C4P Reader, Jim Forbes attended the run and got these great snapshots and put together a video:

Quizno's for Thanksgiving....wonder how many turkey dinners end up on the aunt's doorstep. It would be a long commute but I'd be glad to share my turkey with you and your family Sarah. Better yet, come by on Sunday....I'm making turkey gumbo. Mm..mm...good.

But Thanksgiving with family is a blessing. It's not what you eat but who you're with. Enjoy.

Thousands show up to wait for hours in the cold for a chance of getting a glimpse of Sarah Palin. I'm wondering how many of those people would have shown up to see Huck, Mitt, Tim, and Newt if all 4 were there at the same time? You know for a fact that 0bama/Axelrod had someone there reporting back to them, just as they do at all the book signings, speeches, etc., analyzing every word she writes, or says.

Lakerfanalways, November 26, 2009 7:12 PM

to answer your question..no one would have bothered to show up if it was Mitt, Huck, or Newt. they all came to see Sarah, which was wonderful because not only did they come to see Sarah, but they all contributed to this wonderful cause. I dont see liberals getting involved in helping people in need. They keep on yapping about how we have to help out our fellow man but I dont see them donig a damn thing, meanwhile Sarah and her family donated their time and effort to this cause when they could have just stayed at home and been together..now THAT is what charity is all about. Liberals could learn something from Sarah Palin, about how to be generous and caring towards others

John Kerry came to this area of Washington State for his famous sail boarding excusion.
I'll never forget those crowds. The media lined the river bank. :<)

Love all the videos! It's quite a geography lesson we're getting with this book tour!

Neo, November 26, 2009 7:52 PM

Well - Thank you. The 3rd one is mine!

James in Missouri, November 26, 2009 7:52 PM

Speaking of Mitt, Huck and co...haven't heard much from them. They laying low I guess?

ladydawnelle, November 26, 2009 7:53 PM

You've been a busy Pilgrim this day Neo! :-)

Neo, November 26, 2009 7:53 PM

John Kerry wind surfed 120 miles down river from here. Thankfully!

I am so happy today about so many things.

My wife Karen is my rock. That is not so much a thanks as it is an OMG how did I ever deserve this.
Thank you Karen.

Her son and their family gets us through the Holidays, and it is a joy to see Andrea and Carter and Cooper!

I am also so very thankful for FOX NEWS CHANNEL and all of its shows and personalities.

I am so very very thankful for Sarah Palin and ALL the patriots like her that show us the way forward in these times.
I was not lucky enough to get an autographed copy but I am reading her book now and it is a really great read. She is such a real person and a real American, with a Capital "A".

I have to borrow words from other people most of the time when I talk about Governor Palin but this time I just want to say how happy I am for her and I hope that she runs for President in the next election.

Happy Thanksgiving all ! Posted by Tom_Ohio at 4:45 PM

I try to never diss former Veterans but his elite yuppy yup lifestyle since those days has turned him into a weak kneed waste of MY vote. I let Gen. Clark talk me into that vote. I also let him talk me into checking out Hillary (he was right about her but wrong about kerry)

ladydawnelle, November 26, 2009 8:14 PM

if they were women they would be a sparkling GREEN glow right about now!!

LAW, November 26, 2009 8:31 PM

I had an unconventional Thanksgiving dinner, also - a Safeway turkey sandwich, pretzels, and Pepperidge Farm cherry turnovers for dessert. My wine was a Sobe Lean cranberry/grapefruit bottle. I had fun.

The Turkey Run looked like fun - *cough* for runners *cough*.

I had a sad thought after seeing the 3rd video. I know this was a group race, but something struck me. We all know when Sarah runs it helps to center her; prefers to run alone. I sincerely pray that with her continued rise in prominence she won't lose her special alone time runs. I pray people won't start running after her if they see her jog past. This is her time; not ours.

Oh, btw, it's the Tri-Cities, Washington for Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland. Sorry, but I'm anal about some things when it comes to my state. My dad was born in Kennewick back in 1920. He always said growing up the wildlife watching was for rattlers and more rattlers.

Happy Thanksgiving to Sarah's family and everyone here.

I got talked into Kerry also; never liked him. Swore no one would ever talk me into a vote again. Voted for Hillary, no regrets; will vote for Palin, enthusiastically. Hope you had a nic T-day Ladydawnelle.

M. Minnesota, November 26, 2009 9:50 PM

Mr Forbes,

Thanks for the slide Show!!!

Neo, November 26, 2009 10:09 PM

Thanks - I should have some video by Sat evening and some more video and/or photos on Sun.

She still runs alone. Her book closes with her thoughts while running of baking the kids a cake and showing Piper the way to Michican.

Can you let us know if Todd is there. It is starting to concern me. I know I am probably worried about nothing but he is normally always around.

TexMex, November 26, 2009 11:16 PM

Anyone else getting a kick out the local newsies spending so much time covering SarahP? I mean, they did a segment on her landing in the airport! I love this!

KeeleyH, November 26, 2009 11:16 PM

Todd has been home fixing the roof, according to Sarah. He and the other kids probably was joining the family in Richland for Thanksgiving. Todd doesn't have to be surgically attached to Sarah all the time. They have a great marriage and lots of kids. Often that means he takes care of things at home while she travels, and sometimes he gets to travel with her, too.

Evidently he was in NY with her at least briefly.

PEC, November 26, 2009 11:54 PM

I did. Just found odd he has not been with her including the run today. Yes I saw him on Walters. Oh Sarah was pushing a double stroller. Would that be Tripp and Trigg?

karenfromny, November 27, 2009 12:13 AM

I thought they were doing construction and if that is the case he might think it is more important to get that done before the winter hits. Better than the road trips. Just an idea...

karenfromny, November 27, 2009 12:16 AM

Also, if he is in the middle of construction, that is another reason she has Trig with her this whole trip. Makes sense

karenfromny, November 27, 2009 12:17 AM

How do you like the idea that they said it was a private jet?

gelston the knowitall, November 27, 2009 2:26 AM

this is one of the last undiscovered areas in the USA.
the last time that I can remember that we made the national news was when there was a case of mad cow disease.

onexsturtle, November 27, 2009 3:32 AM

Todd's probably still building the house. I think he'd rather be out there doing that too. You know men sometimes are when it comes to big family gatherings. He probably has to build it quickly before the first snowfall hits.

eclecticak, November 27, 2009 3:49 AM

This is Alaska, the first snowfall was WEEKS ago..... ;-)

eclecticak, November 27, 2009 3:51 AM

Alot of people are unaware that much of Eastern Washington is almost desert with oasises of apple orchards.

LAW, November 27, 2009 5:13 AM

Ladydawnelle, if you're talking about John Kerry I wouldn't worry too much about dissing him, at least from my families perspective. My brother was in the Vietnam War, also. I've never heard him say anything negative about people who were against the war. He considers it their free speech. However, when it comes to Kerry, he despises the man and everything on which he stands. It was quite a revalation the 2004 election and all of what he said.

Firelight, November 27, 2009 9:58 AM

Fixing the roof over Thanksgiving? No, I don't buy it. I don't think anything is wrong between the two but family should be together on Thanksgiving. I also didn't see Bristol or Willow.

KeeleyH, November 27, 2009 12:30 PM

Please, you guys, you are starting to sound like Sarah-hating rumor mongers. I know you all meant well, but all this talk is ridiculous.

Ok, I don't have the link, but I read an article that said Todd and the rest of the children (who weren't with Sarah on the book tour) were going to be joining the family in Richland for Thanksgiving. Not that it's any of our business what she family does, but there it is.

Also, Sally Heath said she was joining Sarah "on the first leg of the book tour". It sounds to me the family members are taking turns looking after things at home in Alaska. The extended family have been doing this for years. Todd will probably join Sarah at some point later while the grandparents hold down the fort in Wasilla. Don't forget Bristol has Tripp and she's working and going to college at the same time, so she needs lots of help, too.

Stop with this "I'm not buying it." and "i don't think anything is wrong" stuff. Why would there be anything wrong? Sarah and Todd have been managing their large family for years, taking turns to take care of things while the other is busy.

The movements and whereabouts of her family is none of our business and most certainly not our business what they should or should not be doing.

I'm more concerned that Sarah doesn't have a bigger staff. But even that is not my business, really.
