Huffington Post: Palin "not really American"; Updated: Dunn Smears Lynn Vincent Too

It's two days and counting until the release of Gov. Palin's blockbusting megabestseller autobiography, and the left are in mental meltdown. As in: completely. How else to explain the following piece of garbage, published on the Huffington Post by 'award winning journalist, filmmaker and historian' Geoffrey Dunn in his 'The First Ten Lies from Going Rogue':

2. The Subtitle: An American Life. Aside from her infancy, Palin has really spent very little time outside of Alaska, and according to John McCain's campaign advisors, was shockingly unfamiliar with American geography and American history. "Alaska," as John McPhee noted in his resplendent Coming Into the Country, "is a foreign country...Its nature is its own."

Yes indeed: they've run out of things to say, so they start attacking her claim to be an American. Of all the filth published about Gov. Palin, this is right up there with Chicago-based Wendy Doniger who used her Washington Post 'On Faith' blog to declare that "Her greatest hypocrisy is her pretense that she is a woman."

Mr. Dunn, congratulations. In what was already remarkably shabby discourse by the left, you just managed to lower the tone even more. I hope you're proud of yourself.

Update by Doug: (H/T Josh Painter) The remarkably incompetent Dunn, who has a history of shoddy research and distortion when it comes to Governor Palin, also wrote the following in this piece of garbage for internet tabloid Huffington Post:

1.The Cover Byline: Palin didn't write the book by herself. Most books with known ghostwriters list their co-author's name on the cover. In this case it was Lynn Vincent (a well-known homophobe). Going Rogue does not.

Geoffrey Dunn, as is his custom, is either too lazy or incompetent to research his bizarre musings. He is simply repeating the "Lynn Vincent is a homophobe" line originally promulgated by obsessed Palin-hater and self-taught gynecologist Andrew Sullivan. In a recent article for Big Hollywood, Lynn Vincent herself takes on this non-starter:

I know a little about what that’s like. In late September, HarperCollins announced that it had bumped up the publication date for Sarah Palin’s memoir, Going Rogue: An American Life, to November 17. As Sarah’s collaborative writer, I suddenly became a target (the left having running out of original ways to insult the former Alaska governor herself.)

Andrew Sullivan, who blogs at The Atlantic’s website, read my arguments in favor of traditional marriage, and summarily crowned me a “fanatical homophobe.” Others, to use Perez Hilton’s term, followed suit.

Had Sullivan bothered to reach out for a reasoned dialogue, I might’ve shared with him that my sister Lori, an articulate, politically active lesbian on the progressive left, has had with me some pretty productive discussions on gay marriage. That for me, it’s about more than “the Bible tells me so”; it’s about the collision of the First and Fourteenth Amendments.

I might’ve shared with Sullivan that the maid of honor at my wedding was my best friend, CM, and her longtime lesbian partner.

Hmmm. Mr. Dunn likes to proclaim that he won some kind of journalism award. I wasn't aware that journalism awards were given for fiction. It would seem that his qualifications for a journalism award are on a par with Obama's qualifications to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

Boy the liberal haters are getting increasingly scared......can you smell the fear.....it has a definite stench.......in fact, I think I just detected the order coming through my computer.....lit a candle....called angel whispers....reminds me of Sarah

GAHanson,  November 15, 2009 8:55 AM

Dunne is the guy who earlier this year trolled Team Sarah, making screenshots of racist remarks posted by other trolls, then ran a lengthy story about how TS was seething with racism, etc.  Right after Gov. Palin's book deal was announced, Dunne announced he was going to write an anti-Palin book that would be released at the same time, spring 2010.  The early release of Going Rogue caught little Geoffrey without his crayons sharpened yet.  Among all the lowlifes who contribute to HuffPo he is at the top or would that be the bottom, of the heap.

Maybe because I don't follow the MSM anymore, maybe its because I saw so many insults like this hurled towards Hillary Clinton.

To all the conservatives on the board, I am truely ashamed of what my party has become. These people act like the and main litmus test for women's right's is abortion rights, IT IS NOT!  I cannot express the disgust I feel towards these people.  I saw the same thing over and over again against Hillary (and it hurt deeply), and to my surprise I saw people like Ann COutler, who I did not like before, defend Hillary against these vile sexist attacks.

The more they attacks Sarah Palin, the more they are attacking me, not just as a woman, but as a average working america-loving American.  The elitist MSM has openly declared war on the American People, now its obvious, even a lifelong democrat like me can see it.

What a pathetic wretch, Alaska is very much what America used to be, the last corner of the frontier, as big as Texas in size and in spirit.

I would not be surprised to learn that Mr. Dunn and The Huffington Post were behind the attacks on TeamSarah just so he could write about it in his book. They were not smart enough to figure out they would get caught.

Clinton: Would look forward to coffee with Palin

WASHINGTON — Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton says she would be happy to talk to Sarah Palin over coffee.
In an interview for broadcast Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press," Clinton says she's never met the one-time GOP vice presidential hopeful and former Alaska governor and thinks it would be very interesting to sit down and talk with her.
Clinton was responding to a question about a passage in Palin's new book. Palin writes that if she and Clinton ever meet for coffee, "I know that we would fundamentally disagree on many issues." But Palin says, "my hat is off to her hard work on the 2008 campaign trail."
Clinton, in Singapore for a meeting of world leaders, says she's ready to have a cup of coffee and maybe she could make a case on some of the issues on which the two women disagree.

Both the HuffPo and Democratic Underground were involved.  People running Team Sarah website tracked most of the trolls back to those 2 websites, pointing out that both had posted instructions to their people to infilitrate TS.

Gov. Palin gives credit to C4P

Sarah Palin: Really? Still Making Things Up?

The book tour starts this week, and I look forward to it! I'm most looking forward to meeting many of you, shaking your hands, and telling you,"Thanks for loving America." I'll give you a scoop here and tell you what's on the book's Dedication Page – it's dedicated to you – Patriots – who love the U.S.A. as much as I do.

Amazingly, but not surprisingly, the AP somehow nabbed a copy of the book before it was released. They're now erroneously reporting on the book's contents and are repeating many of the same things they spewed during the campaign and afterwards. We've heard 11 writers are engaged in this opposition research, er, "fact checking" research! Imagine that – 11 AP reporters dedicating time and resources to tearing up the book, instead of using the time and resources to "fact check" what's going on with Sheik Mohammed's trial, Pelosi's health care takeover costs, Hassan's associations, etc. Amazing.

We'll keep setting the record straight, and we'll keep reminding some in the media that Americans are very tired of their non-objective reporting. A great, recent post that accomplishes this is a Conservatives4Palin post. It's got some nice fact checking included. As always, they did a great job holding some of the media accountable for spreading more misinformation and for making things up. You can <span>read it here</span>. Enjoy!

And I can't wait to see you! God bless the fight for freedom! Keep up the great work, Patriots who love this country.

- Sarah Palin

Whitney,  November 15, 2009 9:20 AM

Wow! The Huffington Post just insulted about 675,000+ Alaskans!

What about our President who spent most of his formitive years in Hawaii and Indonesia? Hawaii had only been a state for, I think, 3 years when the President was born. Then again, he probably wouldn't have ever used the term "American" in the title of one of his books.

Deidre,  November 15, 2009 9:22 AM

Interesting.....I wouldn't trust any e-mails actually.  They can be edited before forwarding.  Not that hard to do.

In any case, she actually went on SNL so she must have decided it would be a good decision.

yogi41,  November 15, 2009 9:25 AM

The President is off the hook because he spent so much time during his adult years denouncing America, so he's allright in their eyes. And don't forget: he claims he's a "Citizen of the World". See how that works? It sounds so much better than saying "American". (do I really need to add the sarc tags here?)

Mia,  November 15, 2009 9:26 AM

Hey Dunne!....Tiny...Adjective...hmmmm...

I was just checking out Obama's bow to the Japanese emperor touted as "The Grovel Seen Around The World"

Question:  What's left for him to do when he meets the Communist Chinese Leader who is Obama's financial benefactor?

Crawl across the floor butt naked and lick his shoes?

Another Palin book coming out, by my count this is at least #36:

Palin Nation: Changing America From Outside the Beltway

panchita,  November 15, 2009 9:34 AM

aside from scraping his head on the floor obama also shook hands with the emperor, a definitive no no in bowing etiquette as you are not suppose to make physical contact.

You can see by the look on the emperors face what a tool he thinks obama really is.

panchita,  November 15, 2009 9:36 AM

Hillary on MTP today asked today about afganistan, china and regarding an excerpt in Sarahs book where she mentions having coffee with Hillary.

Hillary agreeable to such a meeting. Can you imagine that, a failed VP candidate one year later, the subject of meet the press.

Recovering Democrat,  November 15, 2009 9:39 AM

Hillary has never attacked Sarah. I admire that. I think she and Sarah truly have respect for one another. I'm so glad Sarah suggested coffee with Clinton, and I hope they have a chance to meet at some point.

Like I've said before, we need to give traffic to positive website that debunked the MSM lies about Palin.  Let the Huffington post site die a slow death like the liberal print newspapering business.  Only then will they learn to be fair and impartyial in their stories.  Until then, I do not go to their website and want to see their crap about Palin. I support Pro Palin websites and publications so that the truth about her can get out.

Good morning barbarians!!!

Huffpo, I LOVE it!!!  I couldn't be happier that this is the meme they want to go with.  It shows ALL of America that they are in full meltdown crossed into the absurd mode!!

My neighbor is a big democrat but admits that Sarah has been crucified.  She thinks Sarah is a whiner but I disagree.  However, she mentioned this article before I had a chance to jump on here and see it.  She was shocked!!!  She thinks her party has now lost its mind.  Her words were "there are so many other things you can say about Sarah but this one is not one of them"  Even she saw the absurdity!!

On another note, Bill O'Rielly was on Fox and Friends this morning talking about his interview with Sarah.  He said one of his questions he wants to know is why does Sarah think they have come after her in the way they did.  They didn't treat Geraldine Ferraro this bad.  He also mentioned he spoke with Katie Couric last Friday night to ask about her view of what happened in "the interview".  He said Katie's response was very interesting.  He also mentioned that the interview will be on Thursday, Friday and Monday.

Is it now live??

panchita,  November 15, 2009 10:03 AM

Nancy: thought of you when i heard this quote from axelrod regarding Going Rogue <span>“I think the president is pretty busy right now. I don’t know that that’s on his immediate reading list. He’s reading reams of paper… I’m not sure that’ll be at the top of his list right now.”</span>

I don't think he's reading reams of paper right now he's using reams of paper while reading Going Rogue.

Money Maven,  November 15, 2009 10:05 AM

Yea ......but do we need to provide easy links to get there. I say do like some of the talk shows hosts and don't name them. Rush never calls out Frum by name whenever he is attcking him. When HP says something incredulous about Palin, there are 10 other little known websites who are working to debunked it.  That's the only way conservative bloggers are going to take over liberal bloggers.

Case in point: AP has millions of readership.  But when Mark Steyn did the debunking of AP facts on Sarah, I was happy to read the story from there.

Anyway, I see your point on opposition research.  But I still maintain I see a bigger role when I come here to read stories.

Many sites are just using negative stories on Palin in the hopes of increase their traffic.  Expect the HP to come out with even more outrageous pieces.

From their home in Wasilla to the Northern Slope, I would say that Todd's commute to work would get you from middle America to just about every state in the lower 48.  It's not like you can get to another state easily from Alaska by just jumping in your car and driving less than 10 hours.

All I see about these various posting are about what they see as character faults rather than what she has accomplished or what she has said about Obama and Congress. The "fact checking" was done by the opposition, but the counter offensive takes off later next week when everyone gets the book and is able to correct them.

QQ - What will be the biggest thing next weekend on the various networks??  I would bet it is Sarah.

Oddsmakers - Since Sarah is going to Ft Hood, can Obama be there on the same day?? Place each of them at different places on the base and see who gets the largest crowds.

Nancy,  November 15, 2009 10:12 AM

Does anyone know if Huffpo EVER mentions Huckabee?

Via Media Matters....On two shows in October, Mike Huckabee directed viewers to go to balancecutsave.com, urging them to sign a petition telling Congress to balance the budget, cut their spending and save American families: however, balancecutsave.com redirects visitors to Huckabee's PAC.  Petition signers were required to give e-mail adresses.  They then received donation requests from Huckabee's PAC which also pays his daughter, Sarah Huckabee, a salary.

Way to go Huckabee...taking lessons from Obama?....weren't you a former pastor?...tricking viewers to get an e-mail list for donations....Shame on you....Greed and Political Power Ploys won't get you any more support...Can't you depend on your loyal Facebook followers?....All ???? of them....Mikey, Mikey, you've been a very baaaad boy!

yogi41,  November 15, 2009 10:54 AM

And that furthers the question: If Sarah Palin is not American, shouldn't the Progressives be embracing her? You'd think they'd be singing her praises and welcoming her into the fold.

katiejane,  November 15, 2009 11:04 AM

The supporters of an empty suit who regularly shows his disdain for America have the b*lls to say that Palin isn't really American?  Talk about a stretch.

Obama never passes up an opportunity to show how little he thinks of the country he spent so little of his formative years in.  Didn't he just call himself as the "Pacific President?"  I must admit that I'm inclined to agree with him - he isn't really the American President.  He wants to be the world citizen, the first black President, the European suncophant, - everything but someone who puts America first.

BetseyRoss,  November 15, 2009 11:08 AM

I am just loving this weekend.  I was somewhat depressed on Friday and AP's "fact checking".  It was obvious that they were trying to dampen Sarah's roll out.  The Huffington Post with their "Sarah's not an American" is just plain juvenile and stupid.
Sarah going to Ft. Hood is just what the doctor ordered.  Those poor folks need a pick-me-up and Sarah is the one to do it.  Of all the things that Obama has done to show us he hates us, the Ft. Hood fiasco is the top of his game.  It's obvious that he doesn't care about the troops and does not hold American institutions in high esteem.  Sarah, on the other hand..............well, what can be said that isn't the obvious?
I can't wait for BOR's interview.  Hannity's too.  Rush and Sarah are just going to be awesome!  I do want to hear her talk about policy.  Levi just isn't that interesting.
My hope for Bristol is that she meets a wonderful, young man that cherishes her and her child.

Sarah Palin takes aim at vegetarians in Going Rogue

Besides addressing her views on the McCain campaign and the media, Palin, a passionate Alaskan hunter, takes aim at vegetarians. Palin states, “If any vegans came over for dinner, I could whip them up a salad, then explain my philosophy on being a carnivore: If God had not intended for us to eat animals, how come He made them out of meat?”

Bristol also has learned much over the past year.

There's more to guy than what he looks like in a pair of jeans....or in Levi's case, (and we'll all find out soon), what he looks like out of a pair of jeans...lol

Seriously, she's beautiful, has handled herself maturely through out this whole Levi business and I'm sure she's a good mom. There are probably guys lined up outside her door...:-)

Now that I know that Sarah lurks around here...

Deep down maybe hillary wants to help bring down the messiah. A good bookend to her career!

I hope Sarah supports whatever position the Administration takes on amnesty.  Call me stupid, call me dumb, but I honestly believe this would be a smart move for Sarah.  I live in Calif. and I honestly don't believe there is anything that will stop the migration of these illegals into our country. Reagan gave them amnesty.  Sarah can add her desire to STRONGLY beef up boarder patrol.  If Sarah goes for supporting amnesty or even talks about it before the Admin. it will take the wind out of their sails and she will get support from all these illegals and their families just as much as OB does during any election.

OT...
I was over at WSJ reading about Sarah's trip to Ft Hood and the comments there of and came across this.....

"patriotparty1 Says:
November 13, 2009 at 1:09 pm
On local Houston radio 2 days ago a private from Ft. Hood called into the AM talk show on 950AM. Since then the host has verified just to be sure that the man was indeed an injured soldier so as not to be fooled.
Anyway, the private was with some others that were not critacally hurt in a ward. He called in to offer the “difference” between the visit from President Bush vs the visit from President Obama.
As you stated, no one knew President Bush was coming, he just showed up. WITH NO PRESS OR CAMERAS AT ALL! The private says that he spent a lot of time visiting with EACH soldier. He said he sat on the stool at his bedside for about 5 minutes and HELD HIS HAND and spoke with him. Then he did the same with the others. He said his words were heartfelt and they had a conversation.
Compared with the visit of President Obama. First off the private said was the advance team that he said made sure there was nothing on the bedside tables Obama did not want in the pictures. (like what a bible maybe?) Then he said a man who’s name he forgot came and gave them all a lecture about what they were ALLOWED TO SAY AND DO while the President was there. He said they could not speak unless HE spoke to them, and could not TOUCH him unless he touched them.
This guy you could tell was not left bashing. He said that Obama gave a prepared speech to the whole group, NO PERSONAL BEDSIDE VISITS. Then he went around and shook their hands, but still no words to them other than his prepared remarks. Then he left.
And that my friends is the difference. Just like the Dover visit. President Bush used to go a lot, but he never took the press with him. We did not know that did we until a couple of weeks ago.
The difference between an American and a foreign pretender is VERY obvious is’nt it!"

You can say what you want about GWB but his love for the military and speaking from the heart was certainly one of his strong points.

Can only imagine what this visit  would have been like with Sarah as CIC. hmmmmmm.

As a staunch Hillary supporter, oh yes, the attacks against were some of the most vicicious and disgusting I have ever seen in my life.  And MOST of them were coming from the supposed "Party of women"... THE UNDEMOCRATIC PARTY!

and to my surprise after on Air America, some radical lunatic called Hillary a "white whore", it was Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter who defended Hillary against these disgusting attacks. They didn't defend her policies, I have no issue with that, but they defended her against these disgusting sexist remarks. ALL THE WHILE THE DNC STOOD SILENT!

I am pro-choice, but I agree with Sarah on her energy, fiscal, pro-growth, pro-America policies.  I am still a registered democrat, but in name only, I have no loyalty to them anymore, after spending over 25 years as a loyal democrat (only time I voted repub was for Ronald Reagan, and Sarah does remind me of Reagan a lot, and why I as a democrat loved and supported Ronald Reagan!)

This is why Hillary dems like myself can staunchly support Sarah Palin and feel so protective of Sarah!!  (Hillbuzz did a great story on this as well... they as gay hillary supporters absolutely support sarah palin.)

Sapwolf,  November 15, 2009 1:10 PM

I try to communicate to those moderate Dems that are still pro-abortion that Roe vs. Wade is still the law of the land.  To overturn it, it would have to be challenged via a case before the Supreme Court and in effect overturned concluding that the right to abortion does not exist in the Constitution.  It would then simply go to the states to decide the issue absent a federal law or Constitutional Amendment determining when the right to life begins.  In that absence, the states would then ALL pass their own abortion legislation and the tension might lessen at the national level as the fight for life would be taken to the states where many states would put varying degrees of restrictions or expansions.

I believe that Roe vs. Wade WILL be overturned some day.  When it is, states will dust off the already written legislation.  CA, MA, and NY will allow it up to seconds before birth, whereas AL may only it in cases of life of mother and/or rape/incest, etc.

It really is not a national issue for Congress or the Executive branch outside of Supreme Court Justices and even then it simply goes to the states.

"MADISON, Wis. — When Sarah Palin burst onto the national political stage, there was a lot of talk about her distinctive way of talkin', you betcha.
She moved to Alaska when she was too young to speak, and grew up in the small town of Wasilla — so why did she sound like someone from the movie "Fargo"?
Three University of Wisconsin-Madison linguists have determined in a research article to be published in the Journal of English Linguistics next month that her speech was heavily influenced by the people who settled the Wasilla area in the 1930s from Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan.
It also says that Palin's speech stood out to many because she used more informal words, like "darn" and "heck," than most politicians."

There is nothing stopping any other state from passing a similar law which continues to allow abortion within their state. I think the pro-abortion people want to keep the dollars coming in and maintain their jobs. It is an industry like racism.

People can say what they want about  Barbara Walters(I am not a big fan of hers) but she is an excellent inteviewer. She gets into the substance, the real story. Oprah is more about tabloidy kinda stuff..Oprah's interview wont be as interesting as the barbara walters interview in my opinion..you can already tell by the snippets that walters will be a more intriguing interview

Sapwolf,  November 15, 2009 1:45 PM

Pardon me.  That one is a Barnes and Noble near that intersection.

Lakerfanalways,  November 15, 2009 1:47 PM

Will remove it right away

Lakerfanalways,  November 15, 2009 1:48 PM

<span>Oh, everyone should check out another clip from Barbara Walters interview with Sarah..its about a 30 second clip, barbara asks her about those McCain staffers and she really goes after them, saying basically they were trying to save their own asses .

Sapwolf,  November 15, 2009 1:50 PM

Yep.  That's why I was initially for picking a Veep earlier so they could gel as a team.  It was amazing how incompetent McCain was.  I actually think he would not have made the best POTUS due to his lack of executive experience like Obama.

This here is from.Paul Weingart;
"I watched the full-court Press against Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush, and frankly, those pale before the assault on Sarah Palin. It’s just another slime piece in a year-long deluge of slime pieces, from two organizations — the Associated Press and the New York Times — that have, sadly, given themselves over to hurling slime for their political masters." POLITICAL MASTERS!!!

Reminds me of the rules around royalty -- don't touch, don't speak unless spoken to.  Is that what Obama thinks he is?

AP News Flash

Senator Clinton and that Awful She-Devil from the North Sit Down for Coffee Summit.

Hillary: I'd like to take you up on that coffee offer.
Sarah: Okay, but it has to be someplace without any reporters.
Hillary: Ooh, Barak's out of the country, let's use the oval office.
Bill kept a key. He likes to go there sometimes and sit in the big chair.
Sarah: okay, but...Bill's not gonna be there is he?
Hillary: No don't worry this is my weekend.
Sarah: Oh good 'cos he kinda gives me the willies.
Hillary: Yah, me too.
Sarah: Okey dokey artichokey
Hillary: Hey, that's my phrase. I think we're going to become BFF's.
Sarah: You betcha, wink, wink

Recovering Democrat,  November 15, 2009 2:09 PM

Maybe they're in cahoots with Dede, who is now a sworn Palin enemy. LOL

Sapwolf,  November 15, 2009 2:12 PM

John, no hard feelings but we are not Obama birthers on this site.  You might want to delete and repost.

Narciso-

I'm not so sure about that. His father was mostly absentee, if you'll recall.

I think we underestimate the climactic importance of the General's Coup in his early upbringing. Sukarno, by 1965, was irretrievably corrupt. Yet he maintained the false face of Third Word nationalism (along with Tito, Krishna Menon, and others) to keep both Moscow and Washington dancing a jig. The Army's move against the PKI (conducted with the blessing of the Imams, I'm sure) was a thoroughgoing and bloody affair, and done with the aid and cooperation of the Johnson Administration. Mother had to have been affected by what she saw. Sukarno did <span>become a puppet of the Right and the Army after the purges, kept on only with the blessing of the General Staff after the Chinese bid for influence was turned back. </span>

<span>No wonder the CIA is kept on a short leash. This is a man whose skepticism of the wisdom of the use of American power is ingrained, imho.</span>

Just wanted to get my former Dem self on this thread... ha! I was a former Democrat before Sarah came along, but I spent last fall entirely on the Hillary Clinton forum with the PUMAs. And I can attest that there are a TON of Democrats for Sarah.

RINO-Hunter,  November 15, 2009 2:16 PM

LifelongDem,

Just be sure to register as a Repub before the next primary so you can vote for Sarah.

section9,  November 15, 2009 2:17 PM

Please. If you want to hang around here, understand that Birther Rotgut isn't tolerated. It's sort of like Andrew Sullivan and his Trig Truth. It's John Birch Society stuff. Take it somewhere else.

<span>Alaska not part part of America!!!</span>

It's gonna cost a lot of moola to re-write all those school books for America's little ones. Oh well...we'll just use part of that TARP money, that's the ticket.

Sounds like he thinks he's royalty or something. Does he make people walk backwards when they exit so as to never turn their backs on him?

Sounds like something my brother grew in my mom's Boston Fern when we were growing up ...

Now they're writing research papers on how Sarah's talks? LOL ... yeah, she's a flash in the pan!

Recovering Democrat,  November 15, 2009 2:56 PM

No matter what Sarah says, somebody on TV will say it is "unpresidential." Because by their standards Sarah is "unpresidential" so anything she says will be labeled as such. I love the fact that she is keeping it real. People attack her marriage in tabloids and talk about her getting a divorce. She has a right to respond. And why we love her so much is that she responds as a HUMAN BEING, not a political ROBOT who calculates everything as to whether it is UNPRESIDENTIAL.

At least Sarah doesn't have a foul mouth, from what we know about her. I think almost every president right on down to Obama uses unpresidential language. Where was the outrage when Obama called Kanye a "jackass." To me, THAT is unpresidential.

Ya, Newt is searching for relevance but finding none. The old insiders and a few guys like Hannity and Rush give him a break but his voice is weak and growing faint. Palin,Bachman,DeMint have taken over the right without any radical or outrageous statements, just honesty and American values.
