Tina Fey, Palin voter??!!
Update: might be a hoax, folks. Stand by for confirmation. The good news is: Tina Fey is still on the White House Christmas list. I repeat: Tina Fey is still on the White House Christmas list. The bad news: I just lost my journalistic credentials. Then again, journalistic credentials are sooo 20th century. Right?
Say WHAT?
Tina Fey, who only recently confessed before David Letterman's national television audience that she didn't have sex until she was 24, is outing herself again: she admires and respects the woman she imitates, Sarah Palin. And is teetering toward voting for Palin should the former Alaska governor run for president in 2012 [My emphasis, JL].H/t: GA Hanson
"Please don't tell Alec Baldwin," Fey pleaded. Baldwin is Fey's co-star on the Emmy award-winning show 30Rock. "He threatened to move to Canada if George Bush got elected. Of course, all he wound up doing was being so frustrated that he wound up yelling at his 11-year-old daughter in that famous phone call. Another crime against humanity Bush is responsible for."
Fey admitted that Palin has done things Fey has only dreamed about. "She was the 'barracuda' with high cheekbones who competed on the basketball team. I was an Arthur Treacher's deep-fried cod who, oh forget about it.
"Those who can, do. Those who can't, mock those who can," Fey said.

A truism worthy of etching on a rock.
These people may have been once decent but Hollywood and the hold of progressives on Hollywood is so great that they have to demean themselves to get work at all. That is why it is imperative for conservatives to fight for and take charge of cultural institutions, not just governmental institutions.
WHOLLY CRAP BATMAN! Right after Palin was on SNL...Tina said she would not continue the role except for the skits already slated...because Tina grew to Like her the night she was on....
We will see what the future holds on keeping her word.
Wow. Sarah's ability to encourage and motivate people to be honest and open about what's in their hearts, both good and bad, is breathtaking. Her courage and goodness inspire or convict.
More and more decent people will come out and declare their support for her. And more and more corrupt bastards will wish they had made better choices in life as they behold her example.
Thanks for this VERY interesting bit of news, JL.
Wow! Everyone read the whole article. It's actually quite good. She isn't particularly happy with Obama either:
"And Fey is worried about Obama's maturity. "I don't know. Yeah, he went to Harvard, but he doesn't seem to be smart enough to realize that you can't jam the cotton-swabbed stick of health care revolution down the throats of the American people. And at the same time the rest of the world loves him because he hasn't demanded anything of the rest of the world. He couldn't even get the Olympics in Chicago," she said."
I can see Tina Fey's (potential) change of heart from my laptop. :)
Confession: I loved Tina Fey's impersonation of Sarah, because it was so realistic (in her looks and mannerism) but also because it was so over the top and made you appreciate the real Sarah Palin (my hero).
Plus, it was really liberals laughing at themselves.
I also saw it as simply being satire, since there really is nothing at all about Sarah to deride, she's so wholesome, happy, etc.,
I never saw it as being vindictive or vicious as it always was with Bush.
Looks like Tina may be off the Hollywood invite list . . .
Well I guess I may have to may to bury the hatchet, depending on what her performance does seem like after Nov. 17th. But I beg to disagree, it portrayed her as weak, not particularly intelligent, and not terribly attractive either, with the last sketch with McCain, portraying her as
manipulative and greedy
Unless someone has video of Tina Fey saying this on Letterman, it's a joke, folks. Read the whole article. It's a joke, I'm positive.
This wasn't from Letterman. The first sentence mentions a statement that she made on Letterman, but the rest of it must be from an interview.
I agree, though, there is reason to be suspect, but I'm going to be cautiously optimistic for the time being!:)
Wow, she even ripped Alec Baldwin and stuck up for Bush?
I remember during the election, she confessed that she voted for Rudy G. for mayor but she told all of her Hollywood pals that she didn't. She also said if Rudy was the nominee, she'd vote for him, but wouldn't tell her friends that she did. She said something like "I'm a mom and Rudy makes me feel safe." Her parents are Republicans and she grew up in a Republican household.
It's clearly a joke, people. Check the blogger's other entries. One says:
"The number of Bingo players could grow sharply as the result of the Vatican's epochal decision today to add another free space to Bingo cards.
At press conferences in Rome and London on Tuesday, Vatican officials also announced that any time anyone makes Bingo on 0-67 that the winner will receive an autographed baseball from former White Sox catcher Ron Karkovice, who used to be urged by the announcers to "hit a little bingo," and indeed he was hitting for an average of .067...BINGO!"
It's satire. Good satire, but the last paragraph of this "Tina Fey" article should give it away.
Tine now sees socialism from her house!
TIna has now moved the Oprah interview up another level
Yep, you're right. Clearly the article is a joke.
If it's true it will be all over the place within hours. Let's wait and see before we write it off
Yes, folks. It's for real. Tina Fey really did say all that. And my best friend is Catholic, and he and his wife say their church really does do that at Bingo games.
Why are people so cynical anymore?
Out-of-character: Of course it's fake! People are lazy and unthinking. They not reading the whole thing and not researching a source before mouthing off. I won't speculate too much, but I'm guessing that Joshua Livestro pulled a little funny here on people. While I respect a good joke, I worry about doing that on things like this, since I know most people can't spot it off the bat and won't research it. I'm betting this report has already entered at least a half-dozen mass emails by now.
I suggest such jokes in the future have, "(SATIRE)" added to the title.
I like Tina, I like 30-rock too, it's ok. But The Office stinks, they just can't be funny, they have to be stupid (not) funny
Eh, everyone slips up now and then. Go look at the DailyKos sometime for bzillions of moonbatty (((***BREAKING!!!11!1111!!***))) diaries. That's why I pointed it out above (I'm the other "guest" that mentioned this upthread... lord I hate this new comment system! I'm such a luddite!).
In truth, I'd posted this to my FB, then clicked the link to the source blog, then was like "Ah, this blogger clearly just wants to be the next Onion writer," took it off my FB, and then commented here.
Hey, at least it gave me a good line to use against Palin-haters: "Those who do, can. Those who can't, mock those who can." Satire or no, that line is full of win.
i think she is joking for one. I mean she goes on to make fun of her nick name barracuda, etc. I don't believe her.
I knew that was a hoax the minute I read the reference to the infamous Alec Baldwin phone call. Fey would never, EVER talk about that. (I would, because I think it was disgusting and borderline abusive, but Fey wouldn't.)
It's a joke. Even if she thinks that way on some things the woman would never say it.
I immediately thought this was a hoax, but had trouble registering to make a comment.
Wouldn't good judgment advise that you just take the post down? It's not even newsworthy. The original post reads like gossip, anyway. Why debase this site? It drags down the other posts.
She is a comedian guys. Don't take anything she says seriously.
Remember: nothing is official from Tina Fey unless you read it in The Onion.
Hoax.
Well, even if TF's rumored support proves to be a hoax, what I said above is still true. It's up to Tina which category she wants to be in.
Alert! Alert!
Sarah Palin fans don't agree on everything!
I'm just the opposite of you, Bill. I find 30Rock offensive, the Tracy character is disgusting, and the humor is often crude and rude.
The same thing could be said of the The Office, but I find the irony and satire much more palatable. I think the cast works very well as improv. And Jim and Pam's great normalcy anchors the whole show.
There is no anchor for me on 30 Rock. Fey is s'posed to be it, and she's prob the best on the show, but I can't really take the rest of 'em.
End Alert!!
I still like Tina Fey as an actress, but Jeanne Garafola (sp), not so much (actually, puke !)
I think my excitement about the potential of this story blurred my abilitiy to recognize satire. I'm disappointed in myself.
I wrote on this at the time of the Obama Peace Prize.
The left's control is not only the government but also institutions such as Nobel Committees and the doctors' AMA.
hrh
>>"don't agree on everything"
- unless it has to do directly with Sarah :-)
Well, I think I watched 30-rock once, maybe twice, as a follow-on to The Office. I don't even know who Tracy is, I suppose he's the guy you opposite you in boxing class . . .
Yes, The Office is more palatable, they just do a lot of stupid stuff, they could be much more funny without being crude and stupid.
And Pam and Jim's normalcy is amazing. Pam's rant on Michael for dating he Mom was really authentic, Pam giving Jim the evil eye because he knew about it (and he was basically being honorable, but it was hilarious as a guy who has, uh, been there done that), and Pam and Jim fighting and then making up was cool.
What do you think the libs' reaction is on the Tina Fey story, before they realize it's a hoax ?
Maybe Tina will have a Juan Williams moment, like when black commentators called him a "porch boy" (or something like that), and he didn't take too kindly to it.
The thing is, most of what the article said about Tina I bet is 100% true, especially as it regards Sarah. And the health care comment was right on too, kind of like "death panels"
this article certainly must be taken with a grain of salt.
I will not be able to quote my source and still get to work. I read about 6 months ago that Ms. Fey and Mrs. Palin had become friendly and conversed several times after the election. I would think that they much respect if not like each other if the became phone friends.
That still does not mean Ms. Fey said this

God bless The Palin Family today.
Joshua, we forgive you . . . even Michelle Malkin got caught up in the Balloon Boy craziness last week.
Eventually hollywood will reject Obama's marxism for a purely selfish reason "pay cuts".
Fey is a die hard liberal so I call this a hoax too.
Hoax, Hoax, Hoax!!!!
Hm. I am kinda speechless. If it's true, it gives me hope that most Americans DO have sense enough to have an open mind about people they may not agree with 100% (maybe her conservative in-laws have been 'explaining' the virtues of Gov. P to her at the dinner table??). I would also go back to being able to watch 30 Rock in a more lighthearted manner because, well, Ms. Fey is actually a quite talented writer and I used to enjoy her work.
If this is a hoax...I'll just go back to being a head-shaking, tsk-tsking right wing nut.
oops, they pulled the Tina Fey article, wonder if comments still work ?
Nope, don't believe it. Tina Fey is a liberal sheeple. She will do whatever Hollywood tells her. This article is clearly satire.
the satire was written as if Tina was a rational person.
Want some real entertainment: watch Tina disavow the article, that should be intellectually stimulating . . .
Confession: I did too. It is satire. It is parody. It's freakin' funny! It made me laugh. Especially I knew that Sarah was so much better :)
The last sentence is what convinced me it's a joke.
The guy who wrote it all admits it (at comments on site):
"what i'm really shooting for, i think, is the skin of The Onion, that is, a certain no man's realm. how should i put it? perhaps a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. it is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. it is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination."
I will forever be amazed by the gullibility of conservatives.
