NRCC Changing Position on Doug Hoffman in NY-23?; Updated: "Sapwolf" Reports From the Ground in Upstate NY
It looks like the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), chaired by Representative Pete Sessions (R - Texas), is finally getting the message from the base. Just four days ago, in an article for the Politico, Alex Isenstadt wrote the following:
The National Republican Congressional Committee remains committed to embattled GOP nominee Dede Scozzafava in the upstate New York House special election, even as many of the party's top names throw their support to Conservative Party nominee Doug Hoffman.
Two party officials tell POLITICO that the NRCC will continue to air TV ads propping up Scozzafava in the days leading up to the Nov. 3 contest and plans to keep up a near relentless barrage of press releases slamming Hoffman.
[...]
The NRCC plans to spend between $200,000 and $300,000 on TV ads in the final week-and-a-half of the campaign. The ads will focus on Owens and Scozzafava and will not mention Hoffman.
The NRCC appears to be changing their tune now. Late today, in a just-released Politico article by Alex Isenstadt and John Kraushaar, Rep. Sessions discussed Doug Hoffman and the race in NY-23:
The House Republican leadership is prepared to welcome Doug Hoffman into its ranks, National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Pete Sessions (R-Texas) said Thursday, a sign that the GOP establishment is recalibrating its approach toward the contentious New York special election and the Conservative Party nominee whose candidacy has divided the party.
“He would be very welcome, with open arms,” Sessions told POLITICO in an interview off the House floor.
[...]
On Thursday afternoon, Sessions appeared to tacitly acknowledge that Hoffman may represent the GOP’s best chance to keep the Republican-held seat from being picked up by a Democrat.
“I think it’s pretty clear that a person who would vote for John Boehner, support tax cuts, support growing our economy, and defeat Nancy Pelosi’s tax and spend agenda will be really welcome in our conference, and I think having a person who can win that district off that message would be really good for the Republican Party,” Sessions said.
Isenstadt and Kraushaar also note what a truly remarkable grass roots effort is underway in the district:
Hoffman, whose campaign barely had a presence in the district as recently as two weeks ago, is getting help from a well-oiled conservative ground game, with hundreds of volunteers from tea party groups and leading conservative organizations working in upstate New York to help him get out the vote next Tuesday.
Hoffman’s campaign now has five campaign offices teeming with volunteers across the sprawling district. By contrast, Scozzafava’s campaign has just one office in her home base.
The anti-tax Club for Growth, pro-life Susan B. Anthony’s List, Eagle Forum and anti-illegal immigration Minuteman PAC all have staffers on the ground knocking on doors, making calls to Republican voters and delivering pro-Hoffman literature to churches.
I don't think it's possible to overestimate the importance of Governor Palin's endorsement in this grass roots effort. While Dick Armey and Fred Thompson, among others, endorsed Doug Hoffman first, it was Governor Palin's endorsement that launched the tidal wave of endorsements and sparked the nationwide excitement we're seeing now. C4P reader and commenter "Sapwolf" drove hundreds of miles to volunteer for Hoffman's campaign, as did countless others. NY-23 is now the most exciting race in the country this election cycle, and the most important reason for that is the bold step Governor Palin took in which she placed principle above party. If Doug Hoffman wins on November 3rd, which looks increasingly possible, it will be due, in no small part, to the leadership of Governor Palin.
Contribute to Doug Hoffman's campaign here.
Update by Doug: Sapwolf, to whom I referred above, is on the ground in Upstate New York and posted the following report in the comments:
Report from Watertown, NY on District 23 race:
Doug Hoffman now has the momentum. He has pulled even with the Dem Owens and is clearly 10+ points ahead of the radical GOP Scozzafava in the newest DailyKOS poll and in one other poll.
A couple of Fox people were outside the office and they had trouble finding people who were not for Doug. And no, Ainsley Earhart was not one of them, I would have noticed.
GOP voters are gradually coming around to the truth about Scozza’s voting record and many are expressing disgust. I saw on TV tonight, from the Best Western in Canton, an incredible TV add for Scozzafava that presented her as the ‘progressive’ candidate. I kid you not. I thought I was in the twilight zone. We even bumped into a guy who admitted that he was working for Dede’s campaign and that the people there knew it was a sinking ship.
The Dems and Scozza’s gang are now running adds that only attack Doug as he is the real front-runner now.
I posted on Sarah’s Facebook to tell people to call Dede’s campaign to try to convince her to back out of the race and back Doug, but I doubt she will. By EOD Tuesday, assuming the passion holds and the momentum continues, I think we can win this one. Say a prayer.
By the way, I met Doug (Hoffman) and shook his hand tonight in Canton. Great guy. Totally grassroots CPA. Sarah backed the right horse. Some of the people here thanked me for helping out. Good salt-of-the-earth people.
And don’t forget to contact your Congressmen and tell them to vote against the current healthcare bill.
I’ll try to post again over the weekend.

From third place to VICTORY in under 2 weeks! Amazing. Just think what we can do in 2010.
lListen Up Libs...Ax and Toes...Listen up....be AFRAID....Very AFRAID
I predicted a week ago that once Palin endorsed, a tide of Movement Conservative money would move into NY-23, followed by volunteers in its train. I was right. Only Palin can do that for Congressional Candidates.
All eyes at the NRCC have been following this race. Don't think they don't understand what happened before and after Palin endorsed. They know. Palin is their closer. Now the AssClown Party gets it.
You'll see less hostile leaking from the House Side of the party about Sarah. They want her in the districts. They know she produces cash and volunteers.
Watching this unfold reminds me of an incident that took place here at Washington state about 10 years ago.
The Legislators passed a bills requiring all of us physicians to have legible handwriting. If the handwriting was illegible, we were ordered to take a remedial course to improve our handwriting skills.
Members from both parties voted enthusiastically for this and it received a lot of attention in the local media.
This still came about just when computers were been introduced into the medical office. It was easy to pass this law and easy to support it in the first place because the doctors would be typing all the medical records before long anyway.
What this taught me was that politicians are eager support something when they understand that the changes going to take place anyway, regardless of whether they had originally supported it or not.
Sarah was the one that started the tsunami. Although the result of her endorsement was not obvious at first, it is now obvious that the tide is going the way of Mr. Hoffman. This is when the politicians will want to jump on board so they can take credit for something that's going to happen anyway.
It's not over until its over but it looks like this will be a big victory for Sarah.
God bless Sarah and her family.
When Sarah speaks she unleashed the Dogs of War (political war that is). This upstate district in NY is our Bunker Hill. We are going to win some and conversely lose some but in the end all that matters is stand by our philosophical principles.
hehehe...BUSTED!!!!...ahem...What were you saying Newtie?????
Governor Palin has Spoken...And.. We Conservatives... Have Listened...
Yeah Baby!!!!!!
LOL...LOL...NRCC...you GUTLESS WONDER...KISS ARSES..(can I say that here??)..I really am a REDNECK... NRCC ... values? principles? standing by your guy/gal?? ONLY if they are WINNING... The number of SPINELESS WONDERS always AMAZES me although I should NOT be suprised...
The GOOD GOVERNOR SARAH PALIN SUPPORTED HOFFMAN WHEN HE WAS LOW MAN DOWN IN THE DUMPS... Anyone have a SPINE other than SARAH PALIN ????????
OH..Mitt...Where Are You?????????
O’Reilly had an interesting Talking point memo on the Governor tonight, followed by a segment with beck. Unfortunately it came off guard and though I recorded it (as i record O’reilly-Greta every night) I came in to late to catch it direct and record live to disk. I did catch the Beck part so for now here is the Beck Segment the talking point memo will follow after Greta ends at which point I can access the digital file. Sorry about it folks

Beat them about the head long and hard enough and they eventually get it.
Si bambina!!! Ciao ciao.
I still don't like it when these journalist hacks put Pawlenty's name before Palin's when discussing NY-23 endorsements. It gives the impression that she followed him, when SHE is the one that turned this race on its head -and he followed up the rear.
Amen Dr. Gelston!
Ciao..bello..
Here is a link to youtube from tonight's Bill O'reilly show with Beck: they talk about Palin, Romney, etc.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lahDOH4gpzY
Good analogy, Coda. I stood at the base of the Bunker Hill monument about three weeks ago.
OH...Guitar Man...Where Are You????????
Sheya, you're the best. I tuned in near the end of the Beck segment on BOR; will now see what I missed. Thanks for posting once again.
|This really is a friendly hello to the dc crowd just don't let it happen again or Mama grizz might toss you about for a day or two.
Mia,
Hey speaking of Mitt,
AllaPundit has posted a smackdoen of Mr. Romney with a video included.
"RomneyCare was never about lowering costs, says Mitt"
In part:
I’m not sure which is worse: Trying to control costs, failing, and then denying that you tried or not even trying in the first place. I assume he’s going to end up settling on some sort of “the communist Massachusetts legislature made me do it” line on RomneyCare ahead of the primaries, but if so, then he ought to settle on it soon and start hammering it. No more misstatements or weasel words; all that does is play into the perception that he talks out of both sides of his mouth.
Ouch!

well, I'm a soon to be independent... I am probably more socially liberal/moderate than most on this board, but I am very conservative when it comes to fiscal policy, national defense, juducual philophy, and individual rights. As for the pro-life stance, I am pro-choice, but not pro-abortion, because I am pro-choice, I respected Sarah's decision to keep Trig, the more I thought about it, its the dipwads that call little trig "retarded", well they are the retarded ones... going after a little baby! I have always been moderate when it came to social issues, but I have never the viciousness the radical antiamerican looney leveled and continue to level against Sarah... the fact she is upsetting BOTH parties is a HUGE plus in my book!
I suspect most independents are like me, conservative or at least right of center on most things.. but want to be left alone when it comes to social issues..
I read this post, and contributed a sizable amt to Doug Hoffman just now, I may not agree with him on social issues, but I do on every other issue, and most important to me, he is a NONPOLITICIAN... he gets the tea parties...I want the elites of both parties to hear this rage that is comning their way!
jimr3 - tried to get your attention on an earlier thread. Can you please post the details from the Hoffman campaign email re: office locations and phone numbers? My email from them predated yours by a day or so and did not contain that info.
Thanks.
Guitar Man ??????? WWWWHHHHAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTT ????????????
lifelong deomcrat,
You sound like a Libertarian. Like me, you basically want the governmrnt to protect the country, only spend what money they have to, and basically letv you do your own thing. I can't argue with that.

Charter I would be happy to, but unfortunately I have already deleted the email. But I will go back and see if there is some way I can recover it.
It seem Allah is a little late omn the uptake I posted a comment about this last nite over at HA. Romney just shot himself in both feet with a doublebarrel shot gun.
Thanks jimr3!....ummmm...blablabla...and.. his Hair looked BAD! YIKES!
Welcome, soon-2-B. We don't all agree on everything here, but we agree on Governor Palin's honesty, integrity, leadership and service, among other qualities.
Huckster!
Interesting about all the volunteers, and new offices being established. From what I've read it was the same for the McCain campaign, before Palin hardly any volunteers and offices short staffed, after Palin more volunteers than they could effectively use, and offices fully staffed. Then there was the approx $10 million that was donated in the first couple of days after her selection.
You can bet every single repub in the house and senate are watching, many of them scared shXtless at the power that she has. The dems are in near meltdown mode.
The dems urging their crew to attack Palin via Facebook has resulted in an uptick of troll activity, but nowhere near a flood, just a trickle. Another EPIC FAIL on the part of Organizing for America and the DNC.
On Gov. Palin's Facebook this afternoon someone posted the phone number of Scozzafava's campaign headquarters, and suggested everyone call, and ask her to drop out of the race and endorse Hoffman. Several people said they called that the person answering the phone was very down in the dumps about the whole thing. Even the Daily Kos has Owen ahead by only 1 point, with Hoffman gaining 9 points since Gov. Palin's endorsement, with Scozzafaba losing 9 and Owens losing 2. There is still time, if we all make another donation it will be a big help.
BTW, there is a poll regarding Sarah Palin and Levi Johnston.

So far
There are leaders in the charge and then there are those who come in to bayonet the wounded after the battle is over.
voted..
He is a sitting governor. That's the only rationale I can come up with.
Agree, the third party candidate, Scozzafava, should drop out and stop taking votes from Hoffman ; )

What's your opinion of Sarah?
Mostly positive? 48%
Mostly negative? 43
Neutral 9
What's your opinion of Levi?
Mostly positive? 74%
Mostly negative? 19
Neutral? 7
You know that poll question just rubs me the wrong way, this is part of the legacy of thirty years of day time t.v., any view no matter how aberrant is right and should be respected, except for
traditional values which have to be mocked; hence all these lies.
Voted. Results as per hrh.
if hoffman wins i think sarah would be smart to endorse marco rubio, and watch her power bring rubio to the lead.
It's a wonder what putting on a pair of dry Depends will do for your outlook on a situation.
What is a Huckster?? Is it like a huckaWEEEEEEEEEEE ??
Being “pro-choice” is a euphemism for “pro-abortion.” If you are willing to make a “choice” you have to be willing to accept abortion. You can’t hide behind the words.
Good man, Sapwolf. Thanks for the excellent info.
Hey NRCC!...Who's Your Daddy???
Sapwolf, that is awesome.
Isn't the 10th Mountain Div in Watertown ? It was reserves for a while and then I think it was activated in the last 20 years or so. If military presence, you'd think that would bode well.
Hey Nancy!
Good Job!
Mia,
How ya doin'?:)
Gosh, what a day, its been great, Sarah, Sarah, Sarah!!! Wow, can the media get enough, if Hoffman wins, Sarah and the conservative party wins, that would be great, expecting great things from our lady guv from Alaska!
Sarah 2012!
Keep it going, Sapwolf!
You and all the Palin Power Army, are in my prayers!:)
God bless you all!
Great!...With this Post...hehehe...
um... first I am not "hiding" behind anything.. I have already stated that there are many who say "pro-choice" but are in reality "pro-abortion". I am not one of them... I don't believe in late-term or partial birth abortion... unless the mom's life is in danger. But I am not pro-life, I am pro-choice, which means I accept and respect that decision, either way to be up to the family.
CharterOakie
I believe you were asking for info about offices/phone numbers for Hoffman... if you go to doughoffmannforcongress.com it has all this info.
I noticed you trying to steer AJ clear of certain people, on an earlier thread. It was a sad display!:) Ordinary Barbarians see right through you! Just accept that you are one of the looniest of the bunch. Ya know!:) It comes it is displayed with all your wacky avatars. So......:)
I voted and Levi was 74% NEGATIVE!
Sapwolf,
I'm going to post what you wrote as an update. I hope you don't mind.
DB
O/T
Pedro has at least two daddies so far tonight: Tex and Godzilla. And A.J. is dominating.
Talkin' about Game 2, of course.
That is the most negative I have ever heard Beck talk of Sarah. She needs to require all interviews stick to the books.
Newt
Thanks for the info, and YOUR COMMITMENT, Sapwolf! (Read your post on the other thread first, so disregard my request for info.)
Thanks.
Yes.
Thanks for the explanation...otherwise...huh?
Give us a Daily update if you can.
Here's another quote from Perry about the Guv's endorsement.
Perry Expects Endorsement from Palin
Updated: Thursday, 29 Oct 2009, 6:47 PM CDT
Published : Thursday, 29 Oct 2009, 6:22 PM CDT
Texas Governor Rick Perry told reporters on Thursday that he expects an endorsement from former Alaska governor Sarah Palin later this month. Earlier this week his opponent, Kay Bailey Hutchison picked up an endorsement from former Vice President Dick Cheney.
"I like my chances in the endorsement race,” Perry said. “Whether it's all the conservative groups that have endorsed me or the associations that have endorsed me. If it was a world series game Senator Hutchison would probably call it in the 7th inning.”
Perry said he expects Palin to come to Texas to campaign for him later this year.

LOL!...Beehive...
Ya Bill it was Camp Drum now Ft. Drum home of the tenth. The original 10th was an incredible group of guys, met quite a few in Vt.Wasn't Bob Dole briefly in the 10th?
http://doughoffmanforcongress.com/home.html
sorry... I posted the wrong website above.. this one has all the phone numbers/office info.. etc
Is anyone watching Grey's Anatomy? They keep using the phrase "Going Rogue"
Everytime one of them say it, I start laughing.
Thanks for the update Sapwolf and keep up the good fight!
YES!
Sapwolf, great job, everyone here is proud of you! Sorry Ainsley isn't there. Megyn Kelly is from Syracuse area I think but she is home with the little one.
LOL!...Beehive...but... Newt is the Grandpaaaaaa...
Tim C, don't know about Bob Dole.
Now I remember, I was there to evaluate the 10th when they were reserves and I was a 1LT (stationed at Ft. Lewis).
I love the Reserves and later was in the MDARNG for 3 years.
I was reading on #TCOT report blog about ACORN trying to cause trouble in NY 23.
DEVELOPING: Reports that ACORN is moving into 3 counties in NY 23 to stir up electoral trouble
My prayers are with all the Doug Hoffman supporters and workers so that this evil org cannot do anything to this race and election.
Thank you SAPWOLF for putting your feet there and working this for the good, Blessings.
Pawlenty is NOT currently a sitting Gov OldDude...
Yep, I got Levi's #s backward. Sorry!!
Mostly negative 74%
Mostly positive 19
neutral 7
yes he is...
good line if sarah is called "unquailfied" in the deabates. All she has to say is "your right! I am not qualified to put our country into trillions of dollers in debt, high unemployment, hang out with radicals, or apologize everyday for a nobel peace prize.
Oh yeah. My bad. That would make the Mittster the daddy.
In the big one WWII the Germans said of the 10th " they only leave bones behind". The 10th was truly feared kinda like somebody we know,SARAH.
http://www.tcotreport.com/
Has a lot of info on how Dede got the nod for the nomination. very interesting and very scuzzy politics. Things never seem this cuthroat here with your neighbour to the north.
Yes, Ft. Drum is a big issue. Doug is against any earmarks for Drum where the money is coming in UNDER the table, but is for funding of Ft. Drum as part of our Defense Spending or any ABOVE the table project-funding.
What I especially like about Doug is that he doesn't make BS promises he knows he can't keep. He's a pretty straight shooter it appears.
Right you are...hehehe...
Yes, Yawnplenty is still the governor of Minnesota.
Though you would be excused for not knowing that since he did NOTHING to stop the Franken stealing of the Senate seat and was virtually SILENT about that whole situation.
And because he spends most of his time out of the state going around working on his presidential campaign and appearing on TV talking about national issues.
Precisely what Sarah mentioned in her resignation speech about lame duck candidates who stick around collecting a paycheck but not doing their job ...
EXACTLY! You read my mind! Thats exactly what she should say everytime it is asked of her! Just say im not qualified to add trillions to our debt!
Been looking forward to hearing from you, also glad to hear a positive report, from someone on the front lines in Watertown NY. GOOD LUCK
sarah rocks 2012
I don't mind.
TPaw is still the gov of MN. He decided not to run for a third term, so he's essentially campaigning for himself on the taxpayers dime.
Oh how true that is. My bad.
Then that would make Mitt the mack daddy!
I think that will be the next BIG endorsement where there is a distinct difference between the estatblishment GOP choice and the libertarian/conservative base.
This is wiki on Dole
In 1942, Dole joined the United States Army's Enlisted Reserve Corps to fight in World War II. He became a second lieutenant in the Army's 10th Mountain Division.
In April 1945, while engaged in combat near Castel d'Aiano in the Apennine mountains southwest of Bologna, Italy, he was hit by German machine gun fire in his upper right back. His right arm was also badly injured. As Lee Sandlin describes, when fellow soldiers saw the extent of his injuries all they thought they could do was to "give him the largest dose of morphine they dared and write an 'M' for 'morphine' on his forehead in his own blood, so that nobody else who found him would give him a second, fatal dose."[5] He had to wait nine hours on the battlefield before being taken to the 15th Evacuation Hospital. He began a recovery that would last until 1948 at Percy Jones Army hospital in Battle Creek, Michigan, where he met future fellow politicians Daniel Inouye and Philip Hart. His right arm was paralyzed; Dole often carried a pen in his right hand to signal that he could not shake hands with that arm.
The hospital where he recovered from his wounds, the former Battle Creek Sanitarium, is now named Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center in honor of the three former U.S. Senators treated at the hospital: Philip Hart, Daniel Inouye and Dole himself.
Dole was three times decorated for heroism, receiving two Purple Hearts for his injuries, and the Bronze Star with combat "V" for valor for his attempt to assist a downed radio man.
Nice guy, but he makes Romney look charismatic by comparison, if you have a problem with insomnia, he'll cure that right up
Didn't she already officially endorse him?
Sapwolf,
Thanks for the update and for taking time to campaign for Hoffman!
Rubio will win. He is a remarkable guy, as people get to know him they will be impressed. Sarah will support him, but the primary is a long way off, slow but steady for now, off to the book tour in 2 weeks!
I read that and he put sneeewtie in his place.
I had no idea he was still Guv...THANKS for the info buddy!! I really thought that just because
he is galavanting around like he has no job...like obummer (fascist in chief) did for years as a
"senator"...makes you SICK doesn't it...
Sapwolf
Doug = straight shooter, that's awesome.
That's a great thing Doug is doing and you as well.
Thanks for the update, wish I could be there.
Well....Sorry James I don't agree with you at all. But, there is too much going on now that is good news I don't want to have this discussion. I just want to welcome life-long dem. We can discuss this that at a later date if you want. But, please not now. thanks
tim c, thanks for the research on Bob Dole. Many many kudo's for his
service.
Ummm...results as per hrh #2. (Pay attention, C.O.)
This tsunami is still in the water receding stages.
Some of the elites are still standing on the beach, watching in wonder, not understanding what they are seeing, or the danger they are in. If they don't move soon, they will be swept away, by the inevitable tidal wave that will come crashing down.
That was cheesy. True. But cheesy.
Soooooooo....The NRCC...Keeps throwing money at DDAY...but...welcome's...
Doug with Open Arms...HUH??????
That's what I though and it has been reported that she would campaign there sometime next year. Is there something in the water down there?
Hey...Lip...I'm behind you...You go!
He's never in MN so he really is not a sitting governor. HeHeHe
I love Cheese...;)
I would love it if the Gov. campaign for an actual conservative for the IL senate race. We have the male equivalent of Scozzafabba in RINO, Mark Kirk.
Hey, Mia, doesn't Brian get nauseous going around in circles like that
More like steal the election.
Poor Brian...He's a bit perplexed at the NRCC...He'll figure it out...;)
Well done, hrh.
Sarah already endorsed Rick Perry, months ago..I believe like 4 months ago. She already said she will go to Texas and campaign for him
LOL!!!!
Very interesting reading and a total decimation of Newt's public proclamations to date. I think it is particularly telling at the end of the story where the author details the numerous attempts to contact Newt to tell him what he had uncovered and correct the record but has heard NOTHING from Newt.
Newt has hurt himself on lots of levels with this one! Wonder why Maroun didn't take up the Conservative offer?
bpk1300, good link, from which I watched the Susan in Glendale video, "the Obama Health Care Smoothie", it's very funny, I mean, depressing
Maybe he meant formal endorsement like a FB posting. : )
If I were still deep in the heart of Texas, I would help you, Lipstick.
God.bless.Texas.
Hey Lipstick...I bet I can find an avatar...That Barfs!...What say You?
I kid, Brian is still the smartest one in the family, Stewy is smarter than Peter, but you know what they say about 'in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king'
Crist is a RINO!!
Sarah 2012!
Yes, Ms. Scozzy should do the noble thing and back out of the race to support Hoffman.
Mia-- I just caught up on the earlier threads. I have a bone to pick with you. You spewed your lies about me being a troublemaker when I am completely innocent. I'm hurt. :(
Narcisco that's true but what about politicians do you like?
That's why Hoffman is running.
Thats right Lakerfan Sarah was down in texas in June, I believe thats when she gave her endorsement Mr Perry.
sarah rocks 2012
AK- right on!!!!
Sarah 2012!
Oh Boy...Here we go...
We simply need more Conservatives to fill those "smoke-filled" rooms and making decisions for the GOP. How can we get this to happen?
Geeeeeeeez....Okay...MY apologies...Buuuuuuuut...YOU LIE!
At first I didn't think Palin's endorsement would help a whole lot but I can see it really has...stunning absolutely stunning!
Just seeing who's alert, Mia ; )
Pedro Martinez (Phillies) gave up HRs to Mark Texeira and Hideki Matsui ("Godzilla"); and A.J. Burnett pitched a dominant seven innings for the Yanks, giving up only one run.
Ok, ok. I'm not innocent of all accusations of sarcasm and orneriness, but I'm not the instigator. The rest of you sarc sisters are the instigators.
hmmmmm....
Sarah blowing the smoke away from her pistol, "where to next, guys" ?
welcome.
This is a large table.
there is plenty for everyone.
I am here to support Sarah.
anyone who supports and defends her is my friend, no matter what you believe.
thank you for being here
sapwolf,
thank you for going to Watertown to pitch in.
I respect you very much.
be safe.

The full O’Reilly segment including the segment with Glenn Beck (Foxnews 10/29/2009)
I'll help in Houston!
lol@ NRCC.....Wake up and smell the CudaCoffee, GOP.
Hi C4Pers!
Long time lurker, first time poster ;)
Reluctance to post for at least 2 reasons :
1) I'm Israeli, not American, and I don't like to, well, 'interfere'... 2) self-taught english (so I'm counting on your charitable hearts for any missplelling, unappropriate use of words etc).
That said, hugely worried about this Administration because I truly love your country and your people, one of the most decent, courageous and merciful people on earth. And I mean it. About Sarah Palin ? A God-sent, the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm in awe, I tell you.
section9 (I'm a huge fan of your posts btw - so thought-provoking) :
I've got a question about this sentence :
"You'll see less hostile leaking from the House Side of the party about Sarah"
If Hoffman wins, which seems now a likely possibility (who would have thought 7 days ago?) especially if Scozzafava drops out and endorses him, it is true that Sarah will become a superstar, as you said elsewhere.
So now, don't you think that she should set the record straight once and for all with the Beltway Boys, i.e. that she also must be protected by the 11th Commandment, can count on the solidarity and respect of her peers, that the backstabbing era is over forever, and that if they want to use her clout, they will do it on her terms and not on theirs? Just respectfully asking because what a friggin' asset this woman is!
I'm saying this because you must probably remember this: http://tiny.cc/yyVwz
She had just announced her resignation and I was a bit stunned by the "preemptive dismissal" (sort of) that she got from Christie, without even having any contact with his team. As if she had the plague or something ('radioactive', 'divisive', you get the point). So I don't think that we should see "less hostile leaking" but that she should be adamant about no leaking, no dissing, no backstabbing at all.
O/T (and certainly NOT my favorite one)
I wanted to raise a point about The Punk (I mean Levi) (and your posts about him).
I think she couldn't care less about being seen as an unfit mother. Sarah is free, strong, very confident, she knows who she is and she she doesn't give a damn about the others' good opinion, as she said once. As long as it is about her, she laughs it off. But the children ? Other rules (Cuda-rips-face-off).
That said, there is nothing histrionic about this woman: she knows that she is under intense scrutiny and she thinks (and not feeling only). And I'm pretty sure she is setting up The Punk.
What The Punk said: "You know, if she’s going to go out there and say things to me, about me, I’m going to leak some things on her. I mean that’s just how it is." (boo freakin' hoo). This is a clear thread (future blackmailing? I hope everyone realise that he doesn't have to have anything to say to become nevertheless a big annoyance: he can fabricate, and 'they' - the media - will swallow everything with glee).
What she said (I translate in a far less classy stance) : "You sleazy little whore. And now that I've trashed you, put up or STFU".
IOW, instead of running away, she's doing precisely what he clearly said she shouldn't do, unless she was looking for trouble. LOL
For there is a second part in this interview. And they will ask : "So now what do you say?" If he's says nothing, he's alinskied-rule 456456. If he says something (ie. if he makes things up), he's burned. Game, set and match : Palin, Sarah. Because I don't think for a second that she would hesitate to sue his butt off. The people who think that she would never do that are the very same people that [...]

Now Gelston,
Being an RN, there's something about that "Handwriting bill" that I kind of like. I really don't see anything wrong with it actually. lol
hrh...Yawnplenty...good one!
Terri,
I really do understand. I have worked with one Doc for 20 years and still can not read his writing.
I now type all my notes at the hospital and in the office.
God bless Dragon voice recognition software (I used it for the note above).
Yah, let's remember that Fred and Dick Armey were on the ground before Sarah got there. Let's give credit where credit is due.
No. I disagree. Crist not only did due diligence for her and McCain last year, but went all out to help them try to win Florida. That's not how you pay back someone who helped you. Florida was simply another state in which the Indies went for Obama big time. There was, literally, nothing Crist could do about it.
I like Marco, I think he will win the primary, but Sarah should not get involved right now. Crist has done nothing negative towards her as KBH has in Texas. Her stance must remain rigid neutrality.
