SarahPAC Gives to Bachmann, Blackburn, and McDonnell

Politico reported today that, among others, SarahPAC has contributed to:

...Reps. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota and Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, Virginia gubernatorial candidate Bob McDonnell...

As stated on SarahPAC's website:

Your support of SarahPac will make it possible for Gov. Palin to continue to be a strong voice for energy independence and reform. By supporting SarahPac, you will allow Gov. Palin to help find and create solutions for America's most pressing problems; priority number one is building a strong and prosperous economy that recognizes hard work, innovation and integrity by rewarding small businesses and hard working American families. SarahPac will support local and national candidates who share Gov. Palin's ideas and goals for our country.

We've covered the media's handling of the routine request for additional information that SarahPAC received here.

I am so proud that she has supported Michelle Bachman. She and Sarah have a lot in common. Both are strong family woman who are not afraid to let their VOICE of OPPOSITION be heard.

Way to go Sarah!!

McDonnell is getting hammered right now for that thesis he wrote.

On the subject of Michele Bachmann, did you all see her response to a heckler at a town hall:

http://michellemalkin.com/2009/08/28/rep-michele-bachmann-to-heckler-ive-given-birth-here-probably-more-times-than-you-sir/

It's very reminiscent of something Gov. Palin would say. :)

Michele Bachmann is a great choice for her to support. The others i don't know any thing about

Hi Whitney nice profile pic, but I like the baseball pic better. I hope the Asia trip is confirmed soon.

Patty Hewes August 31, 2009 10:37 PM

Tommy, Does this recent thesis fiasco make it less likely that the McDonnell camp will invite Palin to campaign with him?

Nicole August 31, 2009 10:42 PM

I love that she gave to Bachman, she is the one good politician from this state! I did see the heckler comment, it was pretty funny and got a great reaction from the crowd. Go Michelle and Sarah!!

pam08 August 31, 2009 10:48 PM

the Oreilly show said tonight sarah was going to Asia

TommyReport August 31, 2009 10:50 PM

Patty,

Actually, I think it makes it more likely considering that the point they are trying to hit McDonnell with was his alleged thesis statement that women should stay in the house or something to that effect.

Well, he could show that he no longer believes that by inviting her considering that she is the most high profile political female figure in the country at the moment.

Steven August 31, 2009 10:50 PM

These are good conservative voices and Virginia is obviously an important state to have in 2012. McDonnell being the governor will sure help Palin in 2012 there. Blackburn worked in Fred Thompson's campaign and has been a strong advocate against this health care legislation, owing to Tennessee's experience with state-run universal health care. Besides supporting strong conservative women like Bachmann, is always a plus. Good to see Palin spending SarahPac's resources wisely.

Shaping up into another stellar week for Palin. First with the implicit indication that Meg Stapleton is no longer in charge of her event plannings with the hiring of the DC firm and now with SarahPac's contributions to key candidates.

Greta just mentioned some news on her show about Gov. Palin traveling somewhere.

latinchic August 31, 2009 10:56 PM

Vehemently agree to giving to Bachmann. In fact, I encourage everyone to give to Bachmann.

section9 August 31, 2009 11:05 PM

These are at least two of the three I wanted to see her give cash to. Bachmann and McDonnell's campaigns are a must. Blackburn I did not know about, but if she's one of Fred's people, then that isn't bad at all.

Price of WI and Tom McClintock are two she should consider.

Saxby? He can go pound sand....

Gina August 31, 2009 11:14 PM

As a Virginian, Sarah, I thank you.

As for the thesis, all I can say is Deeds must be absolutely desperate if he's resorting to digging up old college papers. Keep it up, Creigh.

johnmd August 31, 2009 11:14 PM

Off topic on this post but how bad does this this Asian trip make the other 2012 contenders look? Imho they just went down the ladder a step or two and if it goes great maybe more.

Section9,

Let's see if she gives to Marco Rubio and whoever emerges to oppose Harry Reid. But on the whole she made some good choices. Lindsay Graham is the most suspect, but everything has to be looked through the prism of her ambitions for 2012. Do you want Graham on your side come time for the South Carolina primary? It helped McCain against Romney and Huckabee in 2008, might help her in 2012. Trying to keep the McCain apparatus that won the nomination in 2008 in tow is not a bad strategy going into 2012.

I am SO happy that she gave money to Michelle Bachmann, I absolutely ADORE her. She is a strong, Conservative woman who reminds me SO much of Sarah. She is the 2nd most hated female Republican out there(Sarah being the first) Also, Marsha Blackburn is another amazing woman. I really like her too

Couple of good lines:

Jim Treacher

Sarah Palin can see the lefts heads explode from her house!
SondraK

Over 1700 invitations for speaking engagements, etc. I'm confused, wasn't it the nasty lefties and political elitists that announced that she was finished publically. And didn't somebody do a poll that said Sarah Palin should just settle into being a housewife? Looks like there are lots of groups, organizations, and ordinary barbarians who disagree and have faith that Sarah has a fairly exciting future and will go on to BIGGER things (1600 Pennsylvania Ave, I hope)

I am excited if it's true that Sarah has finished 85% of her book. Looks like a big part of her nationwide book tour just could coincide with lots of 2010 election campaigns and fund raisers. Could that just be a coincidence or could Sarah Palin actually be a damn good strategist? I'd be willing to lay my money on the latter.

Don't ever underestimate this lady. Remember she's a Barracuda- a fish with a lot of FIGHT.

You Go Sarah. Knock um DEAD!

Thank you Sarah Palin for contributing to Michelle Bachman!!!

If someone were as talented a documentarian as John Ziegler, they literally could have made "Media Malpractice Minnesota Style" You would not believe the treatment Bachman was given in the local media as opposed to Keith Ellison running in the 5th district. Also, The Conservative Christian Republican African-American Barbara Davis White who was running against Keith Ellision; COULD NOT GET ANY MEDIA WHATSOEVER TO SAVE HER LIFE!!!

That's the Minneapolis Media Mafia for you!!!

Hey, everyone!

Sorry I haven't been around lately. I've been going through a life-change that has given me a lot of work to do.

By December, I hope to be in KOREA! A Palinista in Korea...how happy.

Praise God, though, that he's been helping me through all the strife. And here's to hoping he utilizes the good Governor for some of the big things coming up.

moon816 September 1, 2009 2:05 AM

M. Minnesota,

I read that even the Republican Party didn't give Ms. White much support she needed & even told her to shut up, just like the republican party in AK w/ the Guv?

manajordan September 1, 2009 2:40 AM

Miles,

May your new beginnings be blessed. It's good to hear from you.

Jamika September 1, 2009 4:03 AM

Hmm, I hope she gives some money to Rand Paul and Peter Schiff, who are running for senators of Kentucky and Connecticut, respectively. These guys are real fiscal conservatives and nothing like the RINOs that plague the Republican party.

Bean Counter September 1, 2009 6:45 AM

Marsha Blackburn is an acquaintance of mine. She's THE most popular congressman (she prefers that she be called congress'man' - none of that PC bs for her) in Tennessee, and a solid, principled conservative who I would follow, like Sarah, into the gates of hell.

She's worked her way up the House GOP leadership food chain and has got a very bright future. Frankly, I'd love to see her become Speaker someday.

section9 September 1, 2009 8:05 AM

Steven-

My take is that she stays out of Crist/Rubio.

Rubio isn't getting any real traction and Crist is both a FOJ (Friend of John) and treated her well and campaigned with her last year. Crist has stumbled a bit, but there's no upside for Sarah to piss off major sections of the Florida RPOF just to hitch her wagon to Rubio, who has a bright future, but will lose this primary.

Marco will be Governor of Florida someday, and perhaps President of the United States. He's got what Palin has.

jimr3 September 1, 2009 8:42 AM

Bean Counter,

As a fellow Tennessean, I want to echo your comments about Marsha Blackburn. Even though she is not my congressman, Zach Wamp is mine; I have followed her career enough to know that she is a good and decent public servant with solid conservative principles. I think this is an excellent choice and a very wise contribution by SarahPac. Sarah and Marsha would make a formidable team.

Bean Counter September 1, 2009 9:25 AM

jimr3,

Well, sadly, Jim Cooper is my congressman. I've honestly considered moving slightly south to Brentwood so that I'd be in her district, but I do "claim" her as my representative.

I like Zach Wamp. Appears to be a solid guy. Do you think he's got the inside track for the GOP nod for governor? I haven't gotten engaged in the governor's race yet, but all the candidates flood my e-mail wanting contributions. If the primary was held today, knowing what I know, I'd probably vote for Zach.

jimr3 September 1, 2009 9:55 AM

Bean Counter,

I think Zach is O.K.; his voting record for the most part has been good. As a conservative voice, he’s just not as articulate as a Sarah Palin or a Ronald Reagan IMO -- but to be fair, very few are. Zach is much better than Jim Cooper, but he’s not nearly as good as Marsha. But for the most part Zach has been a solid congressman. As far as the governor’s race is concerned, I don’t have a good sense on what kind of an executive Zach will make.

Bean Counter September 1, 2009 10:15 AM

jimr3,

Yeah, that's the big question, re: the governor's race -- do any of them have the requisite executive chops?

I'd just like to have some real conservative senators instead of our two rinos Thelma and Louise. In the interest of full disclosure, I worked in Alexander's administration when he was governor, continued through McWherter's first term then hung it up and started my business. I'd had as much bureaucratic crap as I could stand. Only now is the swelling going down. Alexander was a good governor, and even McWherter was very fiscally conservative for a democrat, but Alexander has really disappointed me with some of his senate votes. Corker has likewise been a real disappointment for the most part.

Anyway, I wish our senators had more testicular fortitude.

katiejane September 1, 2009 10:16 AM

I wish the MSM was as concerned about the college work of Obama as they are about McDonnell's. Funny but the Left can dismiss Ayers positions & writings because they are long ago but somehow McDonnell's are terrible?

M. Minnesota September 1, 2009 11:59 AM

Moon816,

From my understanding, the Republican party said that they only had "So much money to go around" and they had to pick and choose which races they felt they could win. I understand that to a point.
Barabara Davis White is a engergizing speaker much like Sarah Palin. She received her Master of Divinity from Bethel Seminary (A center/right institution.) If you wish, go to You tube and search Barbara Davis White at St. Paul Tea Party, you will find one heck of a speech!!!

Barbara Davis White leans more libertarian, so that may have been an issue. I think something like that could be ironed out with the conservatives in the party. I wish Minnesota was like Alsaka in that we could vote for our Lt. Govenors. We stopped in 74' Barbara would make a fine one.

This morning in the Pioneer Press, (twincities.com) the RNC donated Seven Million dollars of it's excess from the convention of 08' to the homeless and the hungry. I think that's really great!!! I just wish Barbara Davis White had gotten some of that "Love" for her campain.

MODERATORS, I have a question...my post seemed to be deleted. Is there a guideline for posts and ideas? This has happened before. Hopefully you can help.

My post was on topic and was positive, no curse words, no mocking of anyone. I commented on how happy I was about the potential of political change especially since VA and NJ are being watched. I expressed hope Palin would campaign somewhere soon.

I often take direction from the blog articles here on C4P, following the topics, some that also talk about changing tides and Republican chances if they stuck to conservative ideals. If I'm misunderstanding what can or cannot be discussed, please share so that I can continue to participate.

I hope you're not confusing me with someone that needs to be blocked or something. I am a strong supporter of Sarah Palin and use my time and creativity (as you writers also do) to create videos to promote her and her ideas ("The Palin Nation," & "She has a Halo" for example).
http://www.youtube.com/VidSweet

I'd appreciate your feedback. Thanks.
