Ted Belman: The Palin Brand

Sarah Palin represents common sense values that Independents can rally to. She eschews the Party and its brand and embraces the people and their values.
So what are these values?
1. Energy; "Drill, baby, drill", "Exploit all the above"
2. Economy; "Stop digging the hole deeper." and unleash the private sector.
3. Healthcare; She favors competition, tort reform and waste reduction.
4. Environment; Rejects Cap and Trade. Favors environmentally sensitive development.
5. Security; Support the armed services and let them do their job. Don't lower your guard. Specifically, stand by your allies, win in Afghanistan and treat terrorists as terrorists, not citizens.
6. Israel; Build, baby, build. She supports the right of Jews to build in Judea and Samaria. She rejects Obama's racist policy of telling the Jews where they cannot live. She is a harsh critic of Ahmedinejad and his government and faults Obama for not supporting the opposition.
7. Patriotism; Patriotism is good, not bad. America is good, not bad. The Constitution must be protected and upheld.
8. Social; She supports life not "death panels", the weak including challenged children and the elderly, hard work and not entitlement, private sector charity rather then government handouts..
9. Ethics; Accountability over cronyism
Not only do these values appeal to her base, they appeal to Middle America, to Independents and Democrats. On all these issues, Obama and the Democrats have set themselves up for a fall. Palin is on the right side of these issues and everyone knows it.
The Left in America doesn't so much reject these values as it does her. In fact they ignore her message and set up straw man values for her that they can attack. The Left is struggling to brand her as a Christian fundamentalist, God forbid, an idiot, a know-nothing, a racist and anything else that has a negative connotation.
Palin is effectively galvanizing and rebranding the Conservative movement and making it her own. Who better to lead it then she. The GOP will ultimately adopt her brand and her as leader.
Read the rest of Belman's piece here. The deliciously ironic aspect of this article is that Belman demonstrates the lunacy of PDS-afflicted David Frum by illustrating, using Frum's own words, that Governor Palin is the one candidate who can successfully rebrand and thus, rebuild, the GOP.

In a time when brands don't mean what they used to, the Palin brand is one we can count on!
I like the succinct bullet points he used to describe her positions. Her dad's right. She's not retreating; she's reloading.

Finally someone actually understands the "death panel"!
I have found observing Liberals that they are basically contrarians. They have made a lifetime of contrary remarks and statements that are in opposition to the Constitution(making it a living, breathing document). This is the lifeblood of their thinking. As Rush says they are funny when they are not in power. Now--not so much.
Our son-in-law has their thinking narrowed down to this: They don't get it because they don't want to.
That's why arguing with one is useless. It's not about truth anymore, it's about making up stuff.
That is Sarah's appeal. She doesn't make up stuff!

The TRUTH shall prevail.
The Truth is becoming more and more visiable everyday as this administration is now on it's last bit of "hope and change." The lies they have told throughout the campaign are now being seen for what they really are, LIES!
The American people (those that voted for the left, due to being politicially correct or the sympathy vote or lets make history vote) got a taste of what this administration is all about and they are finally realizing they made the Biggest Mistake of their Lives for their childrens future. They are afraid of what is happening and don't know what to do. They won't admit they made a mistake but next time they are NOT going to make the same mistake. They wanted change and got caught up in the rethoic and now they are sitting around wondering if they will be able to leave their children a better place then what they got from their parents. Now they are seeing through their parents eyes when their parents wanted better for them. They had it good, they grew up in a great America now their children might have to reap what they have swon, and it scares them to death.
All I can say is keep the faith, God is in control. He knows what is going on and He will direct their path, but they Must ask because God will NOT impose Himself on anyone. That is the kind of God we serve. He is an Awesome God and is waiting for those who are searching for the answers. Knock and the door will be open.
The Palin brand is Great, it is Truth, it is Good for Americans, it is Real and it will get America back on the right track. The Palin brand will make America the America many fought and died for, the America we want to leave our children, where they are free to be whoever they what to be, to do whatever they dream of doing. America is worth fighting for here on our own turf for our Freedoms, Freedoms that our Founding Fathers left us. It is up it us and The Palin brand is the one we need to make this happen.
