesn't really fit as she has a history of quitting when the going gets tough or something she perceives as better comes along. This is a pretty histrionic piece.
Whoa, Baby.... doesn't every politician quit their job to move on to the next one? Is Sebelius still a Governor? Napolitano? Huntsman? Is Rahm Emmanuel still a Representative? Is Hillary Clinton still a Senator? Please enlighten me.
WHAT THE HELL?
I just found out about 2 hours ago..
Dropped out of a Canyon...turned on the radio after 4 days on No News..
AND THIS?
My Dad about wrecked the Motor Home...I nearly threw up and I think even my Dog was crying!
WTF?
Sarah and Family...just be happy!
That is all I want for you!
Folks,
This article and the video accompanying it are great. This Republican strategist really goes to bat for Sarah.
"Roger Stone: No Plus in Palin Staying as Alaska Governor"
http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/sarah_palin_roger_stone/2009/07/06/232562.html
I was driving a lot today, listening to talk radio. And I was thinking they have no idea who Gov. Palin really is. They were saying "why would she resign?" Maybe, it is because of her family, maybe it is because she can make more money, maybe she has a tv gig.
And I was thinking, do they pay attention, do they even know who she is. Do they live in a different world than the rest of us. And the thing that made me laugh was when they said they could understand those reasons.
They never thought her love for Alaska and our nation could be the reason..
Do they know that she resigned from the Alaska oil and gas commission because of corrupt practices. And the only way she could file charges was to resign. People were saying it was political suicide and then when she exposed people, Alaskans understood.
My bet (and I am not a betting person) is her MO will be the same. I am guessing after August 1st, she will go after people either in the Alaska's senate or in washington and start filing ethic complaints. If I were some people I would watch their back.
It is just my guess, but I think she probably checked with her Department of Law, and they advised not doing certain actions as Governor. So her answer was, okay I will resign..
Cruella, we all had the same reaction. It's good. Read her resignation speech, she lays it out there. We are excited, she doesn't have to split her focus any more. She can concentrate on rebuilding her party and opposing Zero full-time.
here's another supporter, and....
something completely different...another poll :)

AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!, I just canceled my cable LAST F-ING WEEK, and now all this hits. Is there youtube of Zeigler on O'Reilly? Cuz I really wanna see that.
Greta's interview with Kristen Cole is another reason it will be much better to have the Guv based down here. The delay between Greta's words and Kristen's ears was soooo long! made for terrible tv IMHO. Sometimes technology just doesn't cut it.
RINO..
No need for Cable..go here and you can watch FOX all day long

RINO
I recorded O'Reilly, i'll upload it on you tube later on and post link here.
Or you can watch FOX live on http://www.tvpc.com/Channel.php?ChannelID=1727
Cruella and Sheya,
Thanks!
Some thoughts from Alaska.
#1)Where does Gov Palin go from here?
Answer:
Look at my avatar.
(Sarah quoting from the book,"Lincoln On Leadership" during her Lincoln's Day Dinner Speech on March 20th,2009.)
- Gov Palin's embarking on a path with the 'spirit of Lincoln' emblazoned in her heart.
Her most important words may well be:"Politically,If I Die,I Die."
She's setting out on a trail that no politician has attempted since Lincoln...
Where that trail leads only God knows...
#2)Does anyone else have the heightened sense that something IMPORTANT happened with her July 3 announcement?
-July 3rd,2009 may well be looked back on as as THE turning point in taking our country back to the vision the Founders intended.
I feel that STRONGLY!
Today,I feel the nervous anticipation that the original colonists must have had back in 1776.
***Revolution Is In The Air****
OT but though you would love this picture as much as I do

The pundits seem to be missing a key factor that may have made her decision easier: 2010. Think in terms of the Chambliss rallies multiplied by X number of races. factor. This could have a key impact on the makeup of the House and Senate in 2011. I think Sarah knows the dangers we are facing under Obama, and that these elections are crucial to the country. She may even surprise us with some of her choices. I remember her saying she will support candidates "in either party, or no party at all".
This is something she could not accomplish as Gov. of Alaska.
she should have a little time to come out swinging against Cap 'n Trait, shouldn't she?
Anybody think she'll take that on ?
This is a great post and it puts me in mind of a quote from "The Art of War" that reminds me of Sarah and which I posted on her Facebook after her statement was published there:
"The general who advances without coveting fame and retreats without fearing disgrace, whose only thought is to protect his country and do good service for his sovereign, is the jewel of the kingdom."
Sarah Palin is our jewel and she's going to blaze the way for us to follow and fix this unholy mess.
Thanks Aged P, I Agree:
I've done the same thing, reading and listening to Sarah's speech, It was a brilliant example of Sarah's VISION of what all is taking place and has been taking place and her showing us what it is to be a true STATES-PERSON, something total foreign today in our political hacks.
It is all there in a most artful example of Statesmanship from an extraordinary figure of our time. Sarah is not retreating but advancing in a different direction, as she said , the battlefield will be on the street corners all across America where ordinary people live and work and from where Sarah came from.
She knows her brand and how appealing it is to ordinary Americans and she is willing to die politically, she is FEARLESS, she is accountable to a higher authority, not of this world, and refuses to allow the America she loves be destroyed.
"...magnified in their despair by the taunts and vicious barbs of the trolls as they whooped and danced with delight, drunk with triumph as they sensed that their cowardly, twisted schemes had finally broken a good and virtuous woman."
You guys do love drama, don't you?
And I guess I'm a troll because I don't worship Palin like most of you. And because I don't agree with you, the tyrant/cowardly moderator has deleted my comments.
BTW, I can explain the fascination of the left with Sarah Palin for you: she's so horrible to us that she's like a car wreck and we can't look away. She's a guilty pleasure like watching Jerry Springer. I have friends who actually want her to run for President on the Rep. ticket in 2012 so we can laugh at her while we cruise to a second term. Sorry, but true.
And btw, we're not cowards because we oppose her. She's a coward because she shirked her duty and quit the office to which Alaskans had elected her with no discernible reason that anyone believes.
mmmm...C David...glad to see you've got the latest Axelrod info sheet...
Drama?
It's all about the romance, just the romance.
Beautiful work, Aged P
C David,
here's one difference between your ilk and the supporters here at C4P:
all you attempt to do is TEAR DOWN whereas Sarah Palin is attempting to BUILD UP.
You really would like to see her destroyed, wouldn't you ?
If something really, really bad would happen to her, a good portion of America would laugh.
- Along with the devil.
"C David...glad to see you've got the latest Axelrod info sheet... "
Sorry, but I don't know what that is. The thoughts are my own.
Bill in Baltimore, the people I talk to see the same thing in Palin: that she is tearing down rather than building up.
Things like her "real Americans" comments go a long way to sow hate in this country, and I don't think that's good. I live in LA, and we in California pay more to the Federal Gov't than we get back. In other words, we're paying more than our share. So it makes me angry when someone says we're not real Americans because we don't live in a rural area.
That's just one example of the way she insulted a great number of people during the campaign. There are others, but we both have work to get back to!
Cheers from the left coast!
