-Obama is now under 50% for the first time in the CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll.
-I'll add more stuff when it becomes available. What else is going on today?

Wanted to go to the signing in either Plano or Killeen. Trapped at the office in College Station instead. College Station would have been a really great site for a signing.....just saying.
As far as what else is going on today, Tommy, NCAA Div I Women's Volleyball Tournament kicks of play today. My Aggies are in Baton Rouge to play Arizona. The Women's College Cup semifinals will be played tonight at Texas A&M. They're expecting freezing temperatures and sleet/snow.
So can you only get one wrist band per person.. or can you pick one up for someone?
One per person. But you can have someone stand in line for someone else...
It is Friday. A bank will fail.
My money is on AmTrust. A pretty big one, and a goner.
That jacket that Gov. Palin was wearing in Plano this morning is STUNNING (http://www.star-telegram.com/804/story/1809379.html)!!
Imma have to roll her for that thing...*
*That's a JOKE Mr. Private Citizen's Secret Service-Like Man Who Might Be Monitoring :-)
my kid is in college station right now playing in the show case soccer tournament they have for high school age teams in conjuctiont with ncas games and will be watching the final four games in the snow i guess
Apparently WH Press Secretary Robert Gibbs insulted a veteran jounalist of American Urban Radio. She has interviewd President Bush several times and many other international politicians.
Read about it here: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ynews/ynews_pl1014
Arrogant WH. No wonder Obama numbers taking a dive.
<span>
<p>She was joined by her husband, Todd, who drew quite a crowd himself.
</p><p>"We call him 'Hottie Toddie,'" said one fan, Juliann Wood of Plano. "It was worth the wait in the cold to see him."
http://www.star-telegram.com/804/story/1809379.html
</p></span>
She never wears red?! What's the deal?
Yowza! Very nice indeed!
Is CNN going to fact check their own poll?
This is a bit late but the Harris Interactive poll conducted between Nov 2-11 of 2303 ADULTS shows Obama's overall F/UF in November at 43/57 with the Messiah in October being 45/55.
The jacket is gorgeous, just like her.
I can't wait to see her outfit for the Gridiron Dinner. Oh My Lord.
100 to 1 odds she even is able to turn Barney Frank's head a time or two.
"That's funny, so do I", said Barney Frank, Democratic Congressmen from Massachusetts.
What if . . . I'm standing in line from for say 12 hours, I get a wrist band for my two books, then Mrs. BiB saunters over and "shadows" me . . . is that ok ?
Obama below 50% is not good for him. In fact it is very bad. Take Sarah, Bush, Reagan etc. If they go below 50% at the end of the day people could say that they are at least tough. Not the case for Obama. He is perceived as weak. Likable (ala Jimmy Carter) but weak. You cant turn that on and off. If you look historically at Jimmy Carter he polled high but once perceived as weak he went downhill fast.
Oh and this is one of those polls that generally is on the high side. Dems will watch this and the blue dogs will soon be distancing themselves from this guy.
Getting ready for Fairfax - if anyone is going to be there, shoot me a tweet at @matthew_j_focht. If the circumstances present themselves, I may make it a full-on tailgate with burgers and dogs...
If you haven't heard the Lars Larson interview the highlight of it is when Sarah calls Huck's decision on Clemmons horrible and says that she is all for the "good" guys and not for the "bad" guys.
I don't want to think of why she would turn his head.
Okay, I'll think one little thing.
He would be checking out her to die for heels, I'm guessing.
8 more hours until I get to stand in line for 9 hours (from midnight to 9am) in Fairfax.
Wristbands given out at 9am, book signing at 11
(secret meeting with DC insider at 1:30. Mrs. BiB is a decoy)
At the Gridiron Dinner:
Governor Palin delivers a knockout speech. Roguing it out of the park...
And then the emcee says: And now for a more delicate, feminine take on things, let's welcome, Barney Frank.
It's been spitting all day. It looks like we'll get "snow" at about kick of the first match. Hope your kiddo has a great game!
I'll save you a sandwich...
And for folks who missed the Rasmussen daily tracking poll Obama's overall F/UF are today 46/54.
Obama's poll droppings are leaking worse than his Depends after a Facebook post.
Check house rules. Beware, the house can change the rules on a whim.
Yes, this is good. He nails the birther stuff just how I feel, but better than I would have said it.
I don't care what any of you say, I will never, ever poll Barney Frank. Ever.
Man, she looked stunning today. I was starstruck. She's an incredibly beautiful woman. All the women around were floored at how tiny she was and they kept saying, "she's had five kids and she looks like that?!" Palin is a stunning looking woman no doubt.
I loved the line Sarah used in the Lars Larson interview: today I'm riding the bus rather than being thrown under the bus. (in response to a question about the McCain campaign)
Still above his bowling score.
This Gridiron speech, I'm hoping will be all of her fantastic, sarcastic Facebook lines, and interview quotes, all rolled up and delivered high and tight to the left's chin.
I know she will be self-depracating, but I hope she delivers some of her sarcastic gold lines too.
That will cause some whining by the media, big time.
Can't wait!:)
They should fact check their ratings for Anderson Cooper 180, they are down like %60-70 from last year. OUCH!
Ya'll have fun and report!!
She is something else!:) I loved that line too!
Yesterday I heard RNC Chairman Steel comment on some of the great conservatives that will be candidates next year and/or represent the values of the conservative
party...like CharlieCrist of Flordia. Thought that was interesting and news worthy.
<span>Dan Riehl on <span>Why Palin's Birther Comment Made Me Laugh</span></span>
Tim Pawlenty is gaining in the Intrade poll currently and is currently 1.5 ahead based on the last price in the perception that he may be the main beneficary of the Huckabee "decision".
The trends are undeniably bad, no way to spin it. It ain't just Rassmussen anymore, even the slanted "random adult" media polls are turning up below %50 now.
Trust me, you don't want to even think about Obama in the Brian72 polls of late, if you want the molecular integrity of our universe to remain intact.
She has got Obama so wee-weed up, he has been putting his Depends on backasswards for months now.
Could explain the poll droppings.
I don't know what is wrong with me.
TGTBTB-Thank Goodness There's Bush To Blame
How about in the book where the "professional" pol in Alaska met Sarah with his buttons not matching up and the tail of his shirt sticking out of his, uh, pants.
LMAO, she is so funny !
How about her mocking the tree huggers cousins: "Hide the puppies and kittens. Sarah the witch is coming !"
ROFLMAO
Definately not part of Cleavage Czar duties.
Or Brian72 pollsters.
Isn't it great how Sarah says she "loves" people she disagrees with? She said that she loves Huckabee, but that decision was bad. She loves McCain, but he's wrong on ANWAR and Cap and Tax. How can they resist the charm?
1.5 points ahead of Palin
Does anybody know if the Gridiron spech will have press or be video taped?
....and half the room vomits in their dinner plates on cue.
<span>Could be.<span> </span>But <span>this</span> might have something to do with it too. </span>
*FACEPALM*
Isn't it ironic that CNN and MSNBC ratings continue to be in the gutter, and YET, noone gets fired?
The White House can even hang their hat on the fact that they are responsible for "saving or creating jobs" at inept organizations. Whoopdie ding fuzz.
Ditto Brian72
Hubris knows no bounds.
Pawlenty is a key player in the REPUBLICAN DEMOLITION DERBY.
Rather than acknowledging reality, he actually believes he can
a. win the nomination
b. beat Obama
and who is deluded you ask ?
Perhaps PawPaw could funnel resources and enthusiasm to TAKING BACK THIS COUNTRY NOW !
Well, there is some good news for Obama. I hear he just save a load of money on car insurance by switching to Geico.
0bama's numbers dropping, even Bill Ayers came out against his indecision to send more troops to Afghanistan. With Gov. Palin's book selling over 1 million copies in 2 weeks, maybe 2 million by the end of the year, with tens of thousands turning out to see her during the course of the tour, millions reading about it, hearing about it, and millions more hearing and seeing her interviews on TV and radio, we know the cause of the near hysterical meltdown on the left.
When you look at the really stupid stuff that Axelrod and company have come up with, the airplane ride, "quitting" the Turkey Trot, and others even more forgetable, they aren't even grasping at straws any more, they're grasping at air, and making themselves look even more foolish than they usually do.
Was that before or after he said that Tiger Woods was also a super duper husband?
I read on another blog, can't remember which one, that she showed up at 7:00 a.m. and stood outside to sign books for people in line, even though the scheduled book signing indoors wasn't until 11:00 a.m.?
I was under the impression you had to pay people to watch him.
hmmmm...maybe that explains for his poor speech at West Point...he looked kind
of pained and not too happy. Sorry to hear that. Depends backwards will probably do that to you.
So Nancy are you coming down on Tuesday?
Or should I say.. coming up? LOL
Thank all that is good that thing is outside the lawful jurisdiction of the Cleavage Czar.
*[{(shudder)}]*
Don't forget Cheney, Rumsfeld, Ashcroft, Gonzalez, Myers, Rove, Card, Bolton
If that is indeed true, kudos to Governor Palin.
That is excellent PR.
That is what he thinks he is doing. The old fashioned way, we bought it.
More video from Plano.
http://www.star-telegram.com/804/story/1809379.html?video=true
If they worked for McCain (or most of the McCain workers) and Sarah doesn't hire them that is good. I think the C4P Sarc Sisters, Charter, Techno and Bill could better run a campaign than McCain's camp. In fact I know they could. McCain loss to an empty suit.
Did anyone catch the other long line inside the bookstore waiting to purchase The Audacity of Hope?
No, me neither.
Tim Pawlenty is trying to position to be the establishment candidate. With Huckster out, it greatly helps Sarah. I'm not sure though what effect Pawlenty running has. Would he take more votes away from Sarah or Mitt?
He always feels like somebody's watching him.
My gut tells me Mitt and T-Paw fight it out over the anybody-but-Palin faction, which is smaller than the Palin faction, so it's not good for them.
You mean at the returns desk?
Brian72, I thought that they were going to pull out their umbrellas instead, to dodge all of the spit coming out of his mouth.
FLash Flood Warning!
"Palin Revolution"!!!! Yeah, TexMex!!! It is, indeed.
What is Pawlenty's effect? How many know who he is? What are his ideas? He isn't getting them out there. Sarah is. Sarah rox.
Pawlenty can try to be whatever he wants to call himself these days, but he doesn't have the two most important ingredients needed for a successful campaign - money and the passion from voters willing to walk over broken glass to vote for you.
Michael Steele is the epitome of what is WRONG with the Republican Party. Steele needs to GO.
from NRO:
TWO 2008 GOP RIVALS, SHOWING SOME BROTHERLY LOVE
http://campaignspot.nationalreview.com/post/?q=MzA2MzYDNWY4ZWVlOTgxNjA2NW14MT
My comment:
As I expected Mitt wants to prop Huck up so he can stop T-Paw's possible momentum which would be a challenge to Mitt and for Huck to split the vote with Palin so he, Mitt, can come up the middle.
Pawlenty was a frequent guest on MSNBC yuking it up with Chris Matthews and Joe Scarborough on occasion. That was up until a few weeks ago when he bumbled the question of who should be in the Republican party.
He also frequently gets screen time with Hannity (who doesn't) and though he makes a valiant effort, he is drier than a cactus in Arizona in August.
Tim also "fought" tooth and nail to keep Al Franken from becoming a Senator from MN, but no such luck.
I just read today that he has hired John McCain's finance director for his PAC. If all goes as planned, Tim should be able to raise $10,000 by June of 2011.
Tommy Report:
You asked what else was happening...
Good Grief man, it is SNOWING in S.E. Texas.......that got NO mention on the open thread??????
This is BIG, TR, BIG. Good grief, school was let out early this is such a BIG event. Blockbuster is closing early in my hometown on a FRIDAY night, this is such a big event. I dare say this is bigger than, gulp, high school football....gasp....yes. THAT BIG.
My kid is running around in the backyard, still, taking visual measurements of when and if it is accumalating yet.
Snow in S.E. Texas....the COAST of TEXAS, deserves a mention on the open thread!!!
Sarah is homesick.. it snowed just for her!
Yawnlenty couldn't carry Minnesota much less win a General Election. Look the establishment is grabbing for straws. They tried Mitt, didn't work, trotted Jindal out after Obama's big speech early and the year and the only good was the stock for NoDoz went up after listening to Jindal so he is gone. Barbour is gone before he started. Sanford chases chicks around the world instead of governing followed with Ensign so they are gone. Gingrich backs a candidate that switches to the Dems the day after she withdraws so Newt is toast. I hear Thune being next in cue for the anybody but Sarah RNC establishment. My guess is the RNC saw how Sarah stood up to the Alaska RNC when they were wrong and now they are scared to death of her.
Awesome, was that you?????
This is a link to an Opinion writer for the college newspaper at Whitman College (not Ace Novelty Company) in Walla Walla, Washington. He interviewed me while I was in line for the Palin booksigning, in nearby Richland. I am "Jeff from Camas, WA". :^)
http://whitmanpioneer.com/opinion/columnists/2009/12/01/palin-country/
Yup, that was me guys! My favorite shirt ;) I was so starstruck when I shook Palin's hand. I had planned on saying, "On behalf of the Texas C4P contingent, welcome to the Lone Star State!" All I could manage was," Hey Gov. Palin, Welcome to Texas." I may or may not have drooled. Haha. They cut out all my C4P plugs. Ah well!
Good write up. He stayed away from giving his opinion on everything. I guess journalists just become corrupt after years of work.
If I were before Mrs. Palin, I would be every bit as nervous.
if I were talking to Mr. Obama, that would not be true at all.
It is the respect I have for one and not the other.
“She’s not an ordinary politician . . . if it were Mike Huckabee or Romney . . . you wouldn’t see a line like this,” said Jeff of Camas, Wash.
Good one!
I met Sarah Palin, briefly, and she was interested enough to ask what I did for a living. I told her I wrote for my college’s newspaper and had the time to fire off one question: “Are you the future of the Republican Party?”
She smirked, hesitated, gave a little laugh and responded coyly, “. . . Could be.”
Holy geez, I love her!
How's that global warming working out for you lipstick? :)
Whitman College is a small school with a ton of good young people, no matter what their beliefs are.
Thanks Jeff, good job
Nicely done.
Did anyone see the latest Sullivan blog where outright lies again? How does this man continue to even garner employment as a serious journalist?
Local CBS coverage w/ video of the Plano signing:
http://cbs11tv.com/local/sarah.palin.palin.2.1349412.html
(According to them about 1300 books were signed at the Plano event)
not at either of the signings i was at. anyone can wait outside in the line, but when you start getting closer to sarah, they want your wrist band. they cut it off (so you cant get back in line) and allow you in to see her. no wristband, no sarah.
Global warming is awesome. It has allowed the unimaginable to happen. Snow two years in a row here.
This is REAL snow. I'm looking outside now (my kid is STILL running around out there...brrrrrr) The flakes are big and fluffy, it is beautiful. It is really sticking now on the ground and tree limbs.
Perhaps, Cruela is right, this happened with the guv, the queen of the north in Texas...I'm sure that had an effect.
Also, I had not doubt Todd would join Sarah in Texas, no one, I repeat, no one, passes up a chance to visit Texas.
tex mex - Great work. You are quoted often and you did well. No extreme comments. This is why the C4P posters need to talk to the press as we have done the research and cannot have the press sharpshoot us.
You're close PEC, but it's not Yawnlenty, it's Yawnplenty. :)
Speaking of money for pacs. When does Sarah have to report her pac money again???
I'm jealous. I'm in CT and YOU'RE the one getting snow. Pouts. :(
Just stopping by to say hi. Off to Xavier basketball game tonight and dinner, but will be back to hang with you all on the late night thread. Keep up the sarc until then!! ;)
February 2010
Lipstick,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on El Paso! I appreciate it. I'll have a big decision to make here soon. TX, IL, or perhaps elsewhere? I almost went to college in TX, so maybe this is my second chance of experiencing it. :)
Thanks, PEC! I actually spoke to this reporter for 5 minutes. He read my shirt and sort of snorted, "Palin Revolution?" He asked me why I liked Sarah Palin, I answered that I liked her policies and he immediately interrupted and said, "What specifically?" Oh man that was like catnip. I listed off her energy policy, her stance on the current healthcare bill and her desire for a strong national defense. Naturally, that didn't make it in. Too long and wonky. I also empahsized her experience as city council member, mayor, oil and gas comissioner and gov. For anyone to ignore that background is being purposely disingenuous. They were more concerned with us showing up so damn early. Ah well.
Yep, I'm working it out! It will be a blast!:)
how about alaska?!
It just began snowing here in South Louisiana. I know most of you don't understand why we are so excited but this is maybe only the third time in 50 years it has snowed here. It will only last for a few hours-it's supposed to be in the nid-50's tomorrow.
Gotta love this global warming.....if it keeps up Louisiana may get it's own glacier. Wonder if Todd has any used snow machines for sale?
Great coverage...thanks for link...loved the little boy about Triggs age she stopped signing books for and held.
This is quite funny and sad.....
http://jammiewearingfool.blogspot.com/2009/12/hillarys-smart-diplimacy-on-display.html
Hmm... I haven't looked up there for a job. This TX opportunity just fell in my lap. I wasn't looking for it. I'd like to at least visit AK someday that is for sure.
You rocked it :) Loved it!!
Tweet from AP at Hot Air: <span>allahpundit</span> <span></span><span>Sullivan: Palin's birth certificate comments have put Trig Trutherism back on the table <span>http://is.gd/5cDze</span></span>
He's no Bigfoot!
Hi everyone been out all day today glad to here Sarah neutralized the "birther" meme before it got started, just checked newsbusters nothing at all about it, I ven checked Chrissy Matthews's show, he asked Tom Ridge about supporting Palin but he didn't say anything about her being a birther, I was surprised because Chrissy seems obsessed with the birthers
even
So they put the wrist band on you when you get it? Or can you have someone pick one up?
Yeah, it seems to only be getting the rounds on the blogs. I'm glad she came out with the fbook post quickly. I think that might have been the reason for it to be downplayed in the MSM.
lol
No you destroyed their plan of talking to people that don't know her policy and they get tripped up. You tied them down from interviewing somebody (and they are out there) that couldn't find Alaska on a map. After hearing you speak intelligently their plan was shot down. Good job.
Like that freak ever thought they were off the table.
This only makes Sully look worse, and generate more sympathy for Sarah.
Way to go, Milky Glutes. Keep it up, idiot.
well since it's almost the weekend this won't be much of a story.
I know Kjanlady. You just don't get how HUGE this is unless you are from here.
I am OFFENDED, I tell you, OFFENDED this is not mentioned as a topic on the open thread post. We mention football stuff and not this? After all the great sarcastic comments I have contributed here? ;)
Snowing in S.E Texas and in South Louisana.....should be under the what else is happening....no doubt!
IT makes this guy look like a bigger fool so this is good. Remember conspiracy theory.
Ok, follow me on Twitter at TheSarahReport, for updates at Fairfax. I will get there around midnight.<span> </span>
I do!
I do! ;)
that guy is a serious mental patient. He needs to go on the meds NOW
I do Lip...;)
Truthfully, if that is what it takes for the 'birther' controversy to go away, so be it. "Birther" waters full of sharks and piranhas waiting to devour anybody who wades too deeply in.
Yes I think so too, I think that Olbermann and Madcow will lead their programs with it but who cares no one watches them, I hope now that comcast owns msnbc they would at least have the decency to fire bathtub boy I seriously think he has mental problems and really needs psychiatric help
Well done, sir. You annihilated the little Snidely Whiplash with your set of talking points. Sent him back whimpering to his editor.
Please, Andrew!
The more Andrew makes Trig Trutherism an issue, the more it makes Sarah looks like a Mother Wronged. Andrew is leading this goober gaggle of people who are obsessed with where Trig came from. The sad thing is, Trig Trutherism got its start as an attempt by the Kos Kids and MoveOn to push this weird conspiracy theory into the Mainstream Press. Plus it looks as if they are trying to hit at Sarah by picking on the Down's Child.
Bad Mojo all the way around.
That's why for a while last night I thought what Sarah said was deliberate baiting. I still wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't.
I would too Whit the closest I have been to AK is vancouver
I read somewhere that he is on meds for HIV and that they do affect brain function, does anybody know what I am talking about? As much as I despise Mad Sully, I like to get the facts straight
Eewwww!
Agree. I think this is bait on the hook. She just needs him to cross the line with a hard she isn't the mother and then he is court bound with defamation of character.
section9, Sarah is playing chess and her critics are playing checkers
Gotcha BIB I am PEC111
The 10 people who watch both shows will be glued to their sets LOL
I suspect that half of their viewership is just people like us who are just curious to see how crazy those two really are
Don't count on it. Comcast jumped in with Obama already.
A little advance apple-polishing by Comcast on ObamaCare posted at 2:55 pm on December 4, 2009 by Ed Morrissey
On the same day Comcast announced it was buying a 51 percent stake in General Electric’s NBC Universal, its CEO sent a letter to President Obama supporting the Senate’s healthcare bill.
At virtually the same time, high-ranking Democrats in the House and Senate said Thursday they will closely scrutinize the proposed alliance to determine its impact on the media marketplace.
Coincidence?
Bathtub freakerman probably isn't going anywhere. They will most likely extend his contract.

Whatever floats their boat I guess, Could they at least fire him from Sunday Night Football? I refuse to watch football on NBC no matter who is playing
Or, if your hip, T-Yawn
The reason the MSM do not want to touch this story is Sarah will then pin them in the corner to go as OBAMA about his records and then they end up looking like fools. I have said all along this is a win win situation for Sarah.
as=ask
Yea, Comcast is awful. Those jerks put that God awful Larry Flint movie on it's pay view channel for Comcast customers. I despise comcast.
She knows how to defeat Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals, OT I have been wondering this lately Rules for Radicals has been around since the late 60's I think, how come we didn't become aware of it until about a year ago?
I heard Chrissy talking about Sarah "cozying up to the birthers" or something close to that in his opening remarks...didn't stick around to hear any more of his drivel.
Golly...will it ever end?!?!?!?
"Critic files complaint against Alaska officials
Associated Press - December 4, 2009 6:54 PM ET
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - A longtime critic of Sarah Palin has filed an ethics complaint alleging past aides of the former Alaska governor misused state resources during her run as the Republican vice presidential candidate.
Andree McLeod filed her complaint Friday with the state attorney general's office. Six other ethics complaints filed by McLeod against Palin or her staff have been dismissed.
In the latest grievance, McLeod maintains eight staffers in the former governor's office violated the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act by using state time, property and resources to benefit the campaign of presidential hopeful John McCain and running mate Palin.
Judy Bockmon, an assistant attorney general and the state's ethics attorney, could not immediately be reached for comment."
Hey I'm on Dish Network you should really consider it, its pricing is reasonable and you don't have to sign a contract for it like DirecTV makes you do
great Falafel Lady is back I was hoping she would make a comeback
I tuned in halfway while Beck was on commercial guess I didn't see that part Thank God
This is a joke, right?
I didn't think a sarc tag was even required
I've had Dish for 9 years. They'll have to pry that dish off my roof when I'm dead!
I Dish you a Merry Christmas lonestar, btw when was the last time you gave a rasberry to Dark Helmet?
The "on air personalities" must leave their televisions on at home to get to those 10.
or they pay those 10 to watch
Car is packed and ready to go. Can't wait to get there - the wait is going to be half the fun!
The games are usually the good ones, and I do really like Al Micheals, he is the best.
How I solve it is I watch pre-game on NFL Network, then switch to the actaul game after Freakazoid is gone. He does not appear on the halftime break at all, only pre-game.
But yeah, I wish they would bounce his a$$ off of there altogether.
So.....this is her hobby now?
I can't believe this idiot is still barking up this tree. Good grief, somebody sue her into oblivion!
Andree should just off herself already. She obviously has no purpose in life. This is all she lives and breaths for, its a real shame
This woman is one sick puppy. Imagine that, being on this earth having nothing better to do then go after someone. She is in some desperate need of psychological counseling. I really hope she gets the help she needs. She has severe emotional issues. Sarah saw it right away when she refused to hire her, she saw that the lights were on but no one was home
I got frisbees, umbrella, blankets, beat-up lawn chair.
Who's got the food ?
The final videos of Sarah's visit and interview with Billy Graham are up.
http://www.billygraham.org/News_Article.asp?ArticleID=730
I just have to say this lady blows me away. I was especially touched by her responses about Godly leadership. Not very long ago on one of my blog posts I wrote about how amazing it would be to have a political leader who would tell us to quit looking to the government for answers and start looking to God, turn back to Him. Then there's Sarah saying exactly that. No political leader has all the answers, but if we turn back to God as a nation He will help us find the answers. Blew me away, she just so fits the bill of the leader we need right now. I don't know if she will be president one day (don't get me wrong I would love for that to happen), but I know she is a leader for our time. I will humbly stand with her.
manajordan, yes, she blows me away too. I'm so glad I saw these videos.
I agree about her getting psychological help. I mean really, what else could it be but some form of insanity? I use to laugh at her - and loath her - but now I sort of pity her because she has proven herself to be <span><span>obviously quite disturbed.<span> </span></span></span>
O there will be coverage, for sure. I want to follow someone there on twitter!
I find the pity hard to muster. I'm in the angry stage.
Xactly! walk the talk PawPaw! Little self absorption going onnthere, ya think?
You Mean The Audacity of Dope? No missed those lines.
He is probably there to eacort her to the Gridiron tomorrow.
<p><span><span>Yea it really pisses me off that she has cost Alaska and Sarah a boatload of money and needless grief, but her continual obsession is so damn bizarre that I guess part of me just sort of pities her.<span> </span><span> </span></span></span></p>
You guys are right about HotAir: if he can find anything negative to say about Palin he prints it. Half the stuff would never see the light of day if it wasn't for Hot air. Are you sure he isn't a Democrat?
Go Muskies!
Thx I am Ohio4Sarah
No. It is her job. A new Federal job created. Check recovery.gov.../
There was a Hardball segment on "Palin endorses birthers?"
Now it is a thread at HotAir. Allah isn't buying Ace's take. Of course, he must make something out of this.
This from the comments at HotAir:
How about Mark Levin?
He and Sarah Palin both believe Obama was born in the US, but support citizens asking the question.
He just defended Sarah Palin on the radio and said “Why is it so difficult to produce a birth certificate? The one who looks stupid is the president for not presenting it.”

Looks like tonight's Mark Levin Show is going to need a post with a clip.
On BOR next: Dumbest Things
Joy Behar and Robert Gibbs were shown.
That's it.
Oh wait, they are going to actually do a segment on these two goobers.
Sarah is scheduled to leave Foot Hood airport at 8:40pm central time and arrive at Washington Dulles at 12:13 +1 eastern. Pray for a safe flight there is a lot of bad weather between there and wasington
That spiteful shrew Michelle Berrard, was on Hardball again, she's turning out to be like the other Nicole Wallace
BOR talking about Mr. Estes's letter that Governor Palin linked to.
They are making fun of the lefty bloggers making a big deal of him calling President Obama "son".
Greg Gutfeld said it is all part of Palin Fever?(I think), which replaced Bush Derangement Syndrome.
BOR and Greg both thought her post was great.
Notice Ms. "Entertainment Correspondent" did not comment at all.
She is a very beautiful girl, but too into "celebrity" crap.
I hate that stuff so much.
Hardball had less then 5 mins. about this story and went on to other things.
You could tell Crissy really wasn't into it and knew that he was trying to make something out of nothing.
This lady is a nut case and must have someone in the democratic party backing her.
Okay, there's a progressive feminist blog that I like to lurk at now and then, as they are anti-Obama and it's fun to read their posts. For the most part, they are reasonable people who post over there and have always been fair to Sarah. November 30th's post resonated with me, because for quite a while now, I've seen a lot of similarities between Sarah and Andrew Jackson. Well, so did the owner of the blog, who wrote the following post that I'd like to share with you:
Keep in mind, I have to split this post up, as I'm only allowed 5000 characters. It will be continued below this one:
The female Andrew Jackson
Someone emailed me last night about Sarah Palin. “Do you think she’s going to run for president?” my correspondent asked.
Of course she’s going to run for president. She’s already running for president.
I knew that the day she resigned the Alaska governorship. Some people thought she was really retiring from politics. Not me. I watched the video clip of her resignation speech and knew exactly what was up.
“I’ll be damned,” I said to myself. “She’s Andrew Jackson.” Literally. I said those actual words.
I say those same words to myself almost every time I see her on the news. Latest report: thousands of people lined up around the block in some little town, waiting for her to sign their book. People crying. Women bringing their babies, bringing pictures of their menfolk who are deployed in Iraq.
It reminds me of the story of Andy Jackson’s Inauguration, with the people climbing through windows and standing on the furniture in the East Room. Broken glass trampled underfoot; huge punchbowls of lemonade on the White House lawn. A joyous mob of rednecks and riff-raff.
Jackson was pretty uncouth himself. He may have been backwoods nobility by his own lights, but to the East Coast elites, he was practically a caveman. He and his wife Rachel were Scotch-Irish hillbillies, the kind of people who lived in cabins and chewed tobacco. Their marriage was a bit off, too: they had probably cohabited before getting hitched, with Andrew chasing off Rachel’s first husband with a pistol. John Quincy Adams got all sniffy about that. “A convicted adulteress,” his supporters called Rachel. A “common harlot.” They said Andrew Jackson’s own mother was a prostitute too, a British camp follower who’d married a mixed-race man somewhere in those godforsaken backwoods. That was early 19th-century speak for “trailer trash.”
But the people loved Andy Jackson. Adored him. He was the first truly populist, grassroots political figure in American history.
He was also, it must be said, a horrible man. A genocidal white supremacist whose Indian wars and forced removals were what we’d now call ethnic cleansing. He was also a slave owner, a bellicose imperialist, and a demagogue who vastly overstepped presidential authority. Nevertheless, he was a hero to the common citizens of his time and place. And the populist democracy he brought to Washington was probably his greatest (albeit occasionally dangerous) contribution to American politics.
CONTINUED FROM ABOVE:
I don’t know how successful Sarah Palin’s political career will be, but I do know she’s tapping into the same vein of popular resentment and working-class sensibility as Jackson. The amazing thing is that she’s a woman. That’s a first in this country: a female politician who functions as an inflammatory, fire-in-the-belly populist hero. A female Andrew Jackson! If she weren’t so politically divisive, I’d say we should put up a plaque.
Unfortunately, I don’t like Palin’s political views much more than I like Jackson’s. I wish to hell she were a liberal, or at least a Democrat. Then I could enjoy this with equanimity. As it is, it feels kind of like watching a woman become the head of the mafia. Part of me is going, “oh, hey, a woman…” But on the other hand, it’s still the mafia.
I will say this: if liberals (or Democrats) want to discourage Palin’s popularity, they need to stop with the double standards and the misogyny. The folks who make up Palin’s base may be misinformed on policy matters, but they’re not necessarily stupid. They can see quite well that Sarah Palin is no nuttier than most of the other clowns in the political circus, especially the Republicans (with a special shout-out to our Democratic Vice-President, who is a talking donkey.) They can also see that despite this basic kinship of clowns, Palin is nonetheless singled out as if she’s some kind of unique inbred subnormal mucus-dripping monster from outer space.
Her fans think this is down to anti-conservative bias, plus some class snobbery. I think it’s mostly sexism, plus some class snobbery. Either way (or both), the snobbery is coming through loud and clear. Which does not bode well for Democrats.
What Democrats (or liberals) ought to be doing is studying what it is that makes Palin so popular. They might start here, for example. They might also think about why and how Palin’s womanliness appeals to so many people. Because it does, and not for the reasons you might think.
Here’s a tip, offered gratis to everyone on the left: repeating over and over again the pet phrases and canned insights you’ve picked up about Palin and her supporters from other leftists (Bible Spice/purity queen/racists/white resentment/teabaggers) is the equivalent of sticking your fingers in your ears and going “lalalala I CAN’T HEAR YOU lalalalala.” It might play well on the blog circuit, but it’s not helping you understand what’s really going on.
Assuming you want to, of course.

The comments left at the post were gracious and respectful. A few even plan to vote for her. :)
The only problem with Ace's statement, is that it suggests it a tactic, whereas she said what she really felt, as she always does
Great post Yogi...enjoyed that
Yeah, but keep in mind these are progressives, so they're apt to take swipes at conservatives and our beliefs. Perhaps that's why I enjoyed it; progressives, like Hillbuzz and a few other sites (The Confluence) who post positive statements about Sarah now and then lift my spirits. Who knows? By 2012, they may even volunteer to work for her campaign. ;)
I think the best "medicine" for this woman is a summons, and courtroom thrashing by Thomas Van Flein, someone from the Alaska AG's office, and Mark R. Levin, until she can't buy the paper to write her stupid complaints on. Then, she can get an evaluation and be institutionalized if required. At that point, my compassion may be available. Maybe.
That's what the elitist left doesn't get. They think that calling her someone who is not in the elite is going to help Obama. Attacking her the way they do on the stupidest of things is simply gonna help her gain the underdog image as the candidate of the people.
People like Chris Mathews just have no clue what is growing out there, and Obama failing so spectacularly is not helping his secular statist elitist side.
Yogi: what a great article you posted. She is Andrew Jackson. With huck out of the picture Sarah is clear through Iowa and SC. there's never going to be an obama again in our lifetimes. between the lsm and blogoshere every candidate will have had a public colonoscopy prior to their nomination.
Now I guest Robin of Berkeley, had to throw in those rather dark aspects of populism, but that's not really in her record. She is really the sunny side of populism, the cheery can do spirit, although to America's enemies, she would feel like old Hickory
Actually, she probably read Van Flein's statement on Sarah's FB and decided to take things up again. Sigh.
Just read Recovering Democrat's account of Gov. Palin's speech at College of the Ozarks, it was excellent, everyone should read it.
So, 1200 people at Ft Hood gave Gov. Palin an enthusiastic welcome, and the AP (Anti-Palin) is surprised, but why would Ft. Hood be any different than everywhere else whenever she appears. My bet is is that it was well over 1200 people.
It can be both.
