Good Morning All!

Oh MY! "Registered voters prefer Republicans for the House, 48% to 44%"

Via Gallup:

PRINCETON, NJ -- Republicans have moved ahead of Democrats by 48% to 44% among registered voters in the latest update on Gallup's generic congressional ballot for the 2010 House elections, after trailing by six points in July and two points last month.
As was the case in last Tuesday's gubernatorial elections, independents are helping the Republicans' cause. In the latest poll, independent registered voters favor the Republican candidate by 52% to 30%. Both parties maintain similar loyalty from their bases, with 91% of Democratic registered voters preferring the Democratic candidate and 93% of Republican voters preferring the Republican.

If you don't mind, I'll wait until the party's painted with a Palin brush before I jump on board.
I like my GOP...Bright, Shiny and New.

Obama and Democrats on a one way trip down...down...down.  It will only get worse.  If Dimocrats hope to ever become a viable political group they must purge the radical leftists just as the Conservatives must purge the Rhinos.  Time for real change.  Dims won't like what they are about to experience.

Madame 45.......she's coming.  America awaits.

Hello C4P Admin:

I am very happy to see you have HillBuzz as one on of your links on the side. I want to bring your attention to 3 posts that HillBuzz has written recently.  I am hoping you will do a main post about it.  I know as a recovering democrat myself, while we have social views differences with you social conservatives, we have much more in common when it comes to the love of this beautiful country and its founding principles. I know last year, when  I was campaigning for Hillary, some of the most vicisious sexist attacks agn Hillary came from a party that supposedly "stands for women's rights", and to my surprise, it was the conservatives who stood up for Hillary, not necessaryly her policies but the sexist attacks from the undemocrats.

It has forever changed my view of this party of democrats, and its not for good. I never want to be associated with that party again. [or either party at this point].  Those who stand up for the principles this country is founded on, they get my vote, party affiliation no longer matters.

And on this veteran's day, no amount of words or gratitude can ever be enough for those americans who stood up to defend this country and its way of life. I can only modestly say thank you, but it is a sincere thank you.
God Bless all those who serve and served and their families.

It's neither luck nor happenstance that we are the greatest most fortunate nation ever.
How could anyone not know this intuitively?

JeanA,  November 11, 2009 9:20 AM

We face challenging times with some hell-bent on tearing down our nation by perpetuating pessimism and apologizing for America. They suggest that our best days were yesterdays. But how can this pessimism exist? Proof of our greatness and pride is all around us today. We produce proud and great volunteers who sacrifice everything for their country. - Gov. Palin

Hillbuzz has become one of my "must-reads" everyday.  I can't say that I am even remotely a Hillary fan, but these guys are good responsible bloggers who seem to put principle over politics.

Mel:

I have been remiss in expressing my gratitude for all of the wonderful images you bring us each day.  They are spectacular!  I would love to frame many of them for my home.

I haven't been here as long as some, and perhaps you have touched on this before, but do you have a background in Photography?

Just a thought....

Perhaps you should could Governor Palin on a few of her book tour stops.  I bet you could capture some great pictures of her supporters and put together a Going Rogue Book Tour Photo Album for her and her family.

riley4palin,  November 11, 2009 9:31 AM

Mel:

That should say, "Perhaps you could join Governor Palin on a few of her book tour stops."

Sorry, its a little early yet.

Not a Hillary fan but I think we can/should/must find common ground with her fans.  As bad as I thought Hillary would be she would be the next George Washington compared to Medicine Barrack Crow.

A lot have complained and justifiably that Sarahs Tweeter page is too busy.  Valid point but you have to love the "Go Rogue with Sarah" Moose.  That is a T-SHirt in the making.

In Canada we call it Remembrance Day.  For all those who have served and are serving, my prayers, thoughts and respect are with all of you today and every day.  For those whose loved ones have paid the ultimate price, my greatest gratitude and deepest sorrow for your grievous loss.  Free people everywhere must remember these sacrifices and realize how dear and rare the freedoms we enjoy are in this world.  Everyone, especially those of you not in uniform, must protect our freedoms by keeping the faith, keeping hope alive and putting into place leaders who are willing to protect our countries from those who seek to take this hard-won freedom from us.

God Bless,

favill

Recovering Democrat,  November 11, 2009 11:22 AM

Thanks for the links to Hillbuzz. I love that site. They always stand up for Sarah. I was a lifelong Democrat, too, until 2004 ... and even though I have fully "recovered" (I'm pretty much a libertarian now) I still honor my Democratic roots. I am a huge Hillary fan, and supported her last year. I actually dually supported Hillary and Mitt Romney. Ha! I think the Clintons represented the centrist Democratic party that has now been taken over by raging Marxists. Even though I disagree with Hillary on many issues, I admire her personally, and felt she would help keep America safe. I don't think she would be so politically correct on this Hasan thing, but who knows ...

Since Sarah arrived on the scene, no politician (even Hillary) can hold a candle to her in my book.

jimr3,  November 11, 2009 11:38 AM

Good Lord, with all that is going on in our country and the world, Brett Baier of Fox News took time out to fact check Sarah on the “In God We Trust” coin issue. Will the MSM call this “coin-gate”?

riley4palin,  November 11, 2009 12:18 PM

My two cents:

I attended the event myself and read both K Carpenter's recap as well as Jonathan Martin's summary.  K Carpenter was the accurate one.

In regards to the coin story, Governor Palin never mentioned anyone by name last Friday.  Jonathan Martin assumed she was talking about President Obama and then created the narrative for his story that was then pushed forward on MSNBC and the other MSM talking heads.

I wasn't surprised that Brett from FoxNews mentioned this in his report last night.  He knew it was in the MSM vacuum and is always fair and balanced so he acted like a real reporter and stated what he knew to be true.

That said, my questions to the MSM and those who want to run with the Coin story that the Governor didn't have her facts correct:

1)  Why would Martin right away assume that Governor Palin was addressing the current Obama Adminstration in her address about the Coin story?

2)  Could it be that Martin himself doesn't take Religion and love of God all too seriously and felt offended that the Governor was discussing Religion at a Pro-Life event?  Why would he really be questioning it?  Governor Palin was in Wisconsin and there are a lot of voters like myself that are Catholic.  Many Catholics are Pro Life.  Many Catholics are Conservative Democrats too.  It seems to me she knew her audience and was trying to attract voters while expressing her personal views for her love of God.

3)  How do we know that Governor Palin didn't already know that the Coin was designed and approved by the Bush Administration and was actually really questioning the Bush Administration's decision of why they found it necessary to move the words "In God We Trust" to the side of the coin?

As we have seen over the last few years, President Bush was more of a Moderate Republican than a true Conservative Republican.  Therefore, I'm sure he had advisors that were more in the line of Ed Gillespie's way of thinking to make it a "Big Tent" Party and did not see a problem whatsoever in moving the "In God We Trust" to the side to attract more people to the party.

I guess we won't know until Governor Palin addresses this issue if its brought up in interviews (I'm sure someone will ask it because it was the latest item of MSM interest), but don't forget her book is titled "Going Rogue".

Why hasn't anyone had faith in Governor Palin that she knew exactly what she was doing the moment she told that story last Friday?  Was the MSM played like a fiddle once again?  Could it be a set up for the narrative of her new book?

My gut tells me that she will be addressing more of her concerns with the direction of the Republican Party instead of focusing so much on the Democratic Agenda in this first book.

She will leave the Democrat Agenda for the next book that I'm sure is already half complete.  :)

KeeleyH,  November 11, 2009 12:21 PM

I don't think she ever said it was the Democrats who approved and signed the bill, but everyone assumes it's about Sarah Palin the Republican vs. the Democrats. However, this is one misreporting by the media that Sarah should probably let slide and not dwell on. She wouldn't want to get into a national debate about this.

Bill in Baltimore,  November 11, 2009 12:28 PM

wtf.

have they not any thing better to do.

Sarah made a point - God is being pushed to the edge of society.

Rather than address her POINT they get off on a tangent.

Why can't they simply have a discussion on the point she was making.

KeeleyH,  November 11, 2009 12:30 PM

riley4palin,

This is kind of a trap set by the left. If Sarah or her supporters push too hard on the fact that she knew it was Bush the Republican who signed the bill, then they'll just paint her as a religious zealot who's even critical of GWB's "moderate" view.

Yeah, this misreporting is annoying, but I think we should let it go.

Bill in Baltimore,  November 11, 2009 12:37 PM

Fellow Barbarians,

can you all stop posting videos during the work day. I can't watch them at work AND I AM GOING NUTS !

riley4palin,  November 11, 2009 12:56 PM

Keeley:

"Religious zealot"?

That's original.

Just because someone believes in God and prayer, that makes them a zealot?  Okay, I guess I am a "Religious zealot" then.

The Liberals and the MSM do not scare me.

Having said that, it sure would be nice if the liberals showed more love to Christians on occasion than to a Muslim Terrorist who killed American Soldiers last week, but that is wishful thinking on my part.

It is time to "Stand Up for Our Nation"......hmmmmmm.....oops.  I think I may be channeling Governor Palin once again instead of a Moderate, RINO, or Liberal these days.

Hal,  November 11, 2009 12:56 PM

I'll post upward as well, but here are some first leakages about the book. Bear in mind, it's from Halperin...

http://thepage.time.com/whats-in-sarah-palins-book/

If true, I like the last one about no indexes lol. Looks like names will be named as well.

KeeleyH,  November 11, 2009 1:02 PM

riley4palin,

Please note that it is not MY view. I'm saying that's what the LEFT will try to paint her as. Sometimes we have to look out for potential traps, or we could ignore those traps.

Rasmussen daily tracking poll:

-10 (30-40) strongly approve-strongly disapprove

no change

-7 (46-53) approve-disapprove

Obama has lost 6 points overall and 3 points in his approval number in 48 hours-may have been his reaction to the Fort Hood incident or unemployment going over 10%.

GALLUP daily tracking poll
                                    F                UF
                                   51               42

A drop in 3 points in F and an increase in 3 points in UF in one day-for once Rasmussen and Gallup trend the same way.

techno,  November 11, 2009 1:35 PM

By the way if you missed it:

Rasmussen has the Republicans up by 6 points in the Generic Congressional ballot and today Gallup for the first time has the GOP up as well, by 4 points.

More good news.

riley4palin,  November 11, 2009 2:08 PM

If the Halperin leaks are indeed accurate about her upcoming book...

It doesn't look like Governor Palin cares one bit if the MSM tries to portray her as a "Religious Zealot" or will "fall into any traps."

She is proud of her faith and her love of God.  She is not afraid to express that.

She will be in charge of her own narrative.

No compromises....No excuses....No more sitting down and shutting up!

(Plus a big dose of portraying the MSM as dishonest boobs.  That's my idea of a great Holiday gift).

My boy's school had a wonderful music program this morning in honor of Veterans Day. It was a very uplifting program. When all veterans were asked to stand and some 6th grade choir members went into the stands to present them with a flag I thought it was so special. But then once all veterans had their flags all the kids stood up to give a standing ovation. Even 4th, 5th and 6th graders, on their own, know better than Obama how to honor our heroes.

I would also like to add a #11 to my list on 10 things that will happen on Palin's book tour.

For #10 I added that Gov. Palin would run with the troops at PT at the Fort Hood Stop.

My #11) Sometime on the tour it will "leak" out that Palin has already started on her 2nd book. A hard core policy book and her vision for America. Whispers of a release after the 2010 elections will be heard rather loudly.

Bill in Baltimore,  November 11, 2009 3:06 PM

With the Advance copies of the book coming out, look for a shakeout the rest of this week and then over the weekend.

I have never watched Oprah, can't really justify "working from home" on Monday.

Bill in Baltimore,  November 11, 2009 3:09 PM

the pressure for Oprah will be immense.

But I think the thing that saved her career was this: "In what regard Charlie ?" re: the (gotcha) Bush Doctrine question.

She threw Charlie off and he stammered through the rest of the gotcha sequence, it was classic negotiating technique.

The RNC convention speech was a pressure cooker as well, and she did ok there . . . monster dunk.

It's one thing to be proud of one's faith, it's quite another to get into a national debate about being even further right of George W Bush.

techno,  November 11, 2009 6:40 PM

Why the 'life force' of America has been bled away and why the 'death knell' of American exceptionalism has been embraced by Obama and dominates his agenda:
1) To begin with the destruction of life you have to always begin with the source of all life, God, our creator. If your goal is to snuff out the American 'life force' you must first seek to diminish the importance that God has played in the founding documents of America and the subsequent advancements Americans have made in enhancing their happiness, wellbeing and prosperity. You attack God on two fronts. You deny his existence through the secularization of culture and then you replace him with another god: narcissism, Islam, poliitical correctness or the social gospel. Obama and his allies as forces of evil have done a tremendous job of doing this for the last 40 years.
2) You create a culture of "guilt" through schools, churches, and popular culture that first paints America in a bad light (the problem) and then proposes a 'solution' (government intervention) to redress grievances, to make everything right, and to set up a Utopian system that makes it permanent.
3) Through #2 you create a class of victims who can be exploited by Marxists to 'agitate' and create 'chaos' and used to 'overthrow the capitalist system' and throw their lot in with Leftists to cement the revolution.
4) You gain control of academia (schools, colleges) and brainwash youngsters to thinking that 'socialism' is natural and conservatism is backward or evil.
5) You gain control of the federal govt agenda that passes so many regulations that it makes it virtually impossible for businesses to operate freely and/or thrive and then you manipulate the stock market, currency, the American financial system to bring about the financial meltdown and economic malaise and then blame it on American capitalism; you then take steps to knock down American business further which has already been in decline and justify a further expansion of government regulation so as to PUNISH the bogeyman of the American entrepreneur and take a 'Fascist' role in the control of the economy.
6) You convince the MSM through ideology, money or vested interest to back your agenda lock, stock, and barrel and to distort any message that the opposition (GOP, conservatives) seeks to advocate regardless if it contains truth or not. The MSM become spinmeisters and propaganda vehicles for the Leftist cause.
7) The American Marxists have had 40 years to prepare for this takeover. Don't doubt for a minute they have spent years devoted to meticulous planning into every step that they deemed necessary for the takeover and what they needed to do to make it the coup d'etat permanent including the passage of national health care (public option) regardless of the opposition to it.
8) Sarah Palin, quite simply, is the only imminent danger now that Obama and the Leftist see to implementing their full agenda and making it permanent. Attacking Sarah Palin is not only a political move to discredit and marginalize her but also a warning to any other conservatives to cease and desist and to cow them from challenging 'the new majority' comprised of global socialists whose primary goal is to impose a socialist totalitarian system on America. If you want to emulate Sarah Palin, you and your family will also be destroyed.
9) By destroying capitalism, the Leftists also hope to destroy the concepts of individual initative, the pursuit of goals and dreams and personal responsibility to look after one's own self-interest. This involves years of [...]
