Quit Making Things Up, DNC
As Tommy Report indicated in a post last week, the DNC released an attack ad on Governor Palin. We decided to engage in some “fact checking” ourselves.
Do your part to get the truth out, help make this video go viral.

On my facebook as of this minute!!! W00T!
The video is blocked by the company firewall; will have to wait to see it.
Slightly O/T: did anyone see or hear Boehner's "game changer" on Saturday? Was it?
Or was Sarah's FB post designed to put the spotlight on the House GOP leadership in order to (a) further demonstrate that she's willing to help them but also to (b) call them out for not being more aggressive and prepared in their opposition to Obamacare?
The content of Boehner's address probably reveals the answer. I missed it. Anyone?
CharterOakie- I posted this answer to your question on a previous thread:
Not really. He did mention several points of the GOP's alternative plan. Perhaps it will lead to a game changer, as Sarah's giant megaphone likely made more people watch the response and know that the GOP does have alternatives. However, it was a little bt of a let down in the sense that the speech itself was not super informative or interesting. Perhaps that is because many of us knew the GOP alternatives already.
In my opinion, her note about this goes to show she is not totally ditching the GOP, but that she will only stand with them when they support conservative principles.

I look forward to watch this video when I get home. :)
it didn't do anything for me and it just repeated a few of the points we've all been making about this stupid health bill and how much more simple it could be with just a few adjustments (making it non partisan) all of which works for me

Whitney,
That was just the beginning. Bigger things are yet to come, like Michele Bachmann having a Tea Party on the steps of the Capitol this week regarding health care
I agree! I just meant that the response itself wasn't a game changer, but I think it may be one of many things that lead to a game changer. This month is going to be very exciting!
Great video guys just tweeted it !!
"Quit makin' things up, nab daggett!"
Thanks, all. At this point I'm inclined to think that Sarah's calling attention to Boehner's address was another shot across the bow of the GOP: "I'm able and willing to support you guys, but you need to get your act together and take a stand, ASAP."
It was particularly interesting to me that she explicitly urged Boehner's colleagues (GOP House members) to listen to the address. To highlight the effectiveness of his leadership, or perhaps the lack thereof?
Her language was almost too effusive. I think I detect very pointed and potent irony.
LOL, that's brilliant! COL, I've put you in for early promotion.
Sheya, Joshua: This is fantastic!
Just a suggestion - adding quotation marks around Obama's statements and the DNC claims (as well as the counterpoints from Washington Times etc.) will help identify who is making the statements for folks who are browsing with sound down/sound off. I'd even add scrolling text underneath Sarah's "...quit makin' things up..." audioquote, just to be thorough.
too hard to keep up on all the threads and updates, and oh yeah, work . . .
Sheya and Joshua,
Really liked that video. It was easy to read, and the contrast between President Obama and Governor Palin is clear. Thank you for your hard work, you are doing a wonderful job in getting Governor Palin's message out.
OT....
Looks like Sarah will be catching some rays in February..:-)

That is about the time of the Daytona 500. Can you say Gentleman Start your Engines.
Well I know I'll be saving up my money for, instead of CPAC
Posted on my blog. Thanks guys!
Along with an action item to go to Michelle Bachmann's press conference at high noon this Thursday. There's a half a dozen other congressman standing with her.
I'm trying to figure out a way to go ...
Hmmm, whereabouts is Rush located? Anywhere near here? Any connex to the Chamber? Hmmm.
BTW, Rush just read that CNN is covering Biden in NY23 and they called Biden the former VP! Foreshadowing?? :)
Good point on the quotation marks. Though nothing I can do about for this one, as the YouTube link has been posted around, changing it means a new link which complicates things. Nevertheless I’ll make note of it for the future. Thank you
Rush is saying one of the stories has Biden, criticizing Limbaugh, Palin and Armey, but referring to him as 'the former vicepresident", remarking maybe they know something we don't
By the way, CharterOakie, when I get home, I'm going to try to "Sarahify" my walking middle finger avatar. :)
This is Dr. Vicki
In my opinion, what Boehner and the Repubs ought to do regarding the health care bill, is to put together an actual bill that's about 10 to 25 pages long and present it to the American people (on the net, in the paper, etc). Then say, do you want ours or there's. Contact your congressman/woman.
I think the phones/emails in the House would go crazy.

ABC News’ Rick Klein reports: Campaigning in an upstate New York congressional district, Vice President Joe Biden today attacked his one-time opponent, Sarah Palin, who has led a succession of big-name Republicans in backing the candidacy of the Conservative Party nominee.
"Sarah Palin thinks the answer to energy is ‘Drill, baby, drill,' " Biden said at a rally this afternoon. Then he leaned in to the microphone: "It's a lot more complicated, Sarah."
Biden called on Democrats to "join us in teaching a lesson" to a Republican Party he said is promoting "absolutism" and "cannot tolerate any dissent."
On Saturday, Republican candidate Dede Scozzafava dropped out of the race in New York's 23rd congressional district, as she saw her support crater in part because Republicans like Palin questioned her conservative credentials. Scozzafava on Sunday endorsed Democrat Bill Owens for the seat.
New Facebook post up:
Response to Vice President Biden's Comments Today About My Position On Energy Independence Today at 10:12amAs the vice president knows, I have always advocated an all-of-the-above approach to American energy independence. Among other things, my alternative energy goal for Alaska sits at 50 percent because Alaska reached more than 20 percent during my term in office. The Obama-Biden administration, on the other hand, recently announced a renewable goal of only 25 percent. However, domestic drilling should remain a top priority in order to meet America’s consumption and security needs.
The vice president’s extreme opposition to domestic energy development goes all the way back to 1973 when he opposed the Alaska pipeline bill. As Ann Coulter pointed out, “Biden cast one of only five votes against the pipeline that has produced more than 15 billion barrels of oil, supplied nearly 20 percent of this nation’s oil, created tens of thousands of jobs, added hundreds of billions of dollars to the U.S. economy and reduced money transfers to the nation’s enemies by about the same amount.”
This nonsensical opposition to American domestic energy development continues to this day. Apparently the Obama-Biden administration only approves of offshore drilling in Brazil, where it will provide security and jobs for Brazilians. This election is about American security and American jobs.
There’s one way to tell Vice President Biden that we’re tired of folks in Washington distorting our message and hampering our nation’s progress: Hoffman, Baby, Hoffman!

Ah Snap, as Dr. House would say, don't let me have to come down there Joe
"It's alot more complicated, Sarah".....Now, that sounds like a threat...don't it?
Sarah has a new Facebook post up, as of 6 minutes ago. :^)

AAAAHH!!! Hanson beat me to it. LOL.
'Course they neglected the part where he started out saying that he likes Sarah, he really does.
I luv this woman.
That's a great avatar, by the way, ladydawnelle
Just tells you how stupid Biden is.....what about the natural gas pipeline??? Gezzz...
That's cuz he thinks he's "Joe, the average guy", instead of "Joe, the gaffe-a-minute nitwit".
I'm sure Obama shaking his head thinking, "Joe, Joe, Joe"
