I like Neil, he calls it like he sees it. I am glad he brought up and gave credit to Gov. Palin on tort reform. His guest agreed also.
I think Sarah would be well served to show up on Neil's show. I have no doubt her would give her a fair shake and the event would be discussed by all the outlets and Oblahblah would comment...as always.
The guy from the Washington Examiner called Sarah, "your average citizen politician". He gets it!
I am very impressed with her understanding of the big picture. How could the democrats accept so much money from trial lawyers?

I don't think Sarah should appear anywhere right now, except possibly at the 9/12 March on Washington or one of Hannity's Freedom Concerts - unannounced.
She's working hard on behind-the-scenes stuff right now and putting out these written pieces to build her intellectual credibility, which numerous people apparently need demonstrated. Everyone knows she's a hottie, they don't need to be reminded of it (especially aging feminists). But lots of people still think she's an idiot, and these pieces disprove that impression.
They are important. They allow her to familiarize herself with the issue. They also serve to focus and clarify her own thoughts and positions, and to get many cogent, conservative thinkers on her side by citing their work and bringing them some attention. Together they may be able to build a conservative alternative to Obama's plan that the majority of people can get behind.
Maybe not. But at least she is putting up conservative opposition to Obama, which is more that I can say for the Republicans. In fact, I think I saw Michael Steele's face on a milk carton this morning.

Cavuto himself was reluctant in the first wave of the 'death panel' discussion, he seems to have mellowed on that point. Sarah just "gets it". The reason she does is because she doesn't think like a politician. She thinks and speaks with a servant's heart. Even when she speaks of her accomplishments in AK, she never uses "I". It is always "we". That's what sets her apart. It isn't about her, it's about the people & this country.
Please God, Bless her and keep her strong! She is one of the best of your children & we need her to help us through what may be to come.

This JP Friere nailed it by calling her a citizen politician. If only wonks (like Krauthammer) talk about these issues, no one pays attention. She is shrewd not to be giving interviews. People get tired of hearing the same old lines from the same old people. Yet, millions pay attention to and wait in suspense to hear from Sarah.
Name one politician or pundit in Washington who has had their comments repeated, analyzed or written about as much as Sarah has in the last what three weeks. She's leading them all on the path that she chooses including the Obama administration.
That's called leadership.

I agree, lmg... The Facebook strategy is much better than interviews at this point. Sarah can strongly put forth her ideas, and show the depth of her research and thinking -- unfiltered!
And, because she's "gone dark" it only build anticipation for when we'll see her "LIVE" again. She knows a little bit about marketing that PeeBo doesn't: a little goes a long way, and you should always "leave them wanting more."

It's clear as day just by looking at the footnotes that she is listening to her supporters and listening to the conservatives.
That Petrobras story was posted I believe at midnight on the East Coast. She utilized the 4-hr time swing to get a jump on that story and owning it before I went to bed here on the Pacific Coast.
I noticed that many people in this forum posted the link to the WSJ while we were discussing something else and that she should jump on it. She did it and jumped out in front of it before the blogs and morning shows took the air the next morning.

as a practicing physicians, I can tell you that the extra cost to the patient is not what happens in the courtroom. it is the every day, routine visits in the doctor's office. Test after test is ordered to cover yourself against a suit.
If a patient says, "Doc, do I need this cat scan?" The answer is "of course." Otherwise, if I miss something, the patient can remind the jury that I was asked to do the test.
Lawyers will be stopped only after they go after each other. Then they will demand reform.
Don't forget that lawyers are better paid, on average, than doctors
Sarah is following her instincts right now. She will show up when she is ready. I like her strategy of staying "dark" and use other tools to communicate. She is forcing the MSM to come to her facebook...the haters miss her too. Let their heads explode. lol.

Where did you hear this, and if true, I think its WONDERFUL for Sarah to appear on Sean Hannity's show..what's wrong with that..she knows how to talk, she doesn't need to practice speaking..she is excellent at it, she clearly knows what she is talking about. She is a private citizen now, I say she go for it. Sean is an excellent choice for her to give her first interview
Please, not Hannity. I cringe whenever he "interviews" conservatives. It basically consists of Sean reciting a list of talking points and leaving the interviewee (is that a word?) with nothing to say except "that's right". IMO, that type of appearance doesn't help Palin any more than sitting there while a liberal sneers at her.
Cavuto would be a good choice for an interview.
Timing is everything in politics and with Obama on vacation for the next little while Sarah could have the battlefield all to herself.
Why not take the opportunity to capitalize on her Facebook messaging and enhance her credibility further.
As you know I am a fanatic about Sarah not making an unforced error, but going on Fox News with a conservative or right-wing talk radio would be a good way of getting back into the interview mode.

I’ve been to C4P. It is a no-apologies pro-Palin site, well written, will exhaustive citations and links to support their featured posts. The featured posts often come from the ranks of the commenters. Like Sarah, they are making a difference, while you - like Krauthammer - whine about tone.

I tend to agree an interview with Hannity would be a waste of time. Neil, Kudlow or O'Reilly would be a better one.
That said time is her ally. Right now people are begging her. As it appears right now the longer she waits it will not be that things have died down it will be built up.

Notwithstanding, of course, that Ms McCaughey is lying for her own personal gain and the wished for political gain of the GOP. Look folks I know your asses are sore from having the first black president elected but I'll give you some "Inside Baseball" on the 2012 election: Sarah Palin will never be the GOP nominee for President. Equally horrifying, Mitt Romney will never be accepted by, you guys the white evangelical Conservative base of 20 million or so voters.
Between Mittens and Palin you control 52% of the electorate. Sadly both want top billing and pairing them up only gets 36% of the popular vote and wins only 11 states by our latest figures.
Here's what should happen the GOP nominates Jeb Bush in 2012 and the race is on. Jeb Bush can beat Obama in many states where Obama won in 2008 like Virginia and North Carolina. Sarah Palin will not ever be President of the United States all she can do is split the 52% of the vote between the fiscal conservatives and the white religious base. Do that and Obama could actually wing every state in an election in 2012 including the Bright Red Deep South.
The demographic you are playing to is shrinking. if you wanted to build a viable third party trying to base it in working and middle class religious white people 45 to 79 isn't a very smart way to go. You've got no money no future beyond 2020 and no ability to compromise. A dying whale on a beach is a novelty too-- for a few days. Such is politics.

One of your points was about the age demograph of current supporters. 45 to 79 year olds will essentially be gone by 2020. But the boomers are in that cohort. They have been the economic and social force in the past. Actually, in shear numbers they will still be a force in 2020.
It would be interesting to look at a projected profile of the voting population. Considering improvements in health care, even 89 year olds may still be viable.
However, third parties have historically been short lived. To expect survival for more than 10 years is not realistic.
Actually, the Republican party would be better off to focus on cultivation of a younger group. The families based in the early 20th century (Roosevelt, Bush, Kennedy, Rockefeller) have pretty much lived out their time.
One of the great appeals of Sarah Palin has been her "freshness" and "lack of tradition." It will be exciting to see how this develops.
