Whitney,  December 17, 2009 1:50 PM

Darn. I can't watch this at work, but judging by the captured image shown for the video, I bet it's good. I look forward to watching it later.

Mia,  December 17, 2009 1:56 PM

You guys are great.

riley4palin,  December 17, 2009 2:08 PM

Nice job on the video!

I especially liked the use of George, Candy Crowley, and NBC tape.  More bang for the buck.

Be careful though, this may call for another Eric Holder investigation into the proper use of the media when used by opposing media to score points for Palin.

riley4palin,  December 17, 2009 2:09 PM

You mean he uses shoe lifts too?  I thought the only lift Arnuld had was his face a few years ago.

Mia,  December 17, 2009 2:09 PM

Okay...Okay...he arrived in a black suburban...the sunlight hit his hair...which revealed green streaks...YIKES!!!!  Bad...Bad...Dye Job!
I took a picture with him...he said...da...gude to see hue...

I was born in California and I thought it was beautiful, but I am glad I moved out back in 1992, I would not want to have Ahhhnold as a governor

I watched it five times.  I luv it. Great job!

Whitney,  December 17, 2009 2:35 PM

I think it's a great phrase with many good uses. I plan on using it next time I play basketball or softball. I think it make an excellent trash talking phrase for sports. It's perfect acceptable for politics, laundry, traffic jams, excel spreadsheet at work, etc. as well.

PatrickinOH,  December 17, 2009 2:36 PM

If any of you had any doubts that Global Warming is really a refuge for communists after the Soviet Union collapsed:  http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2009/12/the_ghost_in_the_room_at_copen.html

thanks for proving my point Mia, I think there is hope for California but Meg Whitman sounds like another RINO so it may be a long time coming, and were you calling me a kissy face back in the open thread?

Denise J.....WHAAAAAAAT??????...You're Kidding Right???..."Tis the season...for me!...:):)

PatrickinOH,  December 17, 2009 3:18 PM

Whitney,  December 17, 2009 3:19 PM

sorry.....Mia....I'll be good...

JeanA,  December 17, 2009 3:24 PM

Sarah:  We agree to disagree.

OldVet,  December 17, 2009 3:24 PM

Patrick - I know you're right about <span>her having a spine of steel. I hope you are right that she will campaign for Rubio and (in a way) against McCain.
</span>

PatrickinOH,  December 17, 2009 3:26 PM

Crist has fallen drastically and Rubio has gone up exponentially so campaigning for Crist may soon be a fruitless exercise OldVet

PatrickinOH,  December 17, 2009 3:31 PM

Chris Henry of the Cincinnati Bengals died today please pray for him

PEC,  December 17, 2009 3:34 PM

I think she will stay out of this primary.  In fact I believe she will stay out of a lot of the primaries and save it for the General Elections.  I believe Sarah may well key on 10-20 races.  We will see.  We know Rick Perry is a big one for her.  After that she will see around the Nation.  In Nevada she will but it may be after the primaries.

PatrickinOH,  December 17, 2009 3:40 PM

a real case of calling the pot calling the kettle black: http://newsbusters.org/blogs/lachlan-markay/2009/12/17/blogger-who-bashed-palin-employing-ghostwriter-employs-ghostbloggers I think this should be a post on the front page

hrh,  December 17, 2009 3:53 PM

Probably not, PatrickinOH, it's WAYYYYY expensive. And I have 2 jobs!

It's a wait and see for me ...

sandrainoregon,  December 17, 2009 3:58 PM

I would really like to see a discussion between Palin and Schwarzenegger on the topic of green vs. jobs.  I certainly hope we can do both.  Where do the compromises have to come?  We are all having to do more with less.  More enjoyment with less pollution and more productiveness with fewer jobs.  We've probably enjoyed the illusions of expansion for too long.  Now it is time to pay the piper, but how to pay seems to be the dilemma.  The current political climate seems to be way too radical and uncompromising.  Maybe the piper will take our kids to the river while we bicker on how to pay.

xax,  December 17, 2009 4:00 PM

That's cute.  Though I do have a request.  Is it possible for a C4P or TeamSarah memeber to find out if Palin's attending CPAC.  I will not put down money unless she's coming.  Even rumors of attendance would be nice.

PatrickinOH,  December 17, 2009 4:01 PM

it is expensive for me I'm currently unemployed but when I was working I put a lot of money away in my savings and I hardly ever get to go to things like this so I figured it is worth the expense, it is $549.00 for the convention and banquet plus you have to oay your own hotel accomodations

PatrickinOH,  December 17, 2009 4:04 PM

haven't heard anything on that but she will be the keynote speaker at the Tea Party Convention in Nashville Feb 4-6

PatrickinOH,  December 17, 2009 4:04 PM

its about Andrew Sullivan

cookboy,  December 17, 2009 4:05 PM

There need not be any compromises. The whole green thing is a sack o' poop. There is plenty of coal and oil for a long long time. The only thing standing between people and prosperity is government at all levels. Town, city, county, state, federal, and if the goons in power have their way, world.

PEC,  December 17, 2009 4:11 PM

Blame it on the left.  They are not even including people on the right in their talks.  I got a great idea.  Why don't we put the former Governor with the most aggressive alternative energy policy (50% by 2025) in charge that still promotes resource development.  Who could that be?  Afterall their States unemployment was boirmally above the National average for unemployment but when they left office it was significantly less.  Who could that be Sandra?  Name this pro-Alternative Energy, Pro-Develepoment Former Governor.  I will help.  Their initials are SP.

Whitney,  December 17, 2009 4:14 PM

I personally believe that environmental stewardship should be encouraged as a matter of personal choice, not government mandate or supposedly solid science. Non-renewables are very, very plentiful, but they are finite. I think God wants us to be good stewards in everything He has provided us. However, massive government regulations will severely hamper the economy. Even if these cap and tax proposal improved the environment, people would be struggling financially due to the burdens of taxation. More and more, the evidence points to climate change being solely due to cylclical changes, rather than the influence of man.

CTSherman,  December 17, 2009 4:16 PM

Here is a very good article about Sarah from of all places, the Gulf Region.

<span>US President Palin? You betcha!

"<span>Ever since she deserted her post as governor of Alaska last summer for the good of the Alaskan people, naturally she hasn't put a foot wrong. Indeed, her strategy is quite brilliant."</span>

sandrainoregon,  December 17, 2009 4:18 PM

Are you denying the facts of pollution?  Why is it a special day when we can see the mountains we could always see when we were children?  Why do some cities have to have driving alerts and warnings to keep children indoors?  The reality of our destroying our environment is there.  Maybe it isn't so apparent where you live, but it is a problem whether you are looking or not.  Do you want to get rid of government?  It seems to be a human necessity.  Even when people run away from "government," they seem to have to set up some way of handling things.

In Oregon the settlers came from the states and wanted to be independent and have a laissez faire life style.  Guess what?  Someone died, and they had to figure out how to divide up his property.  Instant government.

Is prosperity using every thing in sight until it is all gone?  Do you have children and grandchildren?  Would you like them to grow old in a world that is enjoyable?

PEC,  December 17, 2009 4:26 PM

Better yet Sandra open up Federal OCS and other Federal lands and negotiate with the oil companies a tarriff and a % of those tariffs goes to renewable research.  Allow the oil companies to opt out of tariff if they put a certain % of revenues from federal drilling toward R&D on renewables.  Better for long range survivability of company and toward advancement of alternative energies.  Win-Win instead of liberals current lose-lose.

PatrickinOH,  December 17, 2009 4:26 PM

ok article but I don't like how the author asserts she is not smart, she is very smart, wasn't she a member of the National Honors Society in high school?

sandrainoregon,  December 17, 2009 4:27 PM

If it is only the left that is not considering compromises, then they are at fault.  SP did well as governor in keeping the economy strong, and she made some provisioins for alternative energy.  She did not inherit the mess of a hundred years of raping the environment as Californians have.  I would like to see a discussion on the solutions.  Ignoring the problem is not a solution.  Maybe SP can help Mr. Schwarzenegger.  He should listen.  But all I have heard from both of them is soundbites.  They need a substantial discussion for her to help.

KentonAK,  December 17, 2009 4:28 PM

To all the 'Visorgate' critics (and micro-managers):

"BOOM! Taste My Visor!"

PatrickinOH,  December 17, 2009 4:29 PM

here is an interesting article about Palin hatred: http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/ibbetson/091217

PEC,  December 17, 2009 4:30 PM

Your right Sandra.  The spirit of minimum Government Control died in Oregon as is evident as to who they voted for President.  Don't want or need Governm, ent in every facet of my life.  I can name some leaders that enjoyed that.  Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini.  Their Governments loved to be all in peoples life.  Is that what you want?

Oh do you agree with the Former governor that promotes both Alternative energy and responsible resource development.

cookboy,  December 17, 2009 4:31 PM

The only legitimate functions of the federal gov't are coining money, arbitrating disputes between states, defending our borders, and protecting the rights of individual citizens. Anything else is up to the state and municipal governments.

cookboy,  December 17, 2009 4:31 PM

And I don't view toiling for an oppressive government as enjoyable.

PEC,  December 17, 2009 4:34 PM

Sandra - You are also mixing Apples and oranges.  Pollution (some scientist believe actually cools the earth) is one thing Climate Change is another.  I can tell you I rode through West Virginia this summer and despite coal mining there for some time it is still beautiful.  Smog is an issue that has actually improved some in our life.  Trust me I have been to Iraq and India their air pollution is WAAAYYY worse than ours and I don't need an Al Gore Snake Oil Scientist to tell me otherwise.

Firelight,  December 17, 2009 4:35 PM

LOL, that video made my day!!!!

I don't understand why people can't value clean air, clean water, nature and being healthy and not buy into the GW crap.  I just don't get the whole "goal".  If we are to buy into climate change, does that mean we strive for climate stagnation?  What are the consequences of that?  Has that been studied?

Here's my theory,  MY God created this planet.  It changes, grows, thrives, dies on a daily basis.  No sunset is ever the same. I owe MY God the respect of taking care of it out of appreciation but to think that I could "control" this beautiful planet is egotistical, narcissistic and arrogant.  With each new day, change is necessary and hope is abundant.

Honestly people, has anyone in our history ever created something as self-sustaining, symbiotic, and perfect as our planet or a human being from nothing??  Any scientist even come close?

cookboy,  December 17, 2009 4:37 PM

Who bankrolled the start up of the coal and oil industries? If something is viable, somebody is gonna develop it and make it work. Profitably.

sandrainoregon,  December 17, 2009 4:37 PM

Cookboy:  you are shifting the argument.  I was addressing government in the generic as I thought you were.  Forget about where it is based, we seem to have to have some government.  I didn't see your post about protecting the rights of individual citizens.  This is definitely the biggest task of government.

When the Oregonians of yore had to figure out how to divide up the dead person's property, I'm sure there was a lot of debate of how to do it.  Fortunately in this country we can continue the debate.

PEC,  December 17, 2009 4:38 PM

Could care less about helping Arnold.  She needs to help the enitre US but we have to wait until 2013 for that Sandra.
Oh Oregon is a beutiful place.  I work with a couple of Oregon grads.  Good Folks. I have to ask where he is from, she is from a farming area in the Southwestern part of the State.  Her family raised sheep.

PatrickinOH,  December 17, 2009 4:38 PM

Very good point s you make firelight I was thinking the same thing yesterday about how some peopl can be so arrogant that they would honestly think that they could control the climate, I think this is due to the fact that a lot of these people do not believe in God so therefore Global Warming has become their religion, They make the mistake of worshipping man, whose nature is fallen, when they should be trusting in God

cookboy,  December 17, 2009 4:40 PM

Take the chia pet as an example. Environmentally friendly, edible, educational, aesthetically pleasing, and fun! Providing pleasure to millions, employment to some, and paying taxes, all at the same time.

PEC,  December 17, 2009 4:40 PM

California went to the extreme both ways.  They need to be conservatives and form the balanced middle.  Well common sense conservative.  Not those bufoons in Washington.

manajordan,  December 17, 2009 4:41 PM

Yay! I'm glad this got posted here. Good work Sheya. I follow you on twitter so I saw this video yesterday, and was laughing out loud.

manajordan,  December 17, 2009 4:42 PM

Towards the end Arnold starts to look like the baby version of him from his movie "Junior" LOL

sandrainoregon,  December 17, 2009 4:43 PM

The former governor I completely supported and campaigned for was Bob Straub.  He tried to develop renewable resources and kept running into opposition by the oil companies.  We had considerable thermal energy sources in southern Oregon that were bought up by the oil companies so they wouldn't be developed.  He fought for the preservation of pristine spots of nature.  Some of these have been named for him.

I don't know who we voted for in those days.  I think it was Nixon because Ford was president when Straub was elected.  I don't think anyone voted for Hitler, Stalin, or Mussolini.

cookboy,  December 17, 2009 4:44 PM

What is the problem, specifically?

cookboy,  December 17, 2009 4:45 PM

I think there is some precedent for the casting of lots.

PEC,  December 17, 2009 4:45 PM

Oh by the way Sandra.  I wish somebody did build me an affordable windmill, wind powered car etc. that saved me on my electric bill and gas bill. Until then I want a balance and I like to minimize pollution while not going back to a cave (of course Cavemen built fires so that isnt a good description because Gore wouldn't allow the burning of firewood).

cookboy,  December 17, 2009 4:53 PM

I thought wood burning was carbon neutral, to use the lingo.

Wildmanbill,  December 17, 2009 4:54 PM

LOL!! I have to show the wife this video. She keeps using the nightstick line over and over.

PatrickinOH,  December 17, 2009 4:55 PM

I think its really stupid how people claim that C02 emissions are warming the planet, if we follow that logic than by the very fact that we are breathing we are warming the earth

sandrainoregon,  December 17, 2009 4:57 PM

As usual, you are cutting to the chase.  I think you brought it up when you said that promoting "green" was a "bag of poop."  And then you said that you didn't want any government.  This discussion has gotten out of hand.  The problem is that we are losing the environment we once enjoyed, we have an economy that is sagging, and those who have jobs are doing the work of 1.5 people because the efficient workers left a long time ago.  We are disagreeing on how to handle problems we can't even agree exist.  Thank you, cookboy, for attempting to center this discussion.

riley4palin,  December 17, 2009 5:03 PM

My two cents:

Global Warming and the Environment are very low priorities for the average American.

I have listened to the Hollywood crowd for years proclaiming their "good deeds" of saving this plant, saving this tree, please drive Smart cars, etc.  When Schwartzenegger won the election, I knew from that day forward the Hollywood liberals would get inside his head and he would be spouting all this mumbo jumbo to please them.  It didn't help matters than he spends holidays with the Kennedy clan.

As a 40 year old woman living in middle America all her life, my questions have always been the following:

1)  Why is Hollywood more concerned about saving a Tree than saving a baby?
2)  Why is Hollywood more concerned about the pollution, global warming, and the environment when they live in 20,000 sq ft homes, drive 5 cars, own private planes, and use a limo to and from the Oscars?
3)  Why is Hollywood more concerned about public service announcements about going green, when they could be donating 90% of their income to the less fortunate?
4)  Why is Hollywood more concerned about telling us what to do with our hard earned money when their biggest stress is which dance club they will be going to and who will be there to take some photo ops?
5)  Why does Hollywood continue to spend millions of dollars to promote their agendas when they should know by now that we in the fly over states are smart, well informed people who will spend their money on what they want?

Arnold Schwartzenegger has been a liability to the entire state of California for many years.  That is the truth.  I guess the state should have known better than to elect an Actor who's biggest accomplishment was staring in movies that had limited dialogue and lots of ego.

Nancy,  December 17, 2009 5:05 PM

Sheya and Joshua,
THAT. IS. AWESOME.

Love it!:)

Love That Lady,  December 17, 2009 5:09 PM

Thank you so much, This video is great.
:D

cookboy,  December 17, 2009 5:10 PM

I didn't say I didn't want any government. I said gov't was the obstacle between people and prosperity. We are also losing the looks we once had. That is part of aging. Our existence implies the alteration of our environment. Part of going forth and having dominion, ya know. As for 1 person doiung the work of 1.5, that defines efficiency, does it not? In my business, that happens not when efficient people leave, but when good people do the work of slackers, who are then terminated, allowing the efficient to make more money and be happy!

cookboy,  December 17, 2009 5:16 PM

As a 50 year old adolescent man living on the east coast, the short answer to nos. 1 thru 5 would be.....THEY SUCK! A slightly more sophisticated answer would be that their brains, such as they are, are addled by drugs, alcohol, or narcissism. Or that maybe their brains are just warm and brown.

CudaCountry,  December 17, 2009 5:18 PM

Boom! Yea Sarah!

cookboy,  December 17, 2009 5:19 PM

CO2 is a by product of warming, not a cause. Any chef worth a damn should understand that.

Sheya,  December 17, 2009 5:20 PM

Sheya,  December 17, 2009 5:21 PM

Does anyone know what happened to the avatar tab in the user profile option?

hrh,  December 17, 2009 5:36 PM

Yep, so with hotel and travel (I'm in CT), I'm looking at a grand. About 98% impossible at this time ...

Whitney,  December 17, 2009 5:44 PM

OT

I just returned from a presentation on new National Institutes of Health grant guidelines. They are reducing the page limits for their grants. I wish that they same could be said of Congress.

DefCon66,  December 17, 2009 5:46 PM

LMAO, oh that was great, thank you Sheya! HAHAHAHAHA!

yogi41,  December 17, 2009 6:23 PM

O/T again... but a poster named Roxanne just marked your comment as "Like". I wanted to comment on your avatar, Roxanne. It's adorable... a winking snowman!

Roxanne,  December 17, 2009 6:49 PM

Thanks Yogi, you are very observant. ; )

sandrainoregon,  December 17, 2009 6:49 PM

Having dominion is a positive?  Why can't we be part of our planet?  We certainly need to respect the other life forms.  Manifest destiny, etc.  ????

I have seen the problems in job reduction first hand.  We probably all have.  When you have to work for 1.5 people, you are not necessarily more efficient.  Things and people get overlooked, and you are more tired at the end of the day.  What I have seen is that people who were already making up for the slackers got saddled with more responsibilities and burned out or left.  You are lucky that you can make more money in that situation.  Usually it is the employer that makes more money.

Whitney,  December 17, 2009 6:51 PM

I finally got the chance to watch this. Excellent job!:)

sandrainoregon,  December 17, 2009 6:55 PM

I think the problem is the excessive CO2 that gets stuck in the gravitational field and causes more warming by the "greenhouse" effect.  By burning so much carbon that was laid down over eons, we have exceeded the capacity of our planet to get rid of it.  Our contributions have speeded up the process.

Yes, our breathing can contribute.  Look how many people are on the planet now.  And, at one time we had forests all over.  When our country was founded, they've said a squirrel could go from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mississippi without touching the ground.  The squirrels (actually their ancestors) in my yard migrated to Oregon and told me this is part of squirrel lore.

Don't be surprised if Sarah supports Joe in 2012, and Joe supports Sarah in 2012, both run as Republicans and both carry CN.

http://hotair.com/archives/2009/12/17/video-joe-lieberman-republican/

Joe might switch before 2012, especially if Republicans will be in the majority in 2011 or 2013.

Ask if they have a way for you to trade work for the fee. They probably need a crew.

He isn't worthy of comment.

OldDude,  December 17, 2009 7:09 PM

XLNT work Sheya and Joshua!

The California farmers in the valley are currently getting waterboarded by the environmentalists!  Get ready for increases in food prices a la the ethanol scam.

I'm getting from Mia's reports earlier, that Arnold is guilty of heightening.
(Seinfeld)
And that if not for said, heightening, the comedy classic movie Twins, would not have been nearly so funny.

LOl ...

I remember watching the DVD commentary on how they made the movie The Poseidon Adventure with Kurt Russell. They described in the painstaking detail that went into creating each scene, the replica of the ship, and how Kurt had to have 17 identical white dress shirts to get him through the shooting process.

My husband and I looked at each other and thought: These Hollywood nutjobs could singlehandledly reduce one of the largest sources of C02 emissions by simply SHUTTING DOWN ALL THEIR LOTS.

Seriously, Hollywood is not really necessary. If using resources for non-necessary things is bad, then we should shut down Hollywood. They're recreating REALITY for gosh sakes.

Andrew,  December 17, 2009 7:26 PM

Something happening with the avatars?

Sapwolf,  December 17, 2009 7:27 PM

Awesome video!  Ahnold is such a goofball.  I love how Copenhagen is getting all snowy and cold.  God has a great sense of humor.

Been happening all day

The avatar tab in the edit profile option has disappeared.  You can wrangle an avatar out of the sign in box at the bottom of the thread if you play around long enough.

My compliments to Joshua as well, sorry I didnt notice your contribution at first.

Brian72,  December 17, 2009 7:34 PM

Holy crap. I'm only two hours west on I-40 and I can't afford that, not at Christmas.
all I want to do is be there for the Sarah speech anyway. What does that cost?

cookboy,  December 17, 2009 7:38 PM

I am the employer. What you do not, or choose not to understand, is that the evil employers, through their horrendous greed, are happy to treat and pay very well those who make them more money. Those who do not are not worth keeping around. In this way, people learn to behave in a manner that results in their being rewarded with that which feeds, clothes, and houses them. As for fatigue at the end of the day, that's the way it's supposed to be. Less insomnia, less vice, less crime. Fewer police are needed, fewer jails, fewer prisons. People are happier, as they have a sense of real accomplishment each day. Life is good!

Bear something in mind, Sandra: one of the solutions to the use of fossil fuels, for example, is the use of clean, modern nuclear power. The Japanese, the French, and the British are light years ahead of us on this. Why? Our nuclear industry has collapsed because of constant lawsuits from the left and the need for an extended approval time from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Government, Sandra. GOVERNMENT!!!! It is at least five years away from approval of the next nuclear plant in the U.S. because the Left and their friends in Government want to kill the nuclear industry in this country (with the help of a steady stream of money from Saudi lobbying concerns, I might add). Meanwhile, the rest of the world is racing into the energy future while we fall behind.

Government has a regulatory role, but at this point, it is an impediment to economic progress.

Brian72,  December 17, 2009 7:41 PM

Uhhhh....ok.

Kjanlady,  December 17, 2009 7:45 PM

I used to like AAHHNOLD......another Hollywood actor on my dumbass list....his movies never had any intellectual value but could be entertaining.....Kindergarten Cop....who knew his IQ was lower than the kids in this movie.....contemplating moving back to Austria, Arnold......oh well, some immigrants acquire the American dream and some get stuck on stupid....

Sounds like science fantasy to me. There is no excessive CO2. Only excessive hot air from the blowholes of those who apparently don't work hard enough or long enough each day. A squirrel can now go from Washington DC to Tokyo Japan without touching the ground. Man, in his endless quest to improve upon the known best, has developed air travel! Marvelous machines that carry men and cargo far above the earth at great speeds over great distances. This has resulted in more and more people being more and more aware of their home planet, its people, and their environment.

sandrainoregon,  December 17, 2009 7:50 PM

Well, Cookboy, maybe I should have recognized you in Atlas Shrugged.  It is a lot simpler in a small business.  My experience has been in large institutions where there are many levels of management trying to look good.  Even if they aren't your manager they will find a way to pass the extra work on to you.  And you expect to be rewarded with fatigue?  What happens to the parent who is so overworked on the job that there is no energy left for parenting.

As for reducing crime...something is wrong with that.  If I cannot get ahead by working.  If I do all the extra my employer wants me to and get nothing more, how am I going to pay the bills?  Maybe I'll start selling stuff out the back door.

I can see we've had very different life experiences.  It sounds as if you've had much better ones.

CTSherman,  December 17, 2009 7:54 PM

That would be fine by me. I would love to see the Cuda campaigning here in the nutmeg state. That would be something to stay home for! I voted for Joe in 06'. I knew the GOP candidate  wasn't going to win (can't even remember who it was) and the alternative was Ned Lamont. While Joe is somewhat fiscally conservative and socially liberal, he does have an open mind and he's right in line with most "conservatives" when it comes to foreign policy. There aren't ANY perfect candidates. Some might be perfect for me though (Sarah Palin). Other's you take the good with the bad. With Lieberman you get the good with the bad.

I'm curious what others here in CT think about the upcoming senate race. I travel a great deal and don't have the time to get involved locally, other than financially.  I can say the only candidate I have gotten any mail from is Linda McMahon.

sandrainoregon,  December 17, 2009 7:55 PM

I don't know if the government is the problem here.  I think the people have an unrealistic fear of nuclear power.  I was contemplating this discussion today and thinking how at one time I thought nuclear power plants should be established under cities so we could use the heated water for heating (and cooling) our homes.  When there were attempts to radiate produce to prevent the spread of pests, the clamour was awful.  The average person interpreted that to mean the food would be radioactive.  Our government listens, but the change can be slow.  Meanwhile we try to cope.

PatrickinOH,  December 17, 2009 7:55 PM

ok you can purchase a ticket for the banquet which gets you the Palin speech its only $349 plus 9.71 processing fee plus you have to pay for your own hotel accomodations

PatrickinOH,  December 17, 2009 7:58 PM

but look at this:
Schedule is subject to change. We continue to be in negotiations with speakers for discussion panels and breakout sessions and will list them as each is finalized.
what if Sarah decides to do a discussion panel as well?

Gilamonster,  December 17, 2009 8:04 PM

Sheya, I've been watching this site for well over a year and you just got me to make my 2nd post.  lmao, lmao, lmao

cookboy,  December 17, 2009 8:10 PM

Big job? Small rewards? Quit! There are 985 jobs listed on craigslist in my town. Maybe you need to move to an area with more going on.
I'm a parent with 2 teenagers and an 11 month old baby. I work 28 days a month, sometimes more. God gives me incredible strength and energy. He has never given me more than I can take.
And what is wrong with reducing crime?  If you can't get ahead by working, you've got two choices. Work harder. Or work smarter.
Sure we've had different life experiences. If you think somebody, anybody else, has had better ones, maybe you need to start living the life you want. As George Clinton said, "Free your mind, Your a@@ will follow."

cookboy,  December 17, 2009 8:14 PM

A regulatory role, and they're doing a damn poor job of it. Ron Turcotte had a regulatory role on Secretariat, and he won A Triple Crown!

defendAmerica,  December 17, 2009 8:18 PM

OH SHEYA!!!

I just got home from the longest, most awful day at work and THAT just made everything totally worth it!

Well Done!!!

defendAmerica,  December 17, 2009 8:21 PM

she is on their list of invited people, but has yet to confirm.  most others on the list are also still "invited" with very few "confirmed"

i think cpac has taken a hit with Keane acting like a RINO as of recent.  I think most true conservatives are holding out a while before they decide if they are speaking there...

i also am waiting for her to confirm.   i have been there every year for years, but last year was disappointed with most of the speakers (although Rush and Coulter were great...)

in fact I paid $200 for the Reagan banquet and it was keynoted by the great conservative... Mark Sanford...

Izzy,  December 17, 2009 9:22 PM

I laughed myself to tears.  Thanks Sheya.  And God bless our Sarah.

A,  December 17, 2009 9:49 PM

Several Republicans. Varied group.

Dems want Dodd to quit. He hasn't.

sandrainoregon,  December 17, 2009 10:07 PM

I would probably not qualify for any jobs advertised on Craig's list.  I am a professional with so many degrees that no one would hire me.  Also, I happen to be 69 years old.  This is a recurrent nightmare that I have.  If I needed a job, I could not get one.  The experiences I describe are why I took early retirement.

My life now is pretty good.  I get to enjoy beautiful grandchildren a couple of times a week.  I enjoy delivering meals on wheels to people who are where I sometime will be.  And I save up to enjoy wonderful Elderhostel trips to keep growing.

Unfortunately, I see way too many people who have not ended up where I am.  I am thankful I have never had to steal.  My children never missed a meal.  But the reality is that a lot of people have had to steal to feed their families.

Thank you for continuing the discussion.  I'm glad you reward your employees appropriately.

sandrainoregon,  December 17, 2009 10:35 PM

I was commenting on the trees.

Kjanlady,  December 17, 2009 10:48 PM

Pretty obvious you have absolutely no scientific trainingt....maybe you should do a little reading before trying to share your deluded comments.

Paddy Hugh of Oz,  December 17, 2009 10:57 PM

I knew it was only a matter of time before C4P adopted that as a Palin slogan! Huzzah!!

Should she pay Shatner royalties? Nah. He should be paying her...

M. Minnesota,  December 17, 2009 11:55 PM

Yes, Meg Whitman is another CLULESS RINO FOR CALIFORNIA.  There is a 20 some Second video of her on you tube trying to sound all "with it" by saying she thought VAN JONES WAS COOL!!!!  She didn't know Van Jones from ADAM!!!

M. Minnesota,  December 18, 2009 12:01 AM

Hope one of them is Bachmann!!

Adrienne Ross,  December 18, 2009 12:07 AM

Whitney,

Let's get a game of one-on-one basketball going, agree to use the phrase to trash talk, and compete to see who gets to use it on the other first!

Boom!  Taste my nightstick!

M. Minnesota,  December 18, 2009 12:14 AM

Good point Patrick. Liberals can see the fall of Mankind but don't want to acknowledge how how we all got thier (our rebelllion to God)   too personal and risky. Much easier to make busywork and beleive in Evolution which is not risky and not personal.

sandrainoregon,  December 18, 2009 8:30 AM

Actually, I have several degrees in science.  Would you share the points that you think are delusion?
