Leadership: Governor Palin and our Military

A few days ago, the nation experienced a tragedy. Men and women who have committed their lives to the service of their country were gunned down by one of their own. Some of these soldiers may have braved the dangers of war on foreign soil only to come home and be murdered.

I, like all of you, am horrified that 13 lives have been lost and 30 injured. Families have experienced overwhelming sadness, communities have been rocked, and the Fort Hood Army Base in Texas is left trying to pick up the pieces.

As is fitting, the President of the United States offered his condolences concerning the tragic shootings. I was jarred by how he initiated his comments. At first I thought maybe it was just me, but after blogger Ron Devito forwarded an article to me, I realized that it wasn't just me. I have had some time to think about this.

I will preface this by saying that it's never an easy task to address hurting people, much less a hurting nation. However, I simply cannot fathom the manner in which our president opened his remarks at such a somber gathering.

He began by thanking the Department of the Interior for the organizing of a conference. Then at :33 into the video below, he stated the following, causing me to scratch my head in complete bewilderment:

I hear that Dr. Joe Medicine Crow is around, so I want to give a shout-out to that Congressional Medal of Honor winner. Good to see you.

A shout-out? That's the kind of comment one makes at a rally perhaps, but certainly not when you've come to the podium to express condolences.

He continued his remarks, not yet addressing the shooting, and made a promise that the work begun at the conference would continue. At this point, 1:12 into the video, the attendees can be heard applauding and whistling.

Going on, he said:

...I plan to make some broader remarks about the challenges that lay ahead for Native Americans, as well as collaboration with our administration, but as some of you might have heard, there has been a tragic shooting at the Fort Hood Army Base in Texas.

He mentioned the shooting at 2:03 into his comments.

When I think about the gravity of what brought him to address the crowd, I simply cannot wrap my brain around being so cavalier about it all. The cheering in the background during his promise, I believe, was just a reflection of the president's attitude. The people responded in kind. He was light-hearted. They were light-hearted. They followed his lead, it appears.

No doubt, President Obama wasn't trying to be insensitive. However, I am not the only one who can't help but wonder where his advisors were and why he didn't know that opening comments about Dr. Joe and a conference were not appropriate when someone has just attacked our military.

Robert A. George of NBCChicago.com wrote in an article called Disconnected President:

Getty Images President Obama didn't wait long after Tuesday's devastating elections to give critics another reason to question his leadership, but this time the subject matter was more grim than a pair of governorships.

After news broke out of the shooting at the Fort Hood Army post in Texas, the nation watched in horror as the toll of dead and injured climbed. The White House was notified immediately and by late afternoon, word went out that the president would speak about the incident prior to a previously scheduled appearance. At about 5 p.m., cable stations went to the president. The situation called for not only his trademark eloquence, but also grace and perspective.

But instead of a somber chief executive offering reassuring words and expressions of sympathy and compassion, viewers saw a wildly disconnected and inappropriately light president making introductory remarks. At the event, a Tribal Nations Conference hosted by the Department of Interior's Bureau of Indian affairs, the president thanked various staffers and offered a "shout-out" to "Dr. Joe Medicine Crow -- that Congressional Medal of Honor winner." Three minutes in, the president spoke about the shooting, in measured and appropriate terms. Who is advising him?

[...]

Did the president's team not realize what sort of image they were presenting to the country at this moment? The disconnect between what Americans at home knew had been going on -- and the initial words coming out of their president's mouth was jolting, if not disturbing.

[...]

If the president's communications apparatus can't inform -- and protect -- their boss during tense moments when the country needs to see a focused commander-in-chief and a compassionate head of state, it has disastrous consequences for that president's party and supporters.

All the president's men (and women) fell down on the job Thursday. And Democrats across the country have real reason to panic.

Governor Palin, however, did demonstrate compassion as she responded to the tragedy--not trying to be deep, long winded, or light-hearted. With simple heart-felt sympathy, she released these words via Facebook:

Todd and I would like to offer our condolences to the families of the victims of the tragic shooting today at Fort Hood. Our thoughts and prayers will be with them.

- Sarah Palin

Governor Palin also demonstrated her appreciation for U.S. soldiers and her sorrow at the Fort Hood tragedy on Friday at Wisconsin Right to Life. Before doing anything else, reported K. Carpenter, the governor honored them:

As she stepped to the microphone when the cheering began to die down, the Governor’s first thoughts were on America’s military forces. After asking all of our current military and veterans to stand, she asked for a moment of silence. She told us that during the moment of silence she would be saying a prayer and invited us all to do the same. After the moment of silence for the soldiers currently serving at Fort Hood, she immediately thanked our military personnel for their service to a raucous round of applause and cheers for our military.

I repeat, I don't believe President Obama meant to be insensitive, and probably didn't even realize he was being insensitive. But that's part of the problem. He, no doubt, is as saddened by this tragedy as the rest of America. His handling of it, therefore, illustrates not so much a lack of concern as it does a lack of leadership.

Governor Palin's love for our military is without question. She has always voiced true concern for our men and women in uniform and has advocated for their support. She wraps that concern in leadership ability, effectively communicating to the American people on their behalf.

The sensitive manner in which she addresses tragic situations of this nature, which none of us ever wants to see happen, reveals within her what Robert A. George says should exist in a "focused commander-in-chief and a compassionate head of state."

We learn much about a person by observing how they lead in difficult times, and Governor Palin demonstrates a sincere heart of leadership when it is most needed.

Great post Adrienne.  The distinction between Obama's constant campaign mode and Governor Palin on this and other issues could not be more clear.

Speaking of our Military..This story has my BLOOD BOILING!

They would have to Court Marshall me before that patch would go on my arm!

Great post Adrienne.  The distinction between Obama's constant campaign mode and Governor Palin on this and other issues could not be more clear.  I agree with you that Obama wasn't trying to be insensitive...he simply doesn't know any better.

Andrew,  November 8, 2009 1:59 PM

Not only was the shout out childish and immature, HE COULD NOT EVEN GET THE INFORMATION CORRECT!

Dr. Joe Medicine Crow is NOT a Congressional Medal of Honor winner.  He's a Medal of Freedom recipient.  Obama gave him the medal JUST FOUR MONTHS AGO and he already forgot.

Obama is a MAROON!

Ernst,  November 8, 2009 2:00 PM

And it's under this 'insensitve' cloud that congress narrowly passed absurd health care legislation.  Some thing is just not right in America.

GAHanson,  November 8, 2009 2:03 PM

The fact that 0bama has no idea that the Congressional Medal of Honor is the nations highest award for military heroism and the Congressional Medal of Freedom, a civilian award, just illustrates how disconnected from the military he is.  Add that to his foot dragging, and indecision regarding Afghanistan, and you get a pretty good idea of the buffoonishness that prevades his administration.

Andrew,  November 8, 2009 2:05 PM

It's a Presidential Medal of Freedom, not Congressional.

BetseyRoss,  November 8, 2009 2:09 PM

President Obama is childish and insensitive.  He's a narcissist.  As things get bad for him, things are going to get worse for us.  It's obvious that Nancy Pelosi or Barack Obama have no problem making this nation fall.  Surrounding the Capitol has made no impression on him or her.  There appear to be absolutley no thinking people in that complex at all.  They do not fear us.  Apparently we may have to go to the next level, whatever that is.

RINO-Hunter,  November 8, 2009 2:11 PM

That civillian cop Kimberly Munley deserves the Presidential Medal of Freedom.  She ran straight at the terrorist with her gun blazing until she was too badly wounded to continue, hitting him four times and ending his murderous rampage.  She was it in both legs and the wrist, and was at serious risk of bleeding out due to one that hit the major artery in her leg.  I doubt, however, she'll receive it until President Palin pins it on her.

Ernst,  November 8, 2009 2:11 PM

and, it was obama who presented Joe Medicine man with that medal

M. Minnesota,  November 8, 2009 2:12 PM

It seems that this President views the Military like Chattel.

Recovering Democrat,  November 8, 2009 2:14 PM

For a commander in chief not to know the difference between the highest military honor and the highest civilian honor is pretty close to unforgiveable. It shows what an amateur he is. Furthermore, you don't call someone a medal of honor "winner", but "recipient." Another example of Obama's childishness.

blytheex,  November 8, 2009 2:23 PM

Adrienne, you amaze me.  Thanks so much for putting into words what many of us have felt about the strange way that our President handled this very sad day.  I saw him begin the remarks and got so angry that I did not even watch to the point that he finally got to the fact that we had already known about.

When the Financial melt down happened, Obama made fun of McCain for not being able to do two things at once in that  McCain stopped his campaign for a few days.  Well now we know HOW TO DO more than one thing at a time.  Not very well, in my book.

Adrienne Ross,  November 8, 2009 2:30 PM

If Obama believes that this is a single "Man made disaster" Can he then say Hasan acted "Stupidly"?

CruelaDev,  November 8, 2009 2:33 PM

Rhino.. You are right.. I doubt Bo Bo the Clown even knew where Fort Hood was located until TOTUS told him.

Whitney,  November 8, 2009 2:48 PM

I tried to look at Obama's response as objectively as possible, but just the fact that he made his condolences an afterthought is saddening. I understand that the other press conference was previously schedule, but, under the circumstances, I would have thought that he would have reacted with greater concern and sympathy. The Constitution, when outlining the roles of the President, first mentions the role of Commander-in-Chief, and a great amount of this second article is devoted to this role. To me, this means that this is the role that the President must take most seriously, not only in rhetoric, but also in action. President Obama said that he took this role very seriously, but his actions do not show this.

For comparison, although I disagree with President Bush on many things, he most definitely took the role of commander-in-chief seriously. He continues to do so:

Sorry but this is far from the truth. He did mean it. He does not care. There will be more attacks like this. How many more have to happen before people realize who Obama really is and to whom is allegiance belongs.

This so called president is a joke and pathetic. How can you possible believe he cares after the rabid indifference he's shown. What does he have to do come out with a party hat and a kazoo?

You all are good folks but it's time to think the unthinkable is happening to America.

Some updated info on Kimberly Munley:  The first thing she asked when she woke up after surgery was if anybody died.  Imressive that her first reaction was concern for the welfare of others. Also, she's married to a Special Forces soldier and has two kids with him.

I heard about this, but didn't get to hear him say it. It is strange to see the Fox headline at the bottom mentioning the shooting while you hear cheering in the background.

Obama should've started with, "Before we begin, I would like to express my deepest condolescenes to the families affected by the shooting in Fort Hood......."

Adrienne Ross,  November 8, 2009 3:34 PM

I already know the unthinkable is happening.  My point was his lack of leadership and insensitivity, not the motives behind his actions.  I am not going to say he purposely smacked the military in the face.  You, of course, are free to do so--which you do.

TSM Admin,  November 8, 2009 3:35 PM

Thanks Adrienne.  I'm torn on this and other incidents, does he just "make mistakes" in these things (from giving wrong DVD's to Gordon Brown to this speech), or is it that his adminstration has it's own agenda and this other stuff is just a minor nuisance, a distraction.  I gotta admit, I'm leaning to the second idea in most cases.  The Stimulus Bill was not about the economy as we see more each day.  It seems it was about giving money to various liberal organizations and effecting more controls here and there - as quietly as possible!  More control and who knows what in this Health Care Bill.  All these Czars, who knows what they are doing "off the radar" while media is trained to look at Cabinet Departments instead.  This is all the same thing.  Oh, I could go on and on!

CBDenver,  November 8, 2009 3:38 PM

I got home late and watched the news. They kept saying "we will be going to a press conference with the president shortly.."  I naturally expected to hear a press conference devoted exclusively to this tragedy.   Mentioning it in the middle of idle banter about a conference was completely tone deaf and clueless.

CruelaDev,  November 8, 2009 4:03 PM

AWESOME!

BetseyRoss,  November 8, 2009 4:04 PM

It's taken me a while to get to where I am thinking on this President.  We must understand that he is bringing this country down as fast as he can.  Apparently Nancy Pelosi is on the same page as she is the real power here.  He will not take instruction in anything including how to behave in the WH.  He has advisors, there is a protocol officer, he just doesn't avail  himself of their services.  He is Alinsky-ingy us double time because of Tuesday and Thursday.  Then this wacko starts shooting up his own guys and Nancy passes healthnoncare.   It started out as being a good week for us, but now it is really, really bad for all of us.  He does not react to pressure and neither does Congress anymore.  They just double down.  These people are not normal and it is beginning to get very, very scary.  We've already lost power.  They do not care.   We need to find something that they care about.  I used to think that they cared about being re-elected, but it doesn't seem that way now.

Thanks...

I agree with you, our President is LACKING on so many levels... if It's by his advisors then he's totally LACKING judgement by picking them and further by accepting their advise!... two hugh mistakes of leadership... and excuses are no acceptable... this is ELEMENTARY GOVERNANCE!

Im inclined to believe... having watched and seen him perform for a year now... that Obamas LACKING is not only the above two things but includes a DANGEROUS level of NARCISSISM for someone possessing the kind of power of the PRESIDENCY!

In OBAMAS case.... The office of the PRESIDENCY... is so high above his pay grade, it would be like looking down from atop the Empire States Building... and seeing where he should be on the street below!

Nancy,  November 8, 2009 4:39 PM

This instance of squeezing in his thoughts on the Ft. Hood shooting, between the remarks to this conference is another example of his lack of seeing anyone but himself.

How many times did he say I, me, or my in that Joint Session of Congress speech? 70+?

I am getting the impression that he likes being the President because he gets to have movie stars over to his house to get their autographs.

Also, don't forget that picture is worth a thousand words image, of him coming down the stairs of the White House, ahead of Officer Crowley assisting Obama's handicapped friend, Professor Gates, in the background.

How about date night to New York City? I can appreciate them going on a date, but how about down the street, and then when you miraculously resurrect the economy, then you can fulfill your promise to your wife of taking her to New York City, for dinner and a show.

What about, calling in the Republican leadership and gloating: "I won".

I think all of the apologizing he does for America shows that in his mind, America was wrong, was bad, was embarrassing, until he came along to "hope and change" it.

His massive ego, is why he cannot tolerate Governor Palin.
She makes him look bad.
There is no way that he thinks twice about Huckabee, Pawlenty, or Romney. That line that the media puts out there, that one of those dating game contestants (I don't know, that image just came to my mind), is the front runner, or that the Obama administration doesn't talk about Sarah Palin,  is laughable.
She not only takes the spotlight off of him, but she pantses him for all the world to see, at her discretion, at her whim, whenever she feels he is getting too big for his britches. She comes up behind him and pulls his drawers down. How did I get to pulling pants down? What is wrong with me.

I forget where I was going with this comment.
Although, him with his pants around his ankles does make me smile.:)

CruelaDev,  November 8, 2009 4:46 PM

OT:.. but Would Be FANTASTIC if they pull this off...

On The Glen Biegel Half-Hour Show on kbyr.com (5:30pm AK time) .. they are trying to get enough folks together in Anchorage to make a human sign as Bo Bo the Clown flies over next week.. The sign most popular right now is... "Drill Baby Drill"

CruelaDev,  November 8, 2009 4:47 PM

My sign would be more simple.. "FU"

GAHanson,  November 8, 2009 4:49 PM

OT, I took a look at B&N's top 100 best selling books of all of 2009, Going Rogue is currently #53 (it will most likely go up on Tuesday when they compute their sales through Nov 9th.)  But, it is #5 in non-fiction, trailing only Mark Levin, Glenn Beck, and Ted Kennedy.  I believe this is a huge accomplishment, especially since Going Rogue has not even been released.

Currently, Going Rogue is:

#2 at Amazon (#1 in non-fiction)
#2 at B&N (#1 in non-fiction)
#2 at WalMart
#2 at Target
#1 at Borders pre-release books
#1 at Books a Million non-fiction

I have seen some who have expressed concern that Gov. Palin's book signings may result in chaos because most of the stores don't seem to be preparing properly for what may be huge crowds, but this will in no way reflect poorly on Gov. Palin, matter of fact, it will show just what drawing power she has, and how others really underestimated her, again.  Matter of fact, having stories about how bookstores have run out of her book, and how the publisher was caught off guard by the level of sales, would be very beneficial, and would undoubtedly, increase the number of sales.

Just goes to show a Harvard education does not guarantee common sense.  I mean, if he had that, he'd be a conservative!  I agree; it's a no-brainer.  It should not take advisors to tell you that giving a "shout-out" is completely inappropriate.  Perhaps they offered no advice because they thought anybody with common sense would know that.  But again...

Betsey,

As Rush says..."it's all about power".  SO TRUE!

AS Pelosi and Reid and all the others at the capital pushing this healthcare bill through, all I can think of is how can they do that? By far the majority of the people in this country do not want this bill. The morons in congress don't care becuase it's really not the bill that they care about.
They're going to pass this bill just to "show us". Just to show those "unamerican teabaggers" and those idiot republicans and to show Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck ,Rush and all the others that loudly disagree with the president, who's in charge.
In other words they wanted it passed because the republicans et all didn't.

terri,  November 8, 2009 5:07 PM

With all do respect, why do you need ADVISORS to tell you how to handle this?
How about just being a compassionate human being...ya don't need "advisors" for that.

Adrienne,

Thank-you for this post. I have been speaking of both of these tragedys ever since I first heard of it. The on at Ft Hood and the other at the White House.

I'm an "army mom' with 2 sons in and the third on his way....:-(
My heart truely aches for the families of those soldiers gunned down "in the name of God".
It very well could have been one of my own.

What can you say about this CIC?
I used to loathe President Clinton for the way he used/abused our military, the morale during his term was the lowest ever....but this CIC takes the cake.

Whit,
Thanks for posting the "comparison" videos between Obama and Busch....It needs to be seen again and again.
Like you said, GWB may have been many things, but loving our military without shame and speaking from the heart was always his strongest points.

OR....how abaout a comparison with our present CIC and this one.....

"I planned on speaking to you on the State of the Union, but the events of earlier today have lead me to change those plans".....

Call me a cynic but IMO Obama came across as insensitive because he is insensitive to issues that do not personally affect him.    For all his supposed intellect he appears to lack true empathy for others.

JP,  November 8, 2009 5:44 PM

You forgot,
Obama needs a heart.

Adrienne,

Thank-you for this post. I have been speaking of both of these tragedys ever since I first heard of them. The one at Ft Hood and the other at the White House.

Like night and day isn't it??

PS..I fixed the link...;-)

JP,  November 8, 2009 5:51 PM

You know what's truly shocking??
I thought the same thing.
These times and events have made the unthinkable...possible.
I pray for our country and our way of life every day.

gelston the knowitall,  November 8, 2009 5:54 PM

these are some of the best posts that I have ever read on this site.
It is interesting how many barbarians had long and heartfelt and wise comments.
You people are awesome!!!

bpk1300,  November 8, 2009 6:00 PM

Why is it this has to be read a newspaper from the UK???  Where are the journalists with a set to take on this horrid jihad??
i am ticked.

eclecticak,  November 8, 2009 6:00 PM

The most shameful part of this whole sorry affair is the FORGEIGN media is trumpeting the 9/11 mosque/amam connection more than our own "free" and UN-biased press. Also, this matter of Major Jihad possibly being on Ommmmmbaba's transition Threat Assessment Team needs to be looked into MUCH more closely!

TSM Admin,  November 8, 2009 6:03 PM

BTW: At my office, one guy has a picture of GWB outside his cubicle.  Caption at bottom says, "Miss me yet?"

eclecticak,  November 8, 2009 6:04 PM

".....ummmmm, ah, someone got, ah, shot today.......um, darn, ah, shame, ah, it, um, it, ah, must be , ah, Bush's and, ah, um, um, the ,ah, gun's fault......"

Nancy,  November 8, 2009 6:06 PM

Well, there went all my Obama Czars post.
What an idiot.
With a capital "I", I am.

bpk1300,  November 8, 2009 6:18 PM

you know, i dont think that the bamster does anything by accident.  he has ice water running through his veins.  he is very cold.  he is indifferent to anything that does not put a focus on him.  even his wife is secondary as in the latin incident.  he knew exactly what he was doing with that little dance and knew he would make michelle very uncomfortable...

he is not going to the anniversary of the berlin wall because he was not allowed to have a rally there before his election.  he keeps track of slights and bides his time to push back.  he had this fort hood murderer as an advisor.  there was not regret on the bamster's part.

he is a man child who has to have his way or else....2010 cannot come fast enough.

Bestbud,  November 8, 2009 6:20 PM

eclecticak,

you need to get a Obama doll and go on the road as a ventriloquists!

Mia,  November 8, 2009 6:23 PM

Sprayed my screen Nancy!...You think???

Nancy,  November 8, 2009 6:25 PM

Obama needs a Compassionate Czar.
Obama needs an Others First Czar.
Obama needs a Take Him Down A Notch Czar (Governor Palin fills the bill for that one).
Obama needs a Don't Give A Shout Out After A Terrorist Attack Czar.
Obama needs a If You Think Our Military Men and Women Are Enchanting, Why Don't You Give Your General The Troops He Is Asking For, When He Is Asking For Them and also, Could You Be More Sensitive When 43 of Them Are Gunned Down On An American Military Base Czar.

A 5 letter word for Nancy.
It will take Joe Biden forever.
Here.
I-d-i-o-t.
No, really. 5 letters.

Pat in NC,  November 8, 2009 6:49 PM

I think Obama has the same disdain for the military that JFKerry exhibits so clearly. If he had concern for our brave troops who he tells stateside, I do not want to send you into harm's way (paraphrased) but he will allow those in Afghanistan to go without adequate numbers to support their mission. He will also keep their hands tied with rules of engagement that increases the risk to our troops because "victory" is not a word he uses for the overseas contingency. If enough come home in flag draped caskets he may have another photo op. They are still building the stage at the base so it is too early for O to travel to offer condolences and support for the injured and grieving families. That would be too private and it is evident that he loves being center stage.

Hi ADMIN:

Perhaps you should make the following your next post. Its from the HillBuzz Boys, how moderate/conservative dems  as well as indies need to join together with the conservatives and get the marxists and commies out of power.  We have differences when it comes to social issues, but we are in lockstep when it comes to the defense of the US constitution and the founding principles of this great land!

Nancy,  November 8, 2009 6:55 PM

Mia,
You said exactly what he says to me: "You think?"
For example we could be watching a Denver Bronco game, and they will run a play that they lose a bunch of yards on. And I will innocently say: Well, that didn't go well. Maybe they shouldn't run that play again.
And he will look at me and will either stare at me for a few seconds, with a look of consternation, to which I will say: don't ya think, or probably not, or I will shrug my shoulders, and then he will turn his head and stare into space ignoring me. Or he will say: Ya think?
Either one of his reactions makes me laugh, which was the point. I use his predicament of being married to me, for my amusement.

I feel like I am talking to a therapist. Was that too much information?:)

Whitney,  November 8, 2009 6:57 PM

Mia, I'm hurt!

CruelaDev,  November 8, 2009 7:07 PM

Just can't help yourself..HUH? :)

Pat in NC,  November 8, 2009 7:08 PM

President Bush and Laura have already been to visit the wounded and grieving and made certain there would be no cameras. W had faults but he respected and honored the military as they should be.

Mia,  November 8, 2009 7:12 PM

oh boy...here we go...

Mia,  November 8, 2009 7:21 PM

Nancy....I...uh...ummm...well....Yeah.....But...I have a great Therapist...
Dr Love!...have you heard of Him???.... ;)

BTW....Maybe you should talk to Whit...She tries to be innocent...But...
I know better....You though...are innocent... :)

Mia,  November 8, 2009 7:23 PM

I'm going to call you!!!!!!

Nancy,  November 8, 2009 7:28 PM

Mia,
Thank you for believing in my innocence!
And for listening to me!
You would make a great therapist.:)

ObaMao will probably invite them both to the White House for a beer summit.

Obama never had to care for another person. Remember he continued his campaign and went to see his "typical white" grandmother after she had passed way or aleast was on the edge of doing so. Can't expect any different now.

Denise J,  November 8, 2009 8:52 PM

Your - possessive
You are - you're  - contraction

This is eating at me big time.

gelston the knowitall,  November 8, 2009 9:03 PM

Bill in Baltimore,  November 8, 2009 11:11 PM

When a politician gives a "shout-out" to someone, they don't say "I want to give a shout-out to [so and so], they just comment on the person.

Who writes this stuff, an 8th grader ?

Bill in Baltimore,  November 8, 2009 11:18 PM

Adrienne,

awesome post. I think your future will endeavors will take a turn from teaching.

Adrienne Ross,  November 9, 2009 7:44 PM

Bill in Baltimore,

One of my friends thinks so, too.  Of course, she's saying that my conservativism will get me fired!  LOL!

Bill in Baltimore,  November 9, 2009 8:03 PM

Adrienne,
well, those two events would go hand in hand, lol (boo-hoo).
Had I been in your shoes, I likely WOULD have been fired. But you
handled it with amazing grace.

Adrienne Ross,  November 9, 2009 10:18 PM

Bill in Baltimore,

I love the idea of open doors to walk through, but I certainly hope I don't get fired first!  LOL!
