Sarah Palin: Laura Ingraham’s Auction to Benefit Our Military; Update: Audio of Governor Palin on the Laura Ingraham Show
Via Facebook:
It’s a privilege to participate in the auction Laura Ingraham is organizing to help our men and women in uniform. Laura asked if I would donate the jacket I wore on the cover of my book, “Going Rogue.” I can’t think of a better cause, and it’s especially fitting because the book is dedicated to patriots and in particular to our women and men in uniform.
All the proceeds from the auction go to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project and The Fisher House (please click the links for more information about these wonderful organizations).
Our military and their families sacrifice so much to protect us. That sacrifice was so evident at our visit to the Walter Reed Hospital on Sunday. It was deeply moving and inspirational to hear our recovering troops’ stories and to see their patriotism reflected so vividly in their willingness to serve a cause greater than themselves.
Please join Laura in helping these brave and selfless Americans and their families. You can participate in the auction by visiting Laura’s website here.

Update: Governor Palin was on the Laura Ingraham Show today to discuss the auction, and her recent op-ed in the Washington Post. Take a listen:
Update II: Press Release from the Wounded Warrior Project:
Wounded Warrior Project, a nonprofit, apolitical organization whose mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors, will receive proceeds from the auction of the now famous red jacket Governor Sarah Palin is wearing on the cover of her new book "Going Rogue." The jacket will be auctioned off through the Laura Ingraham show and website. Proceeds will also benefit The Fisher House.
Steven Nardizzi, executive director of Wounded Warrior Project stated, "Wounded Warrior Project was born out of, and continues to be sustained by, the spirit of compassion -- one wounded warrior helping another. We are thankful for that same compassionate spirit shared by Governor Palin and Laura Ingraham and for their generosity in making this gift possible."
Wounded Warrior Project provides programs and services to assist injured veterans during their recovery, rehabilitation and transition. Whether through combat stress programs, career counseling or advocacy initiatives, Wounded Warrior Project's vision is to help make this generation of wounded warriors the most successful and well-adjusted in our nation's history.
"It's a privilege to participate in the auction Laura Ingraham is organizing to help our men and women in uniform," said Governor Palin. "Laura asked if I would donate the jacket I wore on the cover of my book, "Going Rogue." I can't think of a better cause, and it's especially fitting because the book is dedicated to patriots and in particular to our women and men in uniform."
The auction begins today and will end on December 18, 2009 at 8:00am. The jacket for auction is a one-of-a-kind item. The winner of the jacket will also receive a copy of the book. Please visit: https://www.lauraingraham.com/auction?productID=22794.
"As the mother of a warrior herself we know that Governor Palin understands the sacrifices our service members and their families willingly make on our nation's behalf," Nardizzi said. "We are very happy to have her support in carrying out our vital mission."
Update III: Laura Ingraham discussed the auction on the O'Reilly Factor tonight:

Sarah really likes Laura ingraham and by herself has swayed Laura into her camp. I recalled some reticence on the part of Laura to Sarah because of her support of Romney, but I think now she has been won over.
Sarah in the GR dedication and just know on the Laura Ingrahm show refers to our "women and men in uniform" whereas the convention is to say "men and women in uniform".
- what's up with THAT ???
do I have to put /sarc ?
I noticed that too. She is even going rogue with her syntax!
She said wee weed up! She must read the comments on here.
Me too, although I never thought Laura was a Rombot. She just despised McCain.
I'm glad they've buddied up. I knew that jacket would do it! As far as I'm concerned, with Laura on board, Sarah's got a Royal Flush. All the key players are with her and the Conservative Movement's hers. Laura, Rush, Levin and Hannity Hannity (thought I'd be redundant in his honor) are the important ones imo.
I'm listening to the Laura clip now. This auction is truly a great cause. I hope it brings millions. Maybe Rush and Hannity will get into a bidding war to drive the price up. Rush auctioned off Harry Reid's official Senate Letter to Rush's syndication partner to try and intimidate him, and it brought $1.2 million, Rush matched that and donated the total of $2.4 million to the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation, which takes care of the kids of Marines and Police killed in the line of duty. Plus, it was turned into a PR disaster for the Dingy One, who tried to take some credit for the big donation after the fact. What a weasel.
"Ignoring facts, data, kinda like ignoring gravity."
Smack! lol
Does she have a cold? She sounds a bit hoarse but I like the timbre of her voice in this interview.
wee-weed up! lol
^^^come on now....she is THE most fascinating person this year ya know. well...accourding to Baba Walters anyway...s/
So, according to the USA Today link, she liked the Nobel speech, because it did overall say the right things. It was better than I expected, and frankly closer to what I hoped.
Sarah has quoted Laura more than once. It was only a matter of time till Sarah won her over,
Besides....when it comes to Sarah you can only hold out for sooo long. lol
She stopped short of agreeing to debate ALGore, but turned on him by guessing he would not lower himself to debating little old Sarah Palin from Wasilla. Good move. If he responds that he would debate her, then she can call his bluff. If not, then her jab at him being too uppity rings true. She wins both ways.
Haha^^^^. Just who was it that came up with that anyway????
I think Laura is on the right track here....
A debate between Sarah and Algor for charity.
Dig it!!!!
Narc,
I think that Sarah will give Obama kudos whenever he shows support to our troops, no matter how small or disingenuous it is.
Man..can you just imagine the ratings for that...my goodness.
Obama said it about how the press got when she was announced as VP. Late August or early September is when the press gets wee-weed up.
This is off topic, but while browsing through Newsbusters, I was struck by how many Palin stories are there, and how many times those guys at MRC have defended Sarah against these media idiots. They ALWAYS get her back whenever the attacks come, whether on the BigThree broadcasts, cable news, entertainment programs, or newspapers.
I think Sarah should consider attending the MRC Annual Awards Gala in the DC area this year.
She would have a really good time there, and as a feature appearance would be a smash hit.
The whole event is about thrashing the media for their bias, and presenting awards to them for it. Naturally, none of the winners are there, so they have prominent conservatives accept the awards for the liberals. It is usually pretty funny, with figures like Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin working the podium. Sarah would have a blast, and the crowd would love her comments. She could accept an award for Katie Couric. Poetic justice!
Just a thought, if a certain gal from Wasilla happens to read this thread :)
I met Laura Ingraham last September in Dayton, she was outspoken in her support of Sarah, got my book signed by her I told her I always look forward to when she substituted for BOR, she is nice and very beautiful
Where did Sarah place on the list? I can't bring myself to watch that hag, so I rely on the internet to bring me the rare moments of interest.
Agreed!
Sarah would mop the floor with him. He is so aloof and snooty, she would have him embarrassed real quick. It would be cool to see it happen, but I thibk she is right. He won't "lower himself to her level", as she said. If he takes the bait though, she needs to yank the line hard and hook him. Alinsky rules say "make the enemy live up to their own rules".
Chrissy Matthews attacking Sarah's signature: http://hotair.com/headlines/?p=63112
Laura already is a "common sense conservative". It's a natural fit, those two.
great comment at hot air:
Matthews hates and loves Sarah Palin, as he hates and loves himself. He will never be free of her.
Ozwitch on December 10, 2009 at 3:09 PM
Chrissy Matthews=Gollum LMAO
looked sorry
I know this is "old news", but this video of Sarah at the Mall of America is pretty cool.
The number of people there looks incredible.

Well, Hannity's not that important to me. Despite his rhetoric, he's a Repub first.
How else can he justify having Nicole Wallace on days after Sarah's interview and NOT ASK her about Sarah? That's lazy, cowardly journalism. IMO. He didn't ask Sarah about Nicole either.
another great comment on hot air from our own Kathy Carpenter!:
“She doesn`t write the book, and then she scribbles some indecipherable sign on the book as a signature.”
Dang I knew it! I thought I saw a woman that looked just like Chrissy at the book signing I was at. “She” even called herself Chrissy. Clearly the wig was fake and the 5 o’clock shadow should have been a dead giveaway. “She” kept trying to hide her face. “She” was really upset because Palin signed her name in cursive instead of block print so “she” could read it.
I guess this proves my theory, Chrissy is secretly in love with Palin, but he or she does not want his 3 followers to know. Why else would he or she stand in line for that long for a signature?
kcarpenter on December 10, 2009 at 3:20 PM
Yea,
That's what Laura said too, that he would never agree to a debate with her.

Also says story in paper edition tomorrow ...
It needs to be in front of a live audience. Not on a Sunday or any other political show.
The people in the audience will respond to her and not to Gore. She will feed off them. Even the hostile ones will just make her more competitive. I bet the audience would mellow as the debate went on and Al squirmed. :)
OT: look at the Fairbanks News Miner headline in the left sidebar of C4P. Parnell may adjust ACES.
Then read the article. Juneau Democrat Beth Kertulla stands up for it. :)
my precioussssssssss..............
Okay, which one of you is the high bidder right now?
its me ;)
Agree, hrh. I don't get all the Hannity love. I turn him off when he comes on. To me, he's just boring and never gets deep into the issues. He's very much a surface-kind-of-a-guy, especially when he "debates" someone. I've really tried to give him a shot, but my eyes glaze over when he starts on the same old talking points. I do watch him when he has Sarah on, though. :)
And Bob Beckel every Monday, sometimes more. He knows about Beckel and hookers and his paying them with bad checks! What a democrat.
Patrick - you seem fully qualified to add a verse to The Chrissy Song.
But really read the article. All she says is "I like what he said" and then she talks about her approach to war and then heaps praise on George Bush's approach to terrorism and war. That cracks me up! The headline is all about Obama, but the text is all about her and George Bush.
Rosie O'Donnell might bid on it. Even though she is far out there, she donates large sums to military families. She gave 1 million dollars to the Fisher House in SA to help build it.
He can put evil CO2 in his lockbox!
When thinking about this debate...I see O'Gordo...Sweating Profusely...
How's that for Climate Change... O'Gordo????...
I would be honored to CharterOakie :), I will need some time to think up a verse and I need to see the Chrissy Song so far
Not a shocker:
House Democrats in a full reactionary mode against Sarah due to her Washington Post's op-ed on Climategate.
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1209/30464.html (Sarah Palin, Dem greens' grinch). Also, not a suprise, POLITICO's title of the article is disingenuous.
I am struck by all these people saying that carbon dioxide emissions are warming the earth, earth Al Gore and his worshippers, when you exhale you are emitting carbon dioxide, when you talk about CO2 emissions you are emitting carbon dioxide!, you need to stop breathing if you want to stop carbon emissions
women who got book signed in billings MT, talking about negative comments on local newspaper on Hannity right now
name is Jenny
Come to think of it, could we just put the goracle in a lockbox?
Hehe. Yes, not a shocker, but they obviously haven't read her op-ed. She never denies climate change; she just doesn't attribute it to humans. No surprise, the Dems can't seem find to read the bills they write. Why would they have time to read her op ed?
I love how Sarah put the smackdown on Fat Al. LMAO

<span><span>Home to Alaska</span> Today at 11:53amThis book tour has been an amazing and inspirational experience for me and my family as we crisscrossed the country and met so many wonderful Americans. At nearly every stop we met someone with a connection to Alaska – usually through the military from being stationed at one of Alaska’s bases. With that in mind, we’ve decided to hold the final book signings at Alaska's Elmendorf and Eielson AFBs. Hope to see you there!

I WOULD LOVE THAT! Great idea Brian!
This is what they do. Claim you are arguing for something you never said, to obscure your points and give them a strawman to attack. This is nothing new for Sarah Palin. There are still people claiming she believes the Earth is 6,000 years old and dinosaurs are a Satanic plot to undermine the Bible. Sarah never said anything of the sort, and her Dad is a science teacher for crying out loud! Doesn't matter, some libs keep saying this as if they heard ot from her instead of Matt Damon and Tina Fey.
I see they're all reading from the same playbook - again! "Decades-old emails", "read a book, Sarah", "birther Sarah", blah, blah, blah. It's going to be such a blast next November to watch these fools and corrupt, amoral leeches all standing before their sparse crowd of supporters reciting a concession speech. Oh what a night that will be. :)
Lol-He's the slow student. If he doesn't have a good guest on, off the radio goes. I meant in terms of numbers. He's got the 2nd biggest radio audience (somehow) I believe.
To his credit, he's been very supportive of Sarah and says he's a conservative not a Repub. I agree though hrh. She gave him the 1st cable interview. What's Nicole Wallace doing on his show?! Rush, Laura and Levin are in a different league imo.
I may be wrong, but isn't Laura the only one she's given 2 radio interviews to now? Not bad. They've bonded! I always thought Ingraham should be her default show whenever she has something to say--even after the book tour.
Have you seen anyone using the term "wee weed up" since then? The way it just rolled off her tongue makes me think she frequents the comment section here, haha!
Closed to public. Base pass only. Maybe.
Sarah you would wipe the floor with the Gore guy. You are the best, stay true, stay yourself and I can't wait to vote for you in 2012!!!!! Have a very Merry Blessed Christmas and I am wishing all the best for you and your family in the New Year!!!
That apparently is the tone when she isn't rushed. Her voice was much like this on the Barbra interview. I like it much better also. Gives her a more professional/authoritative voice.
House Democrats in full reactionary mode to Palin's Op-Ed?
So let me get this straight. For the last 11 months Nancy Pelosi's minions have been busy trying to take over Health Care because these morons believe they know more about a person's health than their own doctor. We have a Dem President, and Dem majorities in both the House and Senate and they still cannot get a bill passed and its mid December. So what you are telling me now is Politico went about today and got some House Dems on record to bitch and moan about Governor Palin about her Op-Ed on Climate change. Wouldn't you think these people would be more worried about each other and wonder amongst themselves why they cannot get a Health Care Bill passed (knowing noone can stop the train)? And we actually PAY these people to do a job?
This only leads me to the following conclusion:
The House Democrats honestly believe Governor Palin's words carry more weight than the President of the United States and needed to take time out from their busy schedules to go on the record with a private citizen.
I hope Politico gets some Obama senior advisors on record tonight to dispel this silly rumor.
Sarah is baiting Gore to debate her. He will come up with 50 excuses not to debate her.
aw...it's all over. makes me a little sad. She sure had a hell of a tour though!
Ok CharterOakie I have a preliminary verse for the Chrissy Matthews song I think it needs some work and I should add more to it here goes:
As Chrissy tries so hard to bring Sarah down
He only makes himself look like a clown
Matthews who so hates Palin
can't help but watch enviously as Obama starts failin'
He hates her signature so much
Oh my, he is so out of touch
OT:
My comment to the Gov IF I could have gone to a 'signing'...Thank you for speaking-up for America; stay true to your relationship with Christ. We are praying for you.
To Todd: I have great respect and admiration for you and I give YOU credit the Sarah's continual smile.
I actually do have a base pass but its way too far for me
She'll be back. 2010's just around the corner and she has a ton of campaigning to do.
Palin signs Bachmann's copy of Going Rogue "Michele, we love you"
I think we can say without a doubt that this book tour was a huge success! I kinda wish it could go on longer, but obviously she has to rest her hand and voice:)
I hope she has a great Christmas! and comes back strong next year!

And so it comes....to say Good Bye....but just for a short while....
After last book signing, Governor Palin agrees to dress up like "Maverick" from Top Gun in full flight gear and salutes the crowd. Palin boards jet. Fighter jet leaves Alaska for a quick "buzzing" of the White House to wish Obama well for a few weeks while she stays far away from the Lower 48.
**Breaking news on all cable channels late Sunday night. Governor Palin seen in fighter jet doing fly-by of White House.
Obama sees Palin in Fighter Jet while walking Bo on White House Lawn: "Michelle!!! I feel the need....the need for more weed!"
I heard it. Once again I wish Hannity had let her talk more and not gone into a long dissertation on how he's called so many times.
Erm, Seah, the difference is You Are A Public Figure. Jenny is not.
he's called names
Well, at least we can go back to getting some sleep.
I actually have a cold. I never get colds. Must. get. more. sleep.
Merry Christmas, Gov!! (Now go dark for a while so I can sleep... :) )
LMAO riley4palin!
Obama said it first.
Me too. When she speaks slowly her voice goes down an octive or so. I luv most everything about Sarah, but I wish she would get a voice coach to help her learn to speak slower and lower. M. Thatcher had a voice coach and I think lots of women in the public eye do because their voices are naturally high.
If Sarah had the time I think it would be very very helpful to her to learn to speak Spanish. Even if it was just a few words.
Sarah loves the military and they love her back. She is such a giving and grateful person. This whole thing just fits with her principles and heart so well. Good on ya Guv.
I would love to see that debate!
How about a good ole " crash and burn for the Dem party " hey, hey!!!!
Sarah 2012!
Gore is a carbon dioxide gas waiting to happen.....barf!
Sarah 2012!
The interview with Laura was great. What a class act.
She can handle that. Let the debate begin!
Neither Gore nor Sarah are scientists. If they did an Oxford style debate with two teams, that would be great. Sarah could get Lord Monckton on her team and it would be all over for Gore.
Laura Ingraham on BOR right now talking about the jacket auction.
Any news on that $63,000.00 dinner with the Guv?
I hope that the charity auction goes very well. The Holiday time is hard on many military families due to separations and the fact that they sacrifice so much (in terms of income) to keep America and all of us safe, and that includes ALL Americans.
So all you lefties, get out your wallets and checkbooks and help out.
While you all are waiting, examine this very informative and eye-opening post about the history of the temperature of our planet: http://wattsupwiththat.com/2009/12/09/hockey-stick-observed-in-noaa-ice-core-data/#more-13939
The current high bid on Sarah's Going Rogue jacket now stands at $20,000.00!
I was hoping she'd make it to Fairbanks for a signing.....
Eilson AFB is just 20 or so miles down the road.....
Hope to make it there, getting books signed for my Mother and myself would make my year complete!
I'll bet she'll be posing with a F-22 Raptor at Elmendorff, unlike OMMMMM-baba!
I sent him 2 emails after his show when wallace was on it. I told him I just lost respect for him and he chickened out by not asking him.... I don't really watch his show anymore.
Of course I never received a response from him....

the dinner happened months ago. A woman won the prize, and I think she just went herself. They didn't talk politics.
