Dinner with Sarah Palin - Priceless

England conservative 4 sarah palin September 4, 2009 10:08 AM

It would be great if someone on this site got to have dinner with sarah:)

Lunch with karl rove lol.

manajordan September 4, 2009 10:12 AM

Hmmmm. Maybe if we all pool our resources. . . Do you think they would accomodate dinner with Sarah for say hundreds (maybe thousands) of people?

Shoot for the moon you might hit the stars.

JeanA September 4, 2009 10:14 AM

Do you have to pay for the dinner?

HeHeHe

John Galt September 4, 2009 10:19 AM

In Washington D.C. on the day that Obama gives his propaganda talk to our kids

John Galt September 4, 2009 10:20 AM

Now the question is.

Will Palin stay in DC through the 12th?

baboonking September 4, 2009 10:23 AM

the auction starts on the 8th and runs for 10 days so the actual dinner will come after that.

section9 September 4, 2009 10:24 AM

I think that the auction begins on 9/8. The date of the dinner with Sarah and Todd is TBD, from my initial reading.

Nancy September 4, 2009 10:24 AM

Maybe Bill O'Reilly should put in a bid, then he can get that interview he's been dying for.

JeanA September 4, 2009 10:25 AM

baboonking,

you don't miss a step, you are quick.

wisetrog September 4, 2009 10:26 AM

Can we dare believe she'll be in DC on the 12th?

Nancy September 4, 2009 10:27 AM

TOTUS bid: $100,000/Palin Help!

Whitney The Pipsqueak September 4, 2009 10:33 AM

That would be amazing!

I wouldn't be surprised if she actually cooked the meal for whoever is the highest bidder.

Oh, wait, Levi said she couldn't cook. /sarc

Whitney The Pipsqueak September 4, 2009 10:34 AM

What's the opening bid for dinner with the LOTUS?

Nancy September 4, 2009 10:42 AM

So much pressure for lunch at the Capitol with Frank Luntz, a focus group comes along to dial evaluate your lunch conversation.

Über September 4, 2009 10:42 AM

WHOA. What a fantastic list here! All of them look like great prizes.

OT: FREEP THIS POLL:

HA HA Nancy! Good one. :)

Sheya September 4, 2009 10:45 AM

Dinner with Sarah?
Before I blow all my money, is this a confirmed thing or is someone making things up again?

OK, if C4P is writing about it, i guess it's as good as coming from Sarah.

Well, I guess I'm going broke

ellen September 4, 2009 10:48 AM

can i borrow a few thousand dollars? :)

baboonking September 4, 2009 10:51 AM

guys $25,000 is the starting! bid

Jenny September 4, 2009 10:54 AM

I think we should do a donate-a-thon foR Road 2Recovery since obviously it is a great charity for our wounded vets and it's obviously important to Sarah.

TangledThorns September 4, 2009 10:56 AM

I wonder who will win the auction?

baboonking September 4, 2009 10:57 AM

jenny & c4p,

better idea: send me all the cash and i'll do the donation...umm $25,000 should cover it...okay maybe a little more ;)

Mia September 4, 2009 10:57 AM

Maybe C4P can have a lottery...It's dinner for 5...How cool would it be.. if five from C4P dined with the 'Cuda?

Rachael September 4, 2009 10:58 AM

No kidding though, the dinner is for 5, can we pool our resources & send RAM, JR, &3 of our other editors?

I'd just hate to see it go to someone who wouldn't appreciate it.

Nancy September 4, 2009 10:58 AM

Mitt Romney will surely be bidding on the lunch with Karl Rove.

Mia September 4, 2009 11:01 AM

Mitt and Rove...Borrrring...zzzzzzzzz

Nancy September 4, 2009 11:04 AM

Hey Mia,
Thanks for playing along yesterday, with the blurting things out that make no sense.:)

Mia September 4, 2009 11:05 AM

Nancy...Your welcome...I love that game...

Clothes Pins...

James in Missouri September 4, 2009 11:07 AM

I am waiting for confirmation from Meg Stapleton first before I believe this.

bernie12 September 4, 2009 11:08 AM

It's times like this i wish i were a millionaire!

Nancy September 4, 2009 11:26 AM

How did we elect Obama? He is just the middle man between TOTUS and the American people.

Nancy September 4, 2009 11:29 AM

At least Governor Palin won't reach across the table and cut up your meat for you, like a lefty would.

Doug Brady September 4, 2009 11:41 AM

James in Missouri,
Good point. This is still a rumor until confirmed by Meg but it is exactly the kind of charity that Governor Palin would support (in my opinion).

If this is in fact legitimate, the auction will fetch a lot more than 25K. It is for a very worthwhile charity and I have a feeling the winning bid will be in the neighborhood of six figures, maybe more. I remember Rush Limbaugh auctioned off that Harry Reid smear letter a couple years ago for a similar charity and the winning bid was $2.1 million (which Rush then matched).

http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_101907/content/01125110.guest.html

Think about it, what would you rather bid on, a letter written by Dingy Harry...or dinner with the Palins?

MsLiberty September 4, 2009 11:45 AM

I think it would be a great idea to pool resources. I've done that before with friends when bidding on silent auction items like lunches or whatever. It would be super to see a C4P contingent win -- people who would truly appreciate being in the governor's company for an evening.

If y'all decide to do it, set up a PayPal account and I'll contribute!

Sapwolf September 4, 2009 11:57 AM

I'll send in $100 if you are taking a collection to lottery off a slot for a lucky C4P poster.

rae4palin September 4, 2009 11:58 AM

I can't tell from that list. How much for dinner with Mitt?

Lakerfanalways September 4, 2009 12:10 PM

I'd LOVE to have dinner with Sarah, but good God 25,000 is the starting bid. I need Obama to start spreading his wealth my way so that I can go to that dinner. Ok, we should start a pool or something. So that we can send 5 people to meet her, I wouldn't mind meeting Sean Hannity but Sarah Palin..WOW freakin AWESOME

Whitney The Pipsqueak September 4, 2009 12:11 PM

Silly C4Pers, Mitt would have to pay someone to have dinner with him. He could barely get people to eat free pizza with him. :)

Bill in Baltimore September 4, 2009 12:15 PM

There are 5 in my family . . . hmmm

donations will be accepted, thanks !

TOTUS will ask Obama to bid a million!

baboonking September 4, 2009 12:51 PM

i think track is back home or will be, the invite link to ebay states that track will be gone for 12 months from september 2008, well its been 12 months.

Sheya September 4, 2009 1:14 PM

These people better have some terms & conditions. You can bet that some liberal loons or some jerk from the MSM is going to bid on it to set Sarah her up or something.
Doing a collection to get 5 of the C4P funders is a great idea, someone start it up and I’m in. I truly believe that this is one of those moments where we have to make sure Sarah isn’t used.
Les roll people.

A September 4, 2009 1:28 PM

Webcast the dinner!

If a troll pays $500,000 for dinner with Sarah, who is the being taken. Let the trolls bid it up.

Jane Austen September 4, 2009 1:37 PM

I agree. We need to set up a PayPal account, raise the money, get one of our C-Peeps to get the dinner, and have them report back to us :)
Who's with me?

Nancy,

How silly of you! A lefty isn't going to reach across the table and cut your meat up.
Don't you know they won't let you eat meat?

Nancy September 4, 2009 2:03 PM

lonestar,
LOL! So true! Slapping my head repeatedly, saying: "stupid, stupid, what an idiot!"

Nothing like ordering a big 'ole steak, and have the lefty look over their glasses sitting halfway down their nose at you, and "tsk, tsk, tsk".

William Henley September 4, 2009 2:48 PM

How about having a drawing. Every time a C4Per donates $100.00 they get their name put into a bowl and if y'all win,,, draw 5 names out of the bowl and they get to dine with Sarah and Todd. Then they do a report post to here so all of us can enjoy the meal together.

Sextus Atlanticus September 4, 2009 3:55 PM

Brianus Berklianus has reminded me of the words of that great St. Anselm, Doctor of the Church, who, by the grace of God, as he was wont to do, gave proof of God's existence, the beneficence of The Trinity, and the doctrine of creation.

PEC September 4, 2009 4:08 PM

I got a feeling the Washington Speakers Bureau is going to be handling a lot of this so I got a feeling waiting for Meg may not always be the case.
The good thing is when organizations try to use Sarah's name this is no longer Palin's team crushing the people it is an Organization with ties to many different political groups.

indemind September 4, 2009 5:28 PM

Hey Uber, that freep poll, you mentioned at 10.42
Sarah at 74%, no one else has more then 5%

http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2009/09/petraeus_scarborough_palin_who.html

sarah rocks 2012

G8rMom7 September 4, 2009 7:30 PM

My husband has been selling some stuff on eBay lately with the intent of using his money to buy gold. You think he would instead by me this? I would chew off my left arm to have dinner with this woman!

G8rMom7 September 4, 2009 7:31 PM

Just looked...$25,000??? Yeah, I don't think I'll be able to talk my husband into that one.

tim c September 4, 2009 7:39 PM

Not that I have any money but if I did I would bid and do diner in Alaska at some lodge looking out over Denali Park !

Yogi41 September 4, 2009 8:47 PM

You'd need more than $25k; it will easily go over 6 figures.

Tom September 4, 2009 9:00 PM

Someone needs to send this to Rush. What would someone pay to eat dinner with Rush or to appear on his show - probably alot. Also if anyone just saw the CNBC Kudlow Report we need to put up the video. I can't believe it the panel for the most part was high on Sarah and thinks she is the leader of the conservative movement.

Cinead September 4, 2009 11:08 PM

I heard Obama's in the bidding! Good luck wit dat...BRO!

Smarty September 5, 2009 12:03 AM

Gary Sinise is a sweetie. I would totally like to go to a set party with him. Too bad I'm broke.

I just spoke to a film producer today who attends Gary's conservative underground meetings in Hollywood. She says the group is quite large, like in the thousands, and they meet regularly.

And she says that Gary Sinise is the kindest most generous man she's ever met.

It would be nice if he publicly came out in support of Sarah Palin. With their support for the troops in common, it seems like they're on the same page!
