I don't have to be First, to be Number 1= Run Sarah Run

Second, hahaha
LOVE what she had to say. I wonder where she will be doing speeches in the next few months. I am looking forward to hearing more from her. I Hope she can go to the Tea Party event in Tennessee..I might just have to get my fanny over there if she goes
She'll keynote at the next Tea Party convention. I think that's in February. Forgot which state.
Great USA Today article. Amazing 2.8 million copies in print. Remember Rush Limbaugh says, "I hope she sells 3 million copies."
Bravo, Sarah! This was a great article/interview. I'll be attending her speech in Salina, KS, Feb. 5th. It''s at the Chamber of Commerce, so I would suspect it will focus on economic policy and fiscal conservatism.
What the book tour has done, in my opinion, is give Palin a buttress against the media attacks. They likely will still criticize her, but they do so at THEIR peril, not hers, because the tour showed she is hugely popular. Of course they will demean us all as "racists" and "deniers" but I'm sensing a slight change in tone with the mainstream media lately regarding Gov. Palin
They are taking her more seriously in the open now because they couldnt marginalize or discredit her like they had hoped to. THe LSM knows now that she has her own large base of supporters and they cant be ignored.
A fair article I thought, no snide remarks or condescention in it I could detect.
OK, does anyone know the media event she's doing in SoCal? Looks like, according to FlightAware, she's en route to Van Nuys as we speak.

OT/ Anyone here like Hall & Oates from the day, if so here's a video of Sarah in one of thier songs. Sorry if this annoys anyone but thought some might like to see it, I plunder You Tube for good Sarah vids. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMj1Rg5YHCA
Penny,
Leno?
What, u serious, she's coming to LA..why to Van Nuys of all places, come to the westside Sarah, I want to meet her so badly. I wonder what media segment she is doing..
No idea, sorry Penny.
Don't know. But remember, there was that lonely little star on the Going Rogue map.
Maybe she's gone rogue? :)
Its pouring rain here right now..bad timing, Sarah can come stay at my house, we got the heater on :-) Van Nuys would be an odd place to go, there is really nothing there. Maybe she is going to Simi Valley, where the reagan library is at..i have cousins there, if she is doing something there Id go out there just to see her
Nah its not Leno, she would have said it was Leno if she was going on Leno, she called it a segment, dont know ifs being taped tonight or she is coming here, staying a few days, then going home..if she is going on Leno I am SO there
Hey Lakerfan... I'm hopeing Sarah will make a stop somewhere in our area. So. Cal.
Keep your fingers crossed.
sarah 2012
Tommy - I do hope your right. But I can't imagine he wouldn't advertise it. Who knows, NBC might actually be "must see TV" for once.
Love Hall and Oates ...Sarah Smile = their first big hit 1976
sarah 2012
Wait, maybe Im misunderstanding all this but where does it mention that she is in los angeles, by her tweet she said doing a media segment, she doesnt mention where she is at
Laker - Van Nuys is just the destination airport. I kinda doubt she's going to hang there. :)
I am surprised Alaska liberals have not gone after Sean Parnell. He is Sarah's key player to wining in 2012 if Palin can get him reelected in 2010 she will have neutralized the bogus "quitter" meme in the eyes of non Alaskans or those who have not read her book. Real Alaskans know she had to leave because liberals were abusing an exploit in the ethics act, and making her go broke along with the state.
Bottom line: If Palin gets Parnell reelected she gets a huge boost for her 2012 hopes.
for real Tommy Leno?
Wish I knew.
sarah 2012
where did u get the info that she is even on a plane right now..Im confused
HECK YEAH..Id travel even in this God awful weather just to see her..it would be worth it
shhhhhhhhhhhhh dont give them any ideas..watch, tomorrow he'll have like 20 ethics complaints filed against him..just messing with ya
I book marked her plane on flightaware early on the tour. The same plane she used for the rest of the book tour took off right after her last tweet. Destination Van Nuys.
VERY NICE..hmmm,, a segment in los angeles, my ears are burning, Leno..a possibility, I doubt she would EVER go on Conan, he made a stupid joke about her being attacked by tomatoes and his audience was pathetic, it could be Leno since Rush went on his show and had a blast
I happened across this. In Iowa, where 700+ were in a small town, in the far corner of the state, in winter, to meet Sarah, this was background.
http://www.desmoinesregister.com/article/20091129/NEWS09/911290341/1001/NEWS/Iowa-Poll-Iowa-leans-conservative-offering-potential-for-GOP?GID=edkkSyUlkb+w13BVBjadOu1kPU0mVyQR0omahmxVW58%3D
"<span>Despite the GOP downturn in Iowa, intensity of opposition to Democratic spending programs in Congress and by the Iowa Legislature could feed an anti-incumbent trend at the ballot box next year, strategists say.</span>
<span>
<p>
Thousands of opponents to federal health care legislation turned out at 80 town hall meetings in August and September hosted by Iowa's congressional delegation. On one day alone, more than 1,000 people met with Grassley along stops in west-central Iowa, many of them voicing opposition.
In April, 3,000 anti-tax advocates showed up on the west steps of the Iowa Capitol in Des Moines to protest federal spending, including the $787 billion economic stimulus package.
</p><p>Two weeks ago, more than 1,000 people attended U.S. Rep. Ron Paul's speech at Iowa State University. The Texas Republican has remained a favorite of limited-government advocates since his 2008 presidential campaign.
Yet a week earlier, GOP leaders struggled to attract 700 people to the state party's annual fundraiser, which featured six candidates for governor and Gov. Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota, a rising national party figure."
</p><p>
</p><p>So Sarah, in Sioux City, for a book signing, with no arm twisting, had a crowd equal to or bigger than the Republican annual dinner, despite arm twisting to sell tickets.
</p><p>
</p><p>Sarah is not the problem. Sarah is the solution.
</p></span>
I know. She a basketball player. She's going to tape a segment scrimmaging with the Lakers to rub it in Barack's face! bwahahahaha
Shhhhhhhhhhh
Not messing with you.
No such ideas, please.
I have been thinking about this ticket for 2012.
<span>Palin/Parnell</span>
"A Tested Team. Ready to Govern."
Oh yeah I forgot about that one, good call Inde....I'll see if that one is there is there.
What is going to bring the so-called "Republicans" to Sarah is how much she raises in funds for candidates and her growing base of supporters. If they are stubborn about it they will pay a high price in '10. Let's face it, money talks with these suits.
On Leno, with her flute?
Leno, Todd and Sarah on Snowmachines?
They travel to and from the snow on motorcycles.
They visit Leno's cars.
Or, the snowmachines are on the racetrack with artificial snow?
Or Todd races Leno, Todd on a snowmachine, Leno on a motorcycle, side by side, one on snow, one on asphalt? Sarah with the checkered flag and Arctic Cat jacket ("now I can wear a jacket without having to hire a lawyer")
There is so much potential.
Leno needs Sarah.
Leno needs Todd.
Leno needs Trig.
Leno needs Piper.
And Willow, a motorhead, can show Leno how to handle a snowmachine and how to repair an engine.
Leno needs Willow.
Can the girls get a note from Leno for their teacher? YouBetcha!
Tied with with Colin Powell for a political memoir holding the #1 spot three weeks in a row! Nice to see another sign of just how off the charts excellent she is in American political life.
They could film a week's worth of segments.
Hey guys, I deleted some of my earlier post. Sarah doesn't need a bunch of stinkin reporters showing up at the airport to greet her.
But here's the tweet portion I previously posted:
<span>Head out now 2 tape a media segment b4 heading 2 Alaska for 2 more book events.I'm honored 2 sign@Anchorage&Fairbanks military bases Sunday</span>
she said media segment so i don't think thats leno.
Sarah works hard. Today, two signings, two cities, but RT between, 1000 mile flight, still en route.
And interviews, conversations, reading, writing. And family.
Hard work.
And probably enjoying every minute.
Nominations are won with delegates. Delegates are mostly picked by primaries and caucuses. Insiders have bit parts if a motivated public votes. Insiders will jump on the train to avoid becoming outsiders.
I really enjoyed reading this first hand account at a book signing. Sarah certainly connects, and is a very special person.

<span>Big News This is about major AK/Sarah Win</span>
<span>HOUSTON, Dec. 10 -- ExxonMobil Production Co. has resumed drilling two wells at Point Thomson gas-condensate field in Alaska, which it had drilled to about 5,000 ft in the ice-free part of the year (OGJ Online, Sept. 10, 2009).
Deeper drilling is allowed only during Nov. 1-Apr. 15.
The company expects the PTU-15 and PTU-16 wells to reach total depth by the end of 2010.
It plans to start production in 2014 of 10,000 b/d of condensate, processing 200 MMcfd of natural gas for recycling into the high-pressure reservoir.
The drilling is occurring under an interim conditional decision by the Alaskan government in a dispute over status of the leases (OGJ, Feb. 9, 2009, p. 29).</span>
http://www.ogj.com/index/article-display/0491535814/articles/oil-gas-journal/drilling-production-2/drilling-operations/2009/12/exxonmobil-resumes.html
In 2014, 10,000 barrels/day of crude oil equivilent, with 200,000,000 cubic feet of natural gas reinjected into the field until the natural Gas Pipeline is built.
Oil to keep the oil pipeline operating. Gas for the AGIA line. $ for Alaska. Jobs. oil and gas for America.
Drill Baby Drill. Drill or else.
Sarah forces Exxon to drill (or lose their lease). See Going Rogue.
(See index: "Sarah Whips Exxon into shape") ;-)
USA Today:
"the seat that had been held for more than a century by Republicans".
And these are the pro's? Who does their homework?
It's in Nashville, Tenn.
USA Today is still determined to try and show Sarah in a bad light. Sure, they say a few positive things but they make sure they get in all the digs they can. Mentioning the American Nightmare book is one, this is a backhanded way of generating interesting in that book. In addition, comments about her intellect, and even having to mention "old news" like Lisa Murkowski's criticism of her when she resigned. Shouldn't they mention that Sarah beat Lisa's day in the election for governor? And why not mention recent polls taken after the book was released? No, they find one from October and use that.
I found... the article sexist... mentioning that women overwhelmingly attend the book signings. Wait a minute... wasn't there a previous sexist article that noticed that Palin did better with men than women in polling? I guess.... the press plays any sexism they can come up with including that's she's not really a woman. I think... that would be a surprise to Todd!
Wow... it seems all the press knows how to do is play the race card (see Adrienne's previous article) or play the sexism card. I'm bored... lets watch FOX!
Dr.King's dream and Jesus' vision for the planet was character before color and sex. The press lost sight of this somewhere in college. It must have been the "Maxist professors".
loved this account!!
Women attending the book signing during a week day...of course, most men or at work and men are not going to a "book signing" for anyone like women would. That comment is just stupid.
or=are
