Palin in Richland (Open Thread); UPDATED: Slideshow Added

From the Tri-City Herald (h/t Pat):

Sarah Palin didn’t wait to get inside Hastings bookstore this morning to greet the thousands of people who’d stood in line for hours to meet her.

On the drive to her scheduled book signing at the 1425 George Washington Way store, Palin made an impromptu stop along Torbett Street to thank her fans. She walked along the street for about 10 to 15 minutes shaking hands and posing for pictures, while carrying her young son Trig.

“We were stoked. It was worth the drive,” said Katie McGuire-Forbes.

She and daughter Raechel McGuire left Troy, Idaho, at 5:45 a.m. in the hopes of getting Palin’s autograph on their copy of Going Rogue: An American Life.

They never expected to have a brief exchange with the former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate. Palin, a 1987 graduate of the University of Idaho, gave her approval to McGuire’s Vandals sweatshirt.

“I got to shake Sarah Palin’s hand. That was awesome. And her baby is so cute, I just want to kiss his face,” McGuire-Forbes said just a minute after meeting the best-selling author. “That will make it that much better if I can’t get my book signed.”

Palin has been in the Tri-Cities since Wednesday evening, visiting relatives over the Thanksgiving holiday. She resumed her nationwide book tour with the appearance at Hastings and signed books for more than 3 hours.

Fans started camping out at 10 a.m. Saturday to be guaranteed a chance to see Palin.

You can read the entire article here. If you are going to either of her signings in the Southwest tomorrow, shoot us an e-mail or leave a comment.

Consider this thread an open thread as well.

Update by Doug: (H/T Neo) C4P reader and commenter "Neo" has provided us wih a slideshow of Governor Palin's book signing today in Richland, Washington:

She has a generous heart.  The article did not give any indication how many people were there but I imagine there were thousands.  And so the tour begins again tomorrow.  I hope the sneering liberal media and pundits got a lot of rest over the holiday.  They are going to to have to work doubly hard to try and diminish Sarah.....can they have any new words or ploys left?  Not only are they becoming irrevelent they are also amazingly redundant.  It's getting boring and their repeated assaults succeed only to confirm their foolishness.

Keep it up Sarah.  Hearts and minds....yours for the winning.  Go Rogue.

Tommy Report,  November 29, 2009 7:47 PM

Yes it did.  Read the first sentence.

johnmd,  November 29, 2009 7:48 PM

She is a people person . The best there is.

Nancy,  November 29, 2009 7:57 PM

She. Is. Awesome.

Whitney,  November 29, 2009 7:58 PM

Is getting off the bus to visit supporters unscheduled prior to a scheduled book signing considered "going rogue"?

Firelight,  November 29, 2009 8:01 PM

Yes!!!  It also brings more people out because they think they might have a chance at an inpromtu meeting.  She is brilliant and at the same time she is thoroughly enjoying herself!

lmg,  November 29, 2009 8:01 PM

Let's see now. 2.5 million copies of "Rogue" at $15 each = $37.5 million. Plus the additional book or two you buy to get the free shipping at Amazon or other online store. Tens of thousands of people camped out 24 hours in advance in shopping centers and malls all across the country waiting to get their books signed, and meanwhile making use of the facilities in the other stores, getting coffee, cola, food and snacks, blankets or chairs they forgot. Then inside the stores, more book browsing and buying, lattes and snacks, even from people who can't get the book signed but want to get a look at Sarah. People working overtime, extra security hired, etc.

How many jobs has Sarah Palin created or saved since November 16th?

Mark R-CA,  November 29, 2009 8:08 PM

This is typical Sarah.  She enjoys meeting us and when she talks to you in person, she makes you feel like the only person in the room.  Completely genuine and real.  My icon is a picture of when I met her here at a rally in Carson, CA.  It was raining and she shook hands and signed autographs for an hour after her rally.

Nancy,  November 29, 2009 8:21 PM

Please, God, keep her and her family safe.

defendAmerica,  November 29, 2009 8:26 PM

thanks these are great!

Bermuda Bob,  November 29, 2009 8:27 PM

More than Barry. Paper industry, book manufacturers, publishing house, book store employees, major outlet distributors, news organizations, TV crews, bus drivers, gas companies, security employees, police, etc. This tour is a cottage industry all on its own.

militantfeather,  November 29, 2009 8:28 PM

"Sarah Palin didn’t wait to get inside Hastings bookstore this morning to greet the thousands of people who’d stood in line for hours to meet her."

A nice touch, and a smart move.

Nancy,  November 29, 2009 8:29 PM

Ya know, I am getting the impression that she is not a diva.

gelston the knowitall,  November 29, 2009 8:32 PM

I saw a few Latinos, one Asian male, one Phillipino lady, and a good number of young people in these pictures.
This area of Washington has more Latinos and Asians than Black people so the lack of blacks is not a complete failure.

She is great I live in Roswell NM...she will be her Tue. Dec. 1 at Hastings and I will be there....

Neo,  November 29, 2009 8:39 PM

LOL -  I talked to her mother about that very same subject today.  Sarah is a one-person economic stimulus package!

TexMex,  November 29, 2009 8:40 PM

The People's President ;)

Nancy,  November 29, 2009 8:40 PM

My husband called me Genius the other day, after some observation I had shared with him.
I don't think he meant it as a compliment.:)

Whitney,  November 29, 2009 8:40 PM

I'm really glad to hear that, Lynda!

A few more pictures.
some are repeats.
Two by Mr. Forbes, AKA Neo
And a picture of Sarah with a Latino girl named Brandi Harris. Is that a common Mexican name or what?  :<)

I love the shot of the people looking in the window and of the McDonald's employees coming outside to get a look.

LOTS of young folks

A,  November 29, 2009 8:42 PM

No line yet in Tempe.

I am told it is a one book limit. Smart, but I want 25 signed.  ;-)

Costco members only. Book from them.

I will be there. i hope to talk to people, and network.

Two more people initiated conversation when seeing me with Rogue. I have a card from one to contact to network. Both think Sarah is crucial for America.

My suggestion: Carry Rogue, with the jacket on and cover showing. People will talk to you about it and Sarah. It is very easy to promote the book and Sarah.

I bought the CD. I plan to load it on my iphone and listen while waiting in line, and elsewhere. Now, when someone asks what I am listening to, I will say, "Going Rogue, it is a delightful book. I recommend it."

If you see me in line, ask if I have a treat for you. I will. I bought a few today. If the answer is "no", it is not me.  ;-)

lmg,  November 29, 2009 8:43 PM

That very phrase was in my mind.

lmg,  November 29, 2009 8:45 PM

Notice I said November 16th, because I thought of one job saved right off the bat: Oprah's.

Beehive,  November 29, 2009 8:48 PM

Hey my husband has called me the same thing before. Hmm. I wonder....

LOL!! ;)

eclecticak,  November 29, 2009 8:50 PM

Don't forget the gas stations, hotels, motels, restaurants, airlines and all the rest that are benefiting from the people traveling considerable distances to attend signings......

Neo,  November 29, 2009 8:51 PM

Ya mean the Herald is using my photos??  BG!

Neo,  November 29, 2009 8:54 PM

I have the audio version also - along with 5 signed copies of the book.  I finished listening to it Thur. morning while waiting for her to arrive at the 5k run.

eclecticak,  November 29, 2009 8:58 PM

I've been carrying a copy with me as I take my 84 year old mother on her rounds of doctors/labs/therapists after a total knee replacement. I have had many interesting conversations with assorted nurses, P.A.s and receptionists sparked by it. Some of them were pretty hot.....

Carry "Going Rogue" and pick up Gurrrls! That's the ticket!

;-)

Tommy Report,  November 29, 2009 8:59 PM

A, good deal my man.  Keep on giving us updates thoughout the night.

Indemind,  November 29, 2009 9:00 PM

Sarah got off the bus and began to walk with the people at George Washington Way. Read any history book.  If in the heat of Battle one wanted to find Old George, all one had to do was look to the front.  Old George led by example..This is who this Lady is.  A true Leader.

sarah rocks

Huskers-For-Palin,  November 29, 2009 9:06 PM

I'll remember that.   Palin book = pick up chicks

panchita,  November 29, 2009 9:08 PM

She's learning. She's actually going rogue while promoting "Going Rogue". Sarah has a whiffer thats unbelievable. One bad review regarding a few unsigned books and she has stepped up to the fore.

Sarah is feeding off of us. We are helping her lay out her battle plan.

She Is the "Happy Warrior" (sorry hubert)

Tommy Report,  November 29, 2009 9:08 PM

Good to hear.  Give us updates throughout tomorrow if you can.

Whoa! This is way O/T, but Huckabee has some real serious trouble:  The guy suspected in the murder of the four cops in Lakeview, WA was granted clemency nine years ago...by then-governor Mike Huckabee.

Makes me wonder if his statement earlier today that a run in 2012 was "less than likely".

Makes me wonder if his statement earlier today that a run in 2012 was "less than likely" has something to do with this.

A vote was held here about 10 years ago about gun control. about 90% voted against it.
I will wager that a good number of folks in the crowd were packin' heat and would have been quite happy to help out the lady from Wasilla.
I think her dad is so cute, staying right with her to be ready to help.

"<span>Palin book = pick up chicks"</span>

And weeks out the bad eggs.

lmg,  November 29, 2009 9:24 PM

All this shows that the people will stimulate the economy by spending their own money on the things they want. Just allow us to keep more of what we earn by taxing us less, instead of taxing us more to fund pork projects from Washington, DC.

A,  November 29, 2009 9:24 PM

I am not there. Probably in the morning. It is almost 40 hours from now. 24 should be enough. I doubt that i will be first.

Nancy,  November 29, 2009 9:26 PM

Maybe just carrying her book around means you have an aura off "sensual warmth".

A,  November 29, 2009 9:28 PM

I think he did not plan to run. HUCKPAC has been broke, with no effort to fund it.

I think Huck likes money, fame, respect, and a nice life.

And, he now knows how Rogue is going.

If he runs, Sarah wins, Huck loses.   He is smart to skip it.

This isn't the first time his soft-on-crime ways have gotten somebody killed:

<span><span>Count 3: Soft on Crime</span>
<span><span>Exhibit A: Huckabee granted more clemencies than all neighboring states combined</span></span>
<span>If you're wondering how Gov. Huckabee's hundreds of clemencies compare with neighboring states, get ready for a shocker. </span>
Huckabee leads the pack.
He has issued more commutations and pardons than all of the six neighboring states combined.
Governors seldom reduce sentences in other states – and almost never for murderers serving life without parole or for rapists or for habitual drunk drivers, while in Arkansas it's a regular habit with Huckabee.
Other governors use their clemency power only rarely, while Huckabee has made it routine. As we've told you before, he has issued more than 700 pardons and commutations during his eight years in office – more than 137 this year alone – and more than his three predecessors combined.
Here are the figures for neighboring states since 1996, when Huckabee took office (and keep in mind the population of these states is nearly 20 times ours):
-Louisiana – 213
-Mississippi – 24
-Missouri – 79.
-Oklahoma – 178.
-Tennessee – 32.
-Texas – 98 (includes 36 inmates released because they were convicted on drug charges with planted evidence).
Total: 624 vs. Huckabee's 703.
Governors in neighboring states almost never grant killers clemency, while Huckabee has commuted the sentences of a dozen murderers.
(snip)
Governors in the states we studied grant clemencies only on special occasions, such as when they leave office. Last January, after Mississippi Gov. Ronnie Musgrove, a Democrat, lost his re-election bid, he issued 16 clemencies, and there was a huge outcry. That's how many Huckabee averages per month.
By contrast, Haley Barbour, Mississippi's new Republican governor, has issued no clemencies all year, nor has Kathleen Babineaux Blanco, Louisiana's new governor, a Democrat.
In Tennessee, Gov. Phil Bredesen, a Democrat, has issued no clemencies since he took office in January 2003.
(snip)

A Missouri mother says she will do "whatever it takes" to stop former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee from becoming president, because he freed the man who went on to rape and murder her daughter, Carol Sue Shields.
(snip)
Wayne Dumond was initially sentenced to life plus 25 years for raping a 17-year-old Arkansas high school cheerleader. In 1999, a parole board voted to free Dumond, after then-Gov. Mike Huckabee announced his desire to see him released.

<span><span><span>Exhibit C: Glen Green</span></span>
<span>Why parole a monster like Green </span>
(snip)
Green, a 22-year-old sergeant, kidnapped Helen Lynette Spencer on Little Rock Air Force Base, where he beat and kicked her as he tried to rape her in a secluded area. She broke loose and ran toward the barracks' parking lot, where he caught up with her and beat her with a pair of nunchucks.
He then stuffed her into the trunk of his car and left her there while he cleaned up. Several hours later, he drove down Graham Road, past Loop Road and stopped near a bridge in Lonoke County. Green told investigators he put her body in the front seat and raped her because her body was still warm.
He dragged Spencer out of his vehicle and put her in front of the car and ran over her several times, going back and forth. He then collected himself long enough to dump her body in Twin Prairie Bayou.
This is what the Rev. Johnny Jackson, interim pastor at Bethel Baptist Church in Jacksonville, calls an accident, and apparently Huckabee believes him.
"There is no doubt in my mind that he could kill again," warns Pulaski County Prosecutor Larry Jegley.
The crime started out in his jurisdiction and ended in Lonoke County, where Prosecutor Lona McCastlain has also spoken out against the clemency.
"Life means life," she said, referring to Green's sentence after he plead guilty to Spencer's kidnapping, rape and murder.

Hefmier,  November 29, 2009 9:41 PM

Hello everyone, I just got back from the Richland signing just a short while ago. I got up to Richland after an almost 4 hour drive from my home, near Vancouver (WA).  There are no Hastings bookstores in either Western Washington or Oregon, so I arrived at the store without a copy of "Going Rogue" from this store.  When I arrived at the store, they had "sold out" all of the copies that had arrived earlier in the day and were awaiting a second shipment later that.  So, I decided to wait around.  It turned out that they grabbed books from other nearby Hastings' stores, as well as other competitor's stores.  I was able to get 2 books from the store, and then secure my spot in line around 5PM, Saturday afternoon.  I was interviewed by a blogger as well as an opinion writer from a local college newspaper.  While I was waiting in line.  I met some great people in the 18-19 hours that I was in line. (Cont.)

Nancy,  November 29, 2009 9:43 PM

Neo,
That was wonderful! Thank you for putting that together!:)

That was a gorgeous jacket she was wearing.

techno,  November 29, 2009 9:46 PM

I wonder if Huck had already heard about this incident when he appeared on Fox News and made his less than enthusiastic statement about running in 2012.

If this incident prevents him from running or cause his supporters to bleed away to Palin this will be huge. Stay tuned for next month's polls for Huck.

Hefmier,  November 29, 2009 9:50 PM

Part 2.
As I wrote at the end of "Part 1", I met some great people in line.  I met a couple that travelled from  Anacortes, which is farther away from where I live. Shortly after 10PM, Sarah's brother, Chuck Jr. and cousin Greg showed up to meet those who were already in line (I was around 50th in line).  Chuck Jr. and Greg chatted with me for about a couple of minutes and were surprised that I travelled so far to met his great sister.  I had my picture taken with both of them, and will get my film processed tomorrow.  It got really cold at night, and it dipped to just above freezing.  Luckily, I was dressed for the occasion with a sleeping bag and a couple of blankets.  Hastings kept their cafe open all night to allow people to get warm and to get their caffeine fix.  :^P  There is a boutique that is next door to Hastings, and the owners were kind enough to be open all night so that those in line so use the bathroom (the bathrooms at Hastings were inaccessible from the cafe) and to get some coffee and donuts.  Unfortunately, I cannot at the moment remember the name of the boutique at the moment, but I wanted to give to them a shout-out.
To be continued.

Someone who attacks convention or idols (sacred cows) or is unorthodox. I know that most conservatives are traditional or rigid in their outlook on issues-the reason why I was in the minority in the spring calling for Sarah to not run for re-election and resign as soon as she could. While I am a conservative and principled I try to look at all issues from a broad point of view and from that perspective sometimes come up with an odd or offbeat take on an issue or event.

<span>None of these are cringe inducing to me at all. On the contrary, they are punchy and direct (which he doesn't like), tactful (Beck, re "won't try" when she is really saying she won't compromise her beliefs), or spot on (India, Israel).</span>

I was able to get into the store around 11:00AM.  While Sarah and Trig were greeting people outside, I was already inside the store, waiting to meet her.  The staff thought that she would also greet people inside of the store, just before the signing, and prepared a path for her, as she approached the table where she would do her signing.  However, at the last moment, she was directed in ANOTHER direction of the store, and she was forced to bypass those in line, inside of the store, like myself!!  GROAN!!!! |^(  I was able to snap a couple of pictures of her before I reached her, but I am not sure how they will turn out.  I have just viewed the video of the photos that was just posted here at C4P.  At 2:12, there is a picture of Sarah shaking with her left hand.  I think that this was common, as she greeted me with her left hand as well.  I was actually ORIGINALLY suprised at how fast people went through the line.  We needed to have the front book flaps inserted into the page that simply states the words "Going Rogue" so that Sarah would have no problem getting to that page, and assistants were keen about that, even double-checking.  I talked to Sarah for, perhaps, 20 seconds.  She asked my name, and inquired about the sweatshirt that I was wearing.  As Sarah participated in the "Turkey Trot" in Richland on Thanksgiving morning, I also participated in a run/walk, called "Run to Feed the Hungry" in Washougal, and I wore the sweatshirt from that run.  She joked that "I missed that run". and I joked back that she went to the wrong run, and she responded back that she had to go the run that her aunt and uncle were involved in.  And I finally joked that maybe she could participate next year.  By then the line had to keep moving.
To be continued.

Sarah 2012!

Hefmier,  November 29, 2009 10:19 PM

I willl end with this: although I drove 4 hours from my home to Richland, spent almost 24 hours in line, sometimes in chilly weather with very little sleep and spent less than 30 seconds with her, the trip was WELL WORTH IT!!! :^D  I not only got to see Sarah, but I also got to speak with her.  I also got a glimpse of little Trig.  In addition to Chuck Jr. and Cousin Greg, I also got to say hello and to shake hands with Chuck Jr., as well as Sarah's Aunt and Uncle, whose names I forget at the moment.  I apologize.  I had the time of my life!!  As I stated earlier, I will have some photos processed, likely tomorrow and I will try to put some photos up on the Internet and share with my fellow C4Pers soon.  :^)

Ceejay,  November 29, 2009 10:21 PM

Check out those 24hour places...thanks in advance for posting!!!

<span><span>If We're In It, Let's Win It</span>Share Today at 10:21pmAs Thanksgiving festivities wind down we contemplate all we have to be thankful for as free Americans! We head into the Christmas season wishing for leadership in Washington that reflects our commitment to the values and ideals that have built the freest and most prosperous and generous nation on earth.

Heading into December and Tuesday’s announcement of our nation’s strategy in Afghanistan, I ask the President to reassure us that the administration is in this War on Terror to win.

And I’ll pass along the following from Harold B. Estes, a 95-year-old member of the Greatest Generation: “I realize you never served in the military and never had to defend your country with your life, but you’re the Commander-in-Chief now, son. Do your job. When your battle-hardened field General asks you for 40,000 more troops to complete the mission, give them to him. But if you’re not in this fight to win, then get out.”

Thank you, Mr. President. Please tell us on Tuesday that America is in it to win.

- Sarah Palin

Now I'm convinced: Sarah has a clone. No way she can sign books, tweet, and post to FB at the same time. Can she?

defendAmerica,  November 29, 2009 10:49 PM

I love that she uses a quote to say what she is really thinking... "<span>but you’re the Commander-in-Chief now, son. Do your job. "</span>

This is a full out depends alert at the highest level possible.

Hefmier,  November 29, 2009 10:50 PM

They beat me by 7 hours.

Penny,  November 29, 2009 10:51 PM

Hefmier,

Thanks for your write-up.  I'm glad someone from here could make it to the Tri-Cities book signing.  So happy for you!  As much as I wanted to, I just couldn't wedge the drive into my schedule.  And I'm glad you had beautiful driving weather through The Gorge to boot!

Like Gelston and Mrs. Heath may have eluded to, maybe Sarah's warm reception at her Wash. state book signing could encourage her to make a few 2010 appearances for our local conservative candidates.  (Think Brian Baird's challenger)  That's when I'm hoping to meet our gal.

MarkRNY,  November 29, 2009 10:53 PM

That's been on my mind a lot. Well said Nancy.

Hefmier,  November 29, 2009 10:54 PM

I will try to set up a Flickr account for the pictures, and hopefully have them up tomorrow. :^)

Uncle Tom and Aunt Katie.  Uncle Ron and Aunt Colleen.  Mother Sally.  Father Chuck.

Neo,  November 29, 2009 11:11 PM

Read the book.  She writes about Texas!!   Hint  Hint!!

TexMex,  November 29, 2009 11:12 PM

Ditto. Her first chapter describing Alaska almost made me question the superiority of Texas. I'm content right now to say AK is just as good as TX. I may even visit one day, and I'm allergic to cold temps. I'm frank folks, I think TX is the greatest state in the Union. It's just the way we Texans think. Please bear with me. I'm sure Lipstick understands this too. We Texans can be obnoxious in our support for our State. That said, if Palin can sell America the way she sold me on Alaska folks, I think we'll have a President who can put the red, white, and blue back in our country ;)

A,  November 29, 2009 11:15 PM

Still no line.

I may take some photos and video and try to get them to c4p tomorrow, of the first ones in line, if someone will save my place while I go work on it.

MarkRNY,  November 29, 2009 11:18 PM

O/T--Anyone see that Huck's "leaning slightly against" a run in 12?? He said that the party has to be united and that the Establishment" was against him last time. To me that was an attempt to position himself as the outsider (lol) and take a shot at Sarah for being "divisive" at the same time. This is why Billy Graham's dinner was so important. He needs pretty much overwhelming Evangelical support and he ain't gonna get it.

Today's events don't help him either....a lot!

karenfromny,  November 29, 2009 11:23 PM

wow, thanks for the cntl +

eclecticak,  November 29, 2009 11:24 PM

We Alaskans are passably fond of our smaller sister state......   ;-)

Visit. Take a coat. Go in July. Enjoy. Sleep when you get home.

Jla4Sarah,  November 29, 2009 11:37 PM

I also attended the signing in Richland today. I drove four hours from Kirkland, WA on Saturday and spent the night in a nearby hotel. I joined the line at 6:00 am and was approximately the 450ht person in line. The people around me were great - welcoming, friendly and very excited to see Sarah. Our group included a young couple from Portland and a woman from Corvalis Oregon. The time passed quickly and we reached the store by 1:30 pm. Along the way Sarah's Mom came by to say hello and thank us for coming. Meeting Sarah was very special. She is gracious and warm. I thanked her for continuing to stand up for what she believes and for our country. She thanked me and shook my hand. She looks everyone in the eye and gives you a smile that sparkles. Her Dad was signing books as we left the store and Trig was playing in the bookstore coffee shop. When I left the store at 1:45 the line was all the way back to where I had started at 6:00 am. I would say at least 2,000 people attended. It was a great event.

I do not understand the critics on our side. She touches the heart of conservatives more than any politician I have seen. She may need to increase her depth of articulation of issues but who doubts she can do that if she decides to run. For now she is the most successful author in the country, loved by millions and is successfuly reintroducing herself to many Americans. Pretty impressive.

Don't forget the Sarah and Todd both created jobs by resigning from their jobs.

onexsturtle,  November 29, 2009 11:50 PM

She looks great w/ her hair up. :)

onexsturtle,  November 29, 2009 11:54 PM

Thanks for the sharing the experience! I agree that she needs articulate beyond her usual talking points, but then again, what else is there to say?  She's said everything she needs to say and written everything she wants to write. She's a do-er, not talker. :)  When Barbara Walters asked her about a talk show, she said she rather write than talk. Also, in her book she also mentioned the quote, "If you want something said, ask a man, if you want something done, ask a woman."

onexsturtle,  November 29, 2009 11:55 PM

I think she did that because she's just very grateful that people came out to see her. Especially lining up for hours in the cold.  She's meeting people face to face the Alaska way.

Hefmier,  November 29, 2009 11:59 PM

I still cannot remember the names of the Aunt and Uncle that greeted me, but the Aunt greeted me with "Aloha".

Jla4Sarah,  November 30, 2009 12:00 AM

This is a link with video of the event today. It indicates that Sarah extended her signing by one hour but was still unable to sign everyone's books. She did leave the store by way of the front door and met with many in the crowd who did not get their book signed. The video indicates that people did not go away upset but rather appreciative. Sarah's Mom and Aunt are featured in the video and are thankful of the support they received from their local community after hearing a lot of negative during the campaign.

The full moon continues: Chrissy Matthews of tingles down your leg fame just compared Obama to appeaser Neville Chamberlain and wished the Messiah was more like Churchill.

Wow!

onexsturtle,  November 30, 2009 12:04 AM

No, I think it has to do w/ his book signing turnout vs. Palin's.

KeeleyH,  November 30, 2009 12:38 AM

Unfortunately, Obama hates Churchill.

hrh,  November 30, 2009 10:03 AM

Yep, I said that a few months ago. Glad to see the paid commentators are finally getting it.

Obama = Chamberlain
Kim Jong Il = Japanese Emeror Hirohito
Ahmajindahd (sp?) = Hitler
Putin/Castro/Chavez = Stalin

And now Ahmajinedad just met with Brazil's president. Who our import/export bank just gave $2 trillion to explore their offshore oil deposits.

Wake up America! Wake up media! Report what's going on, please!

hrh,  November 30, 2009 10:04 AM

Stalin was s'posed to be Mussolini ...
