Interesting.. lately when an article or blog describes some one's political ambitions for 2012, they dont really discuss if they will be nominated, or run for president.. but it wonders if they will be a good choice for  Sarah Palin's VP.    :)

On the other hand, as I was filling up on a gas station, another motorist, an older chunky lady with long grey streaked hair and big eyes (who reminded me of an old hippy) came up to me and asked me: "Did you really vote for Palin?"  I said "huh?"  she says: "I saw your bumper sticker", I said.. "well I really Voted for McCain, but only because Palin was on the ticket, I didnt think much of him.."
She looked at me unbelievably with her big eyes and said: "Uh... thats scary" and walked away... "What Obama is doing to the country.. that's whats scary!" I yelled after her. She is probably a wellfare recipient.. But who knows here in Northern California she could have been a wealthy vine grower.  Argh.. it kind of ruined my afternoon.

I know this is a web site devoted to the life and times of Sarah Palin but my 10 random thoughts today do not deal specifically with Sarah Palin but more on the periphery but having said that perhaps gives us a glimpse into the prism that American voters view popular culture and in turn how their take on popular culture influences their take on Sarah Palin.

10 random thoughts:

1) Tiger Woods is about to take a fork in the road from all appearances. Either he is committed to his marriage and will fight to keep it intact by abandoning golf for a long, long time or the tabloid stories are correct that Elin has approached a divorce lawyer and about to give him the heave-ho in the new year. If the latter occurs IMHO that changes Tiger's complete approach to playing golf and he will return sooner rather than later. And to conservatives this may sound iconclastic but Tiger needs golf, whatever he has done with his life, good or bad. Actually Elin would be doing Tiger a huge favor if she chooses not to live with him any longer. Sure it won't be good for the kids but would it be good for the kids to be around a father that is extremely unhappy and despondent. I think not. By the way Sarah Palin also took a fork in the road in July that appeared unfavorable and that has worked out quite well, at least up to now.

2) What a 16 game football season teaches you about life is that most teams go through some rough patches and that the ability to overcome these rough patches and to post a winning record that qualifies you for the playoffs. Denver Broncos who won their first 6 games and then lost the next 4 games but appears may make a wild card, Tennessee Titans who lost the first 6 games of the season and then won the next 5 games but appears to be out of it and the NYG who won the first 5 games of the season and now might not make the playoffs. The key is to make sure the rough patches don't last too long and secondly to fight through it when adversity threatens to overwhelm you. As I pointed out yesterday in 2010 Sarah Palin will hit a rough patch somewhere; the main thing is to be aware of, not to conceal it or cover it up but to deal with, get the show back on the road and move on again towards the eventual goal of electing GOP congressmen and Senators.

3) This probably shows my age but when I think of Rock Hudson I think of his great movies than he made in the 1950's and the 1960's rather than the last few months in his life where it became a media circus that revealed the details of his private life and his subsequent death from AIDS. I pray that I can eventually feel the same way about Tiger Woods, that his personal indiscretions don't overwhelm me; I want to remember the Tiger Woods that won the US Open on one leg in 2008. By the way in a reverse take how many people think of Churchill as 'a voice in the wilderness' in the 1930's rather than fervent, inspirational leader during WWII who was voted the British man of the 20th century. And down the road how many Americans will continue to see Sarah Palin through the lens of the Katie Couric interview and how many will eventually see her as the savior of America, American exceptionalism and the American way of life?

4) I think it is proper to ask, does President Obama seek to de-emphasize Christmas to be POLITICALLY CORRECT or does he really believe for reasons of religion or ideology that is does not deserve the recognition, over centuries in Christian countries, that it has been deemed by authorities or government leaders to deserve? This is a clear line of demarcation between Obama and Sarah Palin.

5) The reason I love polls is that the numbers are the numbers and it is quite simple to go back and look at when Obama started to decline from his [...]

I re-watched the Conan clip several times, the last time focusing on the band.

It was an amazing 2 minutes, didn't you like right before she started reading, she pushed the book out quicly with both hands on it, like she was aiming at a moose 1000 yards away, and she knew ahead of time what she'd be eating for dinner - - - right next to the mashed potatoes . . .

And what a reaction when she walked in. The crowd was not simply hooting and hollering
- they were cheering a winner.

Thank you God, for raising up Sarah.

Notice that Obama had two of his worst polling days on the weekend when he traditionally does better and that this all happened after Sarah's appearance on the Tonight Show reflected in Saturday's polling and Sunday's polling.

Kjanlady,  December 14, 2009 9:40 AM

Sarah's jacket @ $36,600....4 days to go....think Sarah will match final bid.......wounded warriors.....wouldn't surprise me......

By the way......to what charity did Oblamo give his nobel prick prize ....probably will never hear another word about it.......sorta like what church does he attend in DC.

Whitney,  December 14, 2009 9:47 AM

POTUS 44=44% approval now

It'd be interesting to see new polling of Sarah's favorability this week following the book tour and media appearances.

Kjanlady,  December 14, 2009 9:50 AM

Since I refused to watch the Christmas is all about me Oprah special, I found a clip on Hot Air where Oprah asks Oblamo to grade his presidency....surprise, surprise....he gives himself a solid B+ and then goes on to talk about the mess he inherited, blah, blah.........Oblamo, get real....look at your poll numbers........the American people are the judges and the jury of your failed presidency........and in your wildest dreams from your father, you'll never hit a B+ .......you belong in the D- to F category.....the audacity of this dope.

yogi41,  December 14, 2009 9:54 AM

Well, we got our answer from yesterday. We were wondering how long he would be stuck at 46%; looks like he really is free-falling for now.

riley4palin,  December 14, 2009 9:54 AM

Good Morning Everyone!

What a glorious Monday it is turning out to be.

Governor Palin shows Hollywood and the elites how to do comedy in two minutes, and Obama is still making us all laugh with numerous appearances on our TV screens.

My thoughts on the Conan appearance:

Brilliant decision by the Governor.  I vote for many more media appearances in the future in many different venues.  The camera loves the Governor and she is a natural.  This is exactly how  you go about to sway the Independents.

Every person who has been on the fence about Palin must be convinced that she is as likable in the media appearances as when she differs from the Obama Adminstration regarding policy decisions.

My thoughts on the Obama 60 minutes interview:

1)  Obama couldn't help it but he blamed Bush....AGAIN.  Dana Perino tore him apart on Fox&Friends this AM.
2)  Obam was defensive and combative with Steve Kroft.  He is feeling the pressure of his policy decisions and lack of being a true leader.  He also doesn't seem to appreciate when someone in the media questions him about anything.
3)  Obama reminded us again he is the Commander-in-Chief.  Sign of weakness and insecurity continues for all his media appearances.
4)  Obama laughed out loud about the question about Afghanistan.  How did that come across on the TV screen?  Horrible.  He made light of it and obviously didn't have an answer to the question.
5)  Obama always sits with his legs crossed in every sit down interview like a petite and delicate woman having tea and scones with the Queen of England.  This man doesn't know how to look or act manly....EVER.

Obama on Oprah:

I was too busy watching the Giants/Eagles game to watch that one (and to be honest I didn't want to throw up my dinner), but I did see clips on Morning Joe this morning.

Obama gave himself a "strong B+" when Oprah asked him to grade himself through the first 11 months.

I was somewhat speechless about his response, but then I got to thinking about the man himself.  He went to Harvard because of Affirmitive Action.  He got his job in the Senate by being a Community Organizer.  He won the Presidency because he was more of a Black President than Bill Clinton, ACORN's efforts, George Soros, and all of the illegal campaign contributions with David Plouffe acting as Chair.

There isn't anything that Obama has done in his life that caused him to get a serious grade for anything.  He has received a free pass for everything and is in complete denial about everything.

Perhaps this is why Governor Palin must be destroyed.  She is the first politician that has ever really questioned him as a person and his policy decisions.  He cannot take the criticism and is lashing out like a child.

Bill in Baltimore,  December 14, 2009 9:56 AM

techno, good stuff, but

- I predict Tiger will never play golf again. Golf is a game of mastering your nerves and he won't be able to control his emotions in  the quietness of a drive or a putt.

- Tiger knows this and he cannot come back and thus cannot accept being a second rate golfer

- Though this is an odd comparison, what came to my mind is Charles Templeton, a famous young preacher from Canada whose early life paralled Billy Graham's in the 40's, when there was a spiritual awakening after the Depression. (He also had a two-week revival in Evansville, In)

o He later rejected his faith and ultimately died a broken man. His "seminal" work defining his rejection of God was "Farewell to God, My reasons for rejecting the Christian Faith"

o He famously said near the end of his life "I miss Jesus".

the parallel to Tiger ?

- what elevated Tiger / Templeton they ultimately rejected. And Templeton could never come back, even though his missed Jesus.

- Tiger unknowingly rejected the very thing that exalted him. Because if he respected his golf game, he would have protected it.

He will never play golf again.

Whitney,  December 14, 2009 9:59 AM

Wow, someone ate her Wheaties this morning.

yogi41,  December 14, 2009 10:00 AM

Even Oprah sounded surprised. She repeated "a B+?" That's okay, though. The Amerian people have given him a solid F and even Palin gave him an F (4 out of 10). His narcissism may be the only thing that saves us all. He's neither clever nor astute enough to switch courses to save his Presidency. He is only doing this for himself and his glory, which means his downfall will happen quicker than we anticipated. Which means, for us, we will have a proper checks and balances in 2010 and a real people's President in 2012.

The good news about Rasmussen is the Poll has kindof been a bellweather for the other polls.  Rasmussen had him going under 50 while the others trailed but eventually came around.  Now they have him creeping toward the mid to below 45.  It may take a couple of months but others will come around.  Soon you will see Dems in battleground districts avoid Obama as poison.  As this becomes more and more prevalant individuals will look for an alternative to his policies.  As the other GOPers try to play nice with Obama (ie  remember Charlie Christ) they will quickly look like Wiley Coyote on the Road Runner when one of his ACME products goes bad.

Kjanlady,  December 14, 2009 10:08 AM

Update:  Since I couldn't listen to the entire clip when the Oblamo went off on his favorite lying tirade, I failed to hear him say this......Solid B+ now but when we get health care reform signed it will be A-.........sick, nasty, little, narcissistic, marxist prick.....sorry but this guy makes me ill

(continued)

6) I will continue to advocate the case that any posting by Andrew Breitbart like the one posted yesterday by Joshua should be given a separate thread at C4P. Breitbart is the Thomas Paine of the modern conservative movement. As I asserted a couple of days ago IMHO at C4P we should never bury our heads in the hand and divorce Sarah Palin's political odyssey from what is currently happening in POPULAR CULTURE and act like the former occurs in a vacuum. For example yesterday Breitbart posted about Obama's main nefarious intention all along to impose the public option was to 'expand medicare' and everything else in Congress was mainly a diversionary tactic.

7) I know what a strict religious sense adultery is fornication before marriage but IMHO there is too much attention paid to Tiger Woods' sexual appetites BEFORE MARRIAGE and that the media has a responsibility to separate what he is alleged to have done before tying the knot and after taking his wedding vows. Does the media have any right to castigate Tiger for indulging his sexual appetites with this Holly Sampson character while not married for something that occurs with young men everyday of the week? I don't think so. If they do, then they should think seriously about calling Levi Johnston out as well?

8) The issue whether the MSM is hoping and praying that Sarah Palin faces Obama in 2012 is interesting because I do not believe there is one clear-cut answer. In the spirit of full disclosure, I believe that MSM were 'under orders' from the Obama war room during the campaign and before the Palin resignation to put the screws to Palin without mercy in order to bring her down; however since this was not accomplished and since the mainstrean 24/7 cable networks CNN and MSNBC aren't doing very well in the ratings I think they may have decided now to play both sides of the fence until we get closer to the 2010 midterm election, which is to host programs that and offer pundits the opportunity to still slam Palin but to also acknowledge that she is omnipresent, that she is a definite threat to the GOP establishment and that she could seriously challenge the Democrats as well, thus serving to LEGITIMIZE her. Propaganda in a free society with the presence of the Internet will only take you so far even if you are self-absorbed MSM. I think it is beginning to wake up to that reality. It cannot ignore her talents or continually imply she is a moron any longer.

9) A recent insider poll of Utah's GOP and Dems strategists has revealed 53.5 % of Republicans and 31.5% of Democrats believe Mitt Romney will be the GOP nominee in 2012; only 4.7% of Republicans and 6.3% of Democrats think Palin will be. What would be interesting is to find out why these folks this way, because an avid political follower I cannot think of one reason logistically why Romney should win the nomination: he is not strong in the south or mid-west, he is currently polling among conservatives and Republicans in the PPP poll at 50%, he has Romneycare as an albatross around his neck, and the current mood of the country is to moving away from moderation to become more conservative and not less.

10) I don't trust any of the Democratic Senators or independents like Lieberman who say they are not going to vote for Obamacare. It is not in my nature to take this approach because it implies utter cynicism about life but "I'll see it when I believe it" and not before. As many on C4P I consider Obama and his merry men and women unadulterated evil and as evil persons I would not put it pass them to attempt anything to get their way. As Sarah Palin said so well on the Eddie Burke program, "Obamacare must die." That doesn't sound like something Mitch McConnell, John McCain or [...]

Tech:

I believe Tiger's wife Elin will divorce him in the new year.

I am with you that Tiger will eventually return to Golf.  What else does the man know how to do, let alone excel at?  The timing of his return is still up in the air.

I still cannot comprehend how this man who built his image on being a fierce competitor who was the master at his art and claimed to be a "family man" let go of the most important thing a person needs to have when you are the media King of the Sports world - having complete control over your own message.

This is the first time in his career that Tiger didn't control the message.  It is almost like he went into a full tail spin from the moment of the car crash and now the damage is done.  Each day Tiger stays quiet, the media is controlling the message.  I believe more dirt will be coming and it won't be pretty.

Perhaps Tiger already was in a personal tail spin for many years prior...even before he got married.  Why marry if you want to sleep around with numerous women?  Why speak to women on a cell phone that you know can be traced and made public?  Why act so foolishly?

It seems like he has been in a self destructing mode for years and the only thing that saved him was golf.

Where is he now?  Why hasn't he made a public appearance?  Why are the only people speaking out the women in question?  Yikes.

I hope he gets the help he desperately needs.  I hope Elin divorces him for the sake of herself and her children as well.

I know I have said this ad nauseam but since there are probably newcomers to this site or to political understanding due to their newfound loyalty to Sarah Palin I think it is important again for me to confirm my feeling about Scott Rasmussen and the Rasmussen poll. Clearly Scott Rasmussen has demonstrated his personal political bias to certain politicians or ideological viewpoints (he does not like Palin) during the 2008 campaign but Scott, unlike some pollsters is a true professional, that in spite of his personal biases, does not allow that to interfere with his people taking a truly objective poll, that his adoption of using LIKELY VOTERS as his model, reveals the most accurate representation of a politician's fate at a given time.

And as proof of that Scott came closest of all pollsters in the 2008 election of predicting Obama's and McCain's percentage of the popular vote.

yogi41,  December 14, 2009 10:28 AM

I wanted to comment yesterday on the Breitbart article, in particular a quote from David Zurawik:

"Listen, there are a million things I do not like about Palin."

I mean, wtf ? A MILLION things ???? Are you kidding me.

That defies logic and it shows the vacuousness of his argument, and assumes everyone agrees with him.

Seriously, I would like to know ONE THING that he disagrees with. Just ONE.

Watching the Eagle's game yesterday, Vick is starting to be used in meaningful ways. The other team is going to have to start to "account" for him, when he comes on the field. Running of course, and now, throwing too.

RINOs, media, Washinton D.C. Elite, thought Governor Palin would be out of the picture by now. After what has transpired in the past year, would be death by a thousand roundhouses by now. But, because she is stronger, smarter, and has a firmer foundation than any of them realized, AND, all of these attacks seem to have made her stronger, she has to be "accounted" for. And really, she is the only offensive weapon the right has, in this battle. Everyone else is playing defense, she is on offense.
Thinking about what everyone thought this time last year, it is pretty cool, that the enemies from all sides, have to "account" for her at all times.

Yay INDIES (PUMA INDIES especially)  mwahhhhhhhhhhh!

RedDaveR,  December 14, 2009 11:01 AM

It seems that the MSM and the GOP elite are now trying to make Sarah the political version of the Tennessee Titans, with the 0-6 start corresponding to the Couric interview and the "quitting" meme.  They can't deny she is on a winning streak now, but claim it is coming to late to "save the season" and make the playoffs.  They are trying to find a way to declare her "mathematically eliminated".  Unfortunately for them, the "season" is turning out to be much longer than they would like.

cookboy,  December 14, 2009 11:03 AM

Nice to see it in print. A beautiful work in progress.

RINO-Hunter,  December 14, 2009 11:05 AM

That's what I'm thinking, although you'd think they'd want to bill that ahead of time because more people would show up.  Her presence would be worth another 20,000 people easy.

you know even BEFORE all of this his donations didn't even hit 1 percent (I remember someone looked that up while he was running against Hillary and making all kinds of speeches as if he were some GRAND charitable person, HA hardly!  And what he DID give no doubt went to Rev. <p><span>I’ve replayed Governor Palin appearance on Conan over and over again. But when I play it in ultra slow motion like trying to see if a player went out of bounds as he runs toward a touchdown; I observed her most remarkable confident strut. It’s not a model’s strut or a cowboy strut but a leader’s strut, able to instill confidence in people. She changes Shanter’s book from her right hand to her left then raises her right hand like a pistol letting Shanter know he’s fixing to get it. She steps farther in four steps than someone a foot taller she is amazing; and I realize spiritually she is a foot taller.</span>
</p><p><span>I believe Governor Palin’s self confidence will lead America out of recession and put fear in the hearts of our enemies. She has an indefinable confidence like Reagan or Churchill she will be remembered for a long time; because she will restore our confidence in America. I’m proud to be a witness to her rise to power.</span></p>

ladydawnelle,  December 14, 2009 11:09 AM

It read just like someone who is worried about being dissed by his own group of hostile haters.
And I agree a RIDICULOUS statement which sadly makes everythign else he says almost worthless as well!  Sadly!  Because I love reading all the good articles.

riley4palin,  December 14, 2009 11:09 AM

Nancy:

Here is a highlight of a typical Sunday in September thru Super Bowl Sunday in my world (don't laugh too hard):

1)  Church and then breakfast with family or friends.
2)  Green Bay Packer football game
3)  3:15 game immediately after that (yesterday Cowboys/Chargers)
4)  Squeeze in some Laundry, Ironing for work week, make dinner, feed dog, read newspaper
5)  7:30 Sunday night game (I refuse to turn channel to NBC until Keith Olbermann is completely off the screen).   That really was an exciting game last night!

I have come to terms with this and am in a 12-step program.

Hi everyone.  My name is Riley (not really).  Hello Riley.  If schedule permits, I try to watch nine hours of Football on Sundays.  I know I have a problem.  Thank you for coming Riley.

How do I relate this to politics and Governor Palin?  Well, after Sunday Countdown with Chris Berman I always here him say this about Governor Palin's future.

SHE.........COULD............GO..............ALL.............THE................WAY!!!!!!!

I thought that one of the keys to the resignation that most pundits apparently missed was that Palin would be able to go entirely on the offensive and attack Obama on several fronts without having a job or policies to be forced to defend.

In July I said at that time that Palin supporters could not overestimate the importance of Sarah of putting herself in this enviable position by removing herself from the foxhole to the high ground in order to advance in another question.

Excellent analogy. You better believe that Obama is so glad he is not up for re-election for 3 years.

ladydawnelle,  December 14, 2009 11:16 AM

I can't wait to see DEMS start distancing themselves (I totally remember how the R's did that to Bush in the end)  NO one wanted his endorsement on diddly!  Can't wait to see karma on that one.  I was no fan of GW but he never insulted my womanhood (only my intelligence on occasion) .  I was more worried about the man behind W's curtain.  With Obambam, I'm afraid the evil is ALL coming from the fraud himself.  When I see him I don't see a scary VP and scary cabinet.  I see a DOPEY cabinet and an EVIL Master Blaster called BHusseinSoreToesOdrama.

I just received the following e-mail:

Dear Friend,
As the Going Rogue book tour ends, I want to thank everyone for their outpouring of support. At every stop along the way my family and I were treated like members of your family and I can’t tell you how honored and thrilled I was by the opportunity to meet so many of my fellow Americans!
I've attached a link to some of our favorite photos from the tour. They reflect the warm feelings and energy that made each of the book signing events so incredibly moving.
After all our travels, it's even more obvious to me that the winds of change are blowing strong. At every stop people talked about the need to take our country back. So let's do it! 2010 is just around the corner and with it will come one of the most critical elections of our lifetime. With important House and Senate races across our nation and dozens of gubernatorial races we have the chance to make a positive difference throughout our country.
I am going to help campaign across our great nation and I'd like your help to do it. If you are able to contribute I will use the SarahPAC donations you place in my trust to support candidates who share our core values, and I’ll work on issues that can put America back on the right path. With your help, we can bring real change to America!
From my family to yours, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Joyous New Year.
God Bless the USA!

"the need to take out country back"

Boy, are those bold words and Sarah Palin throwing down the gauntlet to Obama.

Sarah Palin, clarity is your middle name.

riley4palin,  December 14, 2009 11:38 AM

After the new year, my predictions for Governor Palin:

1)  Lots of appearances in the Lower 48 to various parts of the country - keep the momentum going and to keep getting out her message.
2)  Give speeches - free and some paid
3)  Interviews will be limited
**4)  Will market a 2 for 1 book deal for 2010 holidays next year.  One will be policy book; other will be more mainstream and pop culture influence on everyday Americans and how that affects politicians and their decisions.

Kjanlady,  December 14, 2009 11:40 AM

Just think.....if Sarah gets donations from millions of Americans over the next three years and Oblamo continues to do his head first toilet dives........the 2012 election of Sarah as POTUS could be relatively cheap....we know Sarah will spend money wisely.....there could be lots of campaign funds available for future candidates.........even those, way, way down the line.......see avatar

This is a fine example of a deceptive number.

<span>"A recent insider poll of Utah's GOP and Dems strategists has revealed 53.5 % of Republicans and 31.5% of Democrats"</span>

It is very precise.

But that precision is absurd.

Did they really calculate responses from over 10,000 <span>Utah GOP strategists?</span>

No.

How many exist?  10?  5?

There are not enough to calculate to the nearest 0.1%.

The number is nuts.

And Dem strategists in Utah - thousands of them - nuts.

That "survey" is precisely wrong, on its face.

Whitney,  December 14, 2009 12:23 PM

44%=B+????

I think that was only true in my organic chemistry classes in college.

I guess this is true in Obama's head too.

PEC,  December 14, 2009 12:30 PM

Same here.  This is not for the blacks that posts here and are very thoughtful but I am going to be honest.  I work for some that Obama could go on stage, pull out a machete cut Michelle Obama's head off and they would say it was  Michelle's fault she deserved it and would still support Obama.  I can tell you (I am not worried) but if say we found out that Sarah is having an affair I would dump her as fast as I did Sanford.  Note I didn't say many years ago when she was in college.  I am sure like most of us here she did some things when she was young that were not that great.  Heck that is what we like about her she is human.  But now she is older I expect her to walk the walk.  And no I am not going to expect all SarahPac money to go to people I would vote for.  Au Contraire.  Sometimes I think she will go with middle of the roaders are far left loons.  Somebody like Lieberman is a good person so I definitely could see her going with him.   She knows these individuals better than us so I am going to trust her judgement.

A,  December 14, 2009 12:32 PM

Didn't you ever heard of grading on a curve? Jeez!
You are lacking simple, basic statistical knowledge, you must be one of those rednecks that clings to his guns and his religion.  /sarcasm.

Although I was glad the few times in college I was graded on a curve, I always felt like I deserved less and that the professor was cheating, as the overall grade of the class was a reflection on HIM and how well he tought. By grading on a curve (artificially setting the mean of the grades to C and the best grade (even if it was very low) to an A) the professor was giving himself a better grade and fooling the most stupid students into thinking that they actually learnt something. Another example of smart people ending up doing a stupid thing.

<span>Excerpts from Sarah's sarahPAC letter:</span>
<span>"After all our travels, it's even more obvious to me that the winds of change are blowing strong.

If you are <span>able to contribute</span> I will use the SarahPAC donations you place in my trust to support candidates who share our core values, and I’ll work on issues that can put America back on the right path. With your help, we can bring real change to America!"</span>
<span></span>
<span>Thank you thank you.</span>
<span></span>
<span>It would be so easy for Sarah just to sit back, enjoy her 7 million (or whatever it is) and perhaps write another book, get a radio show, travel the world, help Todd with teh Iron dog race.. (oops she is doing that :) ). But no. She will campaing in 2010 and probably put her family through the ringer again for us and for our country which will go off the cliff with another two years of democratic control of the House, Senate and presidency.</span>
<span></span>
<span>Thank you Sarah.
</span>

Now that we've got the inkling that Sarah might well be in DC (w/Laura Ingraham), I may have to revise the sign to "Sarah, help!"  Either way, it'll have Sarah's name on it somewhere!

BeeFL,  December 14, 2009 1:06 PM

I found obama's facebook page yesterday, 6 million friends, funny thing is A LOT of them are from other countries, and posting nice comments about what he's doing. If what he is doing is based on his facebook comments, then he is in for a rude awakening, and I think the polls reflect that. He obviously does not care what the people from his own country wants!

techno,  December 14, 2009 1:07 PM

There are just too many polls now that show Obama being abandoned by independents and whites in droves. As white voters make up roughly now 74% of all voters and that only 38% of them gives Obama the thumbs up that means only about 28% of white voters support Obama currently. And with A/A making up 13% of the vote and 98% still favor Obama that would add about 12 3/4% to Obama's approval number. The rest would be made of Asians, Muslims, native Indians, east indians, etc. to bring it up to 44%.

He seems himself as a citizen of the world, but forgets he is the President of the US.

MarkRNY,  December 14, 2009 1:09 PM

From his (almost said "Its". Wonder why?...) perspective he might have earned it. He's taken over banking, GM, Chrysler, Federal workers are growing exponentially, 800 plus billion dollar slush fund, set up an unaccountable network of "Czars"--all while hardly showing up for work. Not bad for a Maoist.

Now he must be destroyed though. Fun's over O!

This morning, I picked up my copy of Sarah Palin's GOING ROGUE at the post office. You can imagine my excitement at holding this best-seller in my hand. This was a gift (early christmas present) from a liberal friend of mine who lives in pensylvania. She is one of the many friends I know who don't GET Sarah at all, mostly because they don't bother to read and find out the real truth about her. I think this is largely due to fear: fear that once they give Sarah a chance, they might actually come to see her in a more favourable/positive light. Anyway, I'm still doing a work-in-progress on this friend of mine. Hopefully, she like others, will not be able to ignore the truth any longer.

Cheers to C4P. This is such a great site, and not a day goes by that I don't pop in to get my daily dose of ALL-THAT-IS-PALIN. And cheers to all commentators as well. It's a real privilege to associate myself with the PALIN BRAND.

AOL has a poll inviting you to grade Obama......currently 117,288 votes with the following results:

A    8%
B    11%
C    11%
D    29%
F    41%

Looks like about a 70-30 split to me.........<20% give him an A or B, thats about the number of radical leftists in the US

Fox needs to find another person to put out there on Tv for the Republican party. I don't know if it's just fox or the RNC, but John McCain is one of the people that turned many of us off to the republican party until Sarah came along. McCain needs to go! He doesn't speak boldly enough and when he tries, he stutters. Maybe Pawlenty, Demint, a younger face with a strong voice that can get the message out. I'm just sayin!

But how do the ratings compare to Sarah's appearance?

Of course, that wasn't prime time ...

MarkRNY,  December 14, 2009 1:30 PM

Been thinking about her contribution to the 10 mid terms. She's got the ability to have 10s of thousands of boots on the ground all over the country in support of conservative candidates of her choosing, at her behest. No one's able to do this but her. The RNC's nickle and dime compared to what she can do. Her supporters can be our answer to ACORN--All volunteers!

If she does this right, the 10 mid terms will be known as her mid terms. Wouldn't take much organizing on her part either. Type, type, send and a good website would be about it.

I never thought people's irrational hatred of Sarah will fuel my love for her, but it has. Every negative word I hear about or against her, makes me appreciate the worth of my unconditional support for this enigmatic woman. I know she must be doing something right, otherwise why would a supposedly 'irrelevant' private citizen be the subject of so much vile and viciousness?

Sarah Palin is going places...and I for one, I'm privileged to be associated with the PALIN BRAND.

Last week there were so many polls that I did not have a chance to focus on the Economist/youguv poll released Dec 10th. Why this poll is valuable is that it not only provides crosstabs but also measurements on other Obama's characteristics such as likeability and honesty etc.:

Here are some interesting findings:

1) This is the first poll that Econ has published in a month which not only reveals a 2 point drop in job approval but a 47.5/44.8 breakdown if you compare it to the RCP (Real Clear Politic) average (48.3/45.3) it compares very favorably

2) The is the 3rd poll in a row that Obama's white favorable has been between 42 and 43.5.

3) In one month Econ shows Obama dropping 8 points in his moderate F (60 to 52) that indicate the economic numbers and the unemployment rate of >10% have hurt him.

4)  Obama's male F has reached its lower water mark (LWM) of 45.3% (polls since July)

5) In the past 4 polls Obama's LIKEABILITY number has been between 64.2 and 66.1 which indicates Obama has been polling way below his 'personal charm' or 'gullibility' of the voters; this is a problem that must be addressed by Palin; increasing the Palin LIKEABILITY number would help.

6) In terms of perception in the Dec poll to show you how folks see things differently, only 29.6% of whites and 33.4% of Hispanics cite Obama's HONESTY but 69.9% of blacks feel Obama is HONEST. By the way only 30.6% of independent voters cite Obama's honesty.

7) And in terms of his DECISIVENESS in one month Obama fell 4 points (27 to 23) which could have been a result of Obama dithering over Afghanistan. Imagine only 23% of American voters view the current POTUS as decisive. That's not very good.

SOOOO, I find it interesting that Dick Armey sings praises about Pawlenty, but wasn't he on record dissing Palin recently?

Q: Who's really leading the Republican Party these days?

DICK ARMEY: ... I think there are people vying and becoming emergent as who can be the most effective voice. My own view is that (Minnesota Governor Tim) Pawlenty is the person standing on the safest ground. He has no major disappointments behind him. He has the chance to create a fresh new public understanding of who he is and what he stands for. Right now you have to put him there.

Sometimes I get them and sometimes I don't. This one from today, I did find in my inbox, but there have been others that people talk about that I didn't receive.

BeeFL,  December 14, 2009 1:57 PM

Another thought is that obama gave himself a B, because his plans are going fairly well, destroying our country. The only reason he did not give himself an A, because health care and cap and trade have not gone through yet. So in his mind, he's doing real good.
The problem is what he wants, is not want MOST americans want. He still does not see that. How many time have you heard, Well WE WON, so we get to do what we want. I guess he's so stupid, that he failed to see that almost HALF of America did not vote for him!

Deidre,  December 14, 2009 1:58 PM

Now we know why he won't show us his college transcripts. If he thinks his "work" this year deserves a B+, can you imagine what kind of grades they were handing out at Columbia University?

yogi41,  December 14, 2009 1:59 PM

Yeah, she wasn't having anything to do with those $5.00 increments. She asked "Why not just raise it by a pack of gum?" I figured she was going to make the change.

yogi41,  December 14, 2009 2:02 PM

Someone on a PUMA blog pretty much agreed with your assessment. He said something similar to this:

"Now McCain is angry. If he had shown this kind of fight in him during the election, or at least gotten out of Sarah's way and let her fight, he may have won."
