Fox News: Palin Camp Fires Back at Washington Post
Jake Gibson reports:
Sarah Palin's camp was quick to fire back at the Washington Post's blog, The Plum Line, for their report saying that Palin is at war with conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh.
Sarah Palin spokesperson Meg Stapleton told Fox, "The Washington Post is trying hard to take the pressure off the White House by creating a side controversy, but it is missing the point: as the Governor has said, it doesn't matter who says the "r" word: it should no longer be part of our lexicon."
Limbaugh used the "r" word repeatedly during his daily radio show yesterday. When the Palin camp was asked for comment on Limbaugh's actions by the Washington Post, they said,“Governor Palin believes crude and demeaning name calling at the expense of others is disrespectful.”
Palin officials say that is the same comment they have given reporters for a host of other instances where someone had used the "r" word and they are not singling out Limbaugh.

The LSM sure does run with nothingburgers.
You have got that right. They probably have list of every Republican who has used the "R" word and will want to know how Sarah feels about it.
As Obama would say: Press Corpse
"R" word for the lamestream media: Reason
I knew this would be a controversy after I heard Rush going crazy with it.
Oh come on now, you all know this is a war in the conservative Army that will lead to total destruction. hehe....he!
I knew it'd be a controversy when Sarah demanded Rahm be fired. Oh well.
This is the point! Rush has no bigger fan than me, but he blew this one. He let them change the subject. I knew as soon as he said it that they'd use this against both of them. He <span>unwittingly</span> put her on the spot and took some of the heat off Rahm.
Not a disaster, but a pain in the neck she didn't need.
Sarah needed to do this. Not only do you not want to get on Rush's bad side you have to disabuse the notion to the MSM as well or the narrative will spread or gain traction. The MSM knows that if Rush is in Sarah's corner she has instant credibility, regardless of how the GOP establishment and elites treat her. This is a traditional strategy of Left-divide and conquer.
Again Sarah is a lifelong listener of Rush's. She would not be any longer if Rush had made the comments originally, rather than Rahm.

At least it'll have one reader: the Perky One.
Trying to divide the 2 components of The Sum of All Fears?
Good luck with that!
Well it may be splitting hairs, but she never actually asked for Rahm to be fired - only that Obama shouldn't include him in his inner circle of decision making. At least that is the way I read it.
You called it right.
Sarah never demanded Rahm be fired. Rush was wrong. She only asked for him not to be included in the internal strategy sessions because of his bullying manner regarding the other participants which she felt was counterproductive to providing solutions to help American families.
So glad I can not read.
Same here.
Allalpundit need to correct his Story!! and update his poll.
I agree that she had to do this.
She reads....books?
Maybe she's going to write a fiction. You know, about Sarah...lol

Right techno.
It'll never happen. Have a feeling that no one feels worse about this than Rush. He'll be even more in her corner now if that's possible.
Anyone with a Hot Air account might want to go there and post a comment
Pass.
It's a fictional books.
violence?
everyone who has a hot air account email allahpundit or Ed.
Diedre does, Sapwolf does but he's busy with the TPC.
Sarah, thanks for your championing for all Gods special children and calling it like any civilized society should act... who ever the net catches so be It, and to all who choose to cause unwarranted controversy... you are no different an offender!
Where's Lipstick? She has an account but she never comments.
You could be right. But if I got it wrong, I bet other people interpreted in the same way. Ah, anyways...
OT--Just heard on the top of the hour <span>Lib</span> news about people gathering in Nahville. The reporter said "Most are wearing red, white and blue, flag lapel pins and Sarah Palin buttons".
I completely agree with Gov. Palin's original Facebook post. I don't know, though, that she expected the LSM to run with everything like they did by bringing up other conservatives who used the term (i.e. Gov. Perry staffer). Then, Rush spoke yesterday about this. Was he being sarcastic? Yes. Did he go overboard? A tad, I think. Are the media recognizing the sarcasm? No. That is expected. She now is stuck on how to respond to all of this.
All in all, I think this will be a net neutral gain.
Absolutely
Mark,
I am probably way off base here, but wanted to put this thought out there.
This feels like the Magic Negro non controversy, that they tried to pin on Rush. Rush, as does Governor Palin, uses the Left's words against them. I did not listen to the whole 3 hours of Rush's show yesterday, so please, correct me if I am wrong, but I only heard him using the words Rahm used, and quoted Rahm. Never using "retard", as a slur? against anyone. So, just as the Magic Negro was used by an LA Times writer, and no one made a peep, but when Rush used the phrase against the Left, the world stops.
I am just wondering, if that is what is happening here.
And so, Governor Palin makes another basic statement of people just being decent, but because Governor Palin and Rush, are both steps ahead of and in the heads of the Left, this is will not be a wedge that the Left can use to divide those two or us.
Does that make sense? And am I off track anywhere?
Thanks!
I posted at HA the Palin rebuke of the WAPO story.
I sometimes wonder if the media actually reads her FB posts and they just have issues with comprehension or do they willingly distort what she writes thinking that the average person won't go directly to Palin's posts to read for themselves?
...
I think I answered my own question *sigh*
The media is failing at it's number one job. Informing the public. If it can't do that what is it good for?
oh, wait, I can answer that too.
I for one will be happy when Saturday night gets here - in what I know will be a great speech, it will bury this issue.
But what many political observers still fail to see is that imho the GOP House leadership blunder last Friday to invite Obama to their retreat that gave Obama a golden opportunity to showcase his charisma and likeability, heightened by the MSM spin of the event (he hit a grand slam Mike Allen of Politico) resulted in a pronounced spike in his poll numbers, this was partly to blame for forcing Sarah to write her Facebook post condemning Rahm, which undermined the positive spin Obama was getting and focused on a negative incident that apparently stopped the bleeding (Obama currently is at 49 job approval with Rasmussen and 50 approval with Gallup).
Sure personal indignation was part of the post but it was not all of it.
I bet sarah already emailed rush.
You're never off track Nancy as far as I'm concerned. I agree. He meant it that way. I just think the timing was off. It's not a big deal imo. It's just temporarily awkward. I wanted Rahm to twist in the wind with no diversions.
<p><span>Look at the bright side, the independence don’t like Rush so there could be a little pump out of this.</span></p>
Glenn Beck has mentioned that he emails with Sarah back and forth, so I hope she does the same with Rush and Sean and Mark Levin too.
Nope. I think you nailed it. Much ado about nothing. Sarah fixed it and it's over.
Me too...or visa versa.
I appreciate your thoughts, Mark.
Thank you!
The Left will never get Rush's sarcasm, but it seems maybe Rush took it to the point where Governor Palin's message is lost.
Nancy, your analysis is right on the money. I am a Rush subscriber...I listen to him everyday. He was just repeating Rahm.
Nicole has a talent for fiction, as any observer of those excerpts from "Game Change" can attest,
Hey, check this out. I found this short little video from the Tea Party Convention and it has Sapwolf in it.
http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=35507&840
Isn't that kind of ironic from someone who called Sarah's memoir a "work of fiction." I guess it takes a fiction writer to spot fiction.
She knows rahms fumble on healthcare has left his underbelly exposed. Sarah saw the opening and sunk her teeth into him.
Sarah and Rush are in the process of playing the msm like a pair of violins. Enjoy the concerto fellow marmots.
a poll out post the primary in Illinois has the GOP candidate up at this time.
As it was in Massachusetts, the independents are strongly for the GOP right now:
""Among voters not affiliated with either of the major parties, the Republican holds a sizable 59% to 22% lead. ""

I wish I could get a Hot Air account ... how would that be possible????

I haven’t read the comments over at the other threads so others may have already mentioned part or all of what I’m about to say:
People are WAY OVER REACTING to this whole Rahm Deadfish Emanuel/Palin/Rush saga. For starters, I have worked for an organization that helps children with Down Syndrome, I have met and talked to many parents. Down Syndrome children live in a world of their own, they are very hard to take care of and need 24/7 very special care. Its hard work yet parents of those children incur a special bind and love for this child. They are extremely sensitive about the topic. SO I understand Governor Palin’s reaction when the Chief of Staff of the POTUS makes such a comment. Anyone who has not been in such situation has no right to judge her.
Now, regarding Rush, first of all she used a standard statement she uses in these cases, but mostly can you imagine the outrage of the MSM had the Governor let it pass. Hypocrisy would have jumped to the top of Google search, and that’s just the beginning. Rush is a smart guy and he knows that, and I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that the Governor spoke to him about it.
Let’s remember one thing Governor Palin is consistent she does not say one thing to one group and quite the opposite to the other, where an issue needs to be taken care of she’ll deal with it whether you’re a friend or foe . As a foe she’ll pull out the nightstick, as a friend she’ll tell you what you need to hear not what you want to hear, and that’s exactly why I support her, among the many other things.
In 48 hours we’ll be hearing from her, she’ll take everything on, Sunday morning campaign 2012 begins.
Here's another great Tea Party tweet pic.
<span>People r so excited about Sarah here they r putting posters of her in their balconies </span>
<span></span>

<span></span>
<span>I think that is Sapwolf's picture of the Guv isn't it?</span>
Plus, news came out today that the Dem. Lt. Gov. candidate had been arrested in 2005 for abusing his girlfriend. I don't know how this wasn't discovered before the primary, but for Republicans this is good. He's not planning on backing out of the general election.
O/T O'Reilly attempted to stand up for Sarah Palin against the evil Jon Stewart tonight.
O'Reilly: "Do you think you've been too hard on Sarah Palin?"
(dumb question, coulda been a little stronger).
Stewart: "no." (of course, he would say that.)
O'Reilly Have you been as hard on any other woman politician?
Stewart: "Hillary."
O'Reilly: "Were you as hard on Hillary as you have been on Sarah Palin?"
Stewart: "Hillary has been along longer, so give Palin time and I'll get around to it."
Then Stewart said he didn't like the whole "real America" vibe he got from Sarah Palin. (Typical liberal.) He feels victimized by Sarah, poor baby, who insulted the coastal elite snobs who have made their living mocking us schlubs in middle America, but can't take it when the tables are turned.
Then Stewart says it shouldn't matter where you live but who you are ... uh huh. These lefties delight in mocking fly over country.
Anyway, I thought Bill O'Reilly was really to easy on Stewart. I think O'Reilly is having an existential crisis. He genuinely wants to be liked by the lefties. He wants to appear more reasonable the rest of the "conservatives." And the most passionate part of O'Reilly's interview with Stewart was when he was distancing himself from the Republican party.
Anyway ... I still like O'Reilly, but he's kinda squishy sometimes.
finally home... what did Rush say today that started this... someone catch me up cause I dont have time to listen to him tonight... but this is peaked my curiosity.
Why would he choose to say stuff like this on his show today and shift the focus off of Rahm??? Seems like Sarah went after Rahm... and Rush chose to ruin her efforts...
Someone fill me in please!
I think Rush may have assumed too much. He kept saying Sarah was a long time listener and knew what he was doing, but apparently she didn't feel the joke was funny. The term hurts her no matter where it comes from.
On the other hand, I don't think it helped for Sarah to join the PC word police, however briefly. The term was not directed at her son. Perhaps she was using the Left's own tactics against them when Rush f'ed up the situation, but I think she was genuinely hurt by the word, and really shouldn't have been.
This was always my reservation about O'Reilly, Stewart deserves no such courtesy, He should have said how's that blind support of your candidate worked out for you. Stewart's profanity laced response to Sarah's questions about Obama's bonafides, well you get what I mean
Wow. Fantastic Sheya!
That is correct. I don't know why every single little thing gets blown way out of proportion. Thank you for your common sense.
Hey, could you be a common sense conservative? ;)
Every once in a while they have a day of open registration. It's been a while so some time soon. The announcement is in the lower section "blocks".
Rick Perrys aide needs to resign NOW!
http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/dn/latestnews/stories/020410dnmetpalinperry.e628ea79.html
She isn't stuck on how to respond to it. She just did, by saying that it's disrespectful, no matter who says it. End of story, end of any doubts. No need to question everyone who has ever used the term, no need to call anyone else out.
Izzy,
I appreciate that, I thought maybe I had missed something, because I didn't hear the full 3 hours. Rush is a totally different person from what the Left conjure up in their pea brains to portray him as. Him using that word against anyone seems totally out of character for him.
Paul Shanklin is a comedic genius. Those parodies he creates for Rush's show are some of the best bits, ever.
Banking Queen, The Justice Brothers and the one with KSM singing "New York, New York", are out of this world funny.
I'm sure it was discovered before the primary, only now the people have discovered it.
hey look... its an old troll... sjk... how ya been... can someone explain to me why he isn't banned from here just on principle???
You're right. I should have said that it didn't come out in the media until today.
That's so neat! Who is the woman on the right with the long hair?
I've seen her in a number of videos holding that same Sarah portrait.
Sheya, you nailed it. Thanks.
all Sarah needs to do is Put one big, fat, endorsement of Marco Rubio on her Facebook Page :)
There's a distinction I think between Emmanuel, who is trying to ram through a death panel (QUALY) system that would do hard to the disabled, elderly, and some really stupid casual comment by Carney, who is not the smartest tool in the shed
I saw a fox poll that had LIC at 46/47 but now I can't find it.
i thought we dealt with why she hasnt done that yet last night... florida remains a landmine for Sarah. She needs to endorse Rubio without pissing off Jeb Bush who's influence she will need to win Florida in a few years, which can't happen yet. then theres the McCain/Crist issue. its a landmine that for now she's smart to keep clear of.
defendAmerica- Safe travels.
Don't discount a lack of reading comprehension. It is incredibly widespread in the US today.
LIC?
thanks... can you tell me what rush said today???
Many folks are defending the use of the word retarded as not necessarily referring to people with special needs.
While that may be true, the root of the current meanings stemmed from making fun of anyone who was, excuse me, mentally challenged. Years ago, there was no other meaning, for it was always directed at an individual... not an object or an idea. It has evolved into a broader meaning, but the problem is that no matter how you spin it, the root has not changed.

OT... did anyone catch Scott Brown being sworn in and Plugs Biden tripping all over his tongue?
thanks whit.
Sarah has the Saturday speech, during which she will (I hope) try to steer the Teaparty people toward the GOP. Later she has a big speech at the Republican Leadership Conference (or whatever) where she can try to get the GOP to embrace the Teaparty movement. Two complementary speeches. In the latter, she can also remind them who their friends are - and that Obama is not one of them.
My apologies for forgetting you were at HotAir techno.
I bet Rush called Sarah.
Here is the statement for Perry's adviser. The same for both
"Gov. Palin believes crude and demeaning name-calling at the expense of others is disrespectful," Stapleton said.
lecturer-in-chief
Right, JeanA?
you could make the same argument for a number of racial slurs and sexist slurs... but the left would freak if we used some of those terms and then used this same argument.

<span><span><span>
<p>Boy I sure would like that.<span> </span>I don’t know if you read section 9’s comment last night on this matter, but section 9 made some really goods points on how Florida is a mine field and that Sarah will have to walk it very carefully.<span> </span>As for me, I would love for Sarah to go “Rogue” and endorse Rubio now.<span> </span>But Sarah is the one that has to navigate the Florida mine field, not me.<span> </span><span> </span>But I believe in the end she will endorse him when she senses the time is right.<span> </span>

Yeah, I noticed. Senator Brown keps his game face on.
Stewart's the typical Manhattan NYer. They <span>despise</span> and are incredably ignorant about everything that lies between NY and L.A. They're SCARED of it! I really mean that.
You nailed it with O'Reilly. He likes the left to call him "fair". If you're a conservative who believes strongly in conservatism, you're an idealogue, almost in the same class as the KOS nuts. I think he's also one of the least informed people on Fox. It's like he skims through headlines sometimes--a little Larry Kingish there! Better than most, most of the time though.
Yeah, I noticed. Senator Brown kept his game face on though. It will be interesting to see how SB41 votes next week on this labor appointment.
He used to be really good and the left hated his guts, now all their energy seems focused on Beck, but that's because he is exposing the Obama administration for who they are.
Fear motivates trolls. Take them as a sign of success.
Yes it will!
i agree. look she got to go after rahm, show she can be call rush out if need be. however, in no way does this hurt her with ruhs or visa versa- they are as you say just playing lsm
Actually I'll be hearing from her in 24 hours ... ha ha ha ha :-)
You'd better have a full report RD!
Sean is just ripping President Obama on the "corpseman", misreading.
And if you can video tape it - if allowed - that would be even better
Don, the proper term is "individual with developmental disabilities (or DD). This covers mental retardation, down syndrome, or other clinical physiology. Mental illness is not included in this category. A person suffering from mental illness is deemed to have mental illness or is mentally ill.
The term, Mental Retardation, stemmed from the belief that the condition was the result of impeded or retarded growth of the brain, hence "retardation". It has since been learned that the various conditions included in this chacterization have multiple causes, thereby making the term "mental retardation" largely inaccurate. Unfortunately, the original term has devolved into a perjorative used as a put down. "Retard" as a verb or "retarded" as an adjective, are words that can certainly be used in their proper context without offending anyone. It's when they are used as a taunt or as a way to belittle someone, that it becomes improper.
hahaha
The two trolls are on the thread below talking to each other..
I don't think they'll allow it Sheya. The Pro-Life event in Columbus forbids any recording devices, I'm assuming this event will have the same policy sadly. :(

Now the AP wants us to believe it is Sarah's responsibility to tax assess her own property. The government does that MORONS!
Does the AP stand for Anti-Palin these days?
Hmmm ... Well I wouldn't want to break the rules. I do have a very tiny camera. But I'm a reporter so I'm used to taking quick notes :-) I will try to get a report filed tomorrow night.
If you look at Sarah's Facebook post she never demanded Rahm be fired, just more Lamestream Media distortion. She asked for the sake of decency that he be removed from the inner circle when they are discussing issues.
Wait until after the speech Saturday. It'll be like Lord of the Rings here. Happiness attracts trolls. They try to ruin it.
That is a bad idea.
Do they realize that the first meeting went poorly?
They want to shoot themselves in the other foot?
What is in the water in D.C.?
They are handing Obama gifts.
Losers.
Retarded means "slowed". In physics, we say that light is retarded when it passes through glass - it actually travels more slowly than it does in vacuum. A person's physical growth is retarded if they don't get enough nutrition. So referring to an individual who is slowed in their mental development is just one legitimate use of the word. We can't keep putting legitimate words like "retarded" or "Negro" off limits or eventually we'll be reduced to grunts and gestures. It's the goal of the Left to pummel us into silence, but we shouldn't join them in that game.
Here is a comment at Politico that is meant to be sarcastic I think but contains a lot of truth in terms of what Obama is capable of doing when he meets with Republicans:
from Serendipituous Chocolate:
"House Republicans got punked the first time, so they want a re-match? It probably would be a good idea to have the president do this. Fox might even cover all of it, unless it looks like Republicans are getting their butts kicked again. Then you will have a producer running down the hall screaming "cut the feed!" :p Another meeting would give the President a chance to underscore why you should never trust Republicans to even come close to making budget decisions again. Point out that Republicans under Reagan took our nation from being the top creditor nation in the world to the bottom. Following the tinkle down economy theory, Reaganomics who had as one of its tenets, deficit spending. Follow up with former VP Dick Cheney's comment that deficits don't matter. Point out the 2 unfunded wars, the trillion dollars in unfunded programs like medicare part d, and the other reckless Republican spending. I think a re-match could leave Republicans running screaming from the room.:)
Which one's Sapwolf??
i take a different view than you guys. the GOP is suckering obama in, letting him talk-talk-talk. He already admitted that alll sorts of perks were " snuck into the healthcare bill".
The prior setting was poor....obama was back lighted.....no rebuttal questions. the rules will change in a rematch.
no way obama plays.
Mark
I don't think they will wait until Sat. They will be here for tomorrow's speech.
YES!!
Especially on the issue of ObamaCare.
The Emmanuel brothers are no friends to people not pulling their weight in the collective.
She already bruised Obama about this issue, and she attempted to push on that bruise with this dressing down of Rahm.
after Sarah's recent salve the only corpse-man i know is rahms position as chief of staff.
i don't want to run out of Kitteh videos. Some might say that's impossible, but I don't want to risk it.
The problem with abusive language of all kinds, is that it corrodes with overuse. The N word for instance shouldn't be used, because of it's negative character, when one tries to 'appropriate
it' positively it gives other license to abuse it. There is a reason why certain words are taboo, but
this society makes it seem like those reasons are arbitrary.
Now Sarah is a decent person and I'm sure she didn't like writing up that string of Schmidt's profanity as with Emmanuel's ravings, but they are a window to someone's soul, to their mindset
Mike Allen claimed the Messiah hit a home run last Friday at the GOP retreat. David Axelrod in the Politico article talked about the encounter in glowing terms. The Dems aren't stupid, panchita. They know "a sucker is born every minute" and the GOP House caucus is full of them and as PT Barnum said, "Never give a sucker an even break."
Why is this important? Because it could cause our side the election if Obama over time can spin his magic in front of the camera while the House GOP members are used as pawns on his Marxist chessboard to destroy GOP credibility. Don't underestimate the power of the Messiah and the power of his oratory and especially that he is so likeable.
So then what's the battle plan for the seige after the Sat speech?
Do we:
A) Ignore them
B) Try to engage them with calm arguments
C) Commit VIOLENCE!!!!!!! on the ones who merely name call and make accusations
D) Just wait until the mods clean them up
E) None of the above
Hmmmmmmm, Sapwolf, you dog, you.....

Unfortunately, no amount of spin can change the fact that Palin has stepped in it. I said when she made her initial statement that it would boomerang on her in a not so nice way. Some of you guys were so gleeful about her attacking Rahm Emmanuel that you couldn't look further down the road to the consequences. Hopefully this will be a learning experience for her. The media and opposition are always ready to spin, distort and lie about her, so she need to be careful how she and her staff pick their words. She also needs to learn which fights to excalate and which to leave to others. Some of you will no doubt disagree with me but think of it this way. Just up till a moment ago Rahm was the center of attention for saying something regrettable, now Palin is the center of attention for simply denoucing it. How the stuation has changed. Just a few days before appearance at the TPN and campaigning for Gov. Perry this will be what the media will be talking about, and unfortunately this is not what will help Palin win over skeptical and skittish independents, it is not what will soften up mushy moderates. This type of stuff feeds into the Palin is a "lightning rod", "polarizing individual", "divisive character" and "trainwreck" talking points so popular with her detractors. Every second spent talking about something trivial as regards Palin is a moment lost when something more meaningful could have been said or done. The media strategy is just like what the ankle bitters in Alaska did, which is to hurl as much dirt at her to either bury her, soil and destroy her image or make her spend so much time defend herself every moment of day she can't be really be effective at anything else. This strategy will work in blunting or diminishing Palin's power so long as she gives them needless ammo. A typical moderate or independent voter will see this whole fiasco as unnecessary and Palin's role in it probably won't impress them. A simple statement without the lecture would have sufficed, then let other associations carry the battle forward. Trust me this isn't the last we have heard of this. It will go into the new treasure trove of mainstream media attacks on Gov. Palin as the media know that all '08 election controversies are growin old and irrelevant fast.
as you know narciso, for us, its inherent not to utter racist comments under any circumstances.
the left fell they are under no such restraint since carrying the letter (d) exempts them from charges of racism.
All the while a humble citizen like Sarah, simply giving a speech extolling the virutes of her presedential candidate get besmirhed by a supposed racist comment from the audience ( disproven by the CIA)
Tomorrow's speech?? She's speaking tomorrow?! I'm still in the office! I feel blacked out!
Querido Montel: como esta ese " hope and change" he he he he he he he he he he HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Img, my point was that many individuals with DD do not have their condition due to retarded mental development. Their are numerous factors that can lead to DD. Mental Retardation use to be a catch-all for anyone with DD. DS is a good example. It's caused by an extra chromosome, not by retarded development.
As I stated before, it's simply wrong to use "retard" or "retarded" as a perjorative, just as Emmanuel did.
Also, the one who shall not be named, lied about Governor Palin calling Trig, her re..... baby.
I would think Rahm using this word, brings indignation out in her.
Yup, check the comment history, it's been hanging around a few days trying to be incognito and has some nasty crap still lying around on the "Tax" thread. Wasn't this particular Troll (SJK from the belly of the plane) BANNED from C4P back in the RAM days?
Thanks for the input folks, and thank you Colonel for the correct term.
I understand the many varied uses of the word retarded, both as an adjective and verb and their validity. I was only referring to the use of the word regarding individuals with developmental disabilities. And yes, it was once a valid medical term, which should have been discarded as the true nature of developmental disabilities became more understood. It seems to have stayed around as a personal discriptor for no other reason than to belittle others.
Of course, the left immediately jumped on any possible use of the word to attack Sarah as ignorant. Deep thinkers all.

As a long time listenere of Rush, I can tell you there is nothing to worry about. The mainstream media simply fell for Rush's trap. Just listen to his show tommorrow and wait for things to play out.
Good Evening!
Nancy, I think the meeting DID NOT go poorly. The media has misreported it. If you watch it, you see the Reps stand up and confront him with facts and you see him stuttering and stammering to try to justify his lies.
Obviously, the media succeeded in crowning Obummer the victor. How anyone can actually watch it and think that Obummer won it, is beyond logic.

Evening Mia! Love the avatar, so did you feel the earthquake?
It wouldn't hurt for Sarah to publicly discipline Rush Limbaugh once in a while. Rush goes over the board sometimes. The liberals & the MSM are trying very hard to tie Rush and Sarah to everything, make them buddies buddies. Rush may be beloved amongst the conservative base, but he IS a very controversial figure. Sarah doesn't need his baggage. She can be respectful to him and his audience, but slap him once in a while if he crosses the line. Not many people can do that and survive, but she can. In fact, I'll bet Rush might even find it refreshing.
Yup. The Cuda would've been a great boxer. She threw a right at exactly the right time and it landed. She wants the Emmanuel bros. heads on a stick.
KC:
You hit on it with your last paragraph. It only matters what the MSM reports about the encounter and how they spin it to make Obama look good. This is not about reality but only about perception. And Obama is a master of illusion and above all his likeability is off the charts-currently liked by 2/3 of respondents in the weekly Economist/youguv polls.
Why take the chance to drive up his poll numbers?
OK, I gotcha. Your post came in after I submitted my comment. Thanks for the correction.
if anybodys watching Greta, aren't you surprised at how deferential fish mouth cameron is to Sarah these days.
hmmm....
Look Sargent has proven to be a mendacious weasel, just consider the terrorist hunting program that he lied about, TPM lies they were the first to spread the 'affair' meme, Kos lies, Huff Po lies, I think she made her point generic and clear, they are just trying an Alinsky back at her,
Carl Cameron had a report from the convention for Greta and he sounded almost giddy. He seemed enthused and defended the tea party people at the convention and Sarah Palin. I was very impressed.
Just now on Greta, I thought that was a very fair and informative report by Carl Cameron on the Tea Party Convention. What say you Dan?
Here's the deal....The earthquake was caused today... because I was AUDITED!...YIKES!!!!...
I have often joked about what I say here at C4P...would cause me to be Audited!!...Coincidence????....hmmmm...
Results....Squeaky Clean!!!....hehehe...
Better that they run with this than some other lie.
We almost posted at the same time. That was the impression I got too!
Are you kidding me? Very interesting......
The President is not a member of the House the way the Prime Minister is in England. Regular "Question Time" would not be appropriate, just as it was inappropriate for the President to diss the Supreme Court members in the SOTU speech.
Nope
What do you mean these days? haha
Since Aug 30 2008
Whatever!
I vote VIOLENCE!
Oh Yeah...One more thing...I said...Hey...how about I assess my Property Taxes???... ;)
LOL!
Hey TexMex is there anyway I can contact you? I want to talk to you off the thread...
I heard Rush on the radio today talking about it too. He thinks he can get away with it, but I believe he used the r-word like how he allowed the "Magic Negro" song. If it was uttered by someone else, he'll use it to mock and sometimes he goes a bit too far.
hehehe
Hey TexMex are you on Facebook? I want to talk to you off the thread for a moment...
Great minds think alike jimr3!!!!
So who from C4P will be at any of the events the next 4 days?
What?
@Img - That's what I was going to say and then I saw your comment on the next page. :)
I was audited about 20 yrs. ago and we took in 3 huge boxes of receipts and paperwork. The auditor looked at a couple of the documents my wife and I produced in response to her questions, thanked us and we left. We've never been audited again....LOL.
Yeah, I think that's Sapwolf's.
Fellow barbarians...you will like this article about Sarah Palin and the Tea Party.
http://politicalintegritynow.com/2010/02/sarah-palin-and-the-tea-party/
Thanks, Meg and Sarah, for releasing this statement to Fox News! I KNEW the WaPo was trying to stir up controversy where there was none. They are right - this is about liberals trying to get the story off of Rahm and onto Palin/Rush. Won't work, liberal jerks.
Speaking of jerks, I wonder whose payroll Andrea Tantaros is on? I heard she likes John Thune. Hey Andrea....I don't much care what your "opinion" is on Sarah running in 2012....if she wants to run, she will run. She is massively popular with the grassroots, evangelicals, conservative leaning independents and libertarians...why shouldn't she run? To give your boy a better shot? If your boy was so strong, then it shouldn't matter if Gov. Palin is in the race or not....right? He would overcome her.
Can't WAIT to here Sarah's speech tommorrow!
Great article Izzy! Thanks.
Hey...What time will the Nashville speech be televised?
I think RD will be at the Kansas speech tomorrow.
<p><span>Thanks for sharing Izzy.<span> </span>A nice article to end my night!</span></p>
To be honest, the first time I read it, I thought she wanted him fired, but I read it again and it sounded like she just wanted him to not be part of the discussion.
Yep! :-)
Wait, Angela, do you mean her speech in Kansas? Are you going????
To say that Sarah "stepped in it" implies that Sarah doesn't understand or hasn't learned from what happened to her during and after the election. She knows full well the implications of speaking her mind. She also knows full well the value of keeping her pledge to be an advocate of special needs children. She didn't step in it, she donned her mudders and jumped in with both feet, with deliberate purpose. I applaud her for sticking with her promises and convictions.
Whoops, I meant Saturday!
Hey Lipstick
Did you see my apology about using the term jog instead of run?
Sorry....my bad.....I'm just a walker......hehehe
