Levi the Liar

It brings me no pleasure to address a habitual liar, potential nude pin-up model, and puppet to Obama minions Rex Butler and Tank Jones, but Levi Johnston's (or is it Ricky Hollywood?) foray in to the world of essay writing deserves to be taken in proper context. Pretending for a moment that Levi actually wrote that essay, any reasonable and objective person will dismiss its contents after a simple review of his credibility. By his puppetmaster's own admission, Levi's out to cash in on the Palin name:

This is the cards that was dealt to him. So now what do he do? Go work at McDonalds? So people can ask him, as he makes $8 an hour, "Hey, how's Sarah Palin? How's Bristol?

According to Tank, if Levi's going to lie anyway, he might as well get the big money. Unfortunately, the truth doesn't pay, so under the tutelage of his attorney, Rex Butler, and personal bodyguard, Tank Jones, Levi has come to understand what sells. For example, here's some of the things Levi was saying about the Palins earlier this year:

"They're good people," he said. "They don't push me, you know. They kind of — they don't really tell us what to do, they don't tell us, you know, they're good people. So I like 'em."

And:

They always treated me like a son. I mean they were -- they were real nice to me. And I thought of her as like my second mother. You know, Todd was always, you know, a great guy and helped me out with a lot of things. So I mean they welcomed me.

Quite a difference from what he's saying now. After Rex and Tank convinced Levi that the truth doesn't sell, they've resorted to complete fabrications intending to create scandals that they can profit from. The more outrageous the stories they come up with are, the more publicity opportunities they all get. In the latest example, they've concocted a story that is so laughable, it's difficult to imagine anyone reading it can keep a straight face:

Sarah told me she had a great idea: we would keep it a secret—nobody would know that Bristol was pregnant. She told me that once Bristol had the baby she and Todd would adopt him. That way, she said, Bristol and I didn’t have to worry about anything. Sarah kept mentioning this plan. She was nagging—she wouldn’t give up. She would say, “So, are you gonna let me adopt him?” We both kept telling her we were definitely not going to let her adopt the baby. I think Sarah wanted to make Bristol look good, and she didn’t want people to know that her 17-year-old daughter was going to have a kid.

This one is just too easy to debunk, especially after Levi admitted that Governor Palin never "pushed" him. Levi is claiming that Governor Palin kept "nagging" him with this plan right after she had Trig. We're supposed to believe that she thought she could pass Tripp off as her own when she just gave birth. I don't think so. It would also look a bit odd if she went around telling people she just adopted a baby after recently having Trig. And, besides the fact that the pregnancy was an open secret in Wasilla (something that Levi expects us to ignore, I guess), Governor Palin would have to keep everyone who knew about Bristol's pregnancy quiet; which included Levi's family and friends, her family and friends, Bristol and Levi's friends and all the people any of them happened to tell. I told you it was hard to keep a straight face. This is merely another lie in long series of lies.

Let's take a look at some of Levi's claims...

In an interview with Larry King in April, Levi claimed that he cast a vote during the Presidential election:

KING: We're back with Levi Johnston.

In the next segment, we will meet his sister and mother.

Did you vote?

L. JOHNSTON: I did.

KING: So you're registered to vote.

Did you vote for...

L. JOHNSTON: Sarah Palin.

KING: OK. Just -- just wanted to check.

Actually, he didn't. The Associated Press reported:

Johnston didn't register in time to vote, according to the Mat-Su Division of Elections Office in Wasilla. But he's rooting for John McCain and Sarah Palin.

In July, Levi claimed that Governor Palin resigned because of money:

The former fiance of Gov. Sarah Palin's 18-year-old daughter says he thinks he knows why the Alaska governor is resigning - concerns over money.

[...]

"I think the big deal was the book. That was millions of dollars," said Johnston, who has had a strained relationship with the family but now says things have improved.

Putting aside for a moment that it was announced all the way back in May (well before she resigned) that the governor had signed a book deal (with a contract structured to follow Alaska's ethics laws - in other words, it wasn't an issue) presumably worth millions of dollars, Levi later changed his story in order to sell it to Radar Online:

Sarah Palin's marriage has been in trouble from the beginning, says Levi Johnston, the father of their grandson Tripp and ex-fiance of daughter Bristol.

What's more Levi told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive video interview that he believes marital problems were behind Palin's decision to resign as governor of Alaska.

When we asked if the couple had marital problems, Levi responded: "Oh yeah. There have been from day one."

RadarOnline.com then asked if Levi thought marital problems were the reason she stepped down from political office. Levi answered, "Oh yeah I do."

Levi later backed off that statement in an interview with Bravo:

Interviewer 1: “Yeah, I want to know is it really true that Sarah and her husband is getting a divorce? And, if so, how much of that information that you know about?”

Johnston: “I – uh – I heard about some of that and I actually don’t have a whole lot of information on it, so I couldn’t tell you for sure, man.”

Interviewer 2: “Well, I had read that you had said that they were fighting like cats and dogs in that house, no?”

Johnston: “Oh yeah, they were, I mean, you know, like every other family.”

According to the Anchorage Press, Levi claimed to live with the Palins before Governor Palin was selected as McCain's running mate:

But things were pretty normal between them—Levi stands by his story that he was staying at the Palins’ house regularly—until Senator John McCain tapped Sarah as his running mate on August 29. When Sarah became a vice presidential candidate, things started going downhill for Levi.

Now he claims that he lived with them after the election:

For “Me and Mrs. Palin,” Johnston tells Vanity Fair his story about life with the Palin family—with whom he lived for two months after the election—over the course of his two-and-a-half-year relationship with Bristol.

Ricky Hollywood can't keep his story straight, because he never lived with the Palins. Around the time he told Vanity Fair that he was living with them, he was working on the North Slope full time. Obviously he couldn't be living with the Palin's while he was on the North Slope. But saying that he lived with them, gets him a higher price in liberal rags like Vanity Fair. As Governor Palin said:

"I know the truth about my family. I know details about whether Levi Johnston was allowed to live with my teenage daughter or not. By the way, it would be over my dead body that a kid would live with my teenage daughter," Palin said.

Also included in the essay that was written for him, Levi added this:

Sarah doesn’t cook, Todd doesn’t cook—the kids would do it all themselves: cook, clean, do the laundry, and get ready for school. Most of the time Bristol would help her youngest sister with her homework, and I’d barbecue chicken or steak on the grill.

Yes, if it wasn't for Levi, the Palin children would have never been fed. Never mind that a journalist for Esquire not only witnessed Governor Palin cooking, but teaching Levi how to cook as well:

Bristol comes into the kitchen with Levi Johnston, her fiancé. He's a good-looking kid, very Abercrombie & Fitch. He says hi all around but doesn't say much more. When he's over here, it's usually just him and Todd and Trig in a house full of women, and the women dominate the conversation. He nods at Todd and Todd nods back.

"Levi got his wedding ring stuck on his thumb," Molly says.

"Levi!" Sarah says. "That's par for the course. That means you're stuck. That's symbolic or something." She pulls a roast out of the refrigerator and calls Levi over and starts showing him how to marinate it. "Now, Levi, look, I'm gonna put this stuff in here..."

This is a woman who saved Alaska money by eliminating the previous governor's personal chef, so perhaps Team Levi should have reconsidered this lie. They might have also remembered that this same woman was seen on national television cooking for Greta van Susteren and Matt Lauer.

I could go on, but I think a clear pattern of behavior has been established. Levi Johnston has no credibility because he'll say anything for money and attention.

Since Levi or Ricky or whatever he calls himself is a public figure, I have a few questions for him:

What is your son's favorite toy?

Does he sleep through the night? If so, how old was he when he first slept through the night?

Does he like to go the park? Do you take him to the park? How often? What does he like to do at the park?

Has he come close to saying a word? What about sitting up? If he does sit up on his own, when did he do that for the first time?

Where do you work?

What brand of diapers does Tripp use? How much does a pack of diapers cost? How many diapers does he go through in a day? How about in a week? A month?

What kind of formula does he use? How much does he consume in a day? How much does a day's supply cost? How about a week's supply? A month?

How much do you pay in child support?

Earlier this year, he told Larry King that he "ain't doin' a lot of no child support right now". He's not providing for his son, but he's providing for himself somehow. After all, new trucks don't pay for themselves:

While being interviewed on Bravo this month, Levi chose to deflect the child support question. Apparently it wasn't as important as the some of the other questions he answered in the interview:

On if he’d ever pose nude: “It depends on the money, man. It’s gotta be right for that.”

On being a gay pin-up boy: “I think it’s great, man. Um, I like my fans. Just another person.”

You never know when a new career path will reveal itself. This interview could prove to be a pivotal moment in Ricky Hollywood's career. From HillBuzz:

Redeye, a publication of the Chicago Tribune, has an article in it today about Levi Johnston, the father of Bristol Palin’s son, being offered $25,000 to pose nude for a website called StraightCollegeMen.com. The site’s owners, Bait & Tackle Enterprises, created an open letter website to Levi called LeviNaked.com inviting him to Las Vegas to continue making an ass of himself…just with less clothes on than when he does it on Larry King or on Kathy Griffin’s arm.

Here's a "best of" Ricky Hollywood video we put together:

UPDATE: Politico has more contradictions from Levi here.

UPDATE II: (h/t jim) In an interview with GQ magazine earlier this year, Levi had this to say:

Did you get the sense that her parents were pressuring her?

I know that her parents didn’t want us together. I really don’t think they did. So they probably put a little pressure on her. But at the same time, they told us they wanted us to get married when they found out Bristol was pregnant. Whether they put pressure on her for the breakup—I don’t know what the deal was.

Question for Levi: If Governor Palin wanted to hide Bristol's pregnancy, then why was she pressuring you and Bristol to get married after she learned of the pregnancy?

UPDATE III: Levi: Who you gonna believe, me or your lying eyes?

The Reliable Sources blog at the Washington Post quoting Levi:

"She says she goes hunting and lives off animal meat -- I've never seen it. I've never seen her touch a fishing pole. She had a gun in her bedroom and one day she asked me to show her how to shoot it. I asked her what kind of gun it was, and she said she didn't know, because it was in a box under her bed."

Hmmmm...

UPDATE IV: Seth Adam Smith takes apart another one of Levi's lies here.

I honestly think this makes Sarah sad.

He was close to the Palin's before this mess. He is a lost kid with no dad and a drug addicted mom looking for some attention. Unfortunately now he has a son and he's clearly not ready to step up.

At the moment the Palin's are caring for his son, while he panders around looking for an identity. What is really sad is that being a part of the Palin family could give him actual advantages in life that he is completely missing.

PEC September 2, 2009 11:29 AM

I guess I'm not as compassionate as the rest of you. This low-life is an embarrassement to his child. We can only hope that the Palin genes are strong enough to outweigh his poor contribution.

I do agree that the Palin's should remain silent regarding his swill - only the PDS crowd listen to him and if they were truthful they would probably admit that they think he's a fool.

While I know that kids do best with a relationship with both parents he will continue to be a source of cringe for his son. Bristol truely dodged a bullet when the planned marriage fell through.

Off topic: Obama's approval index is down to -12 (via Rasmussen).

Overall, 46% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. Fifty-three percent (53%) now disapprove.

Wow! He keeps dropping; this thing with talking to the school kids on the 8th should really boost his ratings, heh? (That's said with sarcasm).

SARAH DOESN'T COOK:

I seem to remember at the beginning of the year that when Greta Van Susteren was interviewing Sarah Palin in her home in Wasilla that she was indeed cooking.

Was that special effects or a Palin impersonator doing the cooking and the interview?

My guess is somebody could research Sarah's Governor's schedule and debunk the entire story. Actually this would be pretty easy.
The only thing I do agree is Bristol probably has had to pitch in a little extra with two working parents. This is common with Teens in this situation. Sounds like Bristol was up to the task and Levi wasn't.
Oh another lie by Levi is he talked of doing so much at their house but I thought Levi was MR Hunting Man always out hunting continously. How could he be doing all this time in the house while he was supposedly hunting all the time?

defendAmerica September 2, 2009 11:52 AM

Sarah has said repetitively that the Palin family works because everyone is expected to contribute. She has said that the kids do have ACTUAL RESPONSIBILITIES and are expected to pull their weight and contribute to the family in an age appropriate way.

Recently Bristol has said that she does most of the family laundry and grocery shopping. She also works a part time job and is going to college. Sarah isn't raising slackers.

Perhaps there were times she expected the kids to get dinner ready. She does have 3 teenage children. This seems like a reasonable expectation to me. Maybe this concept of hard work and expectations was all a new concept for Levi.

What makes Levi Johnston a Judas:

1)he has taken his 30 pieces of silver

2)he constantly betrays secrets or fabricates stories based on his association with the Palins and Bristol

From Matthew 26;14-16

"Then one of the Twelve--the one called Judas Iscariot-went to the chief priests and asked, "What are you willing to give me if I hand him over to you? So they counted out for him 30 silver coins. From then on Judas watched for an OPPORTUNITY to hand him over."

From Matthew 27:4

"I (Judas) have sinned," he said "for I have BETRAYED INNOCENT BLOOD."

"What is that to us?" they replied. "THAT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY."

The only thing Levi hasn't done yet is to do a mea culpa and hang himself. So am I to wait for him to do that before I accredit him for being a full-fledged Judas.

PEC September 2, 2009 11:59 AM

defend - You are probably onto something. Levi is probably talking about his White Trash family and then in his warped way passes it off as the Palin's. I could see Sherry (my back hurts) Johnston laying around all day and sending the kids out for fast food because they are all too lazy to do anything.
Levi would then go to the Palin's and everybody pitched in. This is why the Palin's are so self independent.

As to the adoption assertion, it may be true, but so what. If it had gone through it would have been made public. Bristol would still be the mother.

“He just wants to tell his side of the story” WTF?
Here is your story Levi, You got yourself a gorgeous girl, from a very nice family, you got her pregnant and then threw her, her family and your kid under the bus!
That’s it that’s you story.

It’s so sad, this kid could have had it all, a nice girl an amazingly accepting family, Sarah would have helped him financially, maybe even set him up a little business. One day he would have been an often guest at the white house, job offers would have been rolling in. He threw it all away for what? For 15 minutes in the spotlight.

Well, there’s a lesson for us all, remember who your TRUE friends are and always think ahead.

This kid makes me so sad. I cannot say I am surprised. When everyone was happily writing about how Bristol and Levi were going to get married, etc., I knew then--and shared--that I was not feeling that. As a person who prays hard for the Palins, my prayer was that God's will would be done in Bristol's life, and I just knew Levi wasn't it. I thank God that He saved her from the mistake that he apparently is.

Having said that, Levi just doesn't seem to get that he is compromising his relationship with his son by dissing his son's mom and grandmother. Is there no strong male figure in Levi's life to pull him aside and say, "Dude, what in the world are you doing? What are you thinking, man?!" He is being used, it will cost him dearly, and he will live to regret it. How utterly, completely sad.

I expect Sarah Palin and family will continue to ignore him, as they should.

Levi Johnston plumbs new depths of scumbaggery with Vanity Fair article on Sarah Palin
http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/culture/lucyjones/100002845/levi-johnston-plumbs-new-depths-of-scumbaggery-with-vanity-fair-article-on-sarah-palin/

Levi Johnston should have thought twice before he spilled the beans on Sarah Palin in this month’s Vanity Fair magazine. In an article called ‘Me and Mrs. Palin’, the 19-year-old father of Tripp ‘turns a number of commonly held beliefs about the former governor – the purportedly loving mother, devoted wife, and prolific hunter – upside down’.

Hang on a minute: this is the grandmother of his son. Whatever you make of the Republican politician, she doesn’t come off worse in this lazy, base ‘exposĂ©’ - Johnston does. And how is he going to explain this interview to his son one day?

Is the interview salacious? Well, judging by the morsels we’ve been given before the magazine hits our shelves, it’s desperately weak.

These include the revelation that, after campaigning with John McCain, ‘Sarah was sad for a while. She walked around the house pouting’. Ok, Levi, you’re really hooking my attention here.

Then we learn that Sarah and Todd don’t cook, the ‘kids would do it all themselves’. And apparently Bristol ‘would help her youngest sister with her homework’. Well, blow me down.

Johnston’s naivetĂ© is symptomatic of the flash-fame he endured last year when he was launched into the media spotlight as part of the Palin campaign. His MySpace page, where he offered the charming warning ‘ya —- with me I’ll kick your ass’ and said he ‘didn’t want kids’, was the subject of great ridicule. But it’s no excuse for his foolish move.

Yet, perhaps Vanity Fair is more at fault here, with its peculiar obsession with savaging Sarah Palin. Having incessantly aimed vitriol at her looks, her ‘narcissism’, her ‘aggressive’ personality and caricaturing her into an elk-shooting bimbo, it has started scraping the barrel. And this time its instrument of choice is Johnston, a teenage scumbag who would put his ego before his child.

Like you I had the same take on the situation. I was one of the first posters anywhere to claim that Levi could proves to be Sarah's Achilles' heel and that he would go this unseemly, slimy route of selling his soul to Obama, while the greater majority were CHARITABLE and gave him the benefit of the doubt.

If I am not mistaken two weeks after the election was what, mid November? So how come when she announced her resignation on July 3rd, 8 month later it was a shock to the entire world, no one predicted it. I mean Levi by that time you had done numerous interviews you would think somewhere you may have raised the flag and said something like “yeh she wants to quit her job” or “She’s been talking about givin up her job”.

What is your purpose in spending so much time, words and space on this?

I guess the concept that Palin was trying to make the best of an unfortunate situation escapes you? No doubt you think she should have trashed the father of her future grandchild just ike he's doing now to her?

And what is YOUR purpose in spending your time and words defending Levi?

This piece of navel lint really cannot even begin to see the big picture. Last year at this time, he was invited to stand on the world stage with the nominee’s for President and Vice President of the United States. But instead of grasping the meaning and honor of that momentous moment in our countries history, he chooses instead to not only sully himself, but he also sullies the mother of his child and the governor of his state who just also happened to be the Vice Presidential nominee. He even chooses to dishonor his own beautiful child.

Thankfully for Bristol’s sake, Levi is out of her life; she and her son will be just fine. And for many years to come, Sarah Palin will continue to make history in this world by working hard to change our country for the better, whereas Levi Johnston will end up being nothing but a little pathetic footnote in someone’s dusty old history book.

section9 September 2, 2009 12:48 PM

He, he...now Tank Jones and Rex Butler have joined the Obama payroll? Why? Just because they're black? For all you know they could have actually voted for her for governor....wow,what a bunch of racists you are.

There is a crying need for David Axelrod to step up his astroturfing game. The "racist" bloody shirt has been abused so much by Democrats that average voters have long ago tuned it out as background noise. Besides, perhaps the concern troll from Virginia would like to direct his racist canard to Adrienne and let him get away with it.

Virginia Voter is just a Creigh Deeds supporter who is deeply disturbed over the fact that Sarah maxed out her contribution to the McDonnell for Governor Campaign. He's also upset over the fact that Deeds is going to get squashed like a bug in the fall. Deeds has no issues, he has no competence, and he's got Barack Obama around his neck-which ain't the asset it used to be.

And yes, the fact that Levi is screwing up his life big time must deeply sadden the Palins. This kid should have taken his GED and enlisted some time ago. It will take Parris Island to straighten him out.
This kid's life is a train wreck waiting to happen, and it's just a sad thing to see. Yep, it's easy to make jokes about Levi making gay porn and all that stuff, but this is an immense personal tragedy that's unfolding. Fortunately for Bristol Palin and her child, she is made of sterner stuff.

Five years from now, no one will care about Levi. His usefulness to the Left will have come to an end. That's what's so sad: Levi is too young and dumb to know this.

It is my hope that Palin will remain silent about this latest escapade. This is all so very sad.

Tripp is the one I feel sorry for in this entire ridiculous story. His dad is trashing his grandmother and grandfather, the two people helping to raise him, and when he's older, he's going to have to read these harmful words coming from his own father's mouth. He wasn't blessed with a good and decent father. :(

Lipstick September 2, 2009 12:57 PM

Hmmm.

I guess I am a bad mother. My son is expected to do things around my house. As he gets older more is expected from him. His first job is his school work, then his chores around the house. I would rather do his chores myself, but that would be selfish of me.

When he grows up and leaves my house I do not want every pair of underware he owns to be pink because he had no idea how to sort and wash his laundry.

I do not want my future daughter-in-law to hate me because I did not teach my son how to clean a bathroom, vacuum the floor, cook simple meals.

Meanwhile his Dad is teaching him "guy" stuff. How to fix simple things so he doesn't have to hire out simple projects, how to mow the yard etc.

I see this as being a good parent and being part of the team that is our family. He actually learns a lot of these things in scouting which he is very active in.

Poor Palin kids, having to cook a bit. Sarah is doing right by them and is why Bristol is working her butt off at a job and in school and taking care of her child while Levi is doing squat.

Beehive September 2, 2009 1:03 PM

Look, Governor Palin has been in politics for 17 years. I guarantee you she doesn't sit around and discuss work (being a mayor, gov, oil commission etc) with the kids' friends around. If that be the case, why aren't we hearing from Willow's friends and Piper's friends?

I can hear it now. The Guv comes home from a long day at the office. Hi Willow I'm home. Oh you have friends over playing basketball out back. Well come on over here for a few minutes and let me tell you guys about my horrible day as governor.
Oh and by the way, your dad makes me so mad I feel like divorcing him. And by the way, fix your own dang moose chili tonight. I'm so depressed and sad.

Give me a break. We all know how private the Palins are. Besides the Guv isn't going to talk in front of people. She's been in this business a long time and she knows how to be careful. Who to trust and not trust.

Good grief, Chuck Heath just said the other day. They keep things very private. They don't even tell family. Not even her mom or dad.

There was a difference in mindset between a Governor and a Mayor.

Let's be honest. Mayors are generally parochial. They will welcome any project of the State and Federal Govts.

But once you become a Governor, you will realize that FED MONEY IS NOT REALLY FREE. And it usually encroaches the rights of the State.

In that regard, the then Governor Palin didn't make any hypocritical claims on the "Bridge to Nowhere".

Existing Public Health Care "Death Panel" Rebuffed By Federal Court

Interesting that at the same time we were being told Sarah Palin's "Death Panel" comment was over the top, Hawaii attempted to implement that very thing as regards a public health care plan. They held no public hearings and didn't clearly state the ramifications to those most impacted. They just decided to save fifteen million bucks by withholding lifesaving care. Imagine a campaign ad, with a classroom full of kids watching a giant monitor with Prezit McStalinacorn as Big Brother like in 1984, and Sarah as the girl who runs into the room and throws a hammer through the screen.

Lovin' it!

The only thing I buy from this weasel is that Sarah was sad when she returned home to Alaska after losing to Obama.

I don't even buy that. Sarah Palin -- just one of the reasons why she's so freaking awesome -- strikes me as pretty much the go-with-the-flow and move-on-to-the-next-challenge kinda gal. She knows that the politics of personal destruction against her is part of being in the public eye, but I think the only thing that would make her sad/angry (and rightly so, I'm pissed off too) are the unfair and untrue attacks on her family.

Is there no strong male figure in Levi's life to pull him aside and say, "Dude, what in the world are you doing? What are you thinking, man?!"

Obviously not. Which admittedly is sad, but true.

He is being used, it will cost him dearly, and he will live to regret it.

Naw, thanks to his Liberal Democratic nannies he'll be taken care of. Only if/when he repents of his actions and stops feeding them lies against the Palins will they throw him under the bus. And even when that happens, he'll just make his bread doing pron or some stupid reality TV show like "Deadbeat Dads."

Levi Johnston: best argument for abstinence EVER

LOL! And Amen...

My heart literally breaks for what the Palin family has endured this past year with nothing but grace, class and forgiveness; no one deserves to be treated so hatefully the way that family has.

And yet, the Palins are correct to ignore Levi and let him hang himself, for to respond gives his statements validity. Yes, ideally every child should have two normal, stable parents. But when one of said parents has said that "he never wanted kids," said kids are better off without that parent in their lives.

Like someone else said, Bristol and Tripp will be just fine as long as she dumps her back-stabbing baby-daddy, continues her education, and lets her wonderful family of origin help her out when needed. Levi Johnston needs the Palins more than the Palins need him; good riddance to bad rubbish.

Lil 't',

Listen up. Some of us have observed Sarah Palin enough to know her character and to know that she is honest.

It doesn't matter who was there and who wasn't there.

It is not the least bit in doubt who is being honest and who not.

Except perhaps to morons.

PEC September 2, 2009 3:06 PM

So texas - Did he vote for Sarah or did he not because he wasn't registered. This is two totally different stories. He is lieing about one of the other. Of course it appears the local election oficials already answeered that for us. I guess where there is evidence of more than he said she said we know what the answer is.

Oh does Sarah cook. I know she cooked at least two meals (wait maybe that was a stunt double instead of the Governor). Men's Health saw Sarah cooking that was a 3rd time. Of Course Sarah did have to show Levi how to marinate (if he was MR Grill how could he not know how to marinate?) Tex - It appears the truth is coming out by the minute. Oh the next thing that could probably show she wasn't coming home everyday was the Governor's Calendar. I could probably go back and rebuild it but I trust the Governor so I don't think I will waste my time.

ZH September 2, 2009 3:27 PM

Levi has no credibility at all; he would sell ,lie and betray his own mother for some money.

Eunice September 2, 2009 3:35 PM

There is a saying that goes like this: "TEACHING A TEENAGER THE FACTS OF LIFE IS LIKE GIVING A FISH A BATH" (an almost impossible task).

In other words, even when parents do everything right, it's not 100% guarantee that their child/children would get it...That was the mistake with Bristol (getting pregnant), which she has appropriately rectified by finishing highschool, and going on to college. That's called PERSONAL RESPONSIBILTY, a term completely lost to the father of their child. And it makes me sad for the PALINS that, for the rest of their lives, Levi would be associated with them in one form or the other.

Teenagers will always be teenagers, otherwise really, what could Bristol possibly have seen in Levi? certainly not his intelligence or his curly hair...

Even if I were not a Palin supporter, there was no way Levi would have any credibility with me, seeing how keeps changing his mouth to suit the occasion and the audience.

I may be mistaken, but I thought I read something in Daniel's article about Levi doing something (right) for his 'fans'. Wow! This young man trully sound lost.

For the sake of his own future, I hope he eventually comes around, and publicly apologizes to the Palins for all his lies.

JohnDoeAt30Below September 2, 2009 3:41 PM

Sarah didn't need Levi's permission to do anything - Bristol was a minor and Levi had no legal rights.

If Sarah wanted to adopt the child, she would have shipped Bristol to relatives in Idaho and that would have been that.

One of these days - when his 15 minutes of fame are up - he'll come crawling back and try to get into the Palin's good graces, you know, like when she is President. Like I said yesterday - Sarah will get the last laugh.

When you can get them for free all day long from this kid. His two watch dog baby sitters Tank and Tex have just over played their hands.

Can't you just imagine what a truthful, nice book about the Palin's, including Bristol and his son, would have done for him money wise and interviews on all the talk shows. He could have made big money if he wasn't being lead and taking advice from the two Palin haters.

Haha.

And losing.

Ashley September 2, 2009 3:53 PM

Do you do all the Palin girls hair?

PEC September 2, 2009 3:56 PM

johndoe - Depends on Idaho law but that is a possibility.

JeanA September 2, 2009 3:59 PM

It’s funny; a colleague at work today asks me how Sarah is doing. He knows I am a Sarah fan. I mention the Levi kid is at it again. The colleague told me the boy has no creditability and nobody believes a word coming out of his mouth. My colleague is not a Palin fan.

PEC September 2, 2009 4:03 PM

Oh another lie. I thought Levi and crew was saying Sarah was forcing them to get married. Now the story is she was forcing them to put the child up for adoption?
This kid is all over the map. My advice to any news organization that wants to keep any credibility is to blasts this story or just ignore it. To give it any credibility is to believe a clear liar.

Beehive September 2, 2009 4:08 PM

Ashley

I am not the Palin's hairdresser. That is JessicaBeehive.

I don't know a thing about doing hair. I do shave all of my boys heads in the summer. Well of course until they are old enough to say no way.

wisetrog September 2, 2009 4:18 PM

I am not reading the Vanity Fair hit piece but isn't this getting tiresome? Every time she gets one positive thing done, they pull this Levi on her. Idiots.

BLT in Texas September 2, 2009 4:20 PM

Thanks for taking the time to de-construct trash like this. It's nice to have a place to point people who ask questions or simply don't have time to run down everything themselves. Keep up the defense that Sarah can't do herself.

jimr3 September 2, 2009 4:24 PM

PEC @ 4:03,

That's about right.

GQ Magazine interview with Johnston. July issue.

Johnston: "I know that her parents didn't want us together ... so they probably put a little pressure on her," he said. "But at the same time, they told us they wanted us to get married when they found out Bristol was pregnant. ... I don't know what the deal was."

EdFab September 2, 2009 4:30 PM

Did Levi get a GED? That'll qualify him to go to college but the military is out because GEDs are not accepted as high school diploma substitutes anymore.

And in Levi's case, I'm glad. The armed forces are turning away some intelligent young men and women because of their stringent enlistment standards, but Levi isn't one of them.

He's psychologically damaged and without any moral compass. If he were just a hellraiser who had gotten into trouble with the law a few times but showed signs that there was an inner decency inside him, then that would be a mitigating situation.

But there is no mitigating situation, unless being morally decripit is mitigating. I say let him pose as a pinup or get into porn movies to his heart's content because his credibility then will be nigh impossible for even the left to sustain.

Dan C September 2, 2009 4:42 PM

Of course the Associated Press has levi lies up as one of their top headlines on yahoo.

What a disgrace.

AmeriCuda September 2, 2009 4:45 PM

The reason he made this gossip-dump now is because he COULDN'T get a book deal.
If Levi had listened to the angel on his right shoulder and not the devil on his left he would have taken the exact opposite approach (as JuJu discussed) and he'd have come out on top.
He should have seen what a blessing his association with the Palin family was and worked his butt off to do the right thing.
A book about being young parents, written by both he and Bristol would have been published, gotten them invites to all the networks, and allowed him to keep his self respect. Instead he proved himself to be the same white trash as the rest of his family. A decision which, after being used and spit out by the Axel-of-evil, will haunt him forever.

jimr3 September 2, 2009 4:47 PM

PEC & Toki

Here is the actual GQ interview with Johnston.

GQ: "Did you get the sense that her parents were pressuring her?"

Johnston: "I know that her parents didn’t want us together. I really don’t think they did. So they probably put a little pressure on her. But at the same time, they told us they wanted us to get married when they found out Bristol was pregnant. Whether they put pressure on her for the breakup — I don’t know what the deal was."

This dumb ass is all over the place with what he says.

It seems to me what Levi wants more than anything else is his own MTV reality show a la Rob & Big. If you know the show, compare it to those pics of Levi & Tank wandering around Hollywood. Am I right?

Maybe he thinks this is his ticket to the big time, but it's clear that someone has been coaching him on how to add details that make the preferred narratives of "Palin is a narcissist/crazy/mean/liar" pop out. When in reality most of that stuff sounds completely normal, like something my mother would say.

Gelston September 2, 2009 4:50 PM

off the thread but of interest to people looking for hope in the conservative movement...

Former Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling has admitted that he is considering a run for Ted Kennedy's Senate seat as the GOP candidate.

http://38pitches.weei.com

Maybe the people in the movement to leave the Union and form the Red Sox Nation will have reason to vote for a World Seroes hero.

CharterOakie September 2, 2009 5:07 PM

Gelston,

Interesting news. I hope Schilling does it. Solid guy.

I could definitely imagine Sarah campaigning for someone like that.

Now where's Brianus when we need his eloquence?

bassman September 2, 2009 5:12 PM

Here is a couple of more lies: He told Larry King he "does'nt kiss and tell" yet that is exactly what he did in the interview with Tyra Banks. Maggie Rodriguez (CBS) asked Levi was he or Gov. Palin lying when she wrote on her Facebook Levi was looking for fame and fortune. Levi told Larry King he had no lawyer, even though he was sitting off camera. He also told Larry King he was not looking into finacial offers, but his lawyer was doing just that.

Adrienne,

What a wonderful soul you are...:)

On one hand I totally agree with you. It breaks my heart how this young man is being taken advantage of by the media low lifes. He comes across as being "white trash" and as just trying to take advantage of his son's parentage.

I think that he's one card short of a full deck and unfortunately there is no adult role model in his life to point out to him how this will effect his son. There is no adult in his life to direct him on the right path.
The "adults" in his life are taking advantage of and just don't really care, about him or his son.

I'm sure Sarah prays for him to set himself right not only for her grandson's sake but for Levi's sake as well.

On the other hand I'm sure Bristol and all the Palins are grateful that they never married, but are cringing that they will have to deal with him the rest of their lives.

Bristol should be telling all those teenage girls out there that there IS more to guys then what they look like in a pair of jeans...:)

terri September 2, 2009 5:31 PM

We used to have a saying on the farm: "If you wallow in hog sh**t long enough, then you will start smelling like hog sh**t all the time."

Rex Butler and his cohort Tank are the real scumbags as they continue to prod and pull Levi away from any semblance of a "moral compass" he might have had at one time.

At first, I envisioned Rex Butler as a handsome, somewhat erudite version of a Johnnie Cochran-type attorney........ until I saw him. Then, after reading about Butler/Tank and hearing their comments, I quickly concluded that the two are simply scumbags. They remind me of a former tag-team wrestling duo with bad knees who got way overweight and can't maneuver anymore. They have no class whatsoever.

Levi says in one of the interviews that he would like to change the misconception that his family is "white trash." Well, son, you hooked up with the wrong partners for that. They are pulling you further into the hog trough.

BTW, I wonder who (and for how much) is paying Butler/Tank under the table to keep up this charade. Same with comedienne Kathy Griffen -- Who in the Liberal Left paid her to flaunt Levi on her arm at the recent teen-age TV awards show?

When I got married my in-laws loved me more than my own parents. They really took me in. I knew that they were part of the deal when I got married. I was wise enough to take them up on their love and support.

Looks like the left can't wait to prostitute Levi out for gay tricks (literally). That's what happens when you sell your soul out to sexual neurotics (see Dennis Miller).

But if you think about it their whole Sarah Palin Problem is sexual neuosis. She's beautiful, pro-life, faithfully married and feminist in her concerns for how women are prostituted in the madia and the world. Their sexual neurosis can't stomach her.

Their heroic answer is to take a straight guy and see if they can get him to sell himself for gay tricks. Once again... the left shows who the real sexual exployters are.

Maybe the Palins should go and get this guy... take him under their wing before he's found doing tricks on Hollywood Blvd.

He doesn't get that yet. He will, in no uncertain terms.

Nobody here is effing afraid of Levi. You lefties have tried every Jedi mind trick in David Axelrod's arsenal and Sarah is kicking Obama's ass on Facebook, of all places.

The best you assclowns can do is pimp Levi to the country under the color of authority of Vanity Fair Magazine? Just because Hitchens is still a contributor?

Merde!

juju September 2, 2009 6:20 PM

LMAO...afraid of Levi??? What are you smoking?? No ONE...I repeat...NO ONE...with an ounce of sense believes even half of what this kid says.

He picked the wrong horse to ride in this race. Too bad he didn't have some better sense and some one to steer him in the right direction. He could be cashing in big time now and have a great reputation. A book about how he and Bristol met and had a baby together and his experiences on the campaign. How he rose above his own family problems. He could have had a best seller read not only by adults but by teenagers. Now all he has is the title of "Kiss and Tell". Ask any "real" man and that is not a reputation to be proud of. Like my father use to tell me..."You play the game you get the name". Now he has a name that is nothing for him to be proud of and nothing for his son to be proud of thanks to his two advisers.
