Private Citizen and Mother of Five Strikes Fear in the Heart of Major Political Party

Earlier today, John Kerry and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) sent out an email soliciting donations to fight a woman that Democrats have publicly called insignificant.

Let's go to the source:

Think GOP obstruction is bad now? Just imagine what Washington would look like if a bunch of new senators - inspired by Sarah Palin and the tea party crowd - took over.

Fiscal responsibility, reining in government spending, an end to government overreach, a better economy? Heck, yeah. Where do I sign up? Are these guys serious? I don't know if SarahPAC could write better copy.

Either we match the passion and activism of these new forces in the Republican Party, or they'll be choosing who's sitting in the Senate, steering our country's course. If we don't match them dollar-for-dollar, we will lose Senate seats in 2010. And the loss of even one or two would flip crucial votes in their favor and doom President Obama's agenda.

Doom President Obama's agenda? The agenda that is bankrupting the country and mortgaging the future of our children? The agenda that threatens to radically change the course of this country away from free-market principles? Alright, that's it. Everyone go to SarahPAC right now and donate generously. And I mean it. Go. Now. C4P will still be here when you get back, I promise. This is our call to arms, ordinary barbarians. Head on over to SarahPAC and vote with your dollars which direction you think this country should go.

If they win, they will be doing the bidding of Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and their legions of fans. The best chance we've had in generations to make positive change will have ended.

Wow! For someone that is insignificant they are certainly validating her as an important force in the conservative movement.

Thanks, Mr. Kerry. You've been an excellent spokesperson in convincing people to donate for SarahPAC. Keep up the good work!

It's funny to think that little ol' Sarah Palin has the entire democrat party, and their media minions and allied bloggers so terrified, that they tie themselves into knots on an hourly basis trying to come up with something, anything, to attack her with. All they can come up with is verbal tomatoes that miss the mark by a mile. They are pathetic. I can't wait for 2010, because I suspect we will see, and hear a lot of Gov. Palin, and it will drive the loons crazier than they already are, and it will be really fun to watch.

Poor John Kerry..hey John, why the long face, just go have yourself some Heintz ketchup, it will do you some good. Hmmm, so Obama's agenda will be doomed if Sarah Palin and the tea party movement succeeds..hmmm, decisions decisions, what is better, living in the Socialised, Marxist States of America, or living in Freedom, Democracy, the way our founding fathers wanted us all to live..gee, I wonder which one I am gonna choose..Well, to give u all a hint, I just went to SarahPac and gave a 20 dollar donation..so that answers your question

defendAmerica, December 15, 2009 11:24 PM

THANK YOU SARAH!! I was waiting for this one!!

Happy HanukkahShare Today at 11:19pmTodd and I would like to offer our best wishes to the Jewish community as they celebrate Hanukkah. Known as the Festival of Lights, Hanukkah commemorates the eight-day miracle that took place when the Temple in Jerusalem was rededicated. Though there was only enough consecrated oil for one day, the flame miraculously burned for eight – just long enough to prepare more. This beautiful story is rich with life lessons for members of all faiths. With hope and dedication nothing is impossible, and the Almighty never abandons those who seek the light.

Can we dare imagine just how much $$$$$ could be raised if/when Sarah spends a few weeks asking for donations.

What was that line when Daggett started complaining. "Well I wasn't planning anything, but now that I think about it"

Ya - and she is not even trying. She's just out Christmas shopping and getting ready for the Holidays. She takes 3 minutes off to knock the Terminator into the next century and then it's ho hum, yawn - 'anyone else'?

Imagine what she could be doing if she were to take off the gloves for a few weeks.

I just "fact checked" this letter. (PDF search is great!). Palin's name was mentioned FIVE times in the letter! Beck and Limbaugh once each. Somebody needs to break it to Bob Beckel, he still thinks she's irrelevant.

Sinistar, December 16, 2009 12:03 AM

It is kind of old news now, but that is the first time I saw the giant al gore head with the Palins.

Here's the video of them carving it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDc23eXNvsk

Sheya, December 16, 2009 12:03 AM

WOW, the Governor impressed me tonight (well, more than ever). She really knows her stuff. While everyone knows the miracle of Hanukkah “Though there was only enough consecrated oil for one day, the flame miraculously burned for eight”

But not many people know the significance of 8 days, why DID the oil burn for 8 days why not 7, 9 or 10.

The reason for that is because in the Temple in Jerusalem they used only pure virgin olive oil. Only the first drop of each olive. While it took them 1 day to pick fresh olives it took them 7 days to squeeze enough first drops to light up all the 7 lights of the Menorah. The miracle of 8 days gave them enough time to do so.

The Governor has her facts right: “the flame miraculously burned for eight – just long enough to prepare more”

There are many Jewish people who don’t even know that.

Nancy, December 16, 2009 12:03 AM

It would be great if you could have audio of Gore reading that "poem", while people stare at that sculpture.

defendAmerica, December 16, 2009 12:06 AM

Andrew, December 16, 2009 12:07 AM

You might even say Governor Palin is like gravity; you simply can't deny her impact.

defendAmerica, December 16, 2009 12:08 AM

You should teach the AP how to do that!!! They could save money on "fact checkers" and perhaps even have some accuracy!!

defendAmerica, December 16, 2009 12:10 AM

So right on!... Sarah's just multi-tasking... like Muhammad Ali... she "floats like a butterfly... stings like a bee", all the while tending to her chores.

I haven't had a chance to say what a lucky guy you are to have had the opportunity to work and travel with Sarah and to thank you for Sarah's video shout out to C4P while in Washington State over Thanksgiving.... must have been a thrill a minute... Funny how Kerry and the DNC are claiming that the GOP members of the House and Senate are obstructing them from being able to carry through and implement their Socialist agenda despite having a clear majority in both, and then in the same breath point out how they’re in danger of loosing their opportunity to make their so called positive changes. So in other words they are saying that they are so incompetent that even with a solid majority they are unable to get the job done and are afraid that their legislative ineptitude is going to see them thrown out of office, all while screaming that its not their fault because those dastardly Republicans keep obstructing them. No wonder they have such miserable approval, ratings then again they are Democrats so public whining about how unfair everything is, vilifying the opposition and asking for handouts is pretty much par for the course.

This is why Republicans MUST remain united against these monstrosities. The less radical Dems know that if no Republicans are willing to support something, then it will be unpopular in their home districts and states, unless they are from looneyville like Barney Frank or Chucky Schmucky Schumer. As long as not one Republican breaks ranks, then it is much more likely that a few Dems will peel away, and presto, no 60 vote filibuster proof majority on that bill.

O/T The phone rang at parents house last weekend. Mom was busy making cookies and dad on his cell with a client. He runs his own small limo business. It was an unlisted number so being curious I answered it. Jackpot!! It was someone from the Gingrich camp. They wanted to hit me up for $100.00 donation for a signed copy of a Newt book. Looks like he stole Sarahs idea. I already donated in November for her signed book. The lady on the line said he needs the money so he can do whats right for America bla bla bla. I told her Newt was an ok guy and I liked his Cantract with america back in the day but he pissed me off when he backed that liberal Republican Scozzafava. The woman took millions of dollars from the Republicans then turned on the party and backed the Democrats.
The lady on the phone then told me uh uh um well Mr. Gingrich did all he could in the last days to help Hoffman. Thats when I told her Sarah backed the right person from the start and that all my donatins go to SarahPAC. She was informed that Sarah and I share the same values and views for America and I trusted she will back candidates that have the best interest of the country at heart. With Newt its all political....with Sarah its a common sense thing.

Perhaps the DSCC should have reconsidered their offer to John and instead asked his wife Tereeeeza Heinz Kerry to give a free bottle of ketchup for every $5.00 donation.

A fundraising letter from John F. Kerry himself is worth less than a a soda can full of First Dude's used dip.

If you post on local tea party sites, spread the word that between Palin and the Tea Party Movement that you have the DSCC running scared. Feel free to link the DSCC document and them know the effect that they are having.

PatrickinOH, December 16, 2009 2:24 PM

speaking of which I have report I would like to make tonight or tomorrow, I went to a meeting On Monday night with an organization connected with the Dayton Tea Party called the Huber Heights Liberty Group (Huber Heights is a suburb of Dayton) The guy who was speaking confirmed that Sarah is the keynote speaker at the Tea Party Convention in Nashville Feb 4-6, I may be able to go, we talked a lot about Sarah and the current state of affairs in our country, plus he had a touching stroy to share about a personal experience with Sarah at a rally in Troy, Ohio in the 2008 election

riley4palin, December 16, 2009 2:34 PM

So let me get this straight.

When other potential candidates are being interviewed by the media, the questions always turn to Governor Palin.

Now the same thing is happening when other candidates are trying to sell books, make cold calls, or try to raise their money?

This doesn't bode too well for Mitten's book tour in March. If this is the going trend, then the NYT will be reporting that Going Rogue is still on the top of the Best Seller's list and Mitten's will hover around #579.

Whitney, December 16, 2009 2:51 PM

Sarah made the TIME Magazine people who mattered list!

If you thought Sarah Palin was just going to fade back into the Alaskan wilderness after she and John McCain lost the 2008 presidential election, then you don't know Sarah. America's favorite Rorschach political figure is still going rogue, whether quitting her job as governor — who needs a bully pulpit when there's Facebook? — or spending her hour on Oprah dissing the 19-year-old father of her grandson. Will she run in 2012? Does it matter? In a Republican Party looking to be energized, Palin is the one drawing the crowds (even if they have to pay for a photo with her). She's their moose-huntin', "you betcha"–spouting, partisan jabbing sweetheart. Seventy percent of Americans may think Palin is unqualified to be President, but 100% of Palin supporters don't care.

Whitney, December 16, 2009 3:14 PM

Of course this is mostly crap. She was gracious to Levi on Oprah, far more than he deserved. She didn't spend the whole hour dissing him. She actually would have rather not discussed him at all. What's the deal with the photograph thing? I don't know the fee for the picture that the photographer was taking at the book tour, but this format probably made it possible for the governor to meet a lot more people. If people used their own cameras, it would have taken more time. Plus, the fee for the photograph likely goes to pay the photographer not Sarah. She's not partisan; she's principled. If she was "partisan jabbing" she would be the darling of the GOP, but she isn't.

Yes, she is one of the people who mattered in 2009, but this description is slanted and misinformed to the core, not that it's unexpected.

PatrickinOH, December 16, 2009 3:16 PM

hmmm lots of snark in that write up but thats standard for TIME Magazine

PatrickinOH, December 16, 2009 3:19 PM

its by Amy Sullivan figures

narciso, December 16, 2009 3:29 PM

Time has so far departed from the vision of it's founder. Henry Luce, wouldn't have loved Sarah, he had a thing for strong confident women, willing to speak out in favor of America. His wife Clare Booth Luce had a way with words, describing the Democrat's international policies, she called them 'globaloney' and that raised some hackles in her day

PatrickinOH, December 16, 2009 3:33 PM

so if he had a thing for strong confident women willing to speak out in favor of America, why wouldn't he have loved Sarah?

riley4palin, December 16, 2009 3:37 PM

Whit, Richard Stengel (Obama butt boy) appears on Morning Joe every week believing in his heart that he is relevant to the political scene and shares with the viewers the Time Magazine person of the week.

I have to believe the White House was livid this morning when Obama did not take the trophy as Person of the Year.

TIME Magazine is right up there with NewsWEAK as the two most liberal and wasteful pieces of trash on the market today.

If all goes as planned, NewsWEAK will go bankrupt in 2010 with Time following suit.

As for the comments about Palin, are you really surprised?

We all know that Sarah Palin was the Person of the Year, but the elitist buffoons in the east part of the country would never allow that.

Who else changed the Health Care debate with two words early this summer?
Who else was able to step down from public office and become a NYT Best Seller in the same year?
Who else in the country today has sold 1 million books in less than one month?
Who else drives cable ratings through the roof when she makes an appearance?
Who else can get someone to donate 60K+ to have dinner with her and her family?
Who else can put a red jacket up for bid for charity and get bids for over 30K and counting?
Who else can put the Terminator in his place?
Who else can put AlGore in his place?
Who else can put the LSM in their place?
Who else can get politicians from both parties to fall over and make amendments with a Facebook post?

And most importantly, who else has the guts to take on the President of the United States when she questions his policy decisions?

GOVERNOR SARAH PALIN IS BY FAR THE PERSON OF THE YEAR (Time Magazine....go pound sand).

cookboy, December 16, 2009 3:39 PM

narciso, December 16, 2009 3:41 PM

That was a typo Patrick, you should have been able to tell from the context

PatrickinOH, December 16, 2009 3:44 PM

Excellent points riley4palin, but I prefer to call NewsWeek, NewSpeak, and who cares who TIME makes their person of the year, its irrelevant, TIME is stilll around because a lot of Doctor's offices put it in their waiting rooms, To all the people in America who believe in the founding ideals of this country, Sarah Palin is thier Person of the Year and that is all that matters

PatrickinOH, December 16, 2009 3:48 PM

I had a feeling it was I just wanted to call your attention to the error

Whitney, December 16, 2009 3:50 PM

Excellent takedown, Riley! I was not surprised at all, but these kind of things still frustrate me, even though I'm used to them at this point.

We've heard of PDS which is evident in pieces like this. However, specifically aimed at women who write these kind of snarky pieces, I have a new psychological condition to apply, Palin envy.

PatrickinOH, December 16, 2009 3:52 PM

cnn has a writeup on ahhnold vs. Sarah this comment interested me the most because it was the most reasonable of the people who didn't like Sarah, which is 99% of the commenters at cnn:

have no use for the policies of Sarah Palin ..... except this one. I too believe that Global warming exists but do not feel it is the result of mans activities but rather a continuing natural phenomenon from the previous ice age. The Cap and Trade legislation would have a very negative impact on our financial recovery and will have very little impact on our carbon impact. Please study Germany and the results of their Cap and Trade before assuming its benefits. My opinion is that CLEAN COAL Plants are the answer to our polution problem.

One step at a time she is conivincing people who in some cases didn't like her, the more they discover her positions on the issues the more Sarah will grow on them

PatrickinOH, December 16, 2009 4:03 PM

heres another one that smacked down all the PDS:

Ah yes, America's most hated woman. Most hated, that is, by the radical Left, who tolerate no dissent, who cannot accept criticism and who are adamant about getting their way regardless of the consequences. Palin is so disliked by the Left because she represents their worst fears; an attractive, likable potential opposition candidate who makes sense on a lot of issues and who hurls well targeted challenges at the Left's most dearly held tenets and dogmas. Worst of all, she is more experienced and qualified than the man the radical Left ramrodded into the oval office. The more visibility Palin gets and the more Obama fumbles, the more evident this becomes. Lacking facts and sound arguments, the Left has traditionally relied on ridicule, insult, misdirection and bullying as its tools of the trade. So there's nothing new here folks, please move along.

This should be delicious:

BOR will have body language expert Tonyasomethingorother on tonight to discuss First Lady Michelle Obama's win as Bab's Most Fascinating Person of the Year.

Will Miss Body Language expert be honest with her assessment? Will she see what most people outside of NY and Washington DC see about the Mrs?

Didn't Sarah give an acknowlegement in her book to Airline Waitresses? Dems seem to have a totally different view of common working americans. The way I see it and with Gilibrand acting like nothing big happen I guess Schumer is just speaking for the Party.

Why is it the White House was the last to know that Tony, Silvio, Paulie, Christopher and the unions would be calling in their markers before Christmas after the public option was eliminated?

Merry Christmas Barack. Can I get you another cigarette and a truckload of Depends under the White House "Holiday" Tree?

I do not understand this story really. I can read McCain cleary in those pictures so she did not cross it out or anything? Good their family has been through alot. They deserve some relaxing time. Love that Trig.

FredHeadBill, December 16, 2009 4:53 PM

Has anyone noticed the harder they try to discredit Governor Palin the worst their fate. Wonder how much Obambi drops today?

PEC, December 16, 2009 4:58 PM

The picture of her kissing Trig is great. She is very smart in public or close to public to wear a bathing suit. Sorry I would not hold it against her but the left would. Heck they attacked her for not staying in Alaska.

cookboy, December 16, 2009 4:58 PM

Do ya ever start to comment and realize that it just ain't printable?

Nancy, December 16, 2009 5:00 PM

Finally, she makes it to the 57th state!

bassman, December 16, 2009 5:01 PM

I made the same donation using the the link from her email.

Whitney, December 16, 2009 5:03 PM

Isn't it like her to wear a patriotic t-shirt, even if it is 5 sizes too big for her? You're right, PEC, she is definitely smart not to wear a swimsuit. The Left and the LSM would have a field day with that.

Nancy, December 16, 2009 5:05 PM

I know she went to school in Hawaii, I was making a joke about The Once's mistake.

I guess I'm a little gunshy, taking the time explaining my stupid jokes, because my daughter told me today, that she doesn't understand alot of my jokes.:)

PatrickinOH, December 16, 2009 5:20 PM

I'm glad shes getting some sun in in the 57th state, no one deserves it more than her and her family, yeah I agree its smart for her not to wear a swimsuit because the left would have a field day with it, but this begs the question when did the left become a bunch of prudes?

riley4palin, December 16, 2009 5:22 PM

ALL THE TIME. I actually find myself hitting the "backspace" quite often, but I do let some slip through just to keep the editors on their toes. :)

Nancy, December 16, 2009 5:27 PM

LOL! Thank you, Riley!:)
When she said that, it rocked the little world that I live in.

PatrickinOH, December 16, 2009 5:32 PM

OT: Glenn Beck is going to talk about Obama threatining to shut down Offut AFB in Nebraska if Sen Ben Nelson doesn't vote for the healthcare bill

Nancy, December 16, 2009 5:38 PM

Now for a Twilight Zone perspective on that big shirt she is wearing:
Is she wearing that oversized t-shirt to cover up all the weight she has gained?

Forget for a minute: Governor Palin frenetically, going from one end of the country to the other, making speeches, tv appearances, shaking hands, signing books, kicking butts and nuts with Facebook posts, and turning her image around from the East Coast to the Left Coast?

Isn't her gaining weight, really the only logical conclusion a freakazoid looney tunes would come to, for her wearing that shirt?

They already said she LOST too much weight, so...........there ya go!

cookboy, December 16, 2009 5:41 PM

Emily, I hope you never come to know what I suspect is the vast chasm that separates your idea of unprintable from mine.

riley4palin, December 16, 2009 5:47 PM

Seeing the photographs from Hawaii with the Palin family today made me think of the stark differences between Governor Palin and the POTUS

GOVERNOR PALIN OBAMA

Wears Patriotic T shirt Gets photographed shirtless to give LSM a treat

Plays in the sand with Piper Obama makes 6 ft high Sandcastle of himself

Gets photographed with Blackberry Gets photographed playing golf with buddies
taking down the Terminator on Facebook and misses another putt

DefCon66, December 16, 2009 5:47 PM

Tonya Ryman is a fraud, she takes things that are subjective and claims it's a science when there's no data to back her up and she's contradicted herself more than once on what some facial expression is to suit her.

PatrickinOH, December 16, 2009 5:54 PM

of course Nancy didn't you realize that Sarah would gain weight because she is utterly depressed? How else do you explain her hair thinning out? pretty soon they'll be calling her the Bald Arctic Fox

manajordan, December 16, 2009 5:54 PM

So, I checked out that TMZ article and I couldn't stop laughing. Their made up controversy is that she took a marker to her hat to black out McCain's name? If that was her intent she missed. Most of the comments there are nuttier than squirrel poo.
I am glad she is taking some time off to relax.

terri, December 16, 2009 5:55 PM

WHOA>>>

No photos of Todd??? DANG!
Cruela's gonna be upset....very upset! lol

Nancy, December 16, 2009 5:55 PM

I loved in that TMZ piece it said: and her opposite sex husband, Todd.

I know for the longest time I have been confused about which sex Governor Palin's mate was?

riley4palin, December 16, 2009 5:57 PM

Nancy, you may be on to something there. Perhaps all of the "tips" that Steve Schmidt gave the Governor about seeing a nutrionist last year went to her head and she starting eating Twinkies, Cupcakes, and Ice Cream Sammies to limit the stress for the last month on the book tour.

Hopefully Nicole Wallace is close by and can fly over to Hawaii ASAP and bring her a 10K Black Dress that will cover up the rolls and cottage cheese thighs.

terri, December 16, 2009 5:57 PM

OH YEA...OH YEA,

Doing the happy dance...:-)

Anonymous, December 16, 2009 5:57 PM

I'm actually surprise that there are lots of positive comments in there, some actually defending her!

section9, December 16, 2009 5:57 PM

Palin may have simply scratched out the "McCain" sign in the visor to go more incommunicado on the beach, but when others take a photo of her, it looks like a gratuitous slap at the guy who picked her for VP. I don't actually think she's sending some signal that she's about to endorse J.D. Hayworth or something like that: she actually praised John to the skies in her book. I think she just wanted to look anonymous on the beach and a McCain visor would have stood out. Her people need to communicate to JMC's people that no slam was intended.

Not the smartest thing she's done, imho. Movement conservatives may like it, but McCain and his people don't, and I suspect that somewhere down along the line, she'll need him.

narciso, December 16, 2009 5:58 PM

Lol. Nancy, the folks at TMZ are pretty worthless, so Linda Chatman, like a blind squirrel, is right on occasion, here's a dollar like the Duke Bros.

terri, December 16, 2009 5:58 PM

Wearing an XXX-large t-shirt cuz....
"I'm 45 and have had 5 kids...don't want to get more specific than that!"

PatrickinOH, December 16, 2009 5:59 PM

I noticed that too Nancy and they said she was shilling her book and called her the failed vice presidential candidate, this was the absolute first time I ever looked at that site, but I have heard HArvy Levin the founder of TMZ is gay, I think he went after Carrie Prejean pretty heavily too because of her answer at the Miss USA pageant

Anonymous, December 16, 2009 6:00 PM

man she's frugal!haha

manajordan, December 16, 2009 6:03 PM

She didn't scratch out anything or take a marker to anything, the symbol on the visor was a common one during the campaign, a play on the Arizona state flag.

riley4palin, December 16, 2009 6:03 PM

In other news, Barney Franks was seen frolicking on the same beach as the Palins with his same sex husband sipping Pina Colatas.

terri, December 16, 2009 6:03 PM

^^^haha...I was just thinking that.
Man she's just made a bunch of money off her book...ya think she could have bought a new visor....ya know something real touristy that has Hawaii written all over it or something... lol

Anonymous, December 16, 2009 6:04 PM

I just don't buy her story about the big wig the guv wore as a disguise.

Nancy, December 16, 2009 6:04 PM

TMZ just missed snapping a picture of Governor Palin and Bigfoot dancing on the beach, and no music was playing!

And they thought the visor was a scandal!

terri, December 16, 2009 6:05 PM

narc,
Then I would love to seen her in the supposed "balck wig". ;-)

Andrew, December 16, 2009 6:09 PM

For all you squealing ladies, the first photo in the gallery is of shirtless Todd from behind.

And I find it funny--went to see what liberals are saying about the photo and the first comment I come across is "I thought Asians made her uncomfortable. WTF is she doing in HI then?"

They actually fall for their own lies.

Beehive, December 16, 2009 6:09 PM

manajordan

What?! Nuttier than what?

You have been influenced by Mia, Whitney and Nancy. They have been a bad bad influence.

Save yourself.

PatrickinOH, December 16, 2009 6:10 PM

I can see it now here is Andrew Sullivan's report on yet another Sarah Palin scanda:

Why did Sarah ink out McCain's name on that visor hat she was wearing. Because she is a good liar of course, she said in her book (I can't believe I am actually saying Sarah Palin and book in the same sentence she is such an idiot) she respected John McCain immensly and that she thanked him for his service. All lies! Maybe this is a signal to McCain that she wants to "darken out" the real McCain because maybe he found some incriminating evidence about a certain pregnancy. If that is the case, then John McCain should require extra security she might come in a helicoptor and shoot him like the many wolves she has shot in Alaska. As to the oversized shirt, she is obviously hiding evidence of her massive weight gain from her postpartum depression. But I assure my readers I am absolutely not obsessed with Sarah Palin or her uterus (her very evil uterus) I am just asking questions, I am not a Trig Truther in any way.

Nancy, December 16, 2009 6:12 PM

"failed", that's a word that has become funny to me.:) Almost a punchline.
Kinda like the word "One".
Or, "wee-weed"
Also, "loon"
"Hu's"
"irrelevant"

These are all words that have new meanings in The Age of The Once.

section9, December 16, 2009 6:12 PM

Sure look marked out to me.

PatrickinOH, December 16, 2009 6:12 PM

and he was wearing a thong right?

PatrickinOH, December 16, 2009 6:14 PM

oh but didn't you know she had to wear a wig to cover up her massive hair loss because she is a depressed basket case

DefCon66, December 16, 2009 6:14 PM

I made the mistake of reading those vile comments and it just affirms my hatred of the liberal loons. If it didnt effect us all I'd say they deserved what Barry wants to do to them.

section9, December 16, 2009 6:15 PM

That said, it's not like Sarah needs to be ashamed of her figure. She's a knockout. It may be, however, that she's got such light Alaskan skin that if she did the bikini thing she'd sunburn in a heartbeat.

Anonymous, December 16, 2009 6:21 PM

doesn't make sense, she wore a big black wig to go incognito but let trig, piper & todd roam around the airport without disguise??

terri, December 16, 2009 6:22 PM

AND......To cover up her "scars" from her plastic surgery don't cha know.

manajordan, December 16, 2009 6:23 PM

I should have started my reply with "I think" as I don't know for sure. I just think if her intent was to mark it out she would have actually marked it out, not have it still so obviously say McCain.
But, you could be right.

DefCon66, December 16, 2009 6:24 PM

So far as keeping a campaign visor when she's quite wealthy now is why toss it when it's still intact and wearable? We know from her book that she was raised to be frugal and says as much in clipping coupons and so on. So IMO that's Sarah, she doesnt believe in waste (including taxpayers money) and nor do I. Love that gal, I want one just like her. *sigh*

PatrickinOH, December 16, 2009 6:26 PM

me too DefCon66...me too

Whitney, December 16, 2009 6:27 PM

Who knows? The photos all could have been photoshopped by TMZ to cause a stir.

Nancy, December 16, 2009 6:29 PM

sorry it actually says: opposite sex spouse.

PatrickinOH, December 16, 2009 6:30 PM

I don't think its that remember she bought a tanning machine and put it in the governor's mansion (tanningbedgate) I suspect during the winter months when it is dark they use the tanning bed as a lightbox, I think she has a great figure but I think she is modest as well, I respect that, wonder how Frum will be able to say shes sending out sexual signals now?

terri, December 16, 2009 6:31 PM

Oh gosh section...there is no way in HE** she was gonna go out to the beach in a bathing suit. Maybe in a more private setting.
Can you just imagine?!?!?! The media would have had a field day with it, whether she looks gorgeous or....not so gorgeous.

Plus alot of moms dress that way at the beach...including this army mom. ;-)
We moms usually have things that need "covering up".
Like Sarah said in her interview with Baba....."I'm 45 and have had 5 kids...we won't get any more specific than that!"
I sure sympathize with her on that one!

Nancy, December 16, 2009 6:32 PM

By the way......um, that was a joke.:)

DefCon66, December 16, 2009 6:34 PM

And about her covering up with the t-shirt, you know the perv tabloids like TMZ and even the LSM would headline with the pics if she had been wearing her bathing suit for all to see and maybe even photoshopped it to demean or exagerate her propotions. I dont put anything past these lower forms of life called liberals.

terri, December 16, 2009 6:36 PM

Plus unlike our current president who loves to frolic on the beach in his swimming trunks for a photo op....I'm sure Sarah thinks that that's not very presidential.
When contemplating running for the highest office in the land...a little humility is always best.

juju, December 16, 2009 6:37 PM

Purple thong. Right??

lonestar, December 16, 2009 6:38 PM

Yeah, she left the AF Base in Alaska Sunday evening, had the surgery Monday evening and decided to go out in the sun the very next day!
Does the media now report spouses as being of the same sex or opposite sex? Is this the normal or only because Harvey Levin is gay?

juju, December 16, 2009 6:39 PM

One of the kids could have done it when they wanted to wear it. No big deal...except to those that hate Sarah. If she wore a McCain hat everyone would say she was advertising herself and campaigning. ...Let's face it...it is a no win for her on these petty things.

DefCon66, December 16, 2009 6:42 PM

I used tanning beds alot when I lived in AK and I can tell you first hand, unless your into the submariner complexion you use them up there.

Paddy Hugh of Oz, December 16, 2009 6:44 PM

HEH!!

That was my favourite line too..pure gold.

I find myself saying everytime I say something clever or triumphant to someone.... :)

I think C4P should adopt this as a regular slogan. The irony...nobody would know it was Captain Kirk's. Sarah's made it famous!

.

Emily (Jane Austen), December 16, 2009 6:45 PM

OT, but I just want to say a prayer for Cruela. You see C4P, I do know what it is like, because...

well, should I say this?

I tried sucide. Twice. In middle school.

Life is too precious, I tell everyone this now. Do not EVER do what I did. I was a mess and I didn't trust God at all. God loves all of us very much. I know this now. :)

terri, December 16, 2009 6:46 PM

Defconn,

I kind of agree with TMZ....I think there's more to it than just being "frugal". Making some sort of statement of inside joke...who knows.
Come-on...it's a visor. She could have brought a ball cap or any other kind of head gear, but no...she brought that particular one. Hmmmmm.

I kind of think this trip was a last minute thing, otherwise Sarah would have brought more of her family with her.
Come on...it IS Hawaii...I've never been. I'm sure the other kids would have loved to been able to go.
Willow isn't there...I would assume due to basketball commitments that she probably couldn't get out of. Who knows what Bristol and the baby are up to these days....again probably too short notice to make arrangements.

But, like I just said.....It's only a visor for pete's sake! urrrgggh

Paddy Hugh of Oz, December 16, 2009 6:49 PM

He is. But I kinda miss the old days.

It's pretty much like the same thing she wore in Miami, almost a year ago, the visor's label shows even clearer so I don't think she meant anything by it.

DefCon66, December 16, 2009 6:54 PM

Perhaps your right Terri but we are speculating just as TMZ is and we do know it's in her character to be frugal and just wear it because it's still servicable. Just my opinion.

Nancy, December 16, 2009 6:54 PM

Emily, our precious, Emily!
Because of C4P you have touched people all over the world!
God knew His plans for you, I am so thankful you are here to fulfill God's special plan for your life.
You are a blessing to me, and I am sure to Cruela as well!
God bless you!

And Cruela, you are in my prayers.

cookboy, December 16, 2009 6:54 PM

I'm glad ya didn't make it!

terri, December 16, 2009 6:58 PM

Emily...

We have all made mistakes in our lives, hopefully we all learn from them.
Unfortunately, suicide is becoming more common with teenagers. you guys have to grow up waaayy too fast.
Not like when I was your age...things as they say, were more simpler then. The rules and the right/wrongs of the world were much more clearer back then.
Now, as they say "anything goes" and right/wrong and morals all get blurred and causes much confusion for young people.
Sounds like finding GOD's peace and following HIS guidance has been a blessing for you. Emily, we all need that.

You know it's doesn't really matter how you got there, as long as you get there.

KeeleyH, December 16, 2009 6:58 PM

I think she just wanted to be anonymous on the beach, the bright McCain logo would have drawn obvious attention. Frankly, I think John McCain would find it funny. He has a sense of humor. Sarah and John keep in touch regularly and they are still good friends. No one has to explain anything to anyone.

Whitney, December 16, 2009 6:58 PM

I concur with Nancy!

Paddy Hugh of Oz, December 16, 2009 7:00 PM

Heh!!

Just like the hit-piece on Palin over at our friends' place, The Peoples Cube,
http://www.thepeoplescube.com/red/viewtopic.php?t=4396
written by an anonymous liberal, possibly inspired by Sullivan:

There is no "fascination" with the Moose Mama

What fascination? I have no idea why we, the American elite, are accused of having some sort of deep-seated fear of a woman who we all agree is incapable of reading, writing and forming a coherent thought. This woman poses absolutely no threat whatsoever to our future and the bright future the Obama administration is creating. Sarah Palin has absolutely nothing to offer but more of the same and this idea of "fascination" is just silly. Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin. Honestly, I certainly do not sit around wondering what Sarah Palin is up to or what nefarious schemes she is hatching with a gaggle of top GOP operatives. No, I don't lie in bed every night, unable to sleep, pondering how she plans on destroying the Democratic majority and usurping the crown majestical from President-for-life Obama. No, I do not think such thought. I do not worry about such issues. Sarah Palin is the last thing I think about, speak about or end each and every paragraph with. Sarah Palin has no sway on me or others. We are free of Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin.Sarah Palin.

Says it all, really!

KeeleyH, December 16, 2009 7:01 PM

The fact that she wore the McCain visor at all showed that she still respect him a lot. If not, she could have just bought another visor. It's not like she can't afford a new one. Duh...

Anonymous, December 16, 2009 7:03 PM

i know we all worry about someone saying something bad about palin in the media but really i don't think we need to spend too much time focusing on the visor- it is just a visor

I try to tell everyone I know about it because I feel teen suicide needs to be addressed and tell kids that death is not the answer. I tried it because of the four girls who bullied me constantly and I felt like my life was out of control. God and I weren't close at all. I even wore black for some time until my mom figured out why.
God and I are better now.
I also contenplated suicide freshmen year but I never did it because I realized that Jesus wasn't #1 in my life and He needed to be.
I'm not a strong Christian- far from it. I'm still in baby stages. But I'm so glad that y'all are here. I find it ironic that I have more adult-friends than kids my age. I have no idea why, but still. I'm still here and I plan to be here for a very long time. :)

Okay guys, I think no one has been watching C4P since mid-morning.
We are running wild all over this thread, and no contributor has come along to put up an Open Thread.
A shift change perhaps, and someone didn't show up?
We have finally driven them away?
They are all in the back, drinking?
Could they all be in Hawaii with the Palin family?

What gives?
I'm a little bit frightened.
Mommy.
