Good Morning...
Top of the morning, sun shining in Baltimore, it's a glorious day.
Watched "The Blind Side" with Sandra Bullock (wealth family takes in homeless kid, now he plays for the BALTIMORE Ravens).
It's a very powerful TRUE story, and it has a VERY strong Christian message.
Had me in tears, it changed the mom's life as much as it did Michael Oher's life.
I highly recommend it.
Plus I heard during the filming the real Mom's interaction with Sandra was moving, I don't know anything about Sandra other than I love just about anything she does, but I think she went away with a different impression of Christians than what she started with.
Hmmm, kind of like when anyone meets Sarah UNFILTERED.<span> </span>
That movie was very good. I enjoyed it, and wish more movies were that moving. My husband and I do foster care for a little girl. She doesn't live with us, we just do respite care which is OK with us; but we are glad we are always here for her.
I would recommend this movie to anyone!
Nice to hear about Bullock. I think most Hollywood stars look down on Christians; but really, we're just normal individuals that want to do the will of God and want to do good in the world.
A glorious Sunday indeed! Brilliant sunshine surrounded by bluest sky, a harbinger of good things in the week ahead.
Just in case you need another article on Sarah to read with your morning coffee.
Hating Sarah
Hey Jane aka Emily!...Hope things are going well for you!...Miss Ya....
My current lead vote getter to be Sarah's chief speech writer
Doctor Zero
Diedre, thanks for sharing, very nice.
our "friend" dede scozzoabortiontaxesobamacare on cbs this morning. placed there by our friends in the lsm for the sole purpose of getting a negative quote on Sarah. We await her weasly answer with bated breath.
Good morning fellow barbarians. As I brew my morning my pot of coffee and taste my first cup of the hot, black sweet brew, I am listening to Sarah read Going Rogue . Seems like she's here in my living room just talking to me and telling me her story. The nutroots are crazy to claim that Sarah didn't write this book.......it's Sarah pure and simple.
The first chapter, Sarah growing up in Alaska exudes her love of Alaska and paints a vibrant picture of growing up in Alaska...a state that most of us in the lower 48 knew very little about prror to the gift of Sarah. It reminds me a little of my childhood growing up on a 3000 acre plantation where our nearest neighbor was at least 10 miles away. Fortunately, I had plenty of playmates...there are six kids in my family and we spent much of our free time in our canoe on the bayou in front of our house or riding our shetland ponies in the woods behind our house. We were not what I consider poor but my Dad was a farmer and money would be tight at times during the year. We had cattle and chickens, and milk cows and a three acre vegetable garden. I remember going to town...about 40 miles away maybe just once a month to do mega shopping for the things we didn't grow or raise. Going to school 40 miles one way was a little daunting. There were only about a dozen children on our road and a covered pickup truck picked us up and took us 20 miles to the paved highway to meet the regular school bus. One advantage to the long ride to and from school...I had plenty of time to finish homework and could spend my time at home with the more important and enjoyable things like playing with our dozens of pets...horses and dogs and cats and racoons and even a pet skunk. Life was good.
Enough about me.
I highly recommend the audio book to all my friends at C4P. It's amazing to hear Sarah's words by Sarah.....unfiltered. If possible, I recommend this as a Christmas gift for those family members who are not convinced that Sarah is the person that we all know she is. Listening to Sarah tell her story is powerful and could well be the trigger that will gain their support. If not, at least they may think twice before believing the lamestream media lies.
Well it's time for the story of Sarah's college life and her romance with Todd. Things are moving fast so I need to pay attention and read the posts of my friends here at C4P.
Laissez les bon temps souler! .........That's 'Let the good times roll' for all the yanks.
Are you sure she's not on there to offer her negative impressions of Fred Thompson and Tim Pawlenty?

^^^Boy you got that right!!
Navigate: POLITICO Live: : Huckabee: 'Less than likely' I'll run in 2012 November 29, 2009 Categories:Campaigns Huckabee: 'Less than likely' I'll run in 2012
Mike Huckabee, the former Republican governor from Arkansas who has his own Fox show told Chris Wallace on "Fox News Sunday" that a 2012 presidential bid is "less than likely" and depends on whether Roger Ailes, the head of Fox News, keeps liking his show.
"The reason I wouldn’t is that this Fox gig I’ve got is really wonderful, " he said, talking about whether or not he would get in the race given that he is a GOP front runner according to most recent polls. "Jumping into the pool, you gottta make sure there is some water in it."
Huckabee said that GOP leaders would be foolhardy to think that President Barack Obama is an easy mark in 2012, given the example of President Bill Clinton's easy re-election for a second term after a bruising midterm in 1994.
And Huckabee said that during his 2008 campaign, he never got the backing of the GOP establishment.
"The Republican Party needs to unite in 2012," he said.
Can you guys clue me in about "theimoralminority.com"? I'm not going there, I know they're Palin haters, but I don't recall the details. A blogger I know who is somewhat critical of Palin has pointed to that site as a source of information. Aren't they the ones generating ethics complaints? Who are they? Please fill me in.
ew i didn't like his "still born" reference
I was serving my country duirng the Carter/Reagan years so I truly don't remember any politics of the time except for the fact that BOTH Presidents managed to keep MY butt out of any unnecessary wars of choice or otherwise! I was lucky and I do admire and thank BOTH for keeping me safe. I might not be here today had they both not done exactly what they did. Timinig is EVERYthing! Right Lady Sarah?
Some (most) don't CARE particularily about any thing political and would rather NOT have to be discussing it at all! So THOSe are the masses that I feel will end up flocking to Sarah in the end. As long as she keeps being who she is and nothing scary comes busting out of any long lost closet. I feel pretty good about it! You all should too! Keep vigilant but enjoy the ride! You are WINNING because YOU are staying true to YOU! I LOVE IT!!!
Dang, it's going to be a LONG day here on the east coast, it'll be like 9 or 10 tonight before we get updates on a Sarah sighting !
Wow, that's getting me giddy. Perhaps we WON'T have a REPUBLICAN DEMOLITION DERBY, aka the primaries. Let's make it stick.
Next up - Pawlenty, let's get the low-hanging fruit first.
He's being consistent. He has said that he knows if he runs in 2012 that he would have to give up his TV show and his radio show, knowing that they won't be there waiting for him should he not win the election. He doesn't know if he wants to give it all up and start all over again.
Personally, I've said it before and my instinct keeps telling me he's not running in 2012. I think he knows that he would need to raise a boatload of money to compete and trying to do that against Romney, who has a stranglehold on the big corporate donors, and Sarah, who's doing well among the grassroots but also has her own big-wig connections, would be too draining for him.
My only concern is wondering if he made or will make a deal with Romney. Huck endorses Mitt and in return, Mitt chooses him to be his V.P. And for all those who keep saying "but they hate each other", this is politics. Hate is love and love is hate in this game. If it means he gets a shot at the White House, of course he'll abandon all principles and endorse the one guy he fought bitterly against in '08. It happens all of the time. Bush 41 and Reagan were bitter rivals who formed one heck of a ticket in 1980. Hillary and Obama detested each other, but she lent her support to him and in return, got a top cabinet position.
If Huck does endorse Mitt, that will help Mitt immensely. I personally hope Huck just stays out of it all together, and let Palin and Romney battle it out without his help.
lol
ps. GREAT MUSIC!!! Love it! Thanks C4P!
Isn't that the website owned by Jesse Griffin? The guy that made false claims about Sarah and her family, worked with kindergartners and is a total pervert? Is that the same person or is this a different website?
I think it was Celtic Diva at another blog that generated some of the complaints. I believe the IM is just a typical hate site that spews a lot of venom and lies about Palin. The guy who blogs it generated some rumors about her divorcing Todd and props up Levi as the Progressives' "savior" that will bring down Sarah.
I do remember that Dan Riehl and Stacy McCain, two conservative bloggers, helped to get the IM blogger fired from his day job as a teacher's assistant, after he was blogging smears about Sarah. But I can't recall all of the details.
I've read the site a few times and it's pretty funny that they're so desperate to find anything on Sarah to stop her momentum. Much of it is heresay and opinion - I've yet to see facts printed over there. Just a bunch of bitter and hateful people whose voices are slowly getting drowned out as Sarah gains steam.
Good morning Barbarians!! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend! It is sunny and beautiful in Colorado today!
I am drinking my coffee and waiting to see what new lines of attack are going to be tossed out on the Sunday morning shows this week. No church for us today since my 2 yr old is running a fever. I am hoping he feels better as the day goes because it is too beautiful to stay inside. Fresh air is always good for the soul!
Check out Debra Saunders commentary linked from RealClearPolitics this morning. I thought it was pretty even handed. Includes some digs at both Gov Palin as well as the hypocracies of some of the liberals who bash her for sport.
My take on the Palin criticism at this point is it is impatient. Like Krauthammer, many of these folks are saying she needs to not respond to the Levi/Trig/Wooten stuff. Which, to some extent they are right. But she keeps getting grilled with these questions. IMHO, she needs to go ahead and respond a few times and then just drop it completely. From December 1 forward, she needs to just say, you know, we've been over and over that, it's time to move on to substantive issues. Then let it die of natural causes.
I am also somewhat disappointed with the responses about the Couric interview. I would like to have seen her just say, you know, I really blew it. I just froze. I could have said Wall Street Journal, Weekly Standard, blah, blah. But I froze. And I could have said the Valdez decision whatever whatever, but I just froze. I think the "I was irritated line" sounds a bit like a justification. One thing we lack in most of our politicians is their ability to own up to a mistake or to being human. That's a good quality Gov Palin has and I think she wasn't using it well here. She was being too defensive. I like in her book where she admits to making a mistake not backing her MIL for mayor. She just admits to being wrong. No excuses.
I also agreed with the author on her, what appears to be, conflicting positions on Valdez vs the Drill Baby Drill issues. I would really love to see Sarah's next book come out within a year and be titled "Drill, Baby, Drill" and in that book explain the importance of energy to national security and the economy as well as environmentally safe. I think a really good policy book like that would blow all this other "bull c**p" off the table. She could do an energy book quickly and it would be really tough for critics to claim it's not her own work. It would give her a chance to really showcase her success as governor in Alaska and balancing energy exploration with environmental concerns.
My local economy is doing great and it's because they are aggressively drilling for natural gas with our county being more or less the epicenter. I don't know hardly anybody out of work, and the people who do have jobs are getting paid more with better benefits than we've seen around here. There's no reason this couldn't be happening all over our nation except for the freakazoid environmentalist. I'm a bit of a greenhead myself, I recycle, grow my own garden, walk to church, all that kind of stuff. But some of these people are whack jobs. Not to mention hypocrits living in their 10,000 square foot houses and telling me to turn down my thermostat (i.e. The One).
Morning to all! Over at powerline blog in a piece about the weak bo tha author concluded with this:
There is in this a lesson. In 2012, the Republicans should nominate for the presidency an individual with executive experience -- who has negotiated with legislators, and who has had to make decisions and take responsibility for the consequences. Among those available, they should choose a principled defender of constitutional government and a skilled manager who recognizes the ultimate dependence of the public sector on growth in the private sector of the economy and who thinks of himself in the international arena as the guardian of American interests."
Paul A. Rahe holds the Charles O. Lee and Louise K. Lee Chair in the Western Heritage at Hillsdale College.
I can think of only one person that fits this description!
SARAH PALIN 2012
Where in CO are you?....'cause it sure ain't sunny and beautiful in my neck of the woods. We are supposed to get dumped on.
Palin book-signing draws long line of eastern Washington fans
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2010379768_webpalin29m.html
RICHLAND — Welcome to Sarah Palin country, 220 miles and a world of politics away from Seattle.
Eastern Washington fans of the former Alaska governor and darling of the Republican right started lining up at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Hastings book store here — 26 hours before Palin's scheduled to appear at noon Sunday — just to make sure they'd get her to personally sign her tome, "Going Rogue," selling here for $17.39, plus tax.
By 9:30 Saturday night, some 250 of the faithful were camped outside the store, sitting in lawn chairs, covering themselves with blankets and sleeping bags, warming up with portable propane heaters.
They are all the time Palin haters. If you read the comments, Sarah can't hold her mouth right. They even give two opposing reasons for hating her in the same comments. His followers hang on waiting the "BIG" surprise Levi is going to give that will bring Sarah down.
Sarah had to threaten to sue them about the divorce comments and then Jessie Griffin took them down. Now that Sarah is out of office it is just a hate gossip site with little or no true knowledge of what is going on.
Huck probably got the word from David Brooks that talk show hosts are a "joke" ...
Hope your child feels better soon. We have a 2-year-old also. She's been battling a bunch of colds this fall. Just when one kid gets over a cold one of the others gets one, it seems. It's beautiful today here in Kansas, too.
In most of her TV and radio interviews Sarah did talke full responsibility for the Couric interview.
She said he blew it big time and was not professional. She said she could have and should have responded better to questions from Couric. Those that still bring this up are whipping a dead horse, I think. Once someone has taken responsibility what more is there to say??
Me, too.
South Denver, it is sunny and clear right now. Where are you??
Thanks, I hope he feels better too. So far, we have completely avoided all colds but I knew it wouldn't last forever. I am also guessing that my 5 year old is up next. Tis the season!
WOW!...You are up early!
Huck knows that if Gov. Palin decides to run she is going to suck all the oxygen out of his campaign. I believe that some of the others lower down the ladder, Pawlenty, Santorum, Gingrich, will most likely conclude the same thing, essentially leaving Palin and Romney to fight it out. Check out Free Republic, since Jim Robinson has endorsed Palin, there are now anti-Romney videoes on every single page, Romney defending abortion even for underage girls, and Romneycare. The latest polls have shown Romney's support among republicans starting to dwindle. If that trend continues, he may decide not to waste his money. If Gov. Palin uses 2010 to travel the country promoting her new PAC followed by another book (undoubtedly another bestseller) and campaiging across the country during the midterms, she could become unstoppable. Everyone interested in running in 2012 will definately be waiting to see what she does. Some may declare in January or Feb 2011, but then drop out if she declares later. What would happen if there was only one announced gop candidate come 2011? Would the primaries be run using the candidates name, and then OTHER as an option, or would no primaries be held. I don't think that situation has ever happened before.
The Springs..
No one said Obama would be easy to beat. Why is Huckabee spitting out stuff we already know? Obama's got the media on his side. That does PR wonders for a man-child president.
Never really went to bed...got caught in a pocker tourney last night...I was doing well. It just took all night to play. finally made it to bed about 5am...but now I must go feed my dog.. so yeah..just another day. ;)
Dr. Vicki ... I agree with your first paragraph about moving on, but I don't think she has done anything wrong in responding to the Katie Couric questions. She admits she was annoyed with Couric, and that she acted unprofessionally. Watching the tape over again, you can see how she just blew off Katie's "what do you read" question. She didn't want to tell Katie what she read. She didn't "freeze" ... She just was intensely annoyed by a woman who didn't even bother to do any research on her record or read any of her op-eds or interviews. I do think that in some parts of the interview Sarah comes off as a bit nervous, but how many times does Sarah have to apologize for the Katie Couric interview?
Just out of curiosity, why is nobody asking Joe Biden about his bad Couric interview?
/sarc
I follow this blog site called Race 4 2012. We need more Palin fans to stick up for all the crap thrown at her. The blogger, Alex Knepper, has a strange obsession with Palin. It's kind of bipolar. One day he hates her, the next day he loves her. Anyways, here's the link.
http://race42008.com/2009/11/29/top-10-cringe-worthy-moments-in-the-going-rogue-interview-sessions/#comments
harry smith started out the interview by pronouncing dede a moderate republican. dede says she would have scored 7 out 10 in the GOP litmus test. dick armey says she was dropping like a stone in the polls before the conservative opponent even got in the race (whoa, whoa, whoa dick, way to rewrite history and diminish Sarah's role)
dede counteracts by saying the club for growth and the "right" side of the party distorted her record. No mention of Sarah which only lends gravitas to her image IMHO.
I am now checking the weather :)
I read on there too. It is similar to the Hannity board. They are not for the most part, Palin friendly. Drives me nuts!!!
Of course all their criticism lacks rational and fact but what do they seem to care. Ugh!
Hey looky there...It's a beautiful sunny day here in CO! ????? HUH?
unreal...well if you don't like the weather here in CO...wait 5 minutes....LITERALLY!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skU-jBFzXl0
WellI have to go get ready for my the other LEAST favorite activity...shopping. Need clothes. UGH!
They exemplify the <20 percent of our party that feels the need to bash Palin like liberals do. ahem Meghan McCain ahem.
A few good patriots are fighting back, but what do they say? Strength in numbers.
don't sweat the losers dude. went and checked out kneppers comments on the thread and he is a classic concern troll. i'll pop over and say hello.
That was my point, Juju.
She did admit to not behaving professionally. But then started talking about how long the interview was and how she was getting irritated. I think a better card to play would have been to have just stopped at that, "I was unprofessional".
it's like when somebody tells you "I'm sorry". You feel great. But then they start giving all kinds of reasons why they did whatever they did, your heart just starts sinking.
I personally think katie Couric is an overrated boob. If you don't believe it, you need to watch some tapes of the 9/11 twin towers crash and her comments while it was going on. First she thinks it's some little private plane that made that humongous hole. She has this total duh Wilbur reaction. Any person with half a brain is thinking terrorist. And even when the second plane hits, she's still bumbling around acting clueless about what is happening. She should have lost her job the next day.
And the night before Christmas parody on health care this past week. Stupid. I just don't understand why she has the level job she has. It is so obvious she has an agenda. Which is why CBS news is tanking. Conservatives certainly aren't going to watch a "reporter" when they know that "reporter" has a liberal agenda.
Man, I love Governor Palin. I was sitting up all night on Adam Brickley's blog waiting to see if that was really her plane that was landing in Ohio. But I think she's wrong on the Couric interview. i think it was a "seminal" moment as Oprah said. As much as I like her, I sat on my couch going "ouch" "ouch". "Get off the mat, Sarah". Especially because I actually thought it was a good question. I wondered what sort of things she read. So, fan that I am, I was disappointed when she punted.
And even now, I still don't think she's given a good answer. What does she look at every day? We still don't really know. I think it would be good to know. I don't care if she reads some brainiac stuff, but I would like to know where her curiosity takes her.
I also would like to know some of the Supreme Court decisions that she thought were a big deal. And why she thought they were or weren't the right decision.
They were good questions. Gov Palin had her reasons to believe they were gotcha questions, but for those of us watching, they were legitimate questions. And think it would do well for her to give the responses she wishes she had made instead of hashing over what was happening. Like when Bill O'Reilly asked her about it, rather than saying what was going on with Couric, I wish she has said, You know, what I wish i had answered was blah, blah, blah, blah, and not even talked about Couric. Turned it into a policy issue and not let it be about a cat fight between her and Couric.
Same with the levi questions, instead of answering personally about levi, I think a great way to deal with those questions is to turn them into answers about single motherhood, and families dealing with custody issues and issues of child support. Just spin it totally off her personal situation and make it about "the folks".
People are interested in Gov palin, for sure, but what is really meaningful to people is when they see she can take her own life experiences and see how it applies to policies that affect them.
no one will replace Brianus
it seems like her 2 weeks should be up soon!
Sometimes I wonder if these people watch the same interviews. I have come to the conclusion that you can look the liberals right in the eyes and say one word "NO" and they will print that you said one work "YES."
dr. vicki, not trying to be a pill or anything, but you have good things to say, just need a little breathing room (line breaks, more paragraphs, etc.)
- but love your comments.
HURL!
Made ya look!
I will be at the Phoenix, AZ book signing starting tomorrow (to wait in line for a day). Any fellow C4Pers going to be there tomorrow? Hit me up!
That is the site that is run by local Alaskan democratic blogger Jesse Griffin. He is the one who started the divorce rumor with "anonymous sources". Levi took it from there.
He was employed as a kindergarten aide, but during the fiasco with the divorce rumor, it was found that he had made sexually explicit comments about young children and then "resigned" from his job in the school system. To all accounts he somehow manages to pay his bills, though he remains unemployed.
Dan Riehl of the RiehlWorld, did some excellent investigation into this creep back in August and details it here... http://www.riehlworldview.com/carnivorous_conservative/jesse-griffin/

I'm reading the book somewhat slowly, but it is so amazing.
Media Malpractice (by John Zeigler) is one (awful) thing, but the real malpractice is (and continues to be) that the American public doesn't know who Sarah Palin is (or BHO, for that manner).
Not only is it media malpractice, it's worse. It's a diabolical effort to suppress who she is, because if the public knew, they would love her as much as we do, and by contrast, despise what our Administration is made up of.
i think in response to all of these questions, she is simply telling the truth. i think she figures if the answers aren't good enough then so be it. she has nothing to lose at this point, and seems to be on a quest to put truth about her out there for the people who want it. some people will choose to hang onto the negatives no matter what she puts out there.
A lot of us read that blog, but only a few post on there. I've seen techno over there (as bob) and narcisso, akreport and wisetrog. Honestly, some of those people are so hateful towards Palin, I just don't feel like getting into it with them. Martha, Knickers, Thunder and others are just plain spiteful. And yes, I saw Alex's post this morning and it was ridiculous. He can come up with "10 cringeworthy moments" but he can't come up with "10 knock-your-socks moments"? He, and a lot of the others over there, seem to thrive off of criticizing her personally, yet Romney is their god. Go figure.
the second harvest and the Benton WA County GOP are using the book signing today as a chance for a food drive. There is terrible poverty in this area.

Thankfully, that blog doesn't even register on the traffic rankings, so all those Mitt supporters over there are preaching to the choir.
more weekend photos.
I love this picture

Yogi, I think I will start boycotting that site. It has gotten a little too unbalanced for my taste. Thanks for the statistic.
like she did with the letterman issue- she has done that before and is clearly able. i think she is more interested in putting truth about herself out there. i think her actions right now are not politically motivated.
she did answer the reading question multiple times... wall street journal, new york times, frontiersman, were among her answers.
she also answered the court cases question and detailed the valdez decision and how it affected her state.
i would be happy if he'd stop talking about levi now. i was glad she left him out of the book and think that now that she has answered questions about him, she can decline any further.
have fun!!!
people started lining up 26 hours before the doors opened. Here is video from 18 hours ago (it was still light outside) and you can see how many people were already there.
Yes, Sarah could indead carry her second-homestate of Washington.
http://www.keprtv.com/news/local/77934262.html
thanks for sharing. these were great!
What I've concluded about that site is it's a bunch of Mitt supporters who occasionally post articles about Sarah to generate traffic and ad revenue clicks. By all means, Sarah isn't the only one that receives all of the hate over there; they're very venemous towards Huckabee, too.
They purposely post those articles to attract the supporters of Sarah and Mike to post comments in her/his defense. Most of them are moderate in their views; they would be at home over at David Frum's site. :)
Geltson: washington went for obama the last time. Sarah is just sowing the seeds.
I know very well. I live on the east side of the Cascade Curtain. It will be rural Washington against King and Pierce County all over again.
I want people to know that this state is not out of reach with the right candidate.
Speaking of writers...RICH.. this is week #4...I'm not happy. ;)
BTW, this is in addition to the $45,000 raised at the Turkey Trot on thanksgiving. About $15,000 is from extra runners that Sarah brought in.
I don't mind the Moderates. What I do mind is the spewing of hatred and the complete unprofessionalism of their bloggers. Wasn't it last week that two bloggers were fighting each other? The site is overall a great idea, but the bloggers and commenters are ridiculous. I'm removing it off my Bookmarks.
my sister lives in walla walla. she's a homeschooler and a vegetarian.
I am happy for all those that have met and are going meet Sarah...it's a BIG deal for me when I met her last week in Roanoke. Shaking her hand and speaking to her for ten seconds were very inspiring. I had to remind her to kick Obama's butt in the debates...she laughed. It will be a memorable mark for the rest of my life.
Gelston, I agree.
I have a 5-year-old too!! We've got 7, 5, and 2 ... :)
the comments show consistent disdain for Sarah, that's ridiculous.
I've told several people and posted on more than one blog that I believed Huckabee will not run in 2011/12. The obstacles are too great. He doesn't have the GOP establishment, I think he believes he cannot beat Obama, and he senses the hurricane of Sarah. It might be different if the GOP establishment was backing him, but I don't think they will.
I believe Huck will endorse Palin. She is a unafraid openly Christian woman who has far more in common with Huck than with Mitt. Which ain't much but is something.
One thing I hope though, is that if it looks like Sarah is winning and will win or clinches the nomination, that she picks her VP soon after so they have plenty of time to gel as a campaign and unite the party early so they can go to war on Obama and his record.
Conservatives in the northwest are an odd lot.
I remember talking to a logger once about his job. He said that he was against cutting down all the forests. if he did that, how would he hunt?
I have a Native American patient who is very much into native religion. He is a strong conservative in his life style but he has never discussed politics. (BTW, he has given me a Native American name, which is an honor) He almost cries when he describes the killing of an elk and the passage of the soul of an elk to him as a warrior. It's very moving.
Whatever happened to upinak? If I remember correctly she was a little upset Sarah resigned..
Are the prior supporters that got upset over that coming around, or are they still on the sidelines?
She posts a lot over at HotAir and she's still a fierce defender of Sarah.
Thank you! I knew this sounded familiar.
<span><span>What in the world is going on out in Richland, WA? Four cops dead.</span></span>
and she/he is on the texas 4 palin site.
i miss her, too
In other words lie.
that is in Parkland and not Richland.
There was a similar ambush in South Seattle about 4 weeks ago. There was also an attack on police cars which were burnt. I believe that they hoped to kill police who arrived at the arson.
There are very radical people out here.

did you say these were coming from jerks from the RIGHT? or is it just any young bored punk with a lap top?
Awful, four dead.
The press sure made a big deal about the first "state dinner" at the WhiteHouse. What makes it a "state dinner"? It was my understanding that the Obama's are party animals and have done a pile of entertaining.
Wonder what Palin entertainment will (notice the positive thinking) be like at the WH.
Do you think most Americans like this sort of thing or would they get a kick out of the prez and her husband throwing a big barbecue on the north lawn?
Lynn Vincent's magazine World, had a cover story about the true story as well as a movie review. That story mentions Sandra Bullock's reaction. Here's the World home page if you want to search for the stories.
I saw it last night also, Bill. I had been told by friends it was great and I had seen previews. However, I was not prepared for one aspect of it. It started slowly dawning on me about half way through the movie, that Leigh Anne Tuohy, the character palyed by Sandra Bullock, is like Sarah Palin. Think about it. She "goes rogue" and challenges school officials, football coaches, a street gang, her own high society circle of friends - and anybody else that gets in the way! And she wins every time.
Actually, I believe Griffin has not been employed by the school for a couple of years and has been lying about it. Riehl uncovered that he hasn't been employed for a while but lives in a hugely expensive house. Implying that he has Dem financial backing.
I believe Riehl also uncovered that the IM source of the divorce rumors is Levi.
I don't know if most poll junkies remember this, but WA state was put in "toss up" the 2 weeks following Sarah's VP speech. ;)
Another avenue to talk with Sarah doubters then; ask them if they've seen Blind Side, and point out how Sarah is like Leigh Anne ...
Let's see, in the Cameron interview right after the debate, she mentioned the Supreme Court decisions about Exxon and Kelo, I believe.
Just last week she told Sean she reads Newsmax, the Frontiersman (Wasilla paper), and the Wall Street Journal.
If you read her FB Notes footnotes, you'll see she's quoted the WP, NYT, Cato Institute. She references Thomas Sowell, Victor Davis Hanson, and of course, Ronald Reagan.
In a Charlie Rose green room video from '09 she said her favorite authors are C.S. Lewis (whom she has quoted) and a famous running author, whose name I forget since I'm not a runner. George Sheehan?
Any more answers you're needing?

I think there'll be lots of sports teams there - based on what she did as governor.
I believe it was that same Cameron interview when she did name a number of publications that she reads. I remember seeing it last year.
And probably special needs groups.
She also blogs on Josh Painter's site occasionally.
Most frequent question from elite attendees at future Palin state dinners: "Is this moose?"
Maybe Rev. Billy Graham gave him a call.....
"Give it up, Huck..... it is obvious who has the support from on high....."
;-)
Hopefully she has a chance to host a "State Breakfast" with Reindeer (Caribou) sausage.... numnumnummmmmmm.......
I wonder, is the Andrew Smith (Palin's campaign chief of staff) mentioned on page 229 the infamous "Drew" that gave us all on Adam Brickley's DraftPalin site the scoop on the magic pre-announcement all-nighter?
