Governor Palin Motivates Mothers to Launch Their Own Political Campaigns
From Fox News:
Sarah Palin is keeping a tight lid on her political ambitions for 2012, but her influence on other would-be politicians can by seen by the growing number of women she has inspired to seek public office.
The 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate's conservative philosophies and her folksy, hockey-mom approach to politics have galvanized other mothers to launch political campaigns -- at all levels of government -- aimed at reducing big-government spending.

Patricia Sullivan, a mother of four who is running in the Republican primary to take on Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson in Florida's 8th Congressional District, says Palin's authenticity and rejection of Washington elitism inspired her to launch her own political run.
"She is real America," Sullivan said in an interview Wednesday with FoxNews.com. "She's brought more recognition to the fact that moms can do it all."

Lisbeth "Liz" Carter of Atlanta is planning a run for the Republican nomination to battle Democratic Rep. Hank Johnson in Georgia's 4th Congressional District. She said Palin possesses a quality that many career politicians lack: common sense.
"Her views are simple and basic," said Carter, a 40-year-old mother and CEO of a small consulting group that assists private companies in executive recruitment. "She's a leader who inspired people to step up and say we've had enough.

great read. its about dag gone time that Gov. Palin started getting some positive coverage on what she has added to the political landscape, esp for women!
This isn't the first time, last spring two stay at home moms in AZ, who are members of Smart Girl Politics won local elections. SGP is a very Palin friendly group.
Joel Mowbray after the election found that the primary reason the McCain-Palin ticket lost was that CONSERVATIVE VOTERS provided the margin of victory for Obama and not a marked increase in black or young voters with 1/5 of conservatives who voted for Bush in 2004 defecting to Obama with the biggest defectors being 'conservative-leaning independents, 'Security Moms' and Roman Catholics.
As the recent polls have shown Sarah is starting to do very well in the first group, her interviews on Oprah and Bawa should help her with the 2nd and as to the third Rome wasn't built in day. Give her time.
The liberal elitists who still think Sarah is dumb haven't been paying attention to what strategy has been in who she has given interviews to last week.
Oprah and Bawa: women voters especially suburbanites
Rush Limbaugh: skeptical conservatives in the base
Bill O'Reilly: foreign affairs gravitas
Dennis Miller: libertarian types
Sean Hannity: independent conservatives (Sean calls himself a conservative rather than a Republican)
Hey techno!
Hope I wasn't coming across the other day as critical of your polling data when I said i was polled out!... your great at it!
I just don't like the tediousness of trying to figure them out... Im lazy that way, which gets me to this... when you explain them like above I love IT!
I had the good fortune when managing a large construction oriented organization to fill positions of supervisory and management, and in doing so was able to break some glass ceilings of Neanderthal thinking associated with women's positions in Major Highway and road building Industry.
The good fortune wasn't necessarily me in my position, although I guess I did have something to do with it because i was tired of the perception women were not supposed to be in construction... with that said, the good fortune I mentioned, was that come time to make these decisions I HAD SEVERAL EXCELLENT QUALIFIED WOMEN AVAILABLE!... in other words I didn't have to make-It-up and make-it-fit some quota!
I had observed those women trying harder and tolerating bias from the good old boys.. thinking It was theirs for the taking and all they had to do was show up. I knew if given a chance they would not only make believers out of the Neanderthals but it really wasn't doing the same Neanderthals any favor by coddling their egos. Im a rather small 5ft 6in guy relative soft spoken... not something associated with burley construction men and their macho-ness... so I had some what of a difficult time proving myself.. working harder and longer to be noticed for my own capabilities and eventually leading to my Managerial position.
Im not in any way saying I had as difficult a time as women but to only say I definitely experienced and recognized a form of discrimination based, not on ones ability, but past that's-the-way it had been done.. you don't LOOK the part!
My life experience has always proven true... look at the individual, respect where they come from, and try to see their heart... to me an underdog always gets a second and third look...I hate preconceived Ideas.. especially dealing with Gods precious resource... His Children!
Funny!... I just figured out why Im so drawn to Sarah... she Is me!
