She always sounds so comfortable with these guys in AK who have been talking to her for years.. She seems to trust that even if they don't always agree with her they're not fishing for "gotcha" soundbites.

She also seems to enjoy talking about Alaskan issues like ACES.

That was another great interview. Thanks for posting it. There were some interesting questions about her family and such. I loved her answers. She is driven by the welfare of others, especially her family.

I have to disagree with one assumption by the radio guy....that having children may have made her a softer politician........

#1  Sarah is not nor never has been a soft politician.....she's a fighter and will go to the mat for her principles......she's not a pushover.....she's a realist who understands that not every effort will end in a win for 100% of her position but she will fight for the best deal for those she serves.....and if the final outcome is 80% of her position....that's a win for the people.

#2  Sarah is not a soft politician who makes deals for the benifit of her political future.  We certainly have seen this kind of "soft" politician in our local, state and national political arenas.

#3  Being a mother does not make anyone soft, especially Sarah.  Having kids may actually make you tougher, more diplomatic and certainly more determined.  Sarah seeks office to make life better for the people she serves including her kids and the kids of every voter.

#4 How many male politicians would this interviewer ask that same question?  Double standards exist.

Sarah did another fantastic interview.....who says that she doesn't have a political platform?  Sounds like one to me.....one that I can get behind and support.

Over 1,100,000 while at SEA, probably changing planes.

God's plan is always perfect. Go, Sarah, go!

my only beef is sarah needs to say the words "abused an exploit in the ethics act". when talking about why she left office.

The radio guy used the wrong word. Having children have made her a *better* politician, not "softer". I like this interview because Sarah talked a little slower than normal for her. I still say that slowing down a little makes her sound more thoughtful, and I like it a lot.

Sarah is not only smart, she's wise beyond her years.

How many people would pick a political act or misstatement for a "do over" because it was costly politically?  She didn't.

First, she understands the clear rule of life that we grow so much more through sufferings and mistakes if we will learn from them.  She has learned from them.

Second, she picked toughening up the state ethics reforms so they couldn't be so freely abused.  Those abuses hurt the state of Alaska as she makes clear in Going Rogue. And she loves Alaska more than her political career.  It continues to amaze me that people are still trying to figure out why she resigned.  She made it so clear from the beginning.

This is a woman of wisdom, heart and a true public servant.  What a privilege to be able to encourage her a little.  SarahPac!
