Sarah Palin: Going Rogue Tour!
Via Facebook:
The first three stops on the Going Rogue book tour have been exhilarating!
I am humbled by the outpouring of support and have so enjoyed meeting and hearing from such great Americans in Michigan and Indiana. Our next three stops will keep us in the Heartland, and we hope that you can make it to one of our events in Cincinnati or Columbus, Ohio; or Washington, Pennsylvania.
Enjoy the pictures and go rogue with us!

Good morning.
Sarah is really having fun and nothing the media says and does can take that from her.
I am wondering if 300, 000 copies sold on the first day and pre order sales, if that number have been confirmed.
That is a high #. THe left stream media will pooh pooh whatever the # is. IT could be 50 million and they would find something to criticize it with.
Sarah seems to be really enjoying herself on this book tour. I couldn't more happy for her.
Prediction - by the end of the book tour, she will have at least 1.5 million Facebook followers.
Also, I'm really glad to see those security-looking guys with her on the bus! I've been praying for her safety...

From the NY Post
I noticed the same thing. Even in the interviews she is having fun.
That's good of the Post, there have been some snarky comments from the magazine reviewer and other sources. She does everything with a zest for life, with all she has seen this last year and a half she has been jaded; and that drives her liberal critics right through a wall
Was not home to receive the book...
Asked concierge...where I was staying...if he could help me out...
Yep...When I got back to my room that afternoon..."Going Rogue"... was sitting on my desk...
Cost of the Book???...Priceless!!...
me too!!!
Like so many others I got the book yesterday.... loving It!
Isn't this fun watching honest happiness and excitement... not planted ACORN and SEIU thugs... and best of all watching media heads spinning!
I still don't have the book. :(
I am still waiting. USPS FUBAR on steriods.
I see people meeting people of like minds meeting for the first time. Network! Network! Network!
Or more plainly, in regular language: Standing up. Standing together. Standing up for what is right.
Exciting stuff. (No wonder libtard heads are exploding -- there goes Andy now -- across the country.)

Seems like a fake quote is being picked up by the media in Indiana.
When Oprah asked Sarah if her ticket would have won with a diffrent Palin strategy, Sarah said no, we were percieved as the status quo when America wanted change.
But Ken Bode writes:
The book amounts mainly to score settling with John McCain's political operatives, whom she claims kept her from speaking her heart and values during the campaign. "<span>If you'd have been allowed to show more of yourself</span>?" asked Oprah. "<span>We would have won</span>," Palin replied.
Here's the link, I already emailed him...

Good morning Jean!
Does Governor Palin ever take a bad picture?
I volunteer my services to be the traveling photographer for her Presidential Campaign. I have absolutely zero photography film school, no real skills of knowing the perfect camera angle, couldn't tell you what is "perfect lighting" for this next shot, and have absolutely no knowlege how to develop film.
But come on, does it really matter for her anyway?
Speaking of photos, I forgot to mention on the FB tour post that I am thrilled beyond belief that Sarah has apparently established a professional relationship with Shealah Craighead!!!! She's the one who worked for Newsweek (!!! of all places) on last year's campaign and produced this portfolio: http://www.newsweek.com/id/168845
Sarah uses some of Shealah's photos in her book - including the back cover of she and Todd on the way to the VP debate.
And the pix on Sarah's FB post of the first three tour stops are by Shealah!! So she must be traveling with her. I sure hope Harper or someone puts out a souvenir book of the book tour with Shealah's photos.
Ha ha. Has that ever been done? A souvenir book about a book tour? Who cares if it's ever been done? Go rogue and do it for the first time. I'm thinking it would sell a few copies. ;)
Keep that relationship going, Sarah. Good choice. IMO. :)
Thanks ever so much for all of these great videos! This is the BEST website EVA! ;-)
Supporting the BEST Lady EVA! And some day the BEST PRESIDENT EVA!!!
Amen. ;-)
Nice!
I have to wait til Christmas. Poo

For my money, the best political photographer in the country.
Looks like I will need to get my butt up real early there in Springfield, Missouri so I can get my book signed by Sarah. I can't wait to see her and meet her. She is a great American.
Just in from the Cincinnati book signing and it was a very pleasant experience! Gov Palin arrived on time on the upper floor of the independant bookstore Joseph Beth (one of my top ten happy places in the world) carrying Trig before a crowd and media assembled on the lower floor. I can't say what the crowd size was but I do know that the store went through 2 rounds of the alphabet with 50 people per letter... People were very happy and responsive to her! She came down to the landing with a microphone halfway and gave some gracious and humble opening remarks. She was enthused! She had on a red boxy style jacket, black pencil skirt and knee high spike high heeled black boots. She proceeded up to her table behind the draping and the VIPs(?) were the first asked to ascend the steps. The media was all over the wide staircase and base, and from what I could tell all local but many outlets. The they started to call the letters one at a time. We found seats at a table in the cooking section and chatted with people. from there we went into the cafe for a drink. The peocess was a little slow at first becasue of personal photo taking so it was announces no photos. They had a pro there to take one or two for you. I have not checked the site yet... After getting a sense of the pace we orderd lunch. We could see the sull view of the line but had to check periodically for the letter. We were H. After lunch we basically had a ten minute wait in line to ascend the stairs. Very smooth. We each had 2 books to sign (full retail). She was working it:) Had a little one give her a coloring book picture right in front of me so I got to see her interact with the boy which was just like any other effusive mom. Knowing how many were behind us and that she needed to be in Columbus for another signing made me feel a bit sad it all had to be so assembly line. I had never waited on line for such an event before. I had two books which was permitted. I asked her if the book was going to be made into a movie. I cannot remember her exact response. I added that I had two in Hollywood that would love to develop it. She asked me my name and extended her hand for a handshake. I replied Thank you, Sarah. I had addressed her as Gov earlier. She really worked fast but was also mindful and attentive. I have some photos to upload. The crowd was large, polite, conversant and fairly even men to women, young to old. Country music played overhead. Coats and handbags had to be checked for security purposes. One man was in colonial garb and I have his picture. I don't post much but wanted to give something back to this wonderful community here. Will post a photo and possible vid link later.

200 did not get through the line.1000 did (many with 2 books) Bookplate signatures will be given to those who did not get through. My note-many days earlier the bookstore did not guarantee a signing as the event was technically sold out very early on and reported so on radio as news. Not sure about other media outlets reporting it sold out.

My Fort Wayne experience...
<span>My experience in Fort Wayne, as I am not sure where else to put it...
I headed to Fort Wayne intent on shaking Sarah's hand. In the past, I have had opportunity to catch glimpses of her from afar and have heard her speak. The option to thank her and shake her hand, has never presented itself though and this time I was not going to miss it.
There were 4 book signings planned, all within 3 hours of my home... Fort Wayne, Nobelsville, Cincinnati and Columbus. I live in Cincinnati and was going to start there, but their process was different and they presold places in line, which were all taken when I called a week before the signing.
i decided I was going to start in Fort Wayne and go to as many as necessary until I was able to see her.
I headed out around 5pm on Wednesday evening toward a Meijer (which is like a super WalMart, for those of you that don't have one near you). It was raining and cold and the Meijer hadn't a well outlined plan when I called except that she was expected at noon and wristbands were to be handed out to the first 1000 people at 10am.
Unsure what I would need, I packed up changes of clothes, blankets, tarps, umbrellas, and a rain suit (it was supposed to rain all night) and figured I could purchase anything else I needed when I got there.
When I arrived around 7pm, there was no obvious line outside the building, so I went in to stake out the place and pick up some snacks for the night. When I got in the store, I was immediately greeted by a huge display of Rogue and an 8 foot table covered in books. There were few people in the store shopping, but much preparation was clearly going on.
The employees were taking down center aisle displays to clear a bigger path for the anticipated crowd and media that were expected. The was a lot of cleaning and straightening going on elsewhere around the store. I approached what looked like a manager in a suit to ask him what the plan was and where he wanted me to start the line. He answered that it was much too early to think about starting the line, but I could come back in the morning and it would start inside.
Determined that I would be at the beginning of the line, I decided that I would go out and just start it at the beginning of the door. As I headed back out in the rain, I noticed the large number of cars in the parking lot and thought it odd that I had only seen a few shoppers. I went back to the car and got my back pack of supplies, my camping chair, etc and headed back to the door to set up camp.
As I walked up to start the line, about 30 people rushed from their cars to get a spot behind under the awning of the store. However, soon after the store manager came out and announced that despite his earlier statement, that there would be no line in the store, he had changed his mind and we should come in. It appears a woman who had been too late at Grand Rapids had headed to Fort Wayne and convinced the manager that he didn't want several hundred people outside his 24 hour Meijer in a thunderstorm all night.
We all put our stuff back in our cars. I changed my clothes, no longer expecting to be cold and wet all night. No chairs were allowed in the store, but I took my blanket and my backpack. We took up residence for the night in an aisle of Christmas decorations and snaked up and down and in and out of aisles. And later in the morning that line snaked out the store and into the garden section where rope turnstiles had been constructed.
I got to know my fellow aisle-mates for the night. Most were great barbarians and a few were a little strange. The lady that stayed first in line, the [...]
<span>
The people in line were flexible and we took turns leaving line to head to the bathroom or get up for a stretch and take walks around the store which was open for business all night. As the hours passed the line got longer and was well over 100 people by 10pm.
It was interesting to talk with everyone about their ideas. i was surprised at how little most around me knew about politics. They were there to see Sarah. They mostly watched only Fox News and had trouble remembering specific facts about current events. But, they knew that what Sarah said made sense and lined up with the ways that they run their families and their businesses. Of the first 50 or so in line, none had ever heard of C4P or Team Sarah, or any other Pro-Palin place. I was excited to receive Sarah's first tweets there on my phone, though none of the others around me had ever been on twitter, I read them and tweeted Sarah back to let her know we were in line and waiting for her.
Around 4am, the media started showing up in mass. There were close to 500 people there by that time who were shocked at the number of people that were laying all over those nice clean Meijer floors, neatly snaked up and down the aisles along the right side of the store. As the cameras set up, pointed right at the front of the line (and me), we started to figure out where they were from. Good Morning America, MSNBC, the Today Show, and all the local networks had plans to tape. Reporters from the Washington Post, the New York Times, and local papers were walking along the aisles asking questions of the people on the ends. Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, and others were in there as well.
When we saw Andrea Mitchell walk in and start putting on makeup on top of her makeup we realized how big of a media deal this was. Close behind her was Norah O'Donnell. Neither interacted with the crowd until they wanted an interview and they did not speak to each other either. The host of Good Morning America was much more pleasant.
I ran to the arts and crafts section of the store and bought posterboard and a sharpie and we made up signs to hold in front of the cameras. I have not taken the time to look for clips yet, but I was right in front of the MSNBC and Today Show cameras and my sign is green and says "Thank You Sarah" and has "conservatives4Palin.com written on it.
For the next few hours we watched the interviews go on and held up our signs and yelled and chanted when the red lights were blinking. In between I read and tried not to fall asleep. Some of the people in line were getting tired and a little less tolerant of each other as the morning wore on, but for the most part there was harmony in the crowd.
Around 8am they came around with cookies and juice and coffee and the line was headed out the door and into the garden section. The big media elites were gone and cameras were waiting for Sarah's arrival. It was getting loud inside the store. About 50 state trooper and local police came in with a dog who searched the area where Sarah would be and they all took up their posts.
At 10am they came down the aisles with green bracelets. Once we had one on we were not to leave the line for any reason. We also picked up our stuff around that time and moved in closer as there was no more room at the end of the line for the hundreds more people that had accumulated.
</span>
<span>
Around 11:45 we were told her bus was here and she was expected any moment. She was to be signing in a curtained off "room" that had been made. At 11:55 she appeared out of nowhere surrounded by security from behind a display. The place went crazy and started chanting , "Sarah, Sarah". She was quickly whisked behind the curtains.
They opened up the rope that held us back in the aisle and the line started down the main aisle. We had to leave all bags and coats and cameras on a table in front of the curtains and open up our books to the page we wanted signed and then rushed into see her. I was #10 in line. An aide took our book from us and passed it in front of her. Without looking down she would scribble with her sharpie and another aide would grab it out and set it on the table. The whole time she was interacting and talking and laughing. She was asking people questions and shaking hands. She was standing and one of the aides tried to tell her there was a chair behind her. She answered, "Are you crazy? After being stuck in that bus all this time?" and laughed and remained standing.
There were network cameras in there taping the signing that rotated in and out and there was a camera person taking each persons picture as Sarah was signing our book. We got a card to go online and look at those pictures to purchase if we want. It was a nice concession for not being allowed to take cameras into see her.
It was a great meeting her and shaking her hand and thanking her for all that she does. She amazed me with her ability to connect with each person, despite spending 20 seconds or less with them as they paraded in front of her. She shook hands and picked up babies and gave hugs. She signed t-shirts (though that was breaking the rules :) and personalized books (though that was also against the rules :) She struck me as genuinely happy to be there and excited to meet the people who loved her.
