Gov. Palin Gives "Stirring Speech" at NRA Banquet
Governor Palin attended an NRA banquet last night in Anchorage, where she gave a speech and also received awards. From the NRA Blog:
A star-studded banquet concluded the events of the NRA's XVIII Gun Collectors Seminar in Anchorage, Alaska on Saturday night, August 1, 2009.

Seminar activities included sessions on World War II in Alaska as well as the life of the common soldier of the American revolution and culminated Saturday evening with a visit from former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin who gave a stirring speech on 2nd Amendment rights. Following the speech she was presented with Life Memberships in The Missouri Valley Arms Collectors Association, Ohio Gun Collectors Association and the Dallas Arms Collectors Association. The members of the Missouri Valley Arms Collectors Association also presented Gov. Palin with an NRA Benefactor Life Membership as well. She was also presented with the NRA's Gold Medal Award of Merit for the Promotion of Gun Collecting. This is only the second time in 10 years the award has been presented on behalf of the NRA's Gun Collectors Committee.

We currently are just under $70 per barrel of oil during a period in the USA where demand is down to the very bad economy. Think about what will happen if and when the economy recovers? Oil might go down again if the economy takes another deflationary dive, but the fact that we are at just under $70 right now when the economy is this weak, should really worry people.
That is why her ideas to do EVERYTHING will resonate. Drilling, solar, wind, natural gas, nuke, to name a few which has been her position all along. DO IT ALL, AND DO IT NOW!

That Wapo report was positive actually. It shows the Mccain camp as basically useless but Sarah comes out looking great. Her utter confidence is amazing. Bottomline, Sarah made it because she was able to knock the answers in interview, particularly nat sec questions which Culvahouse already reported the other contestant bungled.

The WaPo is a nice piece makes Sarah look good. Nothing there I didn’t know. Among many things it makes clear that. A) Palin was selected as a game changer. B) The McCain camp was disastrously unorganized. C) Palin is tough-minded and self-assured. D) Besides the top 4-5 advisors no one in the campaign were aware of her selection until it broke in the media. E) Would they have prepared themselves better Palin perception in the country today would be much better.
Bottom Line. Thanks for McCain for introducing her to America, but if Sarah runs her campaign must run like clockwork.

Two interesting tidbits in the brief NRA blog about the Anchorage seminar:
1) Wayne Anthony Ross (WAR) hosted the four-day NRA seminar. So that's who arranged for Governor Palin to speak and, of course, with their relationship, it was done on the Q.T.
2) The highly visible national figure and spokesperson, NRA executive vice president Wayne LaPierre, was present in Anchorage for the seminar. Wonder if he and the Guv talked about potential events and tie-ins for the future? Important contact for Governor Palin!

Those posting here are on the same as on C4P. Make sure you link everyone to both commentaries to see what kind of lunacy Palin attracts. It is well known Palin herself endorses, as does her PAC C4P and their harassments. Palin knows these individuals are wired wrong. Guilt by inciting should anything happen to Grph will be at her feet.
