Obama Is Dividing the Country, Not Sarah Palin

Watch this:

I cannot believe what I heard in the above video.

First off, Kathleen Parker is a disgrace. She uses Sarah Palin in her articles because Palin is her gravy train. Before she attacked Palin during the 2008 election, Parker was an obscure and talentless writer. Now Parker is a famous and talentless writer.

This outrageous panel basically accused Sarah Palin of racism simply because she is a white woman. Merely being a white woman and challenging Barack Obama means that you are racist.

Apparently anyone who disagrees with Barack Obama about health care, cap and trade, and his fiscal policies is a racist or fomenting racism. The term socialist is now apparently a racial epithet. (Question: If I call Gordon Brown a socialist, am I calling him a racial epithet?)

This panel accuses Sarah Palin of being evil just because she challenges Barack Obama. They are accusing all of us of being evil simply because we disagree with Obama’s leftwing policies.

This website is, I’d like to think, a premier community for Sarah Palin's supporters. As all of our readers know, we have a banning policy for anyone who posts comments about the Obama birth certificate conspiracy. Obama was born in Hawaii. He is an American citizen. We don’t tolerate conspiracy kooks. In other words, we have nothing to do with these birth certificate conspiracists, and we are deeply offended that anyone would link Gov. Palin and her supporters with them.

Obama himself can put to rest this conspiracy nonsense any time he wants to. All he has to do is release his official birth certificate (not the "certification of live birth"). John McCain released his. What’s the big deal? It’s not an invasion of privacy. It’s just a document. What’s the problem?

These conspiracists are driven to these nutty theories because no one really knows who Barack Obama is. His biography is full of holes, as this article by Andrew McCarthy at National Review makes clear:

Yet we now know that this life story is chock full of fiction. Typical and disturbing, to take just one example, is the entirely fabricated account in Dreams from My Father of Obama’s first job after college:

Eventually a consulting house to multinational corporations agreed to hire me as a research assistant. Like a spy behind enemy lines, I arrived every day at my mid-Manhattan office and sat at my computer terminal, checking the Reuters machine that blinked bright emerald messages from across the globe. As far as I could tell I was the only black man in the company, a source of shame for me but a source of considerable pride for the company’s secretarial pool. They treated me like a son, those black ladies; they told me how they expected me to run the company one day. . . . The company promoted me to the position of financial writer. I had my own office, my own secretary, money in the bank. Sometimes, coming out of an interview with Japanese financiers or German bond traders, I would catch my reflection in the elevator doors — see myself in a suit and tie, a briefcase in my hand — and for a split second I would imagine myself as a captain of industry, barking out orders, closing the deal, before I remembered who it was that I had told myself I wanted to be and felt pangs of guilt for my lack of resolve. . . .

As the website Sweetness & Light details, this is bunk. Obama did not work at “a consulting house to multinational corporations”; it was, a then-colleague of his has related, “a small company that published newsletters on international business.” He wasn’t the only black man in the company, and he didn’t have an office, have a secretary, wear a suit and tie on the job, or conduct “interviews” with “Japanese financiers or German bond traders” — he was a junior copyeditor.

What’s unnerving about this is that it is so gratuitous. It would have made no difference to anyone curious about Obama’s life that he, like most of us, took a ho-hum entry-level job to establish himself. But Obama lies about the small things, the inconsequential things, just as he does about the important ones — depending on what he is trying to accomplish at any given time.

In the above fairy tale, he sought to frame his life as a morality play: the hero giving up the cushy life of the capitalist “enemy” for the virtues of community organizing. But we’ve seen this dance a hundred times. If Obama wants to strike a connection with graduating students in Moscow, he makes up a story about meeting his “future wife . . . in class” (Barack and Michelle Obama met at work). If he wants to posture about his poverty and struggle in America, he waxes eloquent about his single mother’s surviving on “food stamps” so she could use every cent to send him “to the best schools in the country” (Obama was raised by his maternal grandparents, who had good jobs and were able to pull strings to get him into an elite Hawaiian prep school). If he wants to tie himself to the civil-rights struggle of African Americans, he tells an audience in Selma, “There was something stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma . . . so [my parents] got together and Barack Obama Jr. was born” (Obama was born in 1961, four years before the civil-rights march in Selma — by which time his parents had divorced and his mother was planning a move to Indonesia with the second of her two non-African-American husbands). If he wants to buy a home he can’t afford, he “unwittingly” collaborates with a key fundraiser (who had been publicly reported to be under federal investigation for fraud and political corruption). If he wants to sell a phony stimulus as a job-creator, he tells the country that Caterpillar has told him the stimulus will enable the company “to rehire some of the folks who were just laid off” (Caterpillar’s CEO actually said no, “we’re going to have more layoffs before we start hiring again”).

The fact is that Obama’s account of his background is increasingly revealed as a fabrication, not his life as lived; his utterances reflect the expediencies of the moment, not the truth. What is supposed to save the country from fraudulence of this sort is the media. Here, though, the establishment press is deep in Obama’s tank — so much so that they can’t even accurately report his flub of a ceremonial opening pitch lest he come off as something less than Sandy Koufax. Astonishingly, reporters see their job not as reporting Obama news but as debunking Obama news, or flat-out suppressing it. How many Americans know, for example, that as a sitting U.S. senator in 2006, Obama interfered in a Kenyan election, publicly ripping the incumbent government (a U.S. ally) for corruption while he was its guest and barnstorming with his preferred candidate: a Marxist now known to have made a secret agreement with Islamists to convert Kenya to sharia law, and whose supporters, upon losing the election, committed murder and mayhem, displacing thousands of Kenyans and plunging their country into utter chaos?

I suppose Andrew McCarthy is a racist for even writing the above facts debunking Obama’s mythic narrative.

In 1987, Allan Bloom wrote “The Closing of the American Mind.” It had been closing for over 20 years before the 2008 election slammed it shut for good. Ideology has defeated all philosophy and all common sense. We’re not even allowed to question the dogmatic beliefs of the left. If we do, we’re racists.

Questioning Barack Obama’s policies or even his biography does not make a person a racist.

C4P has a very diverse readership. How dare these Obama supporters suggest that terms like “ordinary American” mean anything other than “ordinary American” of every possible race, religion and lifestyle.

Obama is not uniting this country. He is dividing it. His shameful involvement in the Professor Gates affair is a perfect example of his divisive hatred. He was championed as a “post-racial” president, but anyone who disagrees with him is smeared as a racist. That’s not racial healing. That’s dividing. That’s dangerous and harmful.

I’ve never criticized African Americans who voted for Obama because they wanted an African American to be president. I've never held that against them because my own father, who was a staunch Republican and a devout Catholic, used to say that he only voted for a Democrat once in his life and that was just to prove that a Catholic could be president. John F. Kennedy was a not a divisive president. He didn’t turn Catholics against Protestants. He didn’t denounce America as a bigoted country even though the 1960 election was filled with anti-Catholic slurs against him. We haven’t had another Catholic president since JFK, and yet the latent anti-Catholicism of American culture was put to rest after his presidency. Unfortunately, I don’t think the same will be said about Barack Obama’s presidency, though many Americans elected him with the subconscious hope that he would put to rest our troubled and tragic history of racism. Far from healing us, he has only wounded us even more by recklessly hurling the accusation of racism against anyone who has an honest disagreement with him.

His supporters are also dividing this country. They show their antipathy for ordinary people who disagree with them. They use bullying tactics to intimidate and to shout down anyone who wishes to protest. And if those tactics aren’t enough to shut you up, they'll simply call you a racist.

They accuse Sarah Palin of dividing the country along geographic lines simply because she is proud to be an Alaskan. Being proud of where you come from is apparently divisive. She never tore down anyone's hometown. They tore down hers. She doesn’t hate the Big City. She vacations there!

They mention that Sarah Palin is in Manhattan this week, and yet they still accuse her of being divisive. How is she divisive? I think they are the ones who are divisive. They hate Middle America. They mock it. They loathe it. They have contempt for it. Middle America doesn’t hate Manhattan or Hollywood. Middle America buys the stuff Madison Avenue sells. Middle America watches the movies Hollywood makes. Who are the real divisive people? Who are the real haters? It’s not Sarah Palin or the average everyday Americans she represents.

All she has ever done is demand respect for the ordinary Americans who want their voices heard among the power players.

We’re not racists. We’re not divisive. We love this country. We love all of it. We love our fellow Americans – all of them.

We’re tired of this leftwing president dividing us. We’re tired of his contempt for us. We’re tired of his apologies for us to foreign nations.

And we’re tired of his supporters smearing us on television.

You tell it RAM! Great rant. Thanks for starting my morning off right.

Joan August 6, 2009 8:15 AM

I was shocked this morning to hear the big "tie in" alleged by these women - the white woman vs. the black man. Honestly, do people REALLY think like this or do they just create such scenarios to inflame ignorant people who find joy in thinking the worst of people? I, too, and disgusted.

rae4palin August 6, 2009 8:28 AM

I love the smell of RAM article in the morning.

TangledThorns August 6, 2009 8:39 AM

This is MSNBC, what kind of fair coverage of Sarah Palin are we expecting? Obama is dropping in the polls so they're taking their frustrations on out on Sarah Palin.

Lipstick August 6, 2009 8:39 AM

I admit I did not watch the video. I have a policy about that regarding MSNBC but I know exactly what was said.

This is all very disheartening. If Gov. Palin runs for POTUS and I hope and pray she does. It is going to get ugly. ANYTHING that she says against Obama will be labeled racist. Yet that is what you do in a campaign. You point out how your opponent is wrong on the issues etc. still, Palin (or whoever is running against Obama) will be labeled a racist. How convient for him!

I hope by then the country will be so wide eyed about Obama's agenda and what he stands for and see what a mess we will be in (worse than Carter I know) that people will quickly denounce any of that racist talk.

Look at the town hall meetings, if you are against anything Obama does you are racist. I hope that doesn't play either. Perhaps by 2012 people will be sick of that cry.

BostonBruin August 6, 2009 8:46 AM

The American people are smart enough to see this racist nonsense is a smokescreen and will backfire.

Interesting video including
comments from the African-American Cambridge police woman who said she supported Obama but would not vote again for him:

Thanks RAM for the great info. People in this country have to be free to discuss issues without being called a rascist.

It just shows how threatened they all are by Sarah. She is no longer Gov, yet they can't stop bashing her. The left is filled with more hate than the right by a huge margin.

Greg August 6, 2009 8:47 AM

We saw this same tactic during the campaign. When 0bama's numbers weren't out of the margin of error, I don't know how many stories ran in the papers saying that if 0bama lost, it would only be because white people didn't vote for him because they are racists. Practically every talking head on MSNBC spewed the same line.

As we see 0bama's numbers drop, the cap and trade vote put off to next year because the majority of people are opposed to it, and a tough fight on healthcare, again, because most people are opposed to it, the MSM is trotting out the same old crap.

I used to warn everyone I knew who was supporting 0bama that we were going to be in for 4 years of having the race card played every chance he got, and he's been playing it on a regular basis ever since the election.

So far we've been told that TEA Party participants are racists, the those attending healthcare townhall meetings are mobs of racists, and everyone who supports Gov. Palin is a racist.

I have a feeling that there will be a huge backlash against that kind of talk in the coming months and years.

Bill in Baltimore August 6, 2009 8:50 AM

OMG, I am pissed, and I can't even view the video at work, I just read RAM's post.

While this is the height of outrageousness, it might also be the stick that broke the camel's back - Obamas.

For, as I have said before, I'll say it again:

Q: What happens when people find out they've been lied to?
A: They get mad

and

Q: What happens when people find out they've been lied to for a very long time?
A: They get VERYmad

Barbarians, don't get discouraged !

Put on your breastplates !

We have truth on our side, and the truth shall set this nation free.

cookboy August 6, 2009 8:54 AM

You said it! Fortunately, nobody of consequence watches that stuff. And things can only get better. Even if they get worse first.

wisetrog August 6, 2009 8:56 AM

RAM, this article would be perfect if you excise the bits of birth conspiracy theory. Just mention you don't tolerate that here but giving a big chunk of your space to NRO quote etc, distracts from your main argument. Just edit that part out (even though true) and it will be a great read.

Brian Davidson August 6, 2009 8:58 AM

Good point cookboy. The 89 people that watch Chris Matthews already despise Sarah Palin.

JeanA August 6, 2009 8:59 AM

So what are we going to do about it. We need a plan. We need enough people that everytime this happens we let them know how we feel. We crush their server, we overflow their emails. The woman on the right is clueless and a left wing liberal but Parker needs to hear from all of us.

wisetrog August 6, 2009 8:59 AM

What I don't understand is why they are picking on her now. She hasn't given a speech, or done anything to be in news, she hasn't challenged Obama anyway, cap n trade was days ago, she has kept quiet on the health care debate. She goes to New York city and eats in a fancy restaurant and that's occasion enough to call her a racist?

I know its MSNBC but they are putting out a new disturbing meme out there without any provocation. I'd like to know why.

Bill in Baltimore August 6, 2009 9:00 AM

I also want to say:

they are killing themselves.

Everyone is born with a conscience, and everyone has an innate sense of right and wrong.

I have also been saying and will say again:

- if they ignore her or dismiss her, her supporters grow stronger

- if they attack her, her support grows explosively

- if they join her, her support grows exponentially

gw34 August 6, 2009 9:02 AM

I have missed your articles. Keep them coming.

ShermanCT August 6, 2009 9:05 AM

As always, great article RAM!

MSNBC continued with their douchbaggery this morning by outing where Sarah is staying in NY.

GoneWithTheRINO August 6, 2009 9:07 AM

Did Donnie Doeutch complain this morning that Sarah wouldn't let him in her bedroom?

wisetrog August 6, 2009 9:21 AM

Dr.Violet Socks of the Reclusive Leftist had an awesome name for the blogs of gryphen etc. She called them the stalker blogs. I think similarly MSNBC has become the stalker network.

M. Minnesota August 6, 2009 9:21 AM

Great Post RAM!!!

Regarding the MSNBC Meme,

If Sarah Palin does decicide to run for POTUS and during this period of stumping for canidates, I think she should take some advice from Ed Morrisey (NARM, Hot Air)

She should do an "Opportunuty Tour" Robert F. Kennedy did a "Poverty Tour" during the 60's.

She should meeet quietly with people who intmately know what is on the minds and hearts of those who are close to or below the poverty line.

Nicky August 6, 2009 9:23 AM
This post has been removed by the author.
DanO August 6, 2009 9:23 AM

I expected the "she's the face of racism" meme right before she hit the campaign trail for like-minded candidates in 2010 and again after the 2012 nomination, but to take a stab at wisetrog's question, methinks "the book deal" is really "the book(s) deal" as has been hinted here and elsewhere. So I wonder if some of the unedited book(s) material has been seen by HarperCollins employees who have tipped off friends in the media that "this is going to be BIG..." hence the rapid restart of the smear machine.
Could she be so clever as to release two books at once? That would tongue-tie the media critics who are trying to establish a single coherent takedown meme.

Kevin August 6, 2009 9:23 AM

I agree wholeheartedly except in one regard. I don't appreciate your comments about fellow citizens who, in having valid suspicions about Obama's motives for hiding his birth records, are then automatically labeled "kooks." Your tone shows that the Left's smear efforts have an effect. Notice also how the Left is now beginning to portray opponents of Obama's healthcare who are showing up at Town Hall meetings. Are they kooks too? Are you going to throw them under the bus too because the Left tells you they're a "mob?" So called "birthers" are largely NOT CONSPIRACY KOOKS but rather are citizens with suspicions and feel it is incumbent upon Obama to allay those suspicions. To speculate on possible motives for Obama's refusal to reveal his birth certificate IS REASONABLE and is not conspiracy thinking. By the way. . .the Left is using this very smear tactic to get Sarah supporters to do what you just did to the so called birthers.(i.e.throw her under the bus)

Greg August 6, 2009 9:24 AM

Bill in Baltimore,
Everyone is born with a conscience, and everyone has an innate sense of right and wrong, except liberals, especially where Gov. Palin is concerned.

ZH August 6, 2009 9:25 AM

Great article Ram.

And about MSNBC (and some other media) ; they will do anything to discredit and trash Sarah.

Sheya August 6, 2009 9:26 AM

RAM – Well said.
(Calling Gordon Brown a socialist, would be giving him a compliment, he’s way past socialism.)

I have said this before, the lower Obama’s numbers go the harder the hits on Sarah will get. But what I didn’t realize is that the bigger the problems in the country the more the “American People” will be targeted, and who is the voice of the American People? Sarah Palin!
Targeting Sarah is a direct assault on the American people.

Nicky August 6, 2009 9:26 AM

@wisetrog: I don't see anything wrong with the article. RAM was clear in her article that Obama can make this birth issue all go away if he releases his original birth certificate and not just a document certifying live birth. However Obama and his friends will not do that because as long as he doesn't realize the official certificate people will keep the issue on and then he (Obama) will continue to point to the right as nuts.

I just hope black in America will see that Obama is using them an he is one hell of an opportunist. He says one thing in Egypt -Africa (no country has a right to tell another country how to govern) and says another thing in Ghana -Africa (condemning Africa leaders and her dictators). My point is that in Africa, Egypt has one of the worst government and one of the longest still serving dictator; but Obama can't say that in Egypt because he wants to appease the Muslims.

Obama is pure liar and thats the way I've always seen him.

BostonBruin August 6, 2009 9:26 AM

Laura Ingraham is talking about this very theme today - that people want ObamaCare to fail because they want our first Black President to fail.

wisetrog August 6, 2009 9:34 AM

Nicky, there's nothing wrong with it. I just meant the article would be more concise and read better if that digression about birth certificatesd would be truncated. I can imagine independent readers starting to read this sympathetically but suddenly getting turned off when they the words "birth certificate".

Since, Sarah has never mentioned it, why include that argument in a Sarah related post? That only gives the impression that Sarah has said something about it.

There's nothing wrong with RAM said and I agree with her 100%, just think that part is avoidable.

Bill in Baltimore August 6, 2009 9:34 AM

JeanA,

you said:
>>We need a plan. We need enough people that everytime this happens we let them know how we feel. We crush their server, we overflow their emails

- you are correct.

We also need a way to educate ourselves on Sarah, basics and advanced (I will have more to say on this later, but I have a good idea and I've been toying around with it)

The talk show hosts, conservative and otherwise, also need to be educated.

Jenny August 6, 2009 9:35 AM

These people are jealous of Sarah because she is everything they are not and wish to be.

I am an olive-skinned Cuban American, so I must be a racist for supporting Sarah Palin.

Parker is a loser.

Nicky August 6, 2009 9:43 AM

Wise...

I get your point, but you know thats what the left want. They want people to feel guilt when the issue is raised. In as much as I and you and most C4Pers believe he was born in the US, but if Obama was a guy who stands by his words, he should know that not putting out the official certificate is to exclude (a minority) and not the inclusive act he promised to practice at his inauguration.

Anyway, I expected this though. Obama is a pure lair.

Yogi41 August 6, 2009 9:46 AM

I'm past the point of getting upset at what these columnists say on MSNBC. I've heard it all before. It was first used against Hillary and Bill and her supporters; I was flabbergasted that the Clinton's could be branded as racists and Obama and his lapdogs could get away with it. Then, ordinary Americans were called racists. Then, McCain. Then Palin. It just continues and it is not going to stop as long as the media and Obama continues to use this tired old hand.

However, I can tell you that it doesn't have the same affect anymore. They're branding way too many decent Americans as racists and stupid that it's just going to backfire in their face. Parker will fade, Walsh will fade, Matthews will fade, but the people will not. We're just going to get stronger and things like this will not distract us from our goal: taking our country back.

For supporting someone other than Obama, I listen to these personalities call me all sorts of names and now, I just shrug. No more anger, no hurt feelings - nothing. When you hear it said against you constantly for the past 2 years, immunity sets in.

For one, I'm grateful that these women and men expose themselves bare as to what they think and feel. It saves me from wasting time reading their columns or watching their shows.

And for the life of me, I cannot understand those of us who continue to watch these stations like MSNBC, CNN, and read columns by Parker, Noonan, Frum, etc.... and then complain about it! Stop watching it, stop reading it. And if you are drawn to watching it or reading it, then by all means, stop complaining about them. You know what they are and you know how they think and feel about America.

There are plenty of other shows and columns to read that won't make your blood pressure shoot through the roof.

Illinois Conservative (Whitney) August 6, 2009 9:51 AM

I haven't had the chance to watch the video. I probably shouldn't right now, as it seems that it'll likely tick me off.

Well done article, RAM! It has always frustrated me that dissent towards President Obama is automatically seen racist. Racism is a form of prejudice, just as assuming one is racist because they do not support the policies of a man of African heritage is a form of prejudice.

By the same argument, those who voted for Barack Obama could be labeled as an ageist and a sexist because they didn't vote for McCain/Palin. Of course, that doesn't fly with the liberals if it is regarding Republicans or conservatives.

I remember reading a post on Michelle Malkin's website where she wrote about how many times she had been called a racist. She even posted some of the horrible comments that people said. People expected that,as a minority, she would be more supportive of another minority.

juju August 6, 2009 9:54 AM

Great Post Ram...I started watching Matthews and I had to turn it off it was so disgusting.

This does not do Matthews or those women and good. It actually helps Sarah.

I wish she could be one of the speakers at the 9/12 DC march. She is the voice of the ordinary people.
That would piss OBAMA so much he would have a stroke. Palin in HIS TOWN in front of thousands.

Hal August 6, 2009 9:54 AM

I loathe Ms. Parker. As I told some of my fellow contributors last night, I almost sent a very rude and scathing email to Ms. Parker last night. I decided not to send it after reflecting that I am not the type of person to rip someone that crudely in an email. But I have to say, Ms. Parker is the lowest of the low when it comes to columnists. She is no better than Jesse Griffin or any of these other far left nutcase bloggers who try to tear down Gov Palin. Ms. Parker was a nobody until she started criticizing Gov Palin during the campaign. By implying that she is a racist and linking her to the birther movement is absolutely ridiculous. She is IMO just an opportunist hack who is riding Gov Palin's coattails by heaping criticism on her. I've come to expect it from MSNBC and Chris Mathews and I basically ignore it. Ms. Parker is a nobody. Everytime HotAir links one of her articles I email Ed and Allah and ask them to stop. She is total scum and should not even be allowed to write for a major newspaper. And mind you, this is not the first time she has written or said things like this. In fact HA linked a column of hers yesterday that was more of the same crap. Even though I could not bring myself to write an email to her, I encourage everyone to deluge her mailbox w/ emails.

MWN August 6, 2009 9:56 AM

They've got nothing, folks. Nothing. Palin has not yet begun to fight, and Obama is still supposedly in his "honeymoon" period. And this is what they're reduced to?

The Emperor has no clothes!

Wilbur Mercer August 6, 2009 9:58 AM

The name of the company that Obama worked for is Business International Corporation, or BIC.

The company has been identified as cover organization for the Central Intelligence Agency, e.g. see Lobster Magazine, issue 14 in 1987. According to a lengthy article in the New York Times in 1977, the co-founder of the company told the newspaper that "Eldridge Haynes [the other founder] had provided cover for four CIA employees in various countries between 1955 and 1960".

sharon August 6, 2009 10:00 AM

These people are sick.... You can never get me to believe that one half of the country listens to this nonsense and accept it as truth... I mean "Obama one of us"?... That is crazy.

Yogi41 August 6, 2009 10:09 AM

Okay, I will say this about a portion of that clip which made me laugh out loud! The part where Walsh and Parker act horrified about the "terrible treatment" towards Sotomayor! Isn't that rich? Aren't they a pair? These 2 clowns sat there with a straight face and acted as if Judge Sotomayor has been the most raked over nominee ever. Do they even remember Clarence Thomas and the poop he went through? Justice Bork? Alito?

Jeez....

Forgot to add that RAM's article is on target. Yes, Obama has always been divisive; it's how he's gone through life and it's how he continues to get elected.

I spent a lot of time on the pro-Hillary blogs in 2007 and 2008, and heard about their experiences with friends and co-workers who supported Obama. It was CRAZY how relationships ended over the primaries.

Not to mention, the treatment these long-time Dems got from their own party. They were tossed to the curb for supporting Hillary and it was painful to read and experience that kind of shoddy behavior towards them.

They are now PUMA blogs, which I like to read now and then. They haven't forgotten and are wiser to how Obama and his supporters behave.

I tell you, these PUMAs are going to be most valuable to Palin as she goes forward. From their experience, they will form a protective wall around her and they will fight back.

I know we will, too, but it's going to be fun having throwing these bums out of office in a bi-partisan manner. :)

wisetrog August 6, 2009 10:11 AM

Wilbur, Are you saying Obama was involved with a CIA company? Wow. Things get murkier and murkier.

FredHeadBill August 6, 2009 10:12 AM

RAM - Very well written, we need a President that will unite America not divide by class or color. I want a President whose biography can be fact checked as the truth. I want a President who see's no need to apologize for America's past, and expresses joy about Americans being involved with goverment. I want a President who embraces the Constitution with awe as written by the Founding Fathers, who will protect it and this country with her life if need be.
I want a President that has balanced a budget, that respects the military, that has Faith in God, and believes the Bible is the written word of God. Yeah! I want a President that believes that God has blessed this land with abundant resources to be used for our health and prosperity. I want a President that understands dissension is normal for a free society, and that our freedoms hold us together like a family, acknowledging the blood that was spilled for these liberties and rights as precious scarifice. I want a President that is chosen by WE THE PEOPLE and not picked by the main stream media. I want a President that has a servant's heart, that understands it not their money but the peoples money. I want a President that will arrest and jail lawbreakers whether they're congressmen, bankers, CEOs, mechanics or ditch diggers they're all equal under the law. A President that doesn't excuse bad behavior or call police stupid. I want a President that knows the sacrifice that is being made everyday for this country by those in the military, who is ever willing to honor them. I want a John Adams, a George Washington, a Thomas Jefferson, an Andrew Jackson, a patriot thru and thru. Able to inspire the best in each of us, to encourage independence, self-sufficiency and pride of country as normal.
I want to say 'Thank You Madam President!'

O/T ... Why is there no thread on Sarah's Facebook being shut down??? Please take this seriously. It's been shut down almost 24 hours. And all the FB pages for our politicians have been shut down as a smokescreen.

So if you're a fan of Joe Biden or Barack Obama (LOL) you cannot access the FB pages.

Moreover, I have been BANNED from ALL participation on FB pages because I posted on Sarah's page frequently.

Wake-up! This is what they told us they wanted. They asked for people to snitch on the healthcare disinformation, and now they have shut Sarah's FB down because it was proving too effective at spreading the TRUTH.

People, I know it's fun to talk about Sarah's twitter and the Alaska ankle-biters, and Kathleen "Jealous" Parker.

But we're talking about a First Amendment crisis! We need to get the word out EVERYWHERE. This is Stalin-esque. They're systematically shutting down dissent.

And if you think it can't happen to C4P .. think again. I had been participating in Hillary's Village for six months. They were a leading critic of Barack Obama. They are now SHUT DOWN.

If we don't stand up, we're gonna find ourselves suppressed.

You are right about the Puma's. If Sarah really wanted to build a coalition of conservatives she would forge a partnership with the PUMA's and the Hillbuzz boyz.

They will be a big asset to her and very loyal. She can do that without compromising her positions or beliefs.

CodaCuda August 6, 2009 10:30 AM

Yogi41-----

I agree about the PUMAS as a conservative I found it fascinating to read what was going on between O and Hillary. The Rules committee was the final straw for the real democrats (PUMAS). I may not agree with there policy choices but I do know they love America and for that I can respect them. I just hope more conservative can put there difference aside with the PUMAS and realize they are a asset in the fight to regain America's greatness.

RAM---great read. These clowns have diluted the term racism so much it no longer holds the same connotation as it once did. i.e. the Grates issue.

Great piece RAM! I tried emailing the link to your post to Parker using an email address she responded to me with before. She must have changed it since it was returned undeliverable. Me thinks she has been getting a lot of, shall we say, uncomplimentary email these days and was forced to change her address.

BinB: well said. Like you, I am unable to access the video at work but have a good sense for the essential content.

Of course many Obama supporters will cynically hurl the "racist" charge. They're increasingly anxious, and the tactic fits their character.

But they should first answer this:

Do the 90% of African-Americans who voted for Obama espouse all of the "values" promulgated by the national Dem party, including enforced "tolerance" of and special "rights" for any and all who thumb their noses at the Creator and violate His laws and admonitions, despising His grace? Not likely.

Is it not far more likely that instead they voted for Obama mainly because of his [father's]... RACE?

Sure, in terms of ethnic pride, and on a basic human level, that was entirely understandable. Many of us sympathize.

But that voting decision was also more racist than anything Sarah Palin has ever done.

Put that in your pipes and smoke it, all of you self-righteous judges of other people's motives.

Right On RAM re: "Thought Control"...

Saul Alinsky's Rules For Radicals

1. "Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have."

2. "Never go outside the expertise of your people. When an action or tactic is outside the experience of the people, the result is confusion, fear and retreat.... [and] the collapse of communication.

3. "Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy. Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)

4. "Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity."

5. "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counteract ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage."

6. "A good tactic is one your people enjoy."

7. "A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Man can sustain militant interest in any issue for only a limited time...."

8. "Keep the pressure on, with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose."

9. "The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself."

10. "The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this unceasing pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign."

11. "If you push a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counterside... every positive has its negative."

12. "The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative."

13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. In conflict tactics there are certain rules that [should be regarded] as universalities. One is that the opposition must be singled out as the target and 'frozen.'...

RAM, your comments about the divisive issue of Obama's duplicity re: his birth certificate is right on the mark.

1. "Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have."

If supporters of Sarah think that the "birther" issue is a negative for Sarah, well, of course I'm in agreement with the policy of C4P, protecting Sarah's interests is paramount, so do NOT allow conspiracy theories onto your domain, your C4P comments section.

If anything newsworthy breaks, either by World Net Daily or on the drive-by-media, I'm sure C4P will deal with it too, appropriately.

To deal with it with clarity and humor, I came up with a bumper sticker type of phrase, hope you like it.

I don't want to be overly melodramatic here, but I'm viscerally upset about this even without having seen the video.

the WORD will triumph, so yes, we have to flood her and others.

we also have to organize our WORDS so we can educate others quickly so they can see what crap is being beamed over the airwaves.

I will have more to say on this later, but it sure seems like Aug 29 would be good to launch because won't she be doing something big ?

Bill: Yes, the 9/12 March on DC is planned and they have a web site where you can suggest speakers. Just goggle 9/12 March on DC. At the top of the page on their web site is where you can suggest speakers.

Lots of people have suggested Sarah and other conservatives. They have pointed out that Sarah would bring in lots of people.
I wish Sarah would go just to stick it in OBAMA's eye in his front yard.

I read some place where they are having a difficult time judging how many people will be there because a "bus" might register as one person. A lot of states have bus loads going. I live in Calif. or I would be there for sure.

Sen. Voinovich, who was quoted in the opening remarks of this video, is one of my senators (Ohio). I just got off the phone with his local office, telling his staffer there how disappointed I am in his position and how it is being used by the left to further divide this country along racial lines. I asked the woman on the phone if he had a comment or clarification about this but was told she had been given "no official position" in this regard. I can't tell you how upset I am over what is going on in our country - even by those we've entrusted to represent us.

Yogi41 August 6, 2009 11:01 AM

Ernst,

PUMA's are Hillary supporters who were maligned by their party during the '08 primaries. Many of them remain Democrats, but don't follow the party line. Many left the party and became unaffiliated voters, and some switched to the Republican party.

There are an estimated 7 to 9 million of them and they vow never to vote for any Democrat who maligned them, and that included many of the Congress and Senate people who backed Obama and threw Hillary overboard.

PUMA is an acronym and it stands for PARTY UNITY MY A$#.

Many of them are long-time party members, and not just your run-of-the-mill voters. These were active Democrats: they attended meetings, townhalls, volunteered, gave money, gave time - just overall hard workers who were actively involved in party politics.

Obama and his supporters tossed them aside and they have the scars to prove it. I blogged with them during the primaries because I was more interested in the Democrat race than our own. The crap that was pulled on them is heartbreaking. These are women and men who will not forget in 2010 and 2012, and right now, when you read their blogs, most of them are ready to help Sarah over any other Republican.

I'm not saying all of them will vote for her, but quite a few of them will. One thing she can count on is that all of them will NOT stand by and watch her be smeared. They'll fight back, as they had to fight in 2008.

Folks, it is time to come up with some plans of action in TAKING BACK THIS COUNTRY NOW !

Here's the situation:

- we are at the start of a new school year (primarily I am thinking college)

- we are right around the corner from the 2010 election cycle

- Sarah is still on the cusp of her "new direction", free as an eagle

So, since we can't wait until 2012, nor even 2010, to take back this country, we have to do it NOW

Here's a short term plan with an eye to the long term goals:

- We have to energize the youth in this country to understand and embrace conservative values.
o this has to be done at the beginning of this school year, supporting not Young Republicans, but CONSERVATIVES-4-PALIN.
o Rush Limbaugh needs to have "Youth Challenge Week" Sept 7 - 11 (who out there can coordinate this ? juju ? great, let us know how you make out

o We need to organize C4P at all schools across the country. Because unless I am missing something, SP is the only true conservative in town, no ?

o this enthusiasm of the young people (who will hear the truth for the first time) will carry us into the 2010 election cycle.

o then 6 short months after we kick the living sh** out of the Dems in 2010, it will be the start of the primary season in Iowa, etc.

o so you see, it has to start RIGHT NOW, for the Tea Parties on Sept 12. WE CANNOT DELAY ! ! !

I will have more to say on this later, but this is the YOUTH ACTION PLAN for C4P !

manajordan August 6, 2009 11:17 AM

Great write up per usual RAM.

The treatment of Sarah Palin is a template for the treatment of any Americans who oppose President Obama's agenda. So, I personally consider it an honor that I will get the chance, in a smaller way, to emulate Sarah's response. We respond with truth, courage and with a servant's heart. I personally am in it mostly to serve the next generation. We will be called every name in the book, the most obvious of which is racist. The insane thing is I, as is the vast majority, am judging his administration according to his policies rather than the color of his skin, which is what Dr. King dreamed of.

All this means to me is the young conservatives, eager as they are, watch too much TV to get their news.

I e-mailed Ms. Parker and let her know in a polite manner that I disagree with Obama's policies, but that hardly makes me a racist. Obama is the one playing the race card just as gays play the gay card. Now, before calling me a homophobe know that I am gay. I am 58 years old and belive me I understand. The problem is the hatred that comes from these groups is so vile. This does nothing to heal the nation. In my opinion it is not the nation that needs to be healed it is the hateful groups. I come to this site because the people here are informed and love this country. I also love Sarah Palin and her family. Why, because they are like my family, and your family, and it has nothing to do with being black, gay, white,Oh hell pick one.For me it is about love of country and my individual right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.I will spend what ever time I have left in this world defending my right to disagree with things that I view as wrong. You would not believe how many times I have been asked "how can you be gay and be a conservative". I know this happens with Blacks and Women and all of the others that liberals try to exploit. It is funny the look liberals get on their faces when I tell them it is because they are the real racist and bigots because if you do not think like them then your life cannot possibly be worthwhile because it was not validated by them. Really!

Folks,

I just got this e-mail from Mike Huckabee through Human Events. I tried but couldn't find the actual link on their site.

You think Cap 'n Tax is bad ?
How about the HealthCare debacle ?

here is the worst thing EVER:

=============================
Dear WILLIAM,

In July 2007, Barack Obama promised a group of his supporters that, if elected president, he would sign perhaps the most evil piece of legislation in the history of our republic.

It's called the "Freedom of Choice Act," or FOCA -- but don't let the Orwellian title fool you. It isn't about "freedom" or "choice" at all. It's about forcing each and every American citizen -- regardless of his or her view on abortion -- to support abortion-on-demand not just as a "fundamental right" but as a taxpayer-funded entitlement.

But the compulsion wouldn't stop there. Because FOCA would also run roughshod over the conscience rights of doctors, nurses, and hospitals that oppose abortion on religious or moral grounds -- forcing them to provide or counsel for abortion or face professional de-certification, loss of funding, lawsuits, and even prosecution.

Not only that, FOCA would immediately strike down any and all state restrictions on abortion -- even those with wide popular support, such as prohibitions on partial-birth abortion and parental notification requirements for minors seeking abortions.

Make no mistake: FOCA is the most radical piece of pro-abortion legislation ever proposed, one that would go far beyond Roe v. Wade in making abortion a government-protected and taxpayer-supported "right," through all nine months of pregnancy.

Not to mention calling birthers "kooks" is pretty funny coming from a website which has dedicated multiple threads to a black musician who claims he hit on a preg sarah and was turned down because of his race ....

I guess there is a reason FREE REPUBLIC has more posts on the birthers subject in the last 3 days than this site has had total comments in its entire exisistence on ALL subjects..

Über August 6, 2009 11:55 AM

I think the key point of this article is that if you question or reject any part of this man's philosophy, narrative or policies, they use Alinsky tactics to minimize you. You're a Birther. You're a Racist. You're a Redneck.

The left is so completely consumed in identity politics that they have no understanding of taking a principled position on something because it's the right thing to do.

This is why Sarah Palin must be destroyed...because she is principled...not perfect (I don't put anyone on a pedastal) but rather someone who says what she means and means what she says.

She DEFIES identity politics. Her gender, her education, her family, her choices, her life...all come together and form a stake that drives through the leftist, progressive's heart because by their standards, she should not be where she is.

Our challenge is to recognize this chink in our enemy's armor and to capitalize on it. We must mock their Alinsky tactics...and then out Alinsky them...expose them as liars and to present a principled stance on our country that is not limited to people of a particular age group, or race, or gender.

But this means being aggressive in the political ring. There is no room for polite discourse on these topics.

The sooner the bozos in the GOP figure this out and stop worrying about offending the delicate sensibilities of those who are seeking to destroy us as a nation, the better.

Very good article, RAM. You are a gifted writer.

Bill in Baltimore August 6, 2009 12:11 PM

Panchita,

we have to worry about a poll like this !

If young conservatives are following Romney and dissing Sarah, they are getting / listening to the wrong information !

I understand your theme, but to me it's like Proctor and Gamble ignoring rumors about their logo ! it backfired on them big-time, yet the rumor was baseless.

what this straw poll means is that the media controls even our young conservatives ! they voted EXACTLY like the media wants them to vote, that is, for two sure-fire losers Romney and Jindal, and NOT voting for the person who scares the living sh** out of them - SP.

so this cannot be taken lightly !

did you read my YOUTH ACTION CALL for C4P (above at 11:16)?

Your delightful Americanism is showing again, RAM. As a retired cop I am naturally looking for the truth and Obama's continued obfuscation and apparent pathological lying only raise my hackles further. The racism issue will only divide us more, which is sad and dangerous. May Sarah Palin and those of us who see her as our country's salvation be strong enough to endure and overcome.

As you so aptly state, if Obama would only release the academic and birth documents in question, all this concern could be put to rest. In law enforcement, we must verify the facts in order to validate the source of critical information. This is monumentally more critical in the nations highest offices. They swear, as I did, to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America." If only they would!

I smell panic mode in Chris Matthews. He knows Sarah Palin is the only real challenge to Dems. If Conservatives retake Congress in 2010 she will be the main force behind it. Also, in 2012 she is the only challenge to Obama. So they have done their best to destroy her & failed. Now they play the race card & tie her to the Birthers as being the fringe. Nice try Chris Matthews but Americans are starting to wake up to your Saul Alinsky tactics & are feed up with it. As for the Birthers, I have never really given much thought if Obama was born Kenya, since he is ineligible to be President because he is not a Natural Born Citizen as required by the U.S. Constitution. A Natural Born Citizen is one whose parents are U.S. citizens when they are born & they are born in the USA. I want to emphasis parents in the plural, meaning two. We know as fact that Obama father was not a U.S. citizen when he is born, so he is not a natural born citizen & ineligible for the Presidency. However, the way the MSM is going after Orly Taitz who they label the Queen of the Birthers & her recent announcement of a possible Obama Kenya Birth certificate makes me think that maybe Obama was born in Kenya.

She has a cadre of fans who have not forgotten her and are fiercely devoted to her--- but so do the Grateful Dead and no one expects them to unite or divide the country.

Sarah Palin is either a political genius or very fortuitous to choose this time to be out of the spotlight.

Obama has a harder time to use her a bogeyman and can't use her to take the public's mind off his falling poll numbers and the growing fervor in the disfavor of the American people for Obamacare.

M03 August 6, 2009 12:42 PM

An effective way to counter the effort to paint the entire Republican party as a bunch of kooks is to point out the left's pervasive and well-documented belief in dozens of conspiracy theories.

This is what our folks need to do when asked about the "birther" issue. First, say it's stupid, and then proceed to point out the myriad of way more unfounded conspiracy theories so widely worshipped as fact by the left.

There's a lot to work with there, guys. Easy pickins. Prepare yourself before that appearance on Matthews or wherever, and you can throw it right back in their face. Before you know it, the media will be loath to bring it up, because their kookiness will be on the table for a change.

PEC August 6, 2009 1:10 PM

I am not going to get to worked up over this as it does point toward the new racism in America. The only thing is it is not racism it is classism.
Think of the Cambridge incident. Obama prejudged the incident. Why? Yes partly the color of the person arrested but blacks (as are whites) are arrested everyday and there is no issue by Obama. BUT if they are from that rulling political class in America as a Harvard Professor is then the belief is no way a Harvard Professor could be wrong against a little man policeman. This caused Obama to prejudge the case and say the Cambridge police acted stupidly.
I have mentioned before, sure Kathleen Parker lives in little Camden SC BUT it is like so many towns (I know Camden) and they have their what is called blue bloods. They look down on the other people in town and believe they are better than them . Many times railroad tracks divide the town and all of this is based on Textiles or similar industries. Often the Mill heads had all the workers on a "mill hill" and ensured they never got ahead. This mentality still exist amongst the crowd Kathleen Parker runs with in Camden, SC. A point is whenever she talks she is MRS Small Town. Keep this mentality in mind. Sarah is a Mill Hill, other side of the track person to Parker and she wants to ensure that Sarah never gets ahead.

Need something anti-Obama or pro-Palin to do? Try writing Feinstein and/or Boxer as they have both recently attacked Alaska's wildlife policies (while ignoring CA's own LOWLIFE policies), and mis-characterized the vocal opposition to Obama's propositions as the FAKE voice of a pid mob, intent on "hurting our President".

Boxer is actually saying that the GOP and/or anyone who does NOT agree with the proposals in an 1,100 page UNREAD document, does NOT have a say so in their own future in this country! Time to wake this old prune UP!

Wow, they are as bad as their leaders.

Steven August 6, 2009 2:14 PM

Kwaisi,

All you care about is race, but race really isn't what conservatives focus on. We focus on the individual. As an individual going up for the Supreme Court, Sotomayor can legitimately be viewed as unqualified by a Senator having nothing to do about race. When the Democrats opposed Sam Alito and John Roberts did they do that because of their race? Why is race not a consideration in the thinking about whites as it is always about minorities?

Race is a means to secure political power by the elites. The Democrats love racial politics, because it allows them to secure political constituencies. If you believe otherwise, then I have to question your Ivy League education. This whole simplistic thinking of yours that Democrats are good and Republicans are racist, belies any notion that you are truly an independent thinker. Palin supporting or not supporting Sotomayor could never determine whether she is a racist or not as your question implies. If Palin was a racist, I can assure you, with the media scrutiny she's had, we would know it by now.

So Kwaisi, why not debate the issues on the merits instead of engaging in these false characterizations you mistake for arguments. Try learning facts and debating whether or not your facts back up your thinking. And try to do so honestly and see whether or not liberal orthodoxy stands up to real scrutiny, instead of against demagoguery and straw man. If after than you still can vouch for your leftist viewpoints, God bless you. But I will hope that in the end you will have a better appreciation for your fellow Americans who legitimately have a different viewpoint of how this country should be led.

Steven August 6, 2009 2:17 PM

Kwaisi,

By the way, explain the Democrats opposition to Clarence Thomas and Miguel Estrada? Was that racial and where was your concern about the race question in those cases?

Geedubya August 6, 2009 2:22 PM

One good indication of whether you're an "ordinary" American is where you come down on the Gates affair.

Are you on the side of Gates, or are you on the side of the black male officer who was on the scene, and the black female officer who said she voted for Obama, but never again?

Those two are ordinary Americans, who instinctively recognize and are repulsed by the un-ordinariness of Gates.

It's about having a mindset of thinking that a few at the top of academia and government are better equipped to judge what is best for the rest of us, as opposed to believing that nobody has a corner on that market except the individual for him/herself.

EdFab August 6, 2009 2:24 PM

Ban Kwaisi and scrub his racist bullshit.

katiejane August 6, 2009 2:24 PM

I have to agree that it is not Palin who is dividing this country. Any supposed advances the election of a minority President should have shown have been lost by the incessant invoking of the race card by the Left everytime the people who didn't vote for Oabama say anything nonsupportive of his plans.

People get tired of being called racist just for disagreeing with Obama's liberal goals. Are there people who dislike Obama because he's black - of course there are. Were there minorities who voted for Obama because he was black - certainly. Were there people who didn't support Hillary or Sarah because they're women absolutely. But liberals really need to wise up and accept that conservatives are unlikely to be supportive of a POTUS who is as far to the LEFT as Obama is - the color of his skin is not the problem - it is where people think he plans on taking this country.

Personally I find it hard to believe that Obama didn't have to produce a valid Birth Certificate somewhere along the line. So I'm inclined to think he meets the requirement. However the very fact that he refuses to make his records, to include his educational ones, public only divides the the country by not settling this issue. I have to assume that he enjoys this discord and how it destroys any sense of trust the citizens have in him. Does the tension give him another "victim" card to play? Does it give him another "those hateful neo-cons" are picking on me mantra to fire up his groupies?

Forgot to mention - Kathleen Parker is an idiot and a shrew and I stopped reading any drivel she puts forth months ago.

katiejane August 6, 2009 2:30 PM

She is latina though. Why the staunch opposition by you guys. This is similar to the staunch opposition to the black guy in the White House

If anyone had any doubts that Kwaisi is a fervent supporter of racial/identity politics and little else - the above quote seems to refute that quite well.

Sapwolf August 6, 2009 2:34 PM

Kwaisai,

An Ordinary American has the following characteristics:

* They do not judge people by their race,

* They do not judge people by their status,

* They believe that as an American, you have a right to free speech, especially if you happen to disagree,

* They do not accuse you of racism solely because you have a different opinion,

* They do not think it is fair to vilify someone just because they have a different opinion,

* They believe that you should read and understand legislation before you vote for it,

* They don't like it when people talk down to them as if they are stupid, when they are simply asking questions,

There's a start.

Steven August 6, 2009 2:35 PM

No need for that EdFab or we are no better than the liberals who claim they are tolerant. As bad as Kwaisi thinking is, he is not obnoxious and out to overwhelm the comments section with spam. Definition of Ordinary Barbarians:

http://www.conservatives4palin.com/2009/02/alfalfa-stimulus-and-ordinary.html

About as good a definition as you'll get for "real americans" as opposed to the plastic faces you see on television, the professional sports players, the movie stars, the lifelong politicians or the trust fund babies. I usually generalize by saying Real America is everywhere that is not Manhattan, D.C. or Hollywood. Although I have it on good authority that you can find a Real American in even those places if you look hard enough.

But Kwaisi you only want this definition so you can bash us over the head and make us defend it, because you are a pissant.

I think it is time you defined diverity for us. I'm pretty sure the only diversity you are interested is ethnic diversity, because you are too myopic to think about thinks like geographic diversity, gender diversity, viewpoint diversity, etc. Considering you are a member of the privileged class between your exclusive prep school and exclusive boarding school and probably exclusive law school, I don't think you've ever encountered real diversity (or adversity, for that matter) in your life. Get over yourself.

Unlike any requests the guy in the WH puts forth.

Lee,

I share your frustration, not towards the trolls like Kwaisi who continue to come to this site, but to the regulars here who continually engage him (and the others, like Sandra, red, and so on.)

Why do you keep engaging these people? How hard is it to scroll past the post and not type a reply? Is it really that hard to ignore him?

He/she want to push your buttons; they want you to get into a tit-for-tat with them, and you willingly oblige! Come on, people, get some discipline.

President Obama looking in the mirror each morning:

Who do I want to be today?
Hhmm?
Tapping his finger (not his middle one) against his chin.
Hhmm?
Maybe the star of a prime time tv show!
Maybe a subject of the Saudi king!
Nah, maybe a big league pitcher!
Ooohh, ooohhh, ooohhh, an automaker!
How about a doctor!
Or a Greek orator!
A perpetual campaigner for sure!
I do not want to be a poll droppingser!
No way, big guy, do not be a poll droppingser today!
Perhaps a healthcare salesman!
I hope I can do something to do with sports! I loved when I got to do the March Madness brackets!
Hopefully not a word calibrater, especially of Joe Biden! He wears me out!

Whatever I'm gonna be today, I know I will do it wonderfully, because I am The One(as he winks, clicks his tongue, and points with both index fingers at himself in the mirror.)
Look out world here I come!

Sapwolf August 6, 2009 3:23 PM

Kwaisai,

Another reason I suspect you are here commenting is that you ARE on your way to an Ivy League law school. There may be similarities between your life as an elite black man compared to the President.

Based on your past comments, you have spent much time in the DC to Boston corridor. This is an elitist area, but there is no reason why you would not be an ordinary American.

You can be a member of the elite without being an elitist, AND you can be part of the elite without letting your head get big.

You want to understand what it is about Sarah Palin that makes her real.

Focus on her past life for start, and then focus on the history of America.

Ultimately, her appeal is huge because when you find out who she is, you find out how GOOD a person she really is.

This is why your camp, elite statists have difficulty.

The average American truly believes in the existence of good and evil.

She is not perfect, but even her weaknesses and frailties make her sympathetic and lideable.

Toki De La Vega August 6, 2009 3:26 PM

This outrageous panel basically accused Sarah Palin of racism simply because she is a white woman.
===

It's funny that no one ever mentions that Sarah isn't even married to a white guy.

And some assclown thinks "Real American" is a racist and divisive?

Than I guess G.I. Joe is a divisive racist.

Someone call Reverend Al! It's time to protest Hasbro toys!

Nancy August 6, 2009 3:30 PM

My opinion of an ordinary American is:

Sees America as a melting pot and not a tossed salad.

Is proud that, oppressed people around the world, when they see military come over a hill, want them to be American military.

Is proud that our enemies fear American military coming over the hill more than any other military.

Believes government needs to get out of the American individual's way.

Know that all men are created equal, and treat all that way.

Believe in American exceptionalism.

Believe that anyone can do and become anything they want in America, because this is America.

Governor Palin is not a racist. I am not a racist.
When people insinuate that she is a racist, they are insinuating that I am a racist.
For me it's all about content of character, and when you do that to her, I question your character.

Maybe Bill in Baltimore is simply "spinning back" what works and using it against the Obama Left a la Alinsky?

Hey, Bill is right on... sometimes when visitors question our integrity... well, the purpose of this C4P forum is to present Sarah's interests in a positive manner, not to get sucked into answering inane questions that have no substance in reality.

Bill in Baltimore August 6, 2009 3:38 PM

hrh, lee, others,

I've taken a different approach to trolls.

I believe they should be engaged and eliminated (=leave this site).

I don't see any difference between someone coming into your house and spewing venom. you're going to just sit down and shut up ?

I don't agree that "scrolling past" the comments is a better use of time.

If trolls come in your neighborhood, you don't just close your doors and pray they'll go away.
- No you shoo them away, by any means possible.

Also, while I'm engaging, others can do other things.

In fact, the whole point of C4P is to engage trolls in the MSM, no ?

I understand what you are saying, I am just advocating a different strategy with trolls.

They need to be called out and eliminated (=leave this site).

I haven't heard from sjk for a while, though he pooped up yesterday (pun intended).

I haven't heard from DDJ for a while, right ?

It's a battle, and I'm not taking their crap.

Bill in Baltimore August 6, 2009 3:40 PM

Art in Telles,

thanks for the support.

I don't think we all should engage, but I definitely think silence is the wrong approach.

lonestar August 6, 2009 3:42 PM

How can the media keep calling the birth certificate issue a right-wing issue?
An attorney named Phillip Berg who was also a big democratic fundraiser for HRC filed the first lawsuit and continues filing legal challenges. He is a big time democrat. Why don't we hear about him at all?

sandra August 6, 2009 3:43 PM

Bill: you are showing evidence of being a trollist.

EdFab August 6, 2009 3:43 PM

Folks, Kwaisi brought up one thing that I think needs some fleshing out. With his questions on the demographic diversity relating to members of this site, it was obvious that he was insinuating that this site has a membership of mostly whites. Ergo, the site is composed of mainly racists.

He's either blinded by his identity politics, specious in his arguments, or he's a genuinely shallow thinker (and he's going to attempt to become a laywer...my money goes that he flunks out.) I've got a son who is in his second year of law school, and he'd run rings around Kwaisi. Anyway, back to the topic...

However, we all know that the democrats are the party of racial identity politics. All one has to do is look at any demographical breakdown politically by race.

Blacks by a huge margin are democrats. Latinos by a huge margin are democrats. Consequently, there is a noticeable disparity in color when republicans gather together.

But there is a very good reason for this: it's called ideology.

If you favor the right for citizens to bear arms, if you favor limited government and low taxes, if you don't want the feds dictating abortion rights, if you favor racial blindness over quota systems, if you don't want a welfare nanny state, then you will gravitate to the republican party. It's ideology not racism.

And this is how Kwaisi should be rebutted.

My support for Sarah Palin has nothing to do with her 'ordinaryiness', which is BS anyway. If anything, she is extraordinary. My support for her is ideological. It's as simple as that.

Meanwhile Obama stands diametrically opposed to me politically. I cut him no slack just because he's black.

Larry Sheldon August 6, 2009 3:47 PM

A real American doesn't spend much time wondering what a real American is.

And certainly doesn't spend any time on checklists and ticket-punches.

OT - Attached is a poll done by CNN July 31 through August 3rd. Many polls were done at this time and almost all included Sarah Palin that we saw. All had a negative spin on Sarah. Note on this poll who is missing from the persons list. They have Obama, Biden, Michelle Obama and Clinton. They did not have Sarah. Did they poll about Sarah and did not get the desired results so they did not lists her results.

TommyReport August 6, 2009 3:54 PM

PEC,

They almost certainly did and will release the results tomorrow.

What CNN does is release some results earlier in the week and other results later.

They released Obama's personal numbers today and released his healthcare numbers earlier in the week.

They'll probably release stuff for Palin tomorrow.

jesse griffin was obsessed with john Edwards, this is what he wrote back then about him:

"They make the most natural couple in the political arena. There is no chill in he air like the one we detect between the Clinton's. There is no clumsy, agonizing to witness, kiss like the one Gore laid on Tipper. There is just the most natural, loving, relationship between two high profile people that I have seen in a very long time".
"it is clear that one of John's biggest strength's is the love of his wife, and the love that he has for her"
"They have a the kind of marriage that the rest of us can only hope for someday"
"I mean John is not just some piece of cute political meat. He has a brain. And a wife.
I think that we should perhaps be a little offended at Barack Obama treating our candidate like an object.
(You know I am just now looking at that picture of John Edwards and I just have to say that he is one fine hunk of simmering southern eye candy. No wonder Obama has such a man crush on him.)"

ok, we all know the rest of the story, as matter of fact Reilly hunter appeared today in court before a grand jury,

ok but Edwards has the best relationship, and SP is divorcing, that's hilarious, this jesse sees day as night & night as day, beside lying.

Stephanie August 6, 2009 4:05 PM

I can't look at the video, because "those people" make me want to beat the crap out of somebody. I'm not normally that kind of person, but this president, his administration, and his bazaar group of Czars is dividing this country in a way that I'm afraid is going to cause some real harm to this country. That has absolutely NOTHING to do with BOs' race. None of that matters to me, at all. If he was the whitest of the white, he would still scare the crap out of me. His policies, and his obvious goals of how he wants to change this country is the problem. He and his cronies don't give a damn about this country or the American people. It is ALL ABOUT POWER & CONTROL!!!

They think we are stupid, and inept. They look down their nose at the good, hardworking people that made this country great. BO has gone out of his way to hide who he really is, and has no conscience about lying to the American people on a consistent basis.

RAM, thank you. You post speaks for many Americans. Sarah is not the problem. She is our hope. She may not ever run for another office, but what she brings is an uplifting spirit. A belief that we can stop the madness. What they are doing to her is because everything else they have tried has not worked. They think that if they use the race card, that will be the one thing that will make people recoil, because racism has become such a horrific thing to be associated with. It will not work, because reasonable Americans know that it is NOT TRUE. We have seen the face of racism in this administration, and it is not Sarah, and it is not the wonderful people of this country that disagree with BO. It sits front & center in the WH & they are the ones with their hand in the back, pulling the strings, of some in the Democrat Party, the far left, and those in the media who follow blindly as they walk right off the cliff.

The more they do this kind of stuff, the angrier people are becoming. For a while, I wondered if they realized what they were doing. Did they know that the more they belittle the American people, the more the anger & resentment from the people slowly boils to the surface. The answer is becoming clearer everyday. Oh, they know...it is what they want. If the people rise up, they will come down with a heavy hand to squash any resistant. They are laying the ground work, and I fear for our country.

Debtstar August 6, 2009 4:06 PM

There's a silver lining in this, if the only thing left for them is race bait they're on their last lap.

PEC August 6, 2009 4:08 PM

tommy - Agree but the poll released lots of info and appeared to be all the results with lots of questions asks. Normally they only talk one headline but you can always see the whole write up. They could go for a double headline (though not much of one with this poll as Obama is slipping). You could be right but if it doesn't happen it is safe to say they didn't get the desired results.

PEC August 6, 2009 4:12 PM

PEC August 6, 2009 4:12 PM

RAM - You need to send this write up to Fox News, Hannity, SarahPAC, Rush etc. It is eloquently written and nails what is going on in the media. I would send but this deserves copywrited and it is yours.

PS - These type of writeups and the research by all the editorial staff is why this is the best Sarah site.

TommyReport August 6, 2009 4:13 PM

PEC,

They skip from question 7 to 17 and probably don't want to show the results until tomorrow.

They released everything past question 27 earlier in the week.

I guess what I'm saying is that she was question 8 and they'll release those results tomorrow.
