Governor Palin: Remembering 9/11
Via Governor Palin's Facebook page:
It has been eight years since the United States suffered the worst attack on our soil since Pearl Harbor. As we look back, we should take stock of what has transpired since then. We have sent our nation's soldiers into battlefields far from home to defend us. These brave men and women live in treacherous conditions, facing improvised roadside bombs, suicide bombers and other attacks. Yet they fight on in their mission to defend the United States and all of us without complaint.
Our all-volunteer service is made up of Americans of all races, creeds, and economic backgrounds. These soldiers are on the front lines of this battle, and there are others in the fight as well. We must continue to give our utmost support to the United States military and those that support their efforts. In light of this, I have added my name to a letter sent to President Obama urging him to remain committed to prosecuting the War on Terror in Afghanistan. Never have so few defended the liberty of so many. We must continue to support their mission because they will continue to fight for us.
President Reagan ended his first inaugural with this story:
Under one such marker lies a young man-Martin Treptow-who left his job in a small town barber shop in 1917 to go to France with the famed Rainbow Division. There, on the western front, he was killed trying to carry a message between battalions under heavy artillery fire. We are told that on his body was found a diary. On the flyleaf under the heading, "My Pledge," he had written these words: "America must win this war. Therefore, I will work, I will save, I will sacrifice, I will endure, I will fight cheerfully and do my utmost, as if the issue of the whole struggle depended on me alone." The crisis we are facing today does not require of us the kind of sacrifice that Martin Treptow and so many thousands of others were called upon to make. It does require, however, our best effort, and our willingness to believe in ourselves and to believe in our capacity to perform great deeds; to believe that together, with God's help, we can and will resolve the problems which now confront us. And, after all, why shouldn't we believe that? We are Americans. God bless you, and thank you.
As we look back to that tragic day eight years ago we take pride in the fact that we came together as a nation in the days, months and years that followed. We rose to the challenge that fateful day and we still can. And why shouldn't we believe that? We are Americans.
I thank all our servicemen and women, in and out of uniform, for keeping us safe over the last eight years in the face of enormous odds.
Please thank a veteran today. They certainly do not look for those thanks, but they have more than earned it.

This is it, this is what defines Sarah Palin
..therefore, I will work, I will save, I will sacrifice, I will endure, I will fight cheerfully and do my utmost, as if the issue of the whole struggle depended on me alone."
Sarah Palin acts more presidential than the president himself
Thank-you Sarah Palin for that poignant message.
God bless our soldiers and their families.
"Please thank a veteran today. They certainly do not look for those thanks, but they have more than earned it."
Indeed
Thank you Sarah, and just like our great brave serviceman, you too are a great American.
Amen, sister.
Palin is the one who embodies what it means to be a president.
It's so nice to have someone be so unapologetically pro-America.
Granted, Sarah Palin certainly is, and acts, Presidential -- but saying she acts "more presidential than the [current] 'president' himself" says nothing. My pet dog acts "more presidential than the current president". At least, to the extent I am aware, Max has no active hate for this nation.
Thank you, Sarah, for continuing to defend our troops and our country.
Thank you for commemorating a significant day in American history.
Thank you for releasing a statement free from political inuendo and self-positioning.
Thank you for your tireless effort to give American's a voice in the struggles our country faces.
Thanks Sarah , from a Vietnam Vet.. All we asked for during the Vietnam War was support from our elected officials and I'm sure that's all the current members of the military are asking for.
God bless our military, and God bless Sarah Palin. You have put hope...real hope in this African boy. Gov. Palin thanks for standing up for FREEDOM I never had in Africa. You are a GREAT American. I am proud to be American.
Well said and to the point. Thanks Sarah. Palin 2012 for the USA
A true story from 9/11/01.
How Budweiser handled those who laughed at those who died on the 11th of September, 2001
On September 11th, a Budweiser employee was making a delivery to a convenience store in a California town named McFarland. He knew of the tragedy that had occurred in New York when he entered the business to find the two Arabs, who owned the business, whooping and hollering to show their approval and support of this treacherous attack. The Budweiser employee went to his truck, called his boss and told him of the very upsetting event! He didn't feel he could be in that store with those horrible people. His boss asked him, “Do you think you could go in there long enough to pull every Budweiser product and item our beverage company sells there? We'll never deliver to them again.” The employee walked in, proceeded to pull every single product his beverage company provided and left with an incredible grin on his face. He told them never to bother to call for a delivery again. Budweiser happens to be the beer of choice for that community.
And Now The Rest Of The Story: It seems that the Bud driver and the Pepsi man are neighbors. Bud called Pepsi and told him. Pepsi called his boss who told him to pull all Pepsi products as well!!! That would include Frito Lay, etc. Furthermore, word spread and all vendors followed suit! At last report, on June 26, 2009, Fareed Katib closed the store and filed bankruptcy! Good old American Passive-Aggressive A$$ Whoopin!
Governor Palin,
I knew that you post a message such as this today. You never disappoint.
Love you dearly, and thank God for your beautiful, courageous heart and life.
God bless you and yours today and hereafter.
To the men and women of our armed forces past and present:
Thank you. God bless you and yours.
God bless America.
Thank you Gov Palin for this message. It is public servants like you that our nation sorely needs leading us right now. All of us will never forget this day and the brave men and women fighting to insure that it never happens again. God Bless you and the USA.
god bless sara and her family you are a real person not a fake like bo anyone who cannot bowl over 37 and cannot catch a fish on aguided trip has no buisness leading our troops go sara we need you in the white house our troops would love to take orders from someone who could acually do some real on the ground work
Sarah unabashedly bleeds red, white, and blue. That's why we barbarians love her so.
I expect this kind of classy comment from my president, and she always delivers.
Thank you Sarah.
Thank you Track.

Attention rae4palin:

The Budweiser story ain't true.
Gotta watch those urban legends, there.
A heartfelt and poignant statement on the anniversary of that tragic day. If Obama wrote this, it would come across as insincere and probably would be. Governor Palin comes across as the thoughtful and humble public servant she is.
Right on sarah!
News Busters has posted Sarah's poignant 9-11 statement

Thank you Gov Palin for expressing what millions of Americans feel today.
Just like the military men and women, you serve us selflessly, fearlessly and courageously.
Thank you and God Bless the military men and women and their families.
God bless our military.
God bless America.
God bless Governor Sarah Palin.
To all who serve in this great country called America I as an American say: THANK YOU.
I have always liked those final lines of President Reagan's first inaugural address:
It does require, however, our best effort, and our willingness to believe in ourselves and to believe in our capacity to perform great deeds; to believe that together, with God's help, we can and will resolve the problems which now confront us. And, after all, why shouldn't we believe that? We are Americans. [emphasis added]

Sarah Palin is a patriot in every sense of the word.
To any veterans and family members of soldiers reading these comments, thank you.
I live a few blocks from Rainbow Boulevard in KC, KS. It is named for the Rainbow Division, and on a hill overlooking it is a reduced-size replica of L'Arc de Triomphe. I'll have to drive over there this evening and say a prayer for all our warriors.
And if you haven't read the latest from Doctor Zero, do it now.
SARAH MUST RESPONED TO THIS
Pro-Life Advocate Murdered Outside Michigan School While Protesting Abortion
Local officials and state police are confirming that a pro-life advocate was shot and killed outside a high school in this Michigan town. The person, who is described as well-known but whose identity has not been released, was shot multiple times while protesting abortion outside Owosso High School.
Sarah must make a statement.
http://www.lifenews.com/state4409.html
Did you notice that Sarah subtly referred to the CIA?
"and there are others in the fight as well. We must continue to give our utmost support to the United States military and those that support their efforts"
I think she was referring to the CIA, and indirectly voicing her opposition to Obama's War on the CIA.
What do you think?
I am getting all my Reagan quotes from Sarah, very inspiring. Where does she get them from? She must live and breathe Reagan.
Thanks you Sarah.
The first thing I did this morning was to fly my two American flags. As our dog, Maggie, and I took our 2-mile morning constitutional, I was ashamed to see so few displays of Old Glory on our route.
After spending some time in the Word, I turned on the computer to see what was happening on C4P. For the second time today, I got "Jesus bumps"!
God Bless America, God Bless Sarah Palin and God Bless the Warriors Who Have Kept Us Free!
OldDude
We put up a 10 foot flag pole in our yard this summer. We leave it up day and night (following proper procedure)
Since then a couple of our neighbors have hung their flags from their houses too.
Sometimes I think Americans need to be reminded of how blessed we really are.
I'm not sure how many of you have the Sarah Palin calender but on the month of July, there is a picture of Sarah rapped in the American Flag. Can you even remotely imagine our Fearful Leader BO doing anything like this? How about any other politician?
Sarah, "you are my leader. I will follow wherever you lead."
Question?... and the answer is!... Honor, Trust, Patriotism and a Servants Heart are...MIA! ... sacrificially discarded... nary a thought given!
Why do we always experience delayed communication in and out of the White House?
Why can they not, as Governor Palin consistently does, issue timely and poignant and heart-felt statements/rebuttals?
Shame on the White House!
Love it, short and bitter sweet. God speed to our Military. Thank you all. My sympathies for the families that lost members on 9/11 and the brave men and women who reacted to it,my hats off. God Bless you all.
Here is what Gov. Palin said after visiting Ground Zero on the campaign trail last year:
" I wish every American would come through here, I wish every world leader would come through here and understand what it is that took place here and more importantly how America came together united to commit to never allowing this to happen again."

Wildman Bill,
I have that calendar too. It mentions that the picture was taken just days after the attacks. We know where her heart was then.........and now.
Thank you and God bless our Troops
Thank you and God bless the USA
Thank you and God bless President-Elect Palin
Hot Air now has Sarah's statement up
http://hotair.com/headlines/?p=51957
No GOP or conservative supporter, not even the most vehement anti-Palin proponent can be intellectually honest and not admit that Sarah Palin loves America and would dedicate every ounce of her energy and resolve to defending America and Americans from threats, foreign and domestic.
Any moderate Republican or person of the right who does not admit this is a product of hyper-partisan elitism that does not allow even a modicum of common sense to pass through the cerebral cortex and instead promotes a warped vision of America that does not include references to past American glories or old-fashioned patriotism.
Shame on you those Republicans and conservatives who think Obama would protect America better than Sarah Palin.
Rush is talking about how Obama's remarks at The Pentagon were about using this day as a day of service to the state. Bloomberg said the same thing in NYC. Compare that w/ Gov Palin's statement.
Who would be the better leader of the free world?
Wildman Bill-
As you know, below the July calendar of Sarah is the caption:
"This flag photo was taken just after the terrorist attacks on 9/11 in 2001. Sarah, like the rest of the nation, was trying to cope with the attacks on American soil and demonstrating her patriotism."
God Bless America...God Bless our Troops.
And God Bless (And keep you safe) President Sarah.
Palin.
"WE SHOULD NEVER APOLOGIZE FOR BEING AMERICANS."
-Sarah Palin
Interesting article on Breitbart. Apparently CNN and Fox reported the Coast Guard firing shots during a training exercise on the Potomac River. The article focuses mainly on the wrong reports made by CNN. Gibbs sharply critized CNN for airing inaccurate reports. His words, "Before we report things like this, checking would be good." Yes, if the media would actually check the facts before they report ANYTHING--that would be good.
The link to the article is http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D9AL7LI02&show_article=1 but it is also listed in the News links column on this page.
Yep, those layers of editors always get you, right, Friedman & Brokaw, this matches the "Scare Force One" incident during the spring.
I knew she would always rise to the occasion, They still haven't
'stop making things up' though
When President Bush spoke about 9/11 and the military you could see he was speaking from the heart and barley referred to his note cards.
Obama, yes he said all the right things as predicted but had his eyes glued to the script and his facial expressions looked like he was thinking “Just because Bush did it doesn’t mean I too have to do this nonsense too, it’s all Bush’s fault”
9-11-01 The Day the American Eagle Cried and Innocents Died
9-11-09 America continues to fight the battle for freedom from terror from enemies abroad and those within our borders and in the "shining city on the hill" whose glow has been tarnished but not extinguished.
We the citizen soldiers of the Patriotic Resistance shall stand together armed with our voices, our keyboards, and our love of country until the glow of that "shining city on the hill" will burst forth ever brighter lit by the clean, strong, and inspiring NORTH STAR which is God's gift to the faithful.
God Bless and protect those who serve to keep our freedom
God Bless and protect those who are called to serve in the quest for truth
God Bless and protect those who embrace love of God, country and family
God Bless and protect Sarah Palin and family. Speed her voice of reason to those in need and allow truth to triumph over power.
God Bless and Protect the United States of America
As stated before, Hot Air has Sarah's statement up.
The best comment....
"Sarah. President. 2012.
Lets Roll"
Sarah can write this because she is in a War right now. I love and respect so many on this page and I know how much you love and support the military but what I am fixing to say is a common theme among many in the military right now. We are a Military at War but we are not a Nation at War. As I see the daily lives of many civilians now, they shop, they worry about the price of gas, they go about business as usual but they really don't worry about the War in Iraq. I go to work and I have had Officer students with a hook for a arm, a couple with glass eyes, scares from the shrapnel they got in their leg. I see spouses and yes mothers (Sarah) that worry daily about their deployed loved one. I have met a guy one moment in theater and then go to a memorial for him 2 days later. Despite being in the Reserves I have been on Active duty for 5 years since 2003 and my civilian job now is with the military. I have gone to the funerals and looked the spouse and the 3 year old child in the eye that will never see their love one/father again. I see and have sacrificed but when I go to the Mall there is no sacrifice. It is business as usual. I would like to asks that everybody follow Sarah's lead today and call a veteran and thank them for their service, if you know somebody that has a loved one deployed call them and think them for their service (yes my deployment was harder on my wife than me). There are people in the US today that are really sacrificing during this war. Please thank them for their sacrifice.
ANd yes I proudly defend this country because of people like the Great ones that I communicate with on C4P.
PEC,
I hear you 5 x 5! (Do they still use that?) If not, you're coming through loud and clear. The American people haven't sacrificed in toto since WW II.
We got body counts and constant coverage when President Bush was CINC but there's next to nothing about timelines, exit strategies, Obama Doctrine, etc., let alone "victory" in our "overseas contingency operation"!
I am glad that He has put you in a place help and console our Warriors and their families!
God Bless you, the Warriors, and their families
Well put PEC and thank you for defending this great country.
"Never have so few defended the liberty of so many. We must continue to support their mission because they will continue to fight for us."
Thank you Sarah Palin.
I just got an e-mail today from my cousin who is in Iraq. A few weeks ago, they successfully moved all of their hospital equipment and patients to a new facilities. Their move occurred during one of big attack on Baghdad a few weeks ago. They ended up having to take on dozens of injured Iraqis as well in the midst of trying to move and keep safe several injured personnel who were still sought by terrorists, as she put it.
My cousin's exact words, " But of course in good ol’ United States of America fashion...we said bring it on". :)
On another note, they call the new facility Victory Base Complex. Our commander-in-chief may not want to use the word victory, but our soldiers most certainly do!
Thanks you, Nicci, and all of our soldiers.
May God bless our troops and our nation.
God bless America.
America, bless God.
"National Public Service Day"? On the calender on MY wall today ALREADY has a name printed on it...... "PATRIOT DAY"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am destitute, but I found the spare change to donate to both Sarah PAC and Senator Wilson $9.11 each today. Why don't we ALL do the same? Never Forget!
Goddess Bless
Whitney - The medics in Iraq/Afghanistan are unbelievable. The triage and emergencies they handle make them the best Emergency room medical people in the World. Walter Reed is the Best Physical Rehab and advancement in artifical limbs facility in the World. SO many of these medics have saved so many lives in stressful situations their service cannot be praised enough.
Where I am (Fort Gordon) Eisenhower has a Warrior Transition unit. That is where injured soldiers go to rehab. SOme leave the military and some stay in and continue to serve this country. It is surprising how many soldiers with life-changing injuries do everything they can to stay in the military.
Read Pam Geller "9-11: The Desecration" at American Thinker
Obama is using 9-11 to push his Interfaith Day of Service and reaching out to Muslim countries through the State Department.
( This New Service Day cannot be September 11th since Muslims are celebrating Ramadan. He is calling for creating this between September 11 and October 18, 2009.)
Remember, he ditched the National Prayer Day but participated in a Muslim Ramadan prayer service.
Ask:
What DC church does Obama and family attend?
Has America elected the first Muslim president? Remember when he slipped up in the George Steph. interview and referred to his muslim faith?
Judge this president by what he does and who he surrounds himself with - not by what he says. His lies are becoming legendary.
I was reading personal accounts in ACE of Spades.. kind of interested.. unemotional.. thinking.. I dont really remember it, I think I saw it on TV. Thinking about it.. and then I remembered.
I was watching live the description of the attack on the first tower when the second one was hit. I remember it vaguely but enough to fill me with emotion.
And then I remembered how I felt when I found out that the third plane that was bound to the white house or Capitol was downed.. How the tape of the cell phone conversation of the guys planning to fight the terrorits said "Lets roll" How they fought back.
I remember feeling so proud at that moment, shaking my horror and sadness, and saying We are going to kick their ass!
Now I as I am writing this I am fighting tears at work.
Bush for all his faults did good. First I felt let down for the lack of immediate response (I thingk We attacked 6 months later) but he did good, and kept the country safe. That's the problem! we have become complacent and forgetful. Obama still lives and so does Al-Zwahiri. How come we cant kill those bastards?
I hope I dont need another 10 minutes of reading accounts of that tragedy to remember how I felt that day next year.
Osama= Obama, sorry, similar names.
Thank you Sarah.
You are my national leader.
Thank You... To all the Military for your Bravery...
We live in Freedom...Because of the Service of MEN AND WOMEN fighting for us... through the Generations...
You will always be Heros...in my eyes..
Thank You... for Continuing to Keep America Safe...
May God Bless You and Your Families...
Sandra,
on 9/11, this somber day of reflection, I prefer to reflect on the sacrifices of our fallen American colleagues and our military men and women, rather than flag etiquette of the quitter-in-chief.
Why don't I see your compassion toward the events of 9/11 ?
(you dumb-ass, now go suck that egg again)
Troll Alert
Sandra the DUMB Trig-Truther is back.
Go away and stay away.
Bill: I have posted very somber thoughts on 9/11. Unfortunately these comments have been deleted.
This is a day dedicated to deep thought about our nation and our comradery as people. We should be pulling together.
Our flag is our symbol of patronage and fidelity. I do not want it descecrated.
Thank you, Governor Palin. And thank you to all the men and women in the armed forces.
That statement was very Presidential. Can't wait for 2012.
Sandra,
your somber thoughts are like a dog vomiting after eating a dead bird.
you seem to pick on Sarah Palin, and SURPRISE - that gets on our nerves, big time.
what the f*** are you on this site for anyway ?
Oh, I remember.
you're a paid dumb-asstroturfer.
Well, be prepared to be attacked via words.
Now it's time for the cow-chips, granny.
granny... aka sandra...her comments have been getting Deleted??
hehehehe...
'CUDA 2012...YEAH BABY!!
We need to be honoring Sarah, Track and the entire Palin family today and everyday. Oh shouldn't Track be due back any day now?
Just watched a show on the History Channel that came from multiple people with cameras. Our Nation is a long way from there. Everybody on the street were wanting to go kick the a@# of the people that did this. Now we have a President that sat in the pews the Sunday after this and blamed the US for 9/11 and said G#$ Da@# America. This person now goes around the world and apologizes for America for Defending its way. If another terroists attack happens in the US it will be because Obama has softened the US. He should immediately be impeached and then have a trial for treason.
I doubt anybody wants to attack the USA...
Why Would They???
Obama is destroying America for them...
Sandra - Go sit in the great uniter JEremiah Wrights church (Obama's spiritual mentor). There you will learn about division in America.
I am a soldier that has fought for my country. What Sarah did doesn't shame me. I have skin in this fight. Unless you have personnally fought in this war then STFU. Oh and don't give me sh#$ about your children have served. If so start naming units, time they served and the name of their Commanders. If you can't you are just a JEremiah Wright type.
Hey Pec...Thank You for SERVING...
I Honor You...
mia - Don't honor me. I do it because of the great Americans out there (many that post on this page). Honor the service of Track Palin. An Infantryman in Combat. That is the highest honor I know. The risks an Infantryman takes in combat I think is hard for many to fathom. The Palin's raised a very special child.
Pec...I Honor all the Men and Women that Serve this Great Country...I was just giving you a Shout Out...
We don't hear those uplifting words from our own president! Sarah Palin does us proud!
mia - I honor all great Americans like you, the many great people on this site, and all that are proud of this country and do there best to leave it better than they found it (running up a deficit of 9 trillion over 10 years does not fit that criteria and doing a Hugo Chavez and smearing a Private Citizen from the bully pulpit of a joint session of Congress).
That said thank you for your kind words and I know you and so many others support the military.
Why is it important to have family people in the military? My father was drafted into the US Army in 1944. He served honorably.
Because of age, my family has avoided all of the drafts.
When registration was required in the 70's, I was very disappointed that women did not protest this.
If I had been of age, I would have demanded draft registration.
We can honor the military without serving.
Thank you.
Sandra - You have said that your children served. I ask you some easy questions of their service. Back it up or you are a liar.
Oh and I have many a time said being in the military does not mean I need honored (note my post above).
THat said when you make deragatory comments about a mother of an infantryman I am going to let you have it. I will not ease up on you. You don't know what this women is going through (see 1st para. to prove me wrong) and even if your children have served it wasn't as an Infantryman (the job of the rest of the military is to support the Infantry). Or as the saying goes, when the smoke clears it is the grunt (Track Palin) holding the battlefield.
Sandra - So you are saying that you honor Track Palin? Know better yet write it. Oh and if you honor him then must also write that you honor the person that this Iraq tour is harder on than him his mother. For 9/11 and show this is not political write I honor Track and Sarah Palin. Drop your politics and say it.
PS You wrote today is about coming together. Write it and then we will believe it.
rblrdr - I really did not want to respond to your soon to be deleted post because it has already been debunked as a lie but I want to have some fun with you.
Many many years ago when I was lower enlisted I had a Command Sergeant Major that had proudly served our country for 30 years. But it didn't start that way. It started much like the story you gave of why Track joined (your Track story is false but it was true for this CSM). The military has always had a way of straightening kids lives out (combat grows the kids up real fast). If your false story is true then you should be glad that Track chose a path that makes him a Patriot and for so many has turned their lives around.
With that on this 9/11 you should join everybody on this site and honor Track Palin for doing a job in which he is willing to die for this great country. So join Sandra and show our country unity and write that you honor Track and Sarah Palin (the mother of an Infantryman in combat).

rblrdr: Killing innocent people? Do you have any idea how many lives we have saved? If we weren't there it would be a Sunni/Shiate genocide.
Learn from history. How many millions of lives were lost because of Chamberlain's policy of apeacement? and how many millions were saved by dropping the bomb on Japan?
Your murderous ideology is a danger to society.
PEC: I have never said my children served in the military. They have served their country, but in other ways.
I agree that the time of military service is very difficult for the mothers. I cannot imagine how Sarah and other mothers endure each day while their sons and daughters are in harm's way.
