Going Rogue in the Southwest
Governor Palin resumed her book tour today in Tempe, Arizona. KSAZ 10, the local Fox News affilate, has more:
Hundreds of Sarah Palin fans flocked to a Costco store in Tempe on Tuesday to meet the former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate and get her to autograph their copies of "Going Rogue."
Palin arrived away from the hordes but greeted a few supporters outside who yelled, "We love you, Sarah!"
She shook several of their hands as she held her youngest child, Trig, on her hip.
Supporters told her, "God bless you," "You're even lovier in person," and that she should run for president. She thanked them for coming and told them to "keep up the good fight."
"Wow. That pretty much made my week," said Mark Smith, 46, of the Phoenix suburb of Mesa, one of those who shook Palin's hand. "My knees are shaking. It was an adrenaline rush."
Once inside, she was met by Drew Sweatte, 23, of Palm Springs, Calif., who drove more than four hours and then waited for more than 24 hours to be the first to have his book signed.
"It was everything I hoped it would be and more," Sweatte said afterward. "You can just feel the sincerity and warmth and love from her. This is what I looked forward to more than anything else in life."
Much more here, including at least four videos. (Click on the "double size" icon at the bottom of the video and it will double in size wand more video links will appear beneath. They're all worth watching.) More from Tempe, including pictures and video here and here. To get an idea how long the line was in Tempe, watch the following amateur videos below.
Governor Palin is now heading to Roswell, New Mexico where thousands are already lined up to get their books signed. In case anyone missed Hal's post earlier today, Harper Collins increased their production run of Going Rogue again...to 2.8 million copies.

Sarah Palin and I agree-CBS news has no credibility after the litte stunt they pulled by linking to a Trig Truther blog. It is a disgrace to any journalistic standard.
O/T huckabee on hannity making excuses for pardoning the cop killer. He would do the same thing again if presented with the same facts (hence doubling down on stupid)Essentially he washes his hands of the whole affair, and would like to offer his personal condolences to the family. hannity totally losing credibilty by his coddling interview.
Sarah is our Esther. Her enemies fall by the wayside. Can't believe the number of prayer warriors out there.
I'll say it again. Like Jake and Ellwood, she's on a mission from God.
*jumping up and down* She's getting closer to Texas!!! Friday I get to see her!
huckabee on the fall palin on the rise. Pawlenty is trying to steal huck voters. Palin's book tour timing is God like politically if she want to goble up huck voters.
Oh great, here we go again. More videos of white, grounded, stable people waiting in long lines to get their book signed by Governor Palin.
I hate the whiteys.
It's like everything is just falling into place.
Huckabee is toast. Romneycare...no way.
Pawlenty...who?
You couldn't write a book or movie any better than this. This really feels like the hand of GOD is all over this doesn't it? :-)
BTW...did you all hear that Rush is getting married????
Yep..#4 on the 4th of July.
Huckabee is a joke. Sarah Palin takes responsibility for her mistakes. He will not in this instance. This has made me lose a lot of respect for him.
Complete Bull Shi'ite, All Barack Channel, Nationalized Barack Channel, Communist News Network, Masking Servitude Democrat National Committee, New York Slimes, Washington Compost, Alanta Urinal-Constipation, Anchorage Daily Pravda, I could go on.
Instead of a '75 Dodge Coronet police cruiser, she can drive a '70 Hemi 'Cuda ragtop.
<span>Pawlenty...who? </span>
It's like a kugel, but Italian, I think.
Seriously? Wow. I hope he gets a pre-nup. (ducking for cover)
I hope, hope, hope, hope, that Ann Coulter or Michelle Malkin lay into both BOR and Hannity for their defense of Huck the next time they are on the show.
Unlike the O, who thinks he is one.
LOL
Rush may not have mastered the art of marriage yet, but he isn't dumb about his personal wealth. Perhaps that is why the wedding isn't until July to make sure the pre-nup is sound.
I hope he's found the right one, finally.
Thank you for a good laugh today. I needed it.
If I wasn't laughing at these pathetic propaganda organs, I would have to cry.
maybe he'll finally have a little Maha Rushie
Hannity isn't a perfect man, but he is good friend of the conservative cause and Sarah Palin.
I don't hate Huckabee. I still think he can do a lot of good. But I don't want him running for President.
I'm sure if all these people were told that Gov. Palin has actually used a plain during part of her tour, they would have gone home and would have thrown her book away, right, CBS, ABC, and all you other a-holes, is that what your little peabrains have come up with?
While waiting in line for the Tempe signing, I caught up on Ag news with WGN Ag show podcast.
I learned that, on the first day of deer hunting season, Tim P shot a deer, but ... it got away. He couldn't find it.
Give Tim P credit, he is trying.
Hey. I haven't heard anyone mention it, so.. If someone wants a conspirarcy theory, well she is in Roswell about now - you know THE ROSWELL! Why did she go there???
"<span>ROSWELL! Why did she go there???"</span>
That is what they are saying in Hobbs.
Also, don't forget Huckabee is also on FNC. It's not they look either, having a guy who pardoned a cop killer hosting a show. Of course they'll try and help him out.
As for politics, if the media is correct that this ends Huckabee's chances(and it may well, although there's still a long way to go), it can only help Gov Palin. Huckabee's evangelical/populist/rural/southern support will naturally flow her way instead of the Boston Brahmin's. Especially in the key state of Iowa. Huckabee can't stand Romney and if he sees that he's out becuase of this or simply decided not to run for whatever reason, I'd think he'd do whatver possible to assure that Romney loses.
Combine this with Sanford's implosion earlier in the year and the two main conservative rivals appear to have fallen by the wayside. Sanford was a lock to win SC and every SC winner has won the nomination. Again, she probably has a much better chance in SC than Romney who had well-documented troubles in the South last year.
Romney and Pawlenty will likely compete to become the leader of "anti-Palin forces" to use a term from a certain blogger. To be the moderate pragmatist alternative. But there doesn't appear to be much on the conservative side. The only potential big names I see are Cheney, Jeb Bush or Petraeus. After W, the Bush family is likely finished. Cheney will be 72 and still have his pacemaker and 5 heart attacks in 2012(also, he'll still have been the VP for the most unpopular administration in US history). And Petraeus is a huge long shot. But the conservative field is clearing. And in a process where the most important state is 90% conservative, 45% very conservative, 60% evangelical, 86% Republican, and 70% small city and rural...well, that's just very good news.
At College of The Ozarks planning for a big day tomorrow afternoon and evening.
Thankful for the opportunity to witness Sarah doing her thing and the effect she has on people.
Will try to take it all in stride but know the excitment will be high.
Let all know how it goes.
My favorite photo of Sunday in Richland http://jforbes.us/spcp/hug.html
See the photos and video I got here: http://teablog.us/blog/
<span>I just talked to the folks at KOB.com in NM. They will have video of Sarah right after their 10:00 news cast

She's a practical Alaskan.... A 4WD pickup with BIG tires (and a snow-plow on the front).....
Proper Alaskan hunting protocol is you ALWAYS track wounded game..... no matter HOW long it takes! It disrespects the hunt to leave an animal to suffer and is a criminal waste of meat!
I think that is the attitude Outside Alaska too.
