The “Keep Keeping It Light” Barbarian Awards 2009…. What The?

“Holy moly! How are you? Nice to see you. Are you staying warm?”

Private Citizen of the Year 2009: Governor Sarah Palin: “You fully recognize that Governor Palin has a special political talent that in the course of human events only comes round once in a generation or so. Reagan had it, Clinton had it, Obama has it and Palin has it. 'It' being, of course, charisma. No one in the current Republican Party even comes close to her when it comes to working a room or moving a crowd. As you yourself observe, “[i]f money could buy what you have, Romney would have bought it all by now. Good politicians can learn how to win over audiences, but the great ones are born with the ability.” (Joshua Livestro’s open letter to Jonah Goldberg)

Contributor Barbarian of the Year 2009: Some precocious 15 year old, starving artist, right?

Best $10 Investment Made During A Recession: Our Right Honorable Friend From New Jersey.

The Barbarian With The Longest Legs 2009: How else to forge the Rubicon?

Barbarian Commenter of the Year: “[E]very ordinary barbarian who blogged, commented, emailed, twittered, Blackberried, telephoned, made videos, gave interviews, contacted sponsors and advertisers... anyone who stood up to be counted.... anyone who said to themselves ... 'never again' and did something about it. You know who you are.”

Man of the Year 2009: Chuck Heath: [he] "would give me the proverbial slug in the arm and tell me to 'work harder'. I now know why he did that, and [it] did make me work harder and become stronger.”

Speech of the Year 2009: Evansville... always Evansville.

“Type, Type, Send” Top Facebook Post 2009: Statement On The Current Health Care Debate (“death panels”)

Tweet 2009: AKGovSarahPalin: "Couple of thoughts for the day on beautiful bright AK morn: 'You have to sacrifice to win. That's my philosophy in 6 words.' - George Allen." (screenshot archive)

Boom! Taste My Nightstick 2009: "Concerning Letterman's comments about my young daughter (and I doubt he'd ever dare make such comments about anyone else's daughter): 'Laughter incited by sexually-perverted comments made by a 62-year-old male celebrity aimed at a 14-year-old girl is not only disgusting, but it reminds us some Hollywood/NY entertainers have a long way to go in understanding what the rest of America understands - that acceptance of inappropriate sexual comments about an underage girl, who could be anyone's daughter, contribute to the atrociously high rate of sexual exploitation of minors by older men who use and abuse others.”

C4P Videographer Of The Year 2009: Seth Adam Smith (nuff said).

C4P “Go Viral” 2009: Two of our contributors vie for top spot here: Sinistar’s “There’s A Bore In The Woods”; Sheya’s “Quit Making Things Up DNC”.

Top Tribute: Gotta be “Halo”: VidSweet.

Brother-In-Arms 2009: Josh Painter at Texas4Palin: “Those who don't like the way we moderate our comments can burn in hell.”

King of the Threads 2009: No commenter has worked harder to maintain a level of political dialogue in our comment threads (often in the face of merciless Sarc Sister off topic onslaught, lol). He is an iconoclastic, sports alluding, list making, “it is what it is” kind of guy... Techno.

King Of The Threads 2009 Honorable Mention: To Bill in Baltimore, wisetrog, Section 9.

Queen of the Threads 2009: Nancy: "Governor Palin to Republican elites who are now going to suck up to her: Would you mind getting your knife out of my back, before you hold your hand out to me for help? Let's start there, and then we'll see what happens."

Queen Of The Threads 2009 Honorable Mention: To Whitney, Lipstick, hrh.

Sarah Palin Day Citation 2009: Brianus Berkelianus: “I still like the idea of August 29 as THE DAY. Something was born that morning in Dayton, a phenomenon unlike anything we have witnessed in our nation's history. Sarah strode out, to the strains of the "Rudy" theme; she strode onto the stage, and into our hopes, into our dreams, into our lives...forever. We should all give $29 to SarahPac on the 29th of August this year (this was Doug's idea, I believe!!) January 20, 2013 can be PRESIDENT PALIN DAY. 29 August each year should, IMHO, be SARAH PALIN DAY!!”

Sarc Sisters 2009: Nancy, Lipstick, Cruela, Recovering Democrat, defend America, Mia, Kjanlady, et al...: “..I..I feel so USED! When I found this site and signed up I NEVER KNEW I was signing onto a "CULT" site... I...I ...just don't know what to say! I thought I was always an independent thinker....I am so ashamed...I am so embarrassed! I AM A CULT MEMBER! My Mom will never speak to me again!...wait.. that might be a good thing!" (Crueladev)

Have At Thee Troll 2009: The Aged P: (to serial troll Emperor Bob): “I would have thought that as an old hippie you might have had a broader view of the nature of education. But then I always did view your whole flower power culture with a healthy dose of cynicism because it always rested on the assumption that there would always be a sufficient quantity of us little boxes guys who would keep daily life going so that you idlers could posture and pose and pretend to be philosopher kings. I guess most grew out of out and became adults whereas a few remained locked in a time warp and still pretended they were latter day Zapatas when in fact they were sad old poseurs....”(2 June: 8.04pm)

Lemonade Seller of the Year 2009: Piper Palin.

I Am A Sign Man For The Governor 2009: Thomas ‘Sapwolf’.

The Lady’s Not For Turning 2009: “This site's name says it all. We are 4 Palin. My ID says it all, Lipstick. I love how Palin is a woman and she kicks butt. I am a complete Palin supporter. I will support her through thick and thin. I have never considered giving money to a candidate before much less done so. I have donated to SarahPac and her Defense fund and will continue to do so. She has proven to me that she is honest, conservative, pro-life, a fiscal conservative, pro-military, can balance a budget, is against big government, caring, real, a leader, a great governor, speaks out against wrongs, can play hard ball w/ the boys, has a firm grasp on energy issues, the need to defend America....I can go on and on. I am a Sarah Palin supporter, you will not change my mind. Sorry but I am just the type of person you will find here a C4P.” (July 2, 2009, Lipstick)

Awesome job, Rich. What a round up!

I hadn't seen that Halo video by Vid Sweet. That was really cool.

Btw, did you know that I used to be M03 ??? (Mother of Three) Yes, that was me before I started my blog, Recovery from Liberalism and I changed my screen name. Ha!

Is there an award for being booted off Sarah's Facebook Page at least 20 times? I could vie for that one. Someday I gotta ask Sarah personally why so many of her fans aren't able to comment on her page :)

johnmd,  December 27, 2009 11:57 AM

Tis a beautiful Sunday morning on Delmarva Penninsula , two days of rain has removed most of the two feet of snow we had and the sun is bright today. I don't think even football fever will be able to keep me inside today. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.
For a year that started out so dismal for Sarah who would have imagined it would have ended with her being the most  powerful  voice of conservative America. The tide has turned and I believe 2010 is going to be a gang buster year for her. I can hardly wait for her to begin.

JeanA,  December 27, 2009 12:00 PM

I was booted off months ago. Tried a couple of times to get back in to comment but failed.  My family thinks it's funny that being a die hard supporter and not allowed to comment on her Facebook.

cookboy,  December 27, 2009 12:04 PM

How do you get to comments? I haven't yet figured it out on my iphone.

terri,  December 27, 2009 12:05 PM

Good job Rich...I guess ;-)
Could argue with you on some of those awards.
The video "America" by our own "Love That Lady" (Irma) should have won SOMETHING!
How about..."the most patriotic/Sarah support" video...lol

Plus.....what's an "army mom" gotta do to win something/anything around here?...lol

terri,  December 27, 2009 12:07 PM

Yippee!! /Avatars are Back!!!!

Recovering Democrat,  December 27, 2009 12:27 PM

I nominate you for Army Mom of the Year, Terri !!!

I like the Top 10 Video idea ... Here are my favorites:

1. Crazies for Palin
2. Fighter
3. Sarah Will Continue to Climb

terri,  December 27, 2009 12:31 PM

Thanks RD, I accept. lol

1-America
2- Crazies for Palin
3-A bore in the woods (with Fighter coming in a close 4th)

CharterOakie,  December 27, 2009 12:31 PM

I heartily agree regarding Irma's video "America."  Top two along with "Halo."

Emily(Jane Austen),  December 27, 2009 12:36 PM

I'm not sure. I got this only 2 days ago. I worked it like a regular computer. Click on comments and a pop-up window should come up. Sign in. Then you're good to go. I'm not sure whether that will work for you but you can try.

Emily(Jane Austen),  December 27, 2009 12:38 PM

Mines not on my touch so I gotta do something about that...

CharterOakie,  December 27, 2009 12:42 PM

Great round-up, well-deserved awards.  (The rest of us will have to try harder in 2010.)

Maybe Rich was hoping that the saga of the barbarian babes and dudes would continue uninterrupted?  He used to celebrate it back in the day :  )

Yes, thank goodness our avatars are back.

I agree with the "fact / rumor" nominations above.

For bloviating blowhard:  Keith Olbermann.
And I haven't watched his foaming-at-the-mouth bloviating in many, many months now, so he earns my nomination on the strength of his work for just a few weeks very early in 2009.  He's that deserving!

Emily(Jane Austen),  December 27, 2009 12:42 PM

Wait... I want to nominated for something!

I'm wayyyyy not humble...

Youngest commentor?
Sweet innocent kid of the year?

Well...what?

terri,  December 27, 2009 12:49 PM

I know this is Waaaay OT but I guess between the attempted terrorist strike on the NW plane in Detroit, and what is going on in Iran.....the CIC MUST have his phone/blackberry turned off while on vaca, cuz we haven't heard a word from him about either one.  :-(

What's going on in Iran???....Take a look.
Watch the video.....Warning Graphic.

cookboy,  December 27, 2009 12:52 PM

Emily, wherever you are, my iPhone now gets it, or I do. You're an inspiration!

ReaganTMan,  December 27, 2009 12:54 PM

Way to go Ordinary Barbarians and Neon Knights! Through the astroturfing and Alaskan blogger attacks right after the election was over, through ethicsgate, through Gov. Palin's resignation and during her darkest hours, you were all there, opening new blogs, tweeting and unsheathing your swords every day in the battle for our nation.

Sarah Palin's army is now the strongest it's ever been and it will continue to grow stronger. We have stood up to the liberal media and the Alaska bloggers and we are winning.

I am proud to be among all of you great Americans. As we strive to take back the shining city on a hill, we have stood up for and defended our great leader, Sarah Palin. We will be going on offense soon as we head into 2010 & 2012. God bless all of you.

William Henley,  December 27, 2009 12:56 PM

Emily, how about "Most likely to kick butt in the future, conservative congresswoman of the year award?"

CharterOakie,  December 27, 2009 1:07 PM

"Cutest red head" avatar.  Hands down.

Recovering Democrat,  December 27, 2009 1:11 PM

This has happened to so many of us. I wish we could at least know WHY.

LadySam,  December 27, 2009 1:19 PM

Thank YOU to all of the C4P contributors. This tour down memory lane makes me really miss RAM.  I hope her absence here means she is working with Sarah.

gelston the knowitall,  December 27, 2009 1:21 PM

tremendous roundup Rich. (That is an old west term usually reserved for cattle but in this case it may be used for herding cats)
I agree completely with the special shout outs for Nancy and Techno.
Thank you all for the education that you have given me in the past year. This is a classroom on conservativism and on The Palins. Although I was out for a month when I was ill in April, I would not have missed a day here.
You are special people. I am blessed that God brought us together. It is a miracle.
God bless you all and God bless the Palin family.

PatrickinOH,  December 27, 2009 1:21 PM

Most feisty?

DanO,  December 27, 2009 1:24 PM

kudos techno!...well deserved on the King Of The Threads Award.  Your stuff at Hot Air matches your effort here.  Methinks you are the next Dr. Zero.

BTW - did anyone see that Dr. Zero outted himself?  His name is John Hayward and he has his own blogpage now, accessable thru the Important Links column on C4P.  There must be a complimentary award for Sarah's future speechwriter.

PatrickinOH,  December 27, 2009 1:26 PM

I would like to nominate myself for most likely to reference 24.

Recovering Democrat,  December 27, 2009 1:45 PM

It feels like Saturday to me, too... And one of my Facebook friends said she forgot to go to Mass today, totally forgetting it was Sunday. Vacations totally mess with our schedules :)

PatrickinOH,  December 27, 2009 1:53 PM

And finally... this thought to take with you into 2010, from reader defendAmerica: 36 more years until I can retire and hang out at C4P all day :)

That got me thinking, if Sarah is fortunate enough to be elected president and serve two terms, what will be C4P's mission 36 years from now?  To elect Piper Palin president?

Emily(Jane Austen),  December 27, 2009 2:02 PM

Ummm... Yes!
Or me.... ;)

PatrickinOH,  December 27, 2009 2:03 PM

I nominate David Frum as the Biggest Douche in the Universe.

Rich Crowther,  December 27, 2009 2:04 PM

Aren't you already the Babette of 2009?

Rich Crowther,  December 27, 2009 2:06 PM

New Year's Eve, maybe, perhaps, could be, sort of.... just for you.

Rich Crowther,  December 27, 2009 2:09 PM

Piper Palin 2042, already booked during the Evansville speech?

TSM Admin,  December 27, 2009 2:11 PM

Great summary of 2009 and congrats to awad winners!  Now, there is more encouragement to the rest of us to "work harder" in  2010.  I can't imagine what 2010 will bring.  Just look back a year, who could have imagined most of the 2009 news, Sarah news or otherwise.  I think one thing is for sure, it will be much more active than 2009.  Remember this past Summer/Fall, when there was about a 3 month dearth of Sarah news, sigthings and speeches?  I suspect 2010 will be more like the last 6 weeks of 2009, full speed ahead.

I have enjoyed all the commenters here this year (been here just over 6 months myself).  Special thanks to the C4P principals who spend their time and talents keeping this site running.

Happy New Year to all!

defendAmerica,  December 27, 2009 2:13 PM

hahaha!!  thanks for keeping me in line.  I'd better make sure and remember that tomorrow is Monday and I must head into work!!

Recovering Democrat,  December 27, 2009 2:13 PM

I can't believe I left out one of my MOST favorite videos of 2009 in my prior post about top 10 videos of the year.

The World's Greatest .... Sarah Palin. THAT was the video of the year, I think.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVJlZ2qqhqQ&feature=related

gelston the knowitall,  December 27, 2009 2:14 PM

1. We will need to launch the USS Palin aircraft carrier that Josef showed us.
http://www.usssarahpalin.net/
2. We will be working to create the second Mt. Rushmore with Reagan and Sarah.

William Henley,  December 27, 2009 2:14 PM

Me thinks that the <span>Bloviating Yearnalism award should be bestowed upon the clown of Oblabla, oops, ment crown.
</span>

William Henley,  December 27, 2009 2:21 PM

O/T  I wrote up the first draft of my view of the Wasilla book signing.  Will try to get to wal-greens today and get my pictures cleaned up enough to post.  Then I will rewrite and send all to the (smartest, greatest) mods in all of Internetdom.  Our very own C4P mods.  Thanks for such a great job in 2009, and many more....

Lipstick,  December 27, 2009 2:28 PM

The only reason I hang around here is hoping beyond hope that we will have another Mae Day type thread.

I still do not look like myself these days. My screen does not give me avatar options. Sniff, sniff.

Whitney,  December 27, 2009 2:29 PM

Thanks for another wonderful post, Rich! But, what's with the knock with us girls going off topic. We never do that! ;)

OK I'll have do some thinking about the 5 awards that Rich mentioned, but in the mean time, I have some awards of my own:

1) In light of the fact that even the NYT says Sarah dresses better and more American than FLOTUS, although they did not say so without their signature snark and misrepresentation, I would like to award THE Green Hat the greatest fashion piece of the year award!

2) I'd like to award Governor Palin the Most Frugal Walking Middle Finger Award for her use of free social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook to go above the heads of the media to make both the media and the liberals "wee-weed up".

3) Best Nickname given by the Governor. This is a tie:

     The Perky One- Katie Couric
The Candidate who Must Be Obeyed- President Obama
     Cleavage Czar/Falafel lady- Andree McLeod

Whitney,  December 27, 2009 2:34 PM

Click on Peter Pan in the comment box, and you should be able to load a picture.

Lipstick,  December 27, 2009 2:36 PM

I agree Whit. Off topic? Sarc girls OT. That is a snarky comment indeed!  ;)

Without a doubt, the Governor's appearance on the Tonight Show was the most intentionally comedic event of the year.

The funniest unintentially comedic event was when TOTUS fell off of his stand and broke because he was so bored!

Whitney,  December 27, 2009 2:47 PM

I think I may have messed up on the last nickname. Someone correct me if I am wrong. I don't remember if McLeod had two nicknames in the book or not.

the more I thought about where we will be in 36 years the more I realized that there is a number three:

That jacket is proof that Palin does not care about clothes or shopping.

sandrainoregon,  December 27, 2009 3:26 PM

Thanks, Rich.  I will proudly update my CV.

sandrainoregon,  December 27, 2009 3:27 PM

Thank you, Rich.  I am busy updating my CV.

Ernst,  December 27, 2009 3:27 PM

This should be the last thread I read all year.  It was inciteful and inspiring.  I never saw the Evansville speech before today ( shame on me)  And every 'award' was thoughtful, some serious, some humorous.

This should be the last but since there are still 4 days left in this year, I'll be back to C4P atleast 4 more times, maybe more.  This site not only rocks, it informs and motivates. Keeps up the great work!  Thank You!

Lipstick,  December 27, 2009 3:29 PM

Wow. I look like myself again.

Thanks Whit.

Ernst,  December 27, 2009 3:31 PM

I say it should be the last because what better way to end an old year then on such a highnote.?  It was a nice way to spend a Sunday morning.

Rich Crowther,  December 27, 2009 3:34 PM

Sandra, that concerns me. Are you sure you want to do that? Is it a bit hasty? Have you considered any other course of action?

Rich Crowther,  December 27, 2009 3:39 PM

Snark? Moi? Pot kettle black!

Nancy,  December 27, 2009 4:05 PM

Rich,
I really, really, really appreciate the award!:) Thank you, a whole bunch! I loved all of your choices for the award winners!
I was thinking the other day, about techno, and how he just keeps plugging away at his comments. He wades through some of our tangents, and nerdy, weird discussions. Visitors to C4P must get whiplash reading some our threads. There will be some superficial conversation raging between
some of us, and then planted right in the middle of it all, is an in-depth analysis of a poll, or words and what they mean for all of us that inhabit the Sarah Palin world. techno, you really are a hearty soul, and a blessing to C4P!:)

Nancy,  December 27, 2009 4:14 PM

The Bloviating Blowhard Award: David Shuster. A holier than thou, snob, sissy man, muppet.

The John Kerry Why The Long Face Comedic Moment Award: Nancy Pelosi, her face at a press conference, when Harry Reid deigned to put his arm around her. Classic.

Thanks again, Rich, for all of your hard work on the weekly roundups, and funny posts!:)

sandrainoregon,  December 27, 2009 4:19 PM

Well, CV stands for concern values.  That means I have to consider it for quite a while.  You ought to see the other stuff on there.

gelston the knowitall,  December 27, 2009 4:23 PM

well said

defendAmerica,  December 27, 2009 4:26 PM

YEAH!  Welcome back Lipstick!

yogi41,  December 27, 2009 4:36 PM

Agree about "America". Hands down, the best, most emotional video I've seen. Oh well....

PatrickinOH,  December 27, 2009 4:40 PM

I won't be, I'll only be 58. ;)

DefCon66,  December 27, 2009 4:41 PM

It happened to me too, I thought it might have been my habit of going after trolls there that got me booted from Sarah's FB page.

CruelaDev,  December 27, 2009 4:42 PM

Wait...

How did I get lumped in the Sarc Sister catagory with the likes of Nancy and Lipstick and RD..
and the others.. ESPECIALLY that Mia chick????

When was I EVER Sarcastic?

Thanks Rich.. Another Great Job!  Thanks C4P! Thanks Sarah Palin and thanks everyone for the laughs and support.

Nancy... I missed you yesterday.. My bad.. roads were not that great and I had a funeral...thingy....Catch ya next time!

yogi41,  December 27, 2009 4:44 PM

Thanks for the heads-up on Dr. Zero. I get to add a new blog to my day.

Recovering Democrat,  December 27, 2009 4:45 PM

Another REALLY good Sarah video!

Watch me shine!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbsnDHTHV2k&feature=related

Recovering Democrat,  December 27, 2009 4:52 PM

Ha! I used to go after the trolls a lot too, DefCon!

I've been wondering if it isn't an automatic setting that prohibits people from posting more than a pre-determined number of times. I just can't figure it out. There are HUNDREDS of Sarah fans that cannot comment any longer on her page. It's surprising to me that anybody is still able to comment. There always seem to be new people posting. Maybe Sarah's people want to give new people the most opportunties to post?

Or maybe it's a conspiracy by Facebook to turn Sarah's supporters against her????

I have no idea.

Recovering Democrat,  December 27, 2009 4:53 PM

Keep up the good work, Pat ! :)

PatrickinOH,  December 27, 2009 5:01 PM

OT: I flipped to Meet the Depressed because FOX News Sunday was interrupted by that second incident on that same plane where the terrorist attempted to blow up the plane.  The panel consisted of Andrea Mitchell, Newt Gingrich, Failed Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, and the dictator of New York Mayor Michael "no term limits for me" Bloomberg.

David Gregory got into discussing the current state of conservatism and of course Sarah Palin came up.  Andrea Mitchell talked about covering her book signings and the people waiting out in the cold for hours to see her.  It was all downhill from there.  Mitchell said she hadn't seen this level of anger since her first campaign, which was when George Wallace was running.  Gee I wonder what she was implying there?  She then said the uprising directed against the government was just based on emotion and not fact-based at all.  She said she fears what is about to happen.  I say good, you should be afraid Andrea.  BTW Andrea for the record, Wallace was a DEMOCRAT!  The party that supported slavery and racism was the DEMOCRATS!  The party that supported segregation was the DEMOCRATS!

Nancy,  December 27, 2009 5:02 PM

Cruela,
That's what I figured. No problem! You were on my mind and in my prayers, especially when I didn't hear from you!
I gave my girls hugs from you, they smiled and said to tell you hi!:)
You are awesome!:)

PatrickinOH,  December 27, 2009 5:04 PM

You know I will RD! :)

Lipstick,  December 27, 2009 5:09 PM

I agree. Techno is great and I have learned so much reading techno posts.

I would like to go on the record saying I am the OnT Sarc Sister (On Topic). That's me. Lipstick, AKA, Always on Topic Lipstick.

BetseyRoss,  December 27, 2009 5:13 PM

Absolutely!

Lipstick,  December 27, 2009 5:14 PM

Gee. I hate I missed Andrea "Hold Me Back" Mitchell. She is just sensing her OWN anger of not being able to get all snuggly with Sarah at teh book signing.

Anonymous,  December 27, 2009 5:18 PM

Wallace became a born-again Christian in the late 1970s and apologized to black civil rights leaders for his earlier segregationist views. He said while he once sought power and glory, he realized he needed to seek love and forgiveness.<span>[</span>note 3<span>]</span> In 1979 when blacks began to vote in large numbers in Alabama, Wallace himself said of his stand in the schoolhouse door: "I was wrong. Those days are over and they ought to be over."

PatrickinOH,  December 27, 2009 5:23 PM

Oh so I should feel better now.  Mitchell was basically saying that Palin is a racist now but she will have a change of heart many years from now.

PatrickinOH,  December 27, 2009 5:26 PM

I think she is jealous of Sarah having Todd.  I think Andrea married Alan to further her career and the money, while Sarah married Todd because of love.  I noticed that when Sarah was at the Gridiron dinner, one of Andrea's tweets referred to Sarah as "Palin" and she referred to Todd as "Todd."  Andrea is jealous because Sarah and Todd cause massive global warming and Andrea and Alan, well lets just say its an ice age right now. ;)

LOL! Thank you, Patrick! Those were great!
Feinstein and Pelosi, very funny!

She would look fantastic with however she does her hair!

Beehive,  December 27, 2009 5:43 PM

Oh wow. Those pictures are just...oh my.

Geesh. First thing back from Christmas break, and that's what you got for me to look at?!  ;)

PatrickinOH,  December 27, 2009 5:43 PM

I think she's fine the way she is.  Sigh I hope I can find a "Sarah" for me someday.

JeanA,  December 27, 2009 5:44 PM

Sorry Rich but there is no way I would highlight a troll before an "Ordinary Barbarian."

http://www.conservatives4palin.com/2009/04/c4p-who-we-are-and-what-we-stand-for.html

PatrickinOH,  December 27, 2009 5:55 PM

I would also like to nominate Chrissy Matthews as Most likely to get wee wee'd up.

PatrickinOH,  December 27, 2009 5:56 PM

I nominate Ron Reagan Jr. as Most likely to be mistaken for Racheal Maddow.

sandrainoregon,  December 27, 2009 5:57 PM

Wallace left the Democrats to run for President as an Independent.

PatrickinOH,  December 27, 2009 5:57 PM

I nominate Keith Olbermann as Person whose head will most likely explode.

Nancy,  December 27, 2009 5:59 PM

Oh man! You're right, Patrick!
Have we ever seen them in the same room together?
And, that mental picture, blech.:)

PatrickinOH,  December 27, 2009 6:05 PM

Ron Reagan disgusts me.  I thank God everyday he has decided not to have children.  With that in mind I would like to thank the following people for choosing not to procreate as well: Alan Colmes, Keith Olbermann, Maureen Dowd, Janet Napalitano, Gloria Steinem, Janeane Garafalo, etc.  I am sure the list is a long one.  So thanks liberals for not having kids!

JeanA,  December 27, 2009 6:08 PM

<span>Sorry Rich but there is no way I would highlight trolls over "Ordinary Barbarians."

Lipstick,  December 27, 2009 6:18 PM

Hmmmm. Fashionista? I LIKE, I LIKE!!! I may go rogue and change my screen name to that.

Regarding the link....We all know I am solidly in the up-do camp. That style looks great on her. Gives her a pretty yet kick butt look yet soft at the same time. However, if the guv DID want a change I think she should go with the Couric look just to drive Miss Perky crazy......NAH, Sarah needs to be Sarah, keep the up-do sometimes, down sometimes, pulled back sometimes.... PLEASE!!! That keeps us fashionistas guessing!

Lipstick,  December 27, 2009 6:20 PM

Actually Ron Jr. is great being a commentator on Animal Planet when they have the big Weistmeinster Dog Kennel Show. I never knew he knew that much about dogs.....who knew??

Oh, don't laugh, my boy loves dogs so we watch it every year.

Jesse Cornish,  December 27, 2009 6:21 PM

That would happen if he actually found out that he has only 5 people who watch his show.

PatrickinOH,  December 27, 2009 6:30 PM

Why would I laugh Lipstick? Or should I say Fashonista? ;)

PatrickinOH,  December 27, 2009 6:30 PM

How about the Arctic Fashonista?

Lipstick,  December 27, 2009 6:43 PM

Well, I guess some people wouldn't watch dog shows...... ;) Had to explain to my boy why they were saying this dog was a great B****. Had to tell him man took a term and made it something it wasn't meant to be. Other than that, watching dog shows are great for kids to see!!

We have been to the dog show twice in Houston and Animal Planet was there filming it. We don't have a dog now but we are dog people! We had a dalmation for 15 years and had to put her down almost a year ago. She was a great dog. An outside dog, a great watch dog and companion who was always by your side while working outside. A great dog indeed!!!

I think Arctic Fashionista would be a great nickname for the Guv actually!!!! Perhaps I could use it too!!!!

Lipstick,  December 27, 2009 6:45 PM

Wii time!

The boy loves his Christmas present. Indiana Jones 2 is very good. It is a hoot watching me try to figure out this Wii thing! LOL

OldDude,  December 27, 2009 7:48 PM

Nice perspective...and yes, before my time!

wisetrog,  December 27, 2009 7:52 PM

Bleeeeeeeeech! Sarah looks nice as it is. None of those other styles even suit her in the remote.

defendAmerica,  December 27, 2009 9:02 PM

Hannity replaying Sarah's interview right now.

narciso,  December 27, 2009 9:14 PM

I agree with you Wisetrog, none of those dues fit her,

Izzy,  December 27, 2009 9:52 PM

That's funny and true...pooooooor Andrea.

Sapwolf,  December 27, 2009 11:10 PM

Dynamite compilation of 2009 highlights.  Fun.  I forgot how much happened in just ONE year.  Lookin forward to 2010.

Sapwolf,  December 27, 2009 11:12 PM

I have watched it too over the years.  I used to have a female Shetland Sheepdog.  She was nice and smart, like a daughter (had her fixed at six months - :)

Uffda,  December 28, 2009 5:25 AM

After Sarah gets in as President, I'm taking a vacation. And once America is back on the right track, I plan on going back to my "plow." We are Cincinnatus after all.

Uffda,  December 28, 2009 5:27 AM

(Gasp!) You never saw..... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Oh, the humanity!

CharterOakie,  December 28, 2009 9:01 AM

Admittedly late in getting back to this thread, but it's simple:  keep your lovely long hair, Sarah.  Sometimes up, sometimes down, sometimes back.  But always long and lovely :  )
