DNC Hacks Attack Governor Palin

The timing of this attack suggests that the DNC is perturbed by the fact that regardless of how American adults view Governor Palin's qualifications for the presidency at the moment, a good majority of American adults view her as "honest and trustworthy" and as "someone who cares about the needs of people like you." Her strong showing in these "character traits and qualities" categories (categories with which Republicans typically struggle) provide her arguments against Obamacare extra credibility.

This move from the DNC surprises me for two reasons: 1) the timing is interesting considering that it has been awhile since she's made the statements that concern the DNC and 2) ultra DNC hacks Hari Sevugan or Brad Woodhouse weren't on the e-mail.

Here is the DNC attack video:

Another amusing video from the DNC. I guess they are trying to rally their base.

juju,  October 28, 2009 11:26 PM

It won't take long to rally their base it is getting smaller every day.

juju,  October 28, 2009 11:28 PM

It is almost like Sarah has a spy among the libs.  Some were making fun of all the footnotes she made in her Facebook articles, but now it will serve her well...very smart move. Why don't they just check the footnotes and that should answer their questions.

Lakerfanalways,  October 28, 2009 11:35 PM

What base..even many Democrats are seeing Obama for what he is. All Obama will help left by the time 2012 rolls around are the hardcore left and the media

Recovering Democrat,  October 28, 2009 11:39 PM

Using Sarah as a villain? Sure sounds like she's the head of the resistance to me :-)

Speaking of which, feel free to comment on my innaugural post on Sheya's blog. It's an open letter to Charles Krauthammer disecting his contention that "Sarah Palin is not a serious contender."

Gee, why spend money to refute an irrelevant, unqualified quitter.

Ooops, yep, dedicated domain. Sorry about that Sheya!
I love strengthening the doubters. Maybe that could be my gig!

The DNC can spell "trustworthy?"...Bet they can't define it!
For those interested...Pinecam.com will have the snowfall..35 inches so far in Pinedale...

AmeriCuda,  October 29, 2009 12:09 AM

I would love to know what is at the heart of CK1's deep seeded resentment of her. I know he (hearts) abortion rights, so that could be it. Whatever it is, it is so petty how he keeps bringing out that same old, tired phrase. Same with George Will. He lurvs him some Michelle Bachmann but thinks SP is a disgrace. What's that about?
In his last article Will insinuated that Palin was only concerned with social issues, whereas MB was all about fiscal matters. That's just a gross mischaracterization of SP's record. I don't think either Will or CK ever read her posts.

Bestbud,  October 29, 2009 12:15 AM

Gov. Palin, May God bless you and your family.... I applaud your courageous principled stance defending you and your families honor... your a beacon of hope and honor... love your stead fast and quick smack-downs of all involved... poignantly  illuminating their evil agendas and self-serving loathsome character.

We are millions in support of you... we are your friends!

Recovering Democrat,  October 29, 2009 12:15 AM

That's why we included a link to Sarah's Facebook page and C4P. I sent this letter to Bret Baier to forward to CK. Hopefully he will check out Sarah's essays. I like Charles Krauthammer, but he is SO BLIND when it comes to Sarah Palin. She is not all about the social issues.

GEE...DNC....What are your plans for the... Relevant Candidate????...

Nancy,  October 29, 2009 12:18 AM

Nancy likes how Joe Wilson called out Obama.
"You lie!"

Whitney the Pipsqueak,  October 29, 2009 12:21 AM

Mia, Do you have an O'blaba avatar? :)

Nancy,  October 29, 2009 12:21 AM

Awesome letter! You write very well, Recovering Democrat! Nancy is glad you're on our side!:)

Mia,  October 29, 2009 12:22 AM

YEP!...hehehe...

Mia,  October 29, 2009 12:24 AM

Awesome!...Nicole...

Nancy,  October 29, 2009 12:24 AM

The other relevant candidates for 2012 cannot be reached for comment, so the DNC has to attack the irrelevant one.

Two of the relevant candidates don't seem to have any view on the most hotly contested race in the country, that is just how the DNC likes it. Sit down and shut up.

Whitney the Pipsqueak,  October 29, 2009 12:25 AM

That video was funny. I think all the clips were from CNN. They also, like everyone else, forgot the quotation marks around "death panels".

Whitney the Pipsqueak,  October 29, 2009 12:28 AM

by the way, the LOTUS has a post about Obama's version of Take Me Out to the Ballgame:

WHAAAAAAAAT???...The Relevant Candidates can't be Reached????
Pity....

Nancy,  October 29, 2009 12:31 AM

Great job, Whitney!

Nancy bets that is exactly how Governor Palin looked when she chucked her wedding ring in the lake.

Whitney the Pipsqueak,  October 29, 2009 12:31 AM

One of them is playing his bass. One is putting pomade on his hair. The other is reading Gov. Palin's Facebook posts so he knows his next move.

Recovering Democrat,  October 29, 2009 12:32 AM

Why, thank you :-) And thanks to Sheya for the opportunity to voice some of my Sarah love!

Sheya,  October 29, 2009 12:33 AM

According to the Democrats, Governor Palin is Irrelevant, Ignorant, un-qualified and not a serious contender.

Going after her, effectively gives her a seat a t the big boys table, and makes her more powerful. So why do it?

The Democrats are beginning to realize what a disaster Obama is. The New Jersey, Virginia and NY23 races make them realize the Obama Presidency is going to come back and bite the Democratic Party at large.

Also, now that Bush is gone they don’t have anyone to blame.

I’m starting to believe that the Democrats actually want Governor Palin to become President. Getting Palin into the White House solves all their problems. Hence, the DNC’s effort in empowering Governor Palin.

sarah palin rocks,  October 29, 2009 12:33 AM

Too late DNC!  Sarah has already derailed Obamacare off the tracks from sure passage in August.  The "Death Panels" controversy struck a chord with many of us ordinary citizens (even some of my life long Liberal friends). Now we just need some of those Congress critters to show some major spine and deal the final death blows like Lieberman or Bayh or Stupak or Snowe, etc..

CruelaDev,  October 29, 2009 12:35 AM

Ooopppsss... DNC...

Does that stand for DUMBASSES NATIONAL COMMUNISTS?
You forgot about this little tidbit!!!!!   YOU LIE!

Yeah, guys, give me some traffic :)

AmeriCuda,  October 29, 2009 12:39 AM

Thanks for the clip, Cruela.

Governor Palin being honest about their plans, when Robert Reich only says, if the Democrats could be honest.

Irrelevancy certainly causes alot of wee-weeing in D.C, while the "relevant" candidates are just in the way for the stampede of elites trying to get to the bathroom.

Sheya,  October 29, 2009 12:47 AM

Hannity: Palin Put Hoffman Over The Top

If Doug Hoffman Wins the NY23 race it will be Governor Palin who put him over the top. So say Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter (Foxnews 10/28/2009)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_8Ayp9T-d4

Stazec,  October 29, 2009 12:48 AM

So there is the Begala email, the Media Matters email, the DNC ad, the Levi interviews, and the CNN articles today. There was another article on cnn.com that looked like James Carville wrote it himself. Coordinated to attack a private citizens... what? Oprah interview? Or are they scarred about the book release? I think they are scarred that Hoffman will win and that people will read and like her book. They are pathetic minus the attacks on her family. That is not pathetic that is evil.
You can send CBS some "feedback" if you want for their "interview" today where they managed to attack two toddlers at the same time, here: http://www.cbsnews.com/htdocs/feedback/fb_news_form.shtml?tag=ftr

CCRWM,  October 29, 2009 12:49 AM

That add was awful...

Why are they making adds about a private citizen? Hum not scared much are they...

Whitney the Pipsqueak,  October 29, 2009 12:51 AM

Thanks for the links, Sheya!

I'm glad that Greta still calls her Governor Palin.

GAHanson,  October 29, 2009 12:54 AM

I read that Lindsey Graham has backed off on Cap and Trade.  Could he smell a RINO hunter in the neighborhood?

Did you see the article on FOX about how Romney brought GOP STAR POWER to the race in VA?  This is the really funny quote:

"Romney, one of the biggest draws in the party, follows President Obama's visit to the Old Dominion a day earlier to stump for state Sen. Creigh Deeds."

Yeah, he's a big draw alright, last time he was in VA he drew a crowd of DOZENS according to the local press.  DOZENS, did you get that?  Notice how this article doesn't even mention any crowd size, that's probably because it was about the size of his last rally, DOZENS.

Here's another one:

"Romney's prospective 2012 Republican rival Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty did recently endorse Hoffman over Scozzafava, as did former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint."

Yeah, right, Pawlenty is his prospective rival, and this joker relegates Palin to the background, as if she had followed Pawlenty's lead.

This goes to prove that FOX is in the tank for Romney, plain and simple.

I wonder... how many flushes per day...in DC.?????...hmmmmm...

Anonymous,  October 29, 2009 12:57 AM

Maybe it will take the same thing it took for Obama to win.  The most unpopular incumbent in US history and a massive economic collapse not seen since the Great Depression.  Not too hard to win when those things happen.

Being a woman had nothing to do with what happened.  Hillary would have won easily if she was the nominee.

Whitney the Pipsqueak,  October 29, 2009 12:57 AM

That was an excellent piece, RD!:)

Indemind,  October 29, 2009 1:06 AM

They spent money on that? I think a third grader with a Macbook could have done better.
But then again, Im not surprised. Democrats are terrible with money, especially other peoples'.

Nancy,  October 29, 2009 1:09 AM

Yeah! How many squares are they allowed per trip to the pot?

Sheya,  October 29, 2009 1:11 AM

On My site yep... Here, we're still working on that. Actually I'm coming close tofiguring it out.

TexMex,  October 29, 2009 1:12 AM

PALIN EFFECT!!!!!!! Begala will rue the day he wrote that down. And I will enjoy the hell out of that phrase for a long, long time. Yes, I'm buzzed, borderline drunk, but this site attracts Barbarians and there will be no judgment re: debauchery here! Well, maybe, but I bet there are a few of you who enjoyed the adult beverage every now and then. Bottom line: Palin Effect is an outstanding turn of phrase and I wholeheartedly adopt it!!!

Mia,  October 29, 2009 1:14 AM

Whitney the Pipsqueak,  October 29, 2009 1:18 AM

Indeed, it was unprofessional and juvenile.

Nancy,  October 29, 2009 1:18 AM

Could this ad just be somebody over at the DNC just got ahold of that big red FALSE graphic? Maybe, thought it was new and innovative, and went crazy.

Mia,  October 29, 2009 1:18 AM

Yikes!...Trees and Water...Bad...very bad...

narciso,  October 29, 2009 1:21 AM

It's kind of like the butterfly effect, no not the horrible movie with Ashton Kutcher, one tiny action, creates a ripple effect. They really don't understand what a groundswell she generates, it's like Obama but it's genuine, which is a contradiction in terms

Sheya,  October 29, 2009 1:32 AM

Knock yourselves out.... But loyalty must remain with C4P, you’ll hear it all here first anyway... this is usually where I plagiarize all my stuff from anyway.

panchita,  October 29, 2009 6:02 AM

interesting  article in politico http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1009/28873.html, iowans are insulted by the fact that Sarah is being offered money to come and speak in that state. various gop types are quoted as put off by the offer of pay to play. here is such a type
“If somebody tells me they want me to pay an appearance fee, it tells me they’re not very serious about running for president,” said Ed Failor, Jr., president of Iowans for Tax Relief and an influential GOP insider.

They do mention that Sarah may not appear as she is busy with her book tour. Also mention that it could be an amateurish attempt to lure more ticket buyers to their event.

FredHeadBill,  October 29, 2009 6:26 AM

I enjoyed your open letter to Charles Krauthammer, but I think he discounts Sarah Palin as a serious contender because of his beliefs. I should say his belief in evolution, has placed an unseen prejudice in his view of Sarah Palin as an effective leader.

“Evolution is one of the most powerful and elegant theories in all of human science and the bedrock of all modern biology.” “Let's Have No More Monkey Trials”” By Charles Krauthammer Monday, Aug. 01, 2005 Time

If Dr. Krauthammer was to show open support for Governor Palin he would be called on to explain how he could support someone that suggested that Intelligent Design be taught along side his “most powerful and elegant theories” public schools.

It just that powerful faith in God is so foreign to many in our country, so those that have unflinching Faith are many times thought to be intellectually inferior. So like you say and others Charles Krauthammer just doesn’t get Sarah Palin.

Bill in Baltimore,  October 29, 2009 6:49 AM

even the most cursory look at evolution points out the fallacy.

The result of evolution is this:
- sweat shops of the late 1800's / early 1900's
- unspeakable atrocities towards the Australian aborigines
- Communism
- Hitler
- Columbine (their web sites touted 'survival of the fittest')

It's all available here

This is a must see for any thinking person, believer or not. It exposes the deadly lies of evolution

Bill in Baltimore,  October 29, 2009 7:08 AM

The DNC attack is powerful - for people who aren't political junkies.

Plus, I challenge all C4P'ers to respond to all accusations with facts and logic, because you'll run across people who believe what they purport

PEC,  October 29, 2009 7:32 AM

Greta follows protocol.  Always have always will.

Doug Brady,  October 29, 2009 7:40 AM

Wait a minute, why is the DNC attacking Gov. Palin?  I thought she was irrelevent.  Why aren't they attacking Mittens? He's the one with all that "star power".

tim c,  October 29, 2009 7:50 AM

Fantastic! A great invitation for Charles to join the party. We should all email Bret to make sure he passes it to CK.

TangledThorns,  October 29, 2009 7:50 AM

The DNC is wasting their energy on this as Sarah Palin is under the radar till her book comes out. I say let the DNC continue to waste donor money on this.

Lastly, I'm 100% certain the Obama WH and the Democrats will be unprepared for Sarah Palin's book blitz this Fall.

FredHeadBill,  October 29, 2009 9:26 AM

Bill thanks for the historic examples.
Straight out of college I worked in the state prison.I had developed a vague social Darwinist viewpoint that these inmates were just the victims of soceity, but after six months I realized that soceity had been the victim. Human nature is the same as from the beginning.
Mrs. Palin elegantly points to this truth.
"We don’t believe that human nature is perfectible; we’re suspicious of government efforts to fix problems because often what it’s trying to fix is human nature, and that is impossible. It is what it is. But that doesn’t mean that we’re resigned to, well, any negative destiny. Not at all. I believe in striving for the ideal, but in realistic confines of human nature…" Sarah Palin Hong Kong

riley4palin,  October 29, 2009 9:43 AM

I thought the add was brilliant.

It only reinforced my opinion of Obama.

He sounded like a South Side Chicago ACORN Community Organizing Thug and by repeating that line "Call You Out', it will turn people completely off to the real message they are trying to convey.

I would not be surprised in the least if some Rap Musician like Jay Z or Michael Steele was the producer of this video.

If the DNC is trying to help make Obama be more likable, and Governor Palin the monster, they are doing a really shitty job.

If I were the RNC, not that I want to help them out these days, but I sure would keep a copy of this video on file to use at a later date against Obama.

Obama is to Chicago as Tony Soprano is to New Jersey.  People can get that analogy pretty quickly.

I bet it's bad.  I won't (can't) watch it.  Not yet, not now.  I'm still so mad at them for the theft of the primaries.  I'm still so mad at the take over.  Totally some OTHER group up there claiming to be donkey's when in truth they are VIPERS.  My heart can't take too much more irritation this day.  My facebook page won't handle it.  LOL

ladydawnelle,  October 29, 2009 12:58 PM

ok what happened?  I posted than saw a copy so deleted the copy and lost both?  weird!
Anyway, HI GANG!  I can't (won't) watch that video.  I'm still soooooo mad at the take over of the DONKEY party by the VIPERS from CHI-TOWN that I'm afraid if I see ONE More LIE about her I will POP a VEIN in my head!!  Or go buy a gun and start shooting poor defenseless squirrels off my bird feeder!  (lol joking) sorta ;-)

ladydawnelle,  October 29, 2009 1:27 PM

ew really?  what kind of droolaide r they drinkin now?  I mean Romney just all by himself knowing NOTHING about him only to hear him speak for a few seconds you can see he's a slick pol and totally a yawn!  ZERO charisma and you need a LOT of that to fool the public into voting for you - as OBAMBAM did!  Of course charisma is not enough but gets you past the primaries at least!  LOL didn't he learn that the last time?

ladydawnelle,  October 29, 2009 1:29 PM

lol and you are ratting yourself out too!  but you type very well for a drunk!  lol j/k

What towering asshats.

All they do is drive traffic to her facebook site. If we score a hat trick next Tuesday, Sarah is going to be a superstar.

My take? Christie is having trouble with the Base. He should call in Sarah as his "closer" in Republican leanign areas. It's all about turnout now.
