People Magazine Interview
Normally I would not push anyone to purchase a copy of People Magazine, even if Governor Sarah Palin was in it. However, this time I would encourage ordinary barbarians to go ahead and spend the money.
I happened to be in Walgreens this morning, and I bought a copy.
The title of the article, written by Sandra Sobieraj Westfall, is "Sarah Palin's Wild Ride". Of course, there are the normal potshots at the Governor over Couric and Levi, but there also some interesting tidbits I had not read anywhere else.
For example:
[Sarah and Todd are] also sharing the challenges of raising 1 1/2 – year – old Trig, their son who has Down Syndrome. Trig has yet to speak or eat solid foods, but “he is just so cool,” says Palin, breaking into a grin. “He know he has us wrapped around his little finger.” The family has already learned sign language and Trig signs for “milk”. Palin admits that she aches to hear “Mama,” but now she is teaching Trig to sign, “I love you.”
Go and buy the magazine this time and enjoy a couple of new photos and some inside tidbits you may not find anywhere else.
Even though I am not able to link to the article itself, Governor Palin did answer a few readers questions, which you can find here and in the magazine.

It's wonderful to read that Trig is learning sign language. That is a universal language and that will be great for the whole family. I am going out to get myself a how-to book on sign language.
It is only proper, when Trig gets in the WH, we the people can communicate with him.
God is good all the time.

Prayer Warriors for Sarah Palin
I have to say that I have always been quite curious as to how Trigg was doing. Seeing tidbits of video here and there I noted that at least 19months old, Trigg was still not walking very well.
Being rehab nurse I guess that came naturally to me to wonder physically how he was doing.
With Down Syndrome there are wide variances of debilities. It looks like Trigg is severly
'cross-eyed", thus needing the glasses. I would think that he has to wear them a certain number of hours a day. He couldn't look more adorable in them!
So between Barbara Walters' interview and the people magazine piece Trigg seems to have a number of issues. He is very young and some of those debilities he'll overcome or at least compensate for...and others will be life long issues. He's very blessed to have the family he does.
“I love you.”..was also the first sign I learned with Adrian, who didn't start talking till he was 4.
Reading about Governor Sarah and Trig, take's me back 35 year's. and all that we have in common . Yes Irma, we should, learne the universal language of sign. Adrian now talks up a storm
but he still know's " I Love You " sign. God Bless Sarah, Trig, and family.

You know that the culture has coarsened and that Fascist amorality and Narcissism has presently triumphed over the charitable morality of 2000 years when a concerted effort is mounted to destroy the mother of a special needs child.
In the evilness of socialized healthcsare, Trig wouldn't have a chance. In the UK, there were of been pressure to abort.
I'll get in a long grocery line and read the story in line but I don't want to give People my money. This is less than their usual hit pieces on Sarah but it doesn't excuse the many hit pieces that they enjoyed doing. Maybe I'll buy a magazine when they do one honest story on Obama and his radical associations or a story on michelle's hospital job and the kickbacks and corruption that this job entailed.
It's great that Gov. Palin is getting a real flood of positive publicity, far outdistancing the negative stuff. During the campaign local media outlets were far superior to the national 0bama slime machine reporting. I always thought that the release of her book, subsequent tour, and interviews would have a very positive impact, and I still think that. It will be interesting to see what the polls say in January.
There are things that the national media aren't reporting much, if at all: Gov. Palin's statement about profiling with regards to Nidal Hasan, the increased press run for Going Rogue from 1.5 to 2.5 million. Just these two stories alone would normally cause a big stir, and generate a lot of comment, but so far very little has been said in the old media or even on the blogs, which I find interesting.
Since this is the 'People' thread I thought I would submit this tidbit:
Sarah may have had plastic surgery (botox).
http://www.hollywoodlife.com/2009/11/19/sarah-palin-plastic-surgery-did-she-or-didnt-she/
I would bet money right now that she has not had any plastic surgery. She is back running again, doing her own routine and calling her show shots which has reduced her stress level, and has fully lost the weight from her pregnancy. These hollywood types just cant get over how she looks this good without an entourage and army of plastic surgens!
I dont even think botox is considered plastic surgery.
Trig playing in the White House or on the White House Lawn would be a pretty powerful message that life is grand!
While watching Hannity the other day I was wondering if she had work done because her skin looked flawless. I don't think she has tho because her eyebrows actually move. On people like Pelosi and Biden every muscle above their eyes are paralized from Botox.
Amen, God is good all the time.
During the Georgia National Fair in Perry GA this October, a woman with a speaking disability (she had a lady helping her) came by the GOP booth I was managing and she saw our Sarah Palin 2012 buttons, she loved them, she signed for the price and I showed her 2 dollars (2 fingers). She could read lips. She said she didn't have that much money, so I turned and asked the Chairman's wife of the Party that had stopped by for a visit with us if it was ok for me to lower the price for her. She said for me to just give her the button. So I told the woman that she could have the button, she motioned no with her hands, so I said ok then 1 dollars she laughed and motioned she would take it for for free. Then she had to decide which color to chose the pink or the blue, we were having so much fun I don't even remember what color she ended up choosing. I just love kind hearted godly spirited people. They are what make life good. We can learn so much from them that it amazes me how some "elites" think they shouldn't be seen. To me these "elites" are just educated fools. They will never live life to the fullest because they are too busy trying to be "perfect."
Blessings, Irma
Sarah and Trig ..........

Palin appearance draws thousands to South Strabane By Kathie O. Warco, Staff writer, kwarco@observer-reporter.com

Thousands of people stood in a queue outside Sam’s Club at Trinity Point Saturday morning, many standing in line overnight, for a chance to see Sarah Palin and have her autograph a copy of her new book.

Palin’s three-hour stop Saturday was part of a book-signing tour to promote “Going Rogue.”She spent Friday in Ohio and was headed for Rochester, N.Y., for a signing at 7 p.m. today. She was scheduled to be in Roanoke, Va., Sunday.

Sharon Jacobs of Greer, S.C., along with her sister, Amy Gerwing of Venetia, got into line about 8:30 p.m. Friday outside the store. For Gerwing, it was not only an opportunity to have her books signed but to thank Palin for the note she sent to the Peters Township woman when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Palin sent her a note offering words of encouragement from herself and her husband, Todd Palin. Gerwing said a friend of hers sent Palin an e-mail about her diagnosis. Palin sent the note a few weeks later.

Jacobs said while her sister is a big Palin supporter, she was ambivalent about the former Republican vice presidential nominee who may be pointing for her own run to the White House.

“I am trying to educate myself and learn more about her,” Jacobs said.
