Gridiron/Post-Fairfax Book Signing Open Thread; Updated

The Gridiron is tonight. Greta tells us that Sarah and Todd Palin are going to the Gridiron with Judy Woodruff and Bloomberg's Al Hunt.

Greta also attended the Palin book signing in Fairfax and provides some video of the event.

The Washington Post reports that "[t]wo thousand brave cold, snow for Palin book signing in Fairfax."

If you were one of the two thousand braving the elements today in Fairfax, leave a comment or a tip.

It's thankfully not snowing here in the Pacific Northwest. What else is going on?

Update by Doug: News 8, Washington's ABC affiliate, has more on Governor Palin's Fairfax book signing here. For an interesting picture of people waiting in the snow, go here.

Update II by TR: The Gridiron will be allowing Tweets tonight (h/t HRH)

Update III by TR: John King from CNN is tweeting at the Gridiron.

Update by Mel: Forget politics. Let's talk about the important news: Alabama defeats Florida to win the SEC Championship. They'll play for the National Championship. Texas and Nebraska are playing now on ABC. If Texas wins, it's Alabama vs. Texas for the title. If Texas loses, it's all up in the air.

Update II by Mel: Texas wins on a last second field goal. So it should be Alabama vs. Texas in the title game.

What time is the Gridiron dinner, and will it be broadcast? There's nothing about it on C-SPAN's schedule.

NOT SNOWING IN THE PACIIFIC NORTHWEST? NOT SNOWING IN THE PACIFIC NORETHWEST? NOT SNOWING IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST?
Where is my ulcer medication when I need it the most?
Attorney Report, may I please approach the bench?
The forcast for Manajordan, Neo and me is for a Wasilla Artic Front to move through will winds to 30 MPH or more and temps to zero by 12/6 evening.
Does any one here have a Prilosec OTC that I could borrow?

Hey, How's everyone doing on this fine Saturday? We probably have received 6 inches of snow in the last few hours. Yes. Ya gotta love the snow.

Did everyone see the pictures of the Guv at the Fairfax signing. Wow. She looks fantastic.

Check out this picture. Man the Guv sure likes her high heels. If I wore those outside in the snow, I would be down for the count.

I can't believe she'd sit at the same table as Al Hunt. Has she read some of the crap he's written about her?

gelston the knowitall,  December 5, 2009 3:25 PM

that's a good reason to sit there.

Lakerfanalways,  December 5, 2009 3:26 PM

Sarah Palin in the same room with Barney Frank..ya think he will get all wee weed up for her LOL

Amanda K,  December 5, 2009 3:26 PM

My goodness, I bet the Guv felt right at home in all that snow!

hrh,  December 5, 2009 3:27 PM

Wow, you guys are fast, so hard to keep up with!

I just posted this on the #1 post, but it fits better here:

<span>Check this out:

For the first time, the GridIron Dinner is going to allow tweeting.

Could that have anything to do with the fact that Sarah Palin canNOT do a private event without a DOZEN people tweeting it for the outside world? Witness her College of the Ozarks speech just this week.

Ha Ha! Sarah's first time at this longstanding DC event - and she's already changing Washington! :)</span>

hrh,  December 5, 2009 3:29 PM

Me, too.

But I think she wears 'em to make herself taller in the man's world of politics she's been inhabiting all these years...

Penny,  December 5, 2009 3:29 PM

We're cold over here on the Western front too, Gelston, but thankfully no snow.  Beautiful and sunny right now, but too frosty to play golf.  :(  We're going to get very, very cold starting tomorrow too.

OT, still grinning about how stunning Sarah looks today in the cute little hat amid snow on the East coast.

hrh,  December 5, 2009 3:30 PM

Wow, look at that snow and the crowds. Thanks for the pix. :)

hrh,  December 5, 2009 3:30 PM

How ironic it's snowing in Houston and VA - and raining in CT. :(

Anonymous,  December 5, 2009 3:32 PM

I liked the hat Sarah and seeing Todd with you.  No one else could draw two thousand in a snow storm.

gelston the knowitall,  December 5, 2009 3:33 PM

I agree with your comments about that picture.
Her absolute joy could be a Christmas card.
God bless her.

... And God bless you too, Penny

Anonymous,  December 5, 2009 3:36 PM

From one guest to another, happens to me all the time. :-(

Check out the previous Fairfax thread for my observations, including the protester who called Trig "retarded."

Money Maven,  December 5, 2009 3:36 PM

Wow!  She really is an Alaskan in heels an snow.

Robert_Paulson,  December 5, 2009 3:38 PM

I guess it worked with Andrea Mitchell (somewhat). Maybe she can work some magic on Al Hunt, too.

Penny,  December 5, 2009 3:42 PM

Thanks Gelston!

You know, I am so looking forward to meeting all the other WA C4Pers when Sarah makes her way here to campaign for a conservative in one of our local/state races.  What a great group of people here on C4P.  Truly delightful!

Lakerfanalways,  December 5, 2009 3:44 PM

They should change the saying to Washington DC has a lot of twits LOL..WOW, So Sarah comes to Washington and now they are gonna allow tweeting..amazong..she is already making a difference :-) Sarah in ar oom with a bunch of libs, should she bring her bullet proof vest

Dan C,  December 5, 2009 3:47 PM

I noticed "were not gonna take it" by twisted sister was playing in the background in one of those greta videos! Classic 80's rock song.

I hope sells even more books as christmas gifts!

Dan C,  December 5, 2009 3:48 PM

I honestly cant even look at barney frank. Every time he talks and lies, I get physically sick lol. I turn the channel whenever I see him on. There are a few others I also cant stomach.

manajordan,  December 5, 2009 3:48 PM

Gelston,
My thoughts exactly. It's going to be a very cold week. I'm looking forward to camping out for the Guv's signing this week.

TangledThorns,  December 5, 2009 3:53 PM

I live 20min from today's book signging and feel bad I didn't go.... Ugh! Kudos to everyone else who did!!

Lakerfanalways,  December 5, 2009 3:53 PM

That hat is AWESOME. Looks like one of those army hats, and she has that look on her face like "Dont F with me" LOVE IT

Nancy,  December 5, 2009 3:55 PM

My niece is a student at College of the Ozarks and so I asked her what her impressions of Governor Palin and her speech were. I thought you might like a C of O studen'ts perspective:

My opinion of her went up. Her speech was different than I expected. Much more political and about her, not in a bad way, just surprising. She was very patriotic, emphasizing Americans' desire for and right to freedom, pride in the armed forces, etc. She did emphasize God alot, which I appreciated. There was alot of clapping.:)

Izzy,  December 5, 2009 3:58 PM

Another amazing day meeting our Sarah.  As some of you know, I met Gov. Palin on her book tour Nov. 22nd. at Roanoke, VA.  Today I had another opportunity to me Sarah, Todd, Sarah's Dad and Mom, her auntie.  It was big for me.

I arrived at the Fairfax mall around 7:30 am.  It was raining.  Within the next hour it started to snow but the multitude were not going anywhere.  I kept busy for the most part listening to Sarah's audio book on my iphone.  By 10:45 am, Gov. Palin arrived...it did not take long, by 11:00 the first bunch of people went in (this were those that were there since 8:00 pm last night).  It took me another hour before I entered the door to walk towards the NEXT PRESIDENT of these United States.  Security was tight.

As I walked towards the Palins, Todd was on right of Sarah...so he shaked my hand and I told him how proud I was of him.  I also reminded him that he is a blessed man.  He smiled, and said thank you.  By then Sarah was already looking at me...so I said, "Sarah, it's a blessing to meet you again.  We love you immensely at C4P".  She asked for my name.  Then she said, "I love you guys too and I appreciate your work.  Say "hello to everyone there".  All this time she was very sweet, smiling and looking in my eyes.  I felt special.  They handed me my third autographed book.  I also met her mom, dad, and aunt.  They are sweet human being.  God bless their hearts.

She was so pretty with that hat and that cross in her neck.  I also saw Greta by Sarah's table with cameras.

Gov. Palin is an intelligent and smart leader but when you see her in person, she even much sweeter, prettier.

I was also interview by CNN for approximately five minutes.  They told me it will air.  So watch out for that video.  I answered them in a very positive way about our Sarah.  I pray they show it, if not already.

Nancy,  December 5, 2009 3:58 PM

I wear hats on days I hate my hair, or don't feel like messing with it.
I see with Governor Palin that is not the case.:)

an lifelong democrat-soon-2-B-independent,  December 5, 2009 4:04 PM

Lizzy, that's sooooo cool! (hope you stayed warm, it looked so cold out there.)

thank you for sharing!!  I hope CNN shows your interview.  I hope C4P posts that interview here, I have cancelled CNN from my satellite dish, but I want to see a fellow C4P being interviewed by a Obot channel like CNN.

Nancy,  December 5, 2009 4:05 PM

Governor Palin and Barney Frank speaking tonight.

The conservative policy wonk in me could care less about her clothes. But the woman in me absolutely LOVES this outfit and the cherry on top is the hat. A stylish politician. She's going to rock the Gridiron Dinner. Judy Woodruff is her "escort?" Huh? Who knew? President Palin: Charmer in Chief

terri,  December 5, 2009 4:26 PM

Ya know Nancy, I was wondering if that was the reason she wore a hat...lol

That gridiron dinner..is it a formal affair???? Maybe she was protecting her hair since she has to get dolled up tonite.  :-)

terri,  December 5, 2009 4:28 PM

Yep! You just know she gonna bring that "global warming" stuff up since it's blizzard like outside..lol

Nancy,  December 5, 2009 4:28 PM

Recovering Democrat,
I'm so glad you got to go to C of O! Loved seeing pictures and video of you!:)

My nephew and niece both attend there. They both have loved the experience. They (the students) work very, very hard to be able to go to school there. I have never had the opportunity to visit the campus, but from what I have heard it is really nice. My family doesn't live around there at all.

wisetrog,  December 5, 2009 4:29 PM

Sarah is too smart in that black outfit. But Todd is the coolest. Oh my, they are the most glamorous couple ever. They don't need makeup or photo shoots or anything, they just chew the scenery,

I've been missing Todd. Welcome back, Todd.

I feel like Governor Palin and Todd are one of us going into that pit of vipers tonight.

Also, I know that she feels more comfortable with all the people at her book signings than with the goobers she will be with tonight.
I guess that makes it easier for her to lob some sarcastic sidewinders at them, huh?

wisetrog,  December 5, 2009 4:40 PM

I am worried about the Giridiron dinner, guys.

GAHanson,  December 5, 2009 4:41 PM

notice how the ABC reports headline put the crowd at "scores" yes, 100 scores.  Now if that had been a Hillary Clinton book signing, the headline would be "3 thousand turn out for Hillary," then in the body of the report it would report a crowd of 2,000.

Whitney,  December 5, 2009 4:43 PM

Cruela's right, Mia! It is all your fault!

Nancy,  December 5, 2009 4:43 PM

LOL! Yeah, I love how they say "hundreds". Is Joe Biden or Timmy Geithner doing the counting?

CruelaDev,  December 5, 2009 4:44 PM

Nancy,  December 5, 2009 4:51 PM

I know using Twitter is being allowed for the first time in the Gridiron Dinner's history.
Is there any word on this being the first time everyone will be receiving a complimentary pair of Depends, in its 124 year history?

Now, who is going to be there that would warrant such history making developments?

It couldn't be..........no she is irrelevant.

This is completely non-substanative, but I think the Governor's outfit at the VA book signing was my absolute favorite!

Whitney,  December 5, 2009 4:53 PM

This could be the one time where Obama, although I don't think he'll be there, could use the word "unprecedented"and actually be right!

OT.....

With the "Party crashers" all over the news lately.....I didn't know this happened. Sarah didn't mention it in the book.
It's interesting comparing what happened to Sarah at the convention and what happened at the state dinner.

Recovering Democrat,  December 5, 2009 5:00 PM

Yeah, the Guv certainly had a lot of career options available to her with her God-given beauty, natural charisma, and her work ethic. She could have been:

-- sports reporter
-- network news anchor (move over Katie)
-- model
-- actress (she's prettier than anyone in Hollywood)
-- talk show host (beat it Oprah)
-- war correspondent (sure, why not?)
-- best-selling author (well, she actually is one)

As it is, I'm glad that her career path is none of those. I'll be content that her next job is:

M ... A ... D ... A ... M ... E ... ... ... 4 ... 5 ... :)

Nancy,  December 5, 2009 5:01 PM

That was an awesome clip! You did soooo good!:) Way to go!:)

With all the talk about Michelle Obama's fashion sense, it's Sarah who never makes a mistake.  Michelle wears nice flattering clothes at times (I thought she looked nice at the State Dinner), but she makes some whopper mistakes.  Those big belts right under her arm pits.........oh no, no, no...........not her best look.

Sarah knows her body and what works.  She always looks great.  And the hat...............fierce!  And the woman never has a bad hair day.

Deidre,  December 5, 2009 5:28 PM

OldDude,  December 5, 2009 5:34 PM

...and wipe off the drool!

Indemind,  December 5, 2009 5:37 PM

Barney, OPPs Please past me another Depends, in Pink thank you.

sarah 2012

Emily (Jane Austen),  December 5, 2009 5:39 PM

Mia seriously, watch it! There are 18-and-younger people here! I hate mental pictures!

ellen,  December 5, 2009 5:40 PM

The Treason Times has a very biased article on the dinner: http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/12/04/palin-frank-to-speak-at-gridiron-dinner/

Says it is supposed to be a very private event, so Im guessing it wont be streamed or broadcast to the public.

Emily (Jane Austen),  December 5, 2009 5:41 PM

Here we go again...
Of course, Barney would never make it in a fistfight. Am I assuming correctly?

TexMex,  December 5, 2009 5:41 PM

Pics of Sarah in Virginia

Nancy,  December 5, 2009 5:42 PM

After Barney Frank's speech tonight, Governor Palin gets up there:

And you people say that I talk funny? Sheesh.

juju,  December 5, 2009 5:44 PM

Isn't this the same dinner OBAMA and McCain were at last year and it was on TV???

yogi41,  December 5, 2009 5:44 PM

Way to represent us, Izzy!! Thank you very much for making all of those trips. I'm glad she keeps appearing near you so you can meet her in person. Being in California, I know it won't ever happen for us, but I'm thrilled that you get to go. Between you and Sapwolf, C4P gets around. :)

Nancy,  December 5, 2009 5:47 PM

The only thing people will care about this dinner, is what Governor Palin says, who she mentions, and what other people say about Governor Palin.

ellen,  December 5, 2009 5:47 PM

Im not sure. I searched "gridiron dinner" on youtube and got only 22 results. None were familiar to me.

Recovering Democrat,  December 5, 2009 5:55 PM

Apparently this Gridiron thing is pretty schmaltzy:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/03/08/AR2008030802697_2.html?hpid=topnews

So if it's an annual event, why are they holding it in December when most of them are in the Spring?

I bet Sarah will bring the house down with her jokes. Here's something that would be hilarious (I think):

Sarah: Takes podium. "Good evening. I know you were expecting to hear from Governor Palin tonight. She's still signing books over at the mall. So she called me, Tina Fey, to fill in. I'm honored to address you. But first, I want to say: "Live from D.C., it's Saturday Night."
LOL

CruelaDev,  December 5, 2009 5:55 PM

They need to fumigate the spit off the podium...God I was hoping she would speak first..Barney spit brigade better be there to clean off that Bastards' Crap! l

yogi41,  December 5, 2009 5:59 PM

Agree and although I rarely like what Michelle wears, I will say she looked stunning at the State Dinner. She should wear her up more often; she completely overshadowed "The One".

Money Maven,  December 5, 2009 6:00 PM

It is never televised.  A very secret affair.  The Spring meeting is usually for journalists and ripping them.  Sarah did go to the Afalfa Dinner last year.

Mia,  December 5, 2009 6:02 PM

waxing or no waxing...hmmm...

A,  December 5, 2009 6:03 PM

1. Reporters been whining that Sarah's MO speech and book signings are "closed to reporters." Some of those whining have attended like regular people, but they don't see the irony of their whining.

2. The Gridiron Dinner is put on by reporters. It is closed to reporters. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/12/05/rules-change-for-typically-off-the-record-dinner/

3. Reporters who close their event to reporters will still complain when Sarah's events are closed to reporters.

4. If reporters are not respected, believed, or relied upon, the reason in visible in their mirrors.

TexMex,  December 5, 2009 6:04 PM

And what she's wearing ;)

Recovering Democrat,  December 5, 2009 6:05 PM

<span>http://ozarksfirst.com/content/fulltext/?cid=211632</span>

This was a live interview for a 5 a.m. local newscast. The reporter was darling. We could tell she liked Sarah. Two other reporters flat out told us they liked Sarah. Then there was one typical liberal reporter who went around annoying everyone.

A,  December 5, 2009 6:05 PM

Todd and Track chew more than scenery.

OldDude,  December 5, 2009 6:11 PM

Let's hope this one has legs...didn't know about Code Pink middle east connections...scary!

Lakerfanalways,  December 5, 2009 6:12 PM

LOL LOL Ok THAT would be HILARIOUS

jimr3,  December 5, 2009 6:12 PM

Thank you for sharing!

Lakerfanalways,  December 5, 2009 6:13 PM

So are journalists supposed to be at this thing. If Andrea Mitchell is there, perhaps Sarah can throw the fish guts on her that she should have thrown at her when she visited Alaska..Ok who wouldnt pay good money to see that

OldDude,  December 5, 2009 6:14 PM

Nice...ironic...pathetic!

MarkRNY,  December 5, 2009 6:14 PM

Yup, she's going right into the belly of the beast and doesn't give a damn. Beauty and the Beast! Last poll said that only 3% of the media likes her. Can you imagine O having the you know what's to do that? They'd have to have a Medivac team standing by.

I hope she wears that green commie hat! (lol). Never saw one look better. Now there's gonna be a run on green commie hats! Whatever it is it looks good on her.

Poor Michele. She was supposed to be America's sweetheart. Turns out she causes a minor financial crisis for any mag that puts her on the cover. They sell like Yugos.

TSM Admin,  December 5, 2009 6:15 PM

No, that was a dinner in NY.  Al Smith dinner I believe.

A,  December 5, 2009 6:15 PM

Sarah Heath was a sports reporter in ANC. There is a clip of it online. Some of her sense of humor and talent are on full display.

CudaCountry,  December 5, 2009 6:18 PM

I can surely tell that Sarah is sent from God because I am being attacked like never before.

GAHanson,  December 5, 2009 6:20 PM

I hope that at the end of her speech, she gives them their next big scoop, saying, "I am actually FLYING to Iowa, because no way that bus can make it there in time for tomorrows book signing.  Now you won't have to get your next headline from the Huffington Post."

TSM Admin,  December 5, 2009 6:20 PM

juju:  That was a dinner in NY.  Al Smith dinner I think.

hrh,  December 5, 2009 6:23 PM

Actually, I think its her friends - and maybe her daughters - who know.

Maybe it was Kaylene Johnson's book, but I read somewhere that Sarah hates to shop, and friends will often buy her stuff when they're out shopping. Occasionally she'll say, oh no, I don't think I can wear that, but I gather she generally thanks them and pays for the clothes.

A,  December 5, 2009 6:24 PM

I expect Sarah to tweet her speech. Everyone in the room will read it on their phones.

Piper4444205,  December 5, 2009 6:25 PM

Video can be found here, it took me 2 hours to find video but I found some video of the book signing in Fairfax.

http://www.necn.com/Boston/Arts-Entertainment/2009/12/05/Fans-wait-in-snow-for-Palin/1260047667.html

Recovering Democrat,  December 5, 2009 6:29 PM

No, that was the Al Smith dinner, and it's usually during election years, I think, but I could be wrong. Maybe they have it every year but nobody pays attention. McCain did a great job last time. Hillary Clinton was cracking up, I remember.

Nancy,  December 5, 2009 6:29 PM

Top Ten Things Heard at Gridiron Dinner:

10. Can I get a pink Depends? This one doesn't match my outfit. (A number of ladies, and Barney Frank)
9. I'm really starting to like her! Did I say that out loud? (Gulp)
8. I can see why President Obama is up to 4 packs a day. She is trouble.
7. Nancy Pelosi just cracked a smile. Um, how could you tell?
6. I was hoping she would bring Bigfoot.
5. How does she speak without TOTUS?
4. Katie, saw your ratings from my house. I think you are going to be creating a job for someone really soon.
3. Can someone pull Barney away from Todd?
2. My Depends are riding up.
1. Here's hoping my speech gets me named as Worst Person in the World on Monday! Fingers crossed!:)

Emily (Jane Austen),  December 5, 2009 6:30 PM

I wrote a SNL skit that includes Tina and Sarah but makes fun of Tina instead of Sarah. But yeah, that would be hilarious! :)

Nancy,  December 5, 2009 6:32 PM

Sorry, panchita, #3 was yours!

Emily (Jane Austen),  December 5, 2009 6:32 PM

Stop Nancy you're killing me! I honestly want to know what goes on at your house. ;) If I stop breathing (which kind of happens when I laugh so hard) I'll sic my parents on you!

hrh,  December 5, 2009 6:33 PM

Nope that was the Al Smith dinner from NYC, I think. Big Catholic charity thing, I think. Only held in presidential years with both candidates as speakers ...

Emily (Jane Austen),  December 5, 2009 6:33 PM

I wonder what Gov. Palin thinks when she reads Nancy's comments. Respect, or what-the-hay?

juju,  December 5, 2009 6:39 PM

You might be right about that...but there was a dinner later in the year when Todd went and Sarah couldn't leave Ak.  and that black woman comedian insulted Sarah with Todd sitting right there...it was awful.   Todd went as Greta's guest.  Is this the same dinner as that was???   They had a red carpet out for that dinner and lots of pics. of people.

hrh,  December 5, 2009 6:40 PM

That was the WH Correspondents' Dinner. These journalists sure love to eat and party!!

Firelight,  December 5, 2009 6:41 PM

LOL, it would be even funnier if she stopped her speech in mid sentence and told the audience what she was tweeting.  Then proceed with your suggestions.  That would be a riot!!!

Firelight,  December 5, 2009 6:42 PM

I want to see Sarah in a sleeveless black or red classic dress.  She would put Michelle O's arms to shame!!

juju,  December 5, 2009 6:43 PM

<span> She might  want to say: " I think can see the White House from here.....Live from D.C., it's Saturday Night." </span>

juju,  December 5, 2009 6:46 PM

She and Todd looked so good today.  How can this woman be so up-beat all the time.  She is a doll. ....so is Todd.

PatrickinOH,  December 5, 2009 6:47 PM

Hello I am so excited for tonight!  I love that hat Sarah is wearing, oh and I see Mia is back on her Bawney Fwank thong obsession-shudder

Recovering Democrat,  December 5, 2009 6:50 PM

Yeah, I love that. I feel like Sarah is my twin sister separated at birth (and four years age difference). I played high school basketball and we went to the state championship my senior year. I also (like the Guv) studied journalism and political science in college (taking 5 years to graduate -- from Utah State University -- DEBT FREE), and my first paid journalism job was covering sports for the local newspaper.

I wrote a note to Gov. Palin and gave it to her Aunt Katie. I just wanted to let her know how much I related to her, and that she inspires me.

juju,  December 5, 2009 6:50 PM

Maybe there will photographers outside and they will get pics. like they do at movie awards things????

yogi41,  December 5, 2009 6:52 PM

Agree. Carly did a very good job; extremely effective.

PatrickinOH,  December 5, 2009 6:52 PM

hopefully

lmg,  December 5, 2009 6:53 PM

"Despite our political differences, I'm sure there are things that Congressman Frank and I can agree on: We both want what's best for America; we both support our troops and want them home as soon as it is practical; and we both agree that Todd is a hunk."

PatrickinOH,  December 5, 2009 6:54 PM

you are sick Mia

Recovering Democrat,  December 5, 2009 6:54 PM

But wait, Sarah's an irrelevant quitter! And they want to cover her???

Nancy,  December 5, 2009 6:54 PM

Emily,
LOL! Thanks!

By the way, did you give an update on your medical situation? You were gone for far too long, and I wasn't sure if everything was okay for you now, or if you had found anything out in that time.

A,  December 5, 2009 6:55 PM

CSPAN may again have Gridiron related stuff. Chit chat and people coming and going.

I don't see anything of their list tonight.

The Sunday shows that no one watches will mention it.

terri,  December 5, 2009 6:55 PM

This one is held twice a year. The one in the spring I guess is a bigger affair than this mid winter one.

Mia,  December 5, 2009 6:57 PM

Are you Kidding???...Men wax!...GEEEZ!

Anonymous,  December 5, 2009 6:57 PM

What kinda hat was she wearing ? Never seen one in US like that.  What ever she wears she always looks nice !!

MarkRNY,  December 5, 2009 6:57 PM

Haven't had time to read all the posts. Don't know if anyone's mentioned this but I see that Sarah's book signing tops the list on Yahoo for most e-mailed photos.

Another feather in her green commie hat!

I'll bet Michele's fingernails are sunk about an inch into whatever chair she's sitting on.

Recovering Democrat,  December 5, 2009 6:59 PM

Funny list, Nancy! We should all be getting paid for our brilliance :)

Regarding #9 ... I saw over on Hot Air, that someone was talking about attending a wedding in Michigan, and they were seated at a table of Democrats. Somehow Sarah's name came up... the shocking thing for this poster over on Hot Air was that every Democrat at that table said they not only LIKED Sarah, but some of them said they would vote fore her. A lady even said she'd help campaign for her.

I thought that was just incredible ... Hope it's not an urban legend, but after meeting Sarah myself, I can tell you that it's just gonna be IMPOSSIBLE for people to hate her. Sarah's personal favorables are gonna go up, and then from there all she has to do is dazzle them with her policy knowledge which she will during the next year (with her next book ... Ha!) and when the debates start.

Nancy,  December 5, 2009 7:00 PM

Thank you, editors and contributors of C4P! You do incredible work!
I am in amazement of your creativity, the speed that you get video and audio posted, your exhaustive research, your individual posts, your writing abilities, and your steadfast support of Governor Palin, and all the numerous ways that support manifests itself on this site.

I am so thankful that Governor Palin and her family recognize your contribution to get her story out there, and to defend her tirelessly.

I park here every day, and I am so grateful for all you do to make this time exciting, and hopeful, instead of frustrating and depressing.

You are awesome! Thank you!

PatrickinOH,  December 5, 2009 7:03 PM

in Europe maybe but this is America

cookboy,  December 5, 2009 7:05 PM

To my mind this is the biggest thing yet. All the other interviews and such were pretty much "preaching to the choir". Now she goes straight into the belly of the beast. I'm confident that she'll emerge not only unscathed, but better than ever.

Nancy,  December 5, 2009 7:06 PM

Governor Palin to the elites tonight: I know that you people are used to people bowing, and you don't see the problem with it, but let me be very clear, I will not be bowing tonight, or EVER.

Palinized,  December 5, 2009 7:06 PM

She looks fantastic. I totally love the outfit she's rockin here.

Mia,  December 5, 2009 7:07 PM

Dude...Right here in America!...I have seen it with my eyes!

cookboy,  December 5, 2009 7:07 PM

I know a lot of people have been tryin', but I've never seen a bad pic of her.

terri,  December 5, 2009 7:08 PM

^^^nope, that was the "Alfred E Smith" dinner.

PatrickinOH,  December 5, 2009 7:09 PM

Governor Palin tonight: I am so sorry to hear that Keith Olbermann couldn't make it tonight unfortunately he had an appointment with his bathtub and rubber duckie he could not afford to miss

juju,  December 5, 2009 7:09 PM

lmao....good one

juju,  December 5, 2009 7:10 PM

I am not sure but, I think that is called a newsboy hat.  Not sure.  Love it on her I have seen lots of those here in Calif.  I will go look it up and find out what it is called.

cookboy,  December 5, 2009 7:11 PM

On somebody else's nickel!

Indemind,  December 5, 2009 7:12 PM

sorry Tommy Re. ....Alabama UP by 19 with 11:00min. to go.

sarah rocks 2012

terri,  December 5, 2009 7:12 PM

Creula,

She better go up there with a anti-bacteria wipe!

juju,  December 5, 2009 7:12 PM

LMAO....you guys are too much.   C4P should have had a thread up a couple of days ago for jokes to be posted here that Sarah might use tonight.  There are some real winners.

PatrickinOH,  December 5, 2009 7:12 PM

how have you seen it? Is that your dayjob Mia?

terri,  December 5, 2009 7:14 PM

Hey, do you think they flip a coin to see who gets to speak first?!?!?

PatrickinOH,  December 5, 2009 7:14 PM

Governor Palin tonight: Unfortunately President Obama could not be here with us tonight as he is currently watching another documentary about himself
