Speaking of Rahm Emmanuel, thought I would repost my thoughts on him from an earlier thread, don't think a lot of people caught it:
Earlier today I said that maybe I was being too strong in my language, after further thought I have come to the conclusion that I wasn't being strong enough in my language, I was stating a fact as I saw it. I believe that Rahm Emmanuel is an evil person. He is one of the purest Alinskyites I have seen since I heard of Saul Alinsky. Let's not forget that Alinsky dedicated his book to Lucifer (aka Satan). Interestingly I had only heard of Saul Alinsky two years ago yet his book Rules for Radicals has been around for decades and it made me wonder why we hadn't discovered Rules for Radicals in all this time.
But I digress, I want to be careful here because I have no evidence of this, but one of the investigators who looked into the Wasilla church burning said it was the possible work of a hired assassin. I agree with KentonAK that it was definately the work of a hired assassin. If there was anyone within the Obama administration that I could see ordering something like that, it would be Emmanuel, because like the true Alinskyite that he is, he believes the ends justify the means. Whoever did it had no concern at all for the people in the church, who were mosly women and children. I believe that Emmanuel is more than capable of such an act. Anybody who yells "dead" and sticks a knife into a table after shouting a person's name is not only a disturbed individual, but possibly sociopathic. Speaking hypothetically, if it were to become known that he ordered it I wouldn't be surprised at all.
When it comes to his brother Ezekial, I think he demonstrates more than anyone in the Progressive camp, the kind of mindset that led to the Holocaust. Remember folks, the NAZI's did not come up with eugenics and the idea of a "final solution" on their own. A lot of their inspiration came from the United States, from Progressives such as Margaret Sangor. Hitler even wrote a letter to Sangor praising the "good work" she was doing in the United States. This is why I didn't understand that for so long we ceded the compassion ground to the Left. If you look back in history, clearly it was the Left who had no compassion for people they considred to have less of a right-to-life than them. It is reflected today in the visceral reaction many of the Left had to Sarah giving birth to a Down-Syndrome child. I have said this before and I'll say it again, we should not let the Left get away with sweeping this part of their legacy under the rug, we need to bring it out in the open as much as possible and hang it around their necks. Fortunately Sarah Palin and other brave Conservatives have already started this process.
I wonder if the Governor has already received the dead fish on her doorstep.

One of the primary reasons the RINO's are clueless is that not only do they not understand Alinsky tactics or want to embrace them but they do not want anybody in the GOP to embrace them or utilize them either against Obama or the Far Left.
For them it is more important to them to have good relations to the MSM and the only way they can do that is to cozy up to Obama and the Democrats and say "Yes sir, Mr. President, anything you say Mr. President."

Has anybody else noticed that once Sarah Palin became the frontrunner instead of being protective of or nervous with the lead, she has like all great superstars has acted very confidently and sought to expand the lead and bury the opposition. A certain golfer in rehab now used to be like that as well. If I were in charge of developing political strategies to deal with Sarah, I don't know how I would counter her. She is just too talented, too shrewd and on top of her game. And folks, what is scary about Sarah, when she is on top of her game, nobody can beat her.

Saw a report that has Tampa, Phoenix and Salt Lake City as the three finalists for the 2012 RNC. If so, I think Tampa will get it. FL is always a big swing state, home to seniors and hispanics which will be important blocs. AZ will remind people of McCain and Phoenix can be extremely hot. UT offers no electoral edge and it will mean loads of stories about Mormonism which could take away from the message. Also, if they announce SLC ahead of time it's tantamount to endorsing Romney, I doubt they'd do that. It'd be like if they announced they'd chosen Anchorage or Little Rock. Plus, SLC and Utah isn't a real big party scene and that's important for a convention.
Tampa is a huge party town, has great weather, is near a whole bunch of beaches, has handled multiple Super Bowls, and it has a bunch of intangibles. I say Tampa gets it.
She has learned to use that time lag as an advantage with her late-night postings allowing 8 to 12 hours public exposure before the adbinistration even knows they've been whacked again.....

We have moved on to the newer posts and many of us are not aware that they are planting all these negative landmines so that lurkers and new people that are reading the comments on older posts to get a feel of the place are being exposed to the Troll-droppings that are just LIE-ing around with no rebuttal. I've seen Trolls do this for YEARS, sometimes they will go back several days or even a week to strew uncontested crap for readers to step in.....

We'll be more than happy to follow them and then, like any jury, decide how much weight to accord them. A link from ABC News, Fox, Nat'l Review or a columnist from a reputuable newspaper or blog gets a high amount of deference. A link to an Andrew Sullivan diatribe or Mudflats is given zero deference. I usually don't listen to Limbaugh. I did not hear his show today. You claimed he used the same word Rahm used today. Link? Direct quote? Oh, you want me to just take your word for it. The thing I've noticed in reading (skimming actually) the comments on many of the articles, left and right, about this is that's there's one outraged "scream" that usually emerges that makes me sort of chuckle. "Who made Sarah Palin the PC police?"
And I chuckle and smile because, uh, they did it when they went after her with both barrels and everything they had until they've basically left her teflon coated and bulletproof. She's is the monster in the night or the knight in shining armor that they themselves polished. Whichever image works for you. They created her and now they have to live with the consequences. What's even better, they're starting to realize it.
I'm realistic. I know no one is perfect. I know she's not perfect and she can make mistakes and probabaly will at some point in time. That is not the point. The point is that right here and right now, she's the only one that has the megaphone that they gave to her themselves. And she ain't afraid to use it unlike others we know of.
Do I want her to be the first woman President or even to simply be President one day? Yes, there's a part of me that does. But I also acknowledge in moments like this, when I see just how much she makes their heads spin as a private citizen who simply speaks her mind, that being President may not be where her true destiny lies. Because does anyone honestly believe she's going to want to stop speaking her mind just to run for office again at this point? Any office? Would any of us after going through what she's gone through? I guess what I'm saying is that I honestly believe that while she might be open to running for President eventually, the only way she's going to do it in 2012 is through a massive draft campaign to convince her it's absolutely necessary.

Trolls aren't here for debate. They are here to soak up bandwidth. A good troll is a nuked troll. RedState has a firm troll policy: nuke them immediately. If you're referring to the people who agreed with Gov Palin's objections to the comment made by Emmanuel as the "speech police" I have a question for you.
Why don't you object to the "thought police" just as much? Apparently the people criticizing Palin for being offended by something which is very personal for her, seem to have no problem thinking they are in charge of what is acceptable to think. Her detractors seem to think that they should be the monitors of what people think just like they accuse her of wanting to monitor what people say.
Personally I worry much more about those who want to decide what is acceptable for me to think. be offended by, object to, than I am about Palin expressing her OPINION that the comment was crass and offensive.

That is exactly why she is attacked so much. It is suspect that a Governor who had an over 80% approval rating after she was nominated for VP her ratings started to slide and frivolous ethics complaints. All of them she has won and one she just settled because ultimately it was less expensive for her to settle it than keep fighting, that is a used quite frequently and that is why there are so many lawsuits filed without merit. A lot of people just file them and they know that it is cheaper for the defendant to settle than to continue with a lawsuit that ultimately will cost more to fight than what it is worth.
Truth be told, I sighed when I first read Sarah's post on Rahm. I didn't think Sarah should use her power (yes, she has it without holding a title) to ask for Rahm's firing over....being a jerk. We all want to see him go, but I think calling him out on this was sufficient.
I say this as a person with a brother with a mental disability.

The fact is that Limbaugh has a habit of using this word, as is proven by this November 3, 2000, letter from the president of Arc to the head of the Premiere Radio Network interesting. Her organization was one of several to protest Limbaugh's use of the word in a Nov. 2 broadcast:
"If you are unfamiliar with the episode to which I refer, Mr. Limbaugh, in an attempt at humor, referred to labor unions taking a 'van load full of retards' to register to vote and that Al Gore had 'locked up the retard vote'....In short, Mr. Limbaugh has grossly offended a large population within the United States and his flippant use of the word 'retard' cannot be tolerated."

Perhaps you believe that these are different cases because Emanuel is a government official and Limbaugh isn't (or because Emanuel is a liberal and Limbaugh isn't). However, Limbaugh is widely regarded among conservatives as the "leader" of the Republican Party, and he he has an audience of millions (though I understand that Mrs. Palin is regarded here as the true leader and the person with the moral vision to heal America).
Emanuel, who used the word in a private discussion, at least apologized even before Mrs. Palin lectured him, and he has taken actions that demonstrate his willingness to learn from his mistake. Considering Mr. Limbaugh's past behavior mocking Michael Fox, among others, I sincerely doubt he'll make any amends.
However, as a political leader who has no hesitation with criticizing the behavior of others, Mrs. Palin would be making a mistake not to be intellectually and morally consistent with her criticisms because otherwise it appears to ordinary Americans that she picks and chooses her targets based solely on their ideology, not their moral bearing. She might also make note of Limbaugh's recent sexist remarks about the "women's movement," since she has also been chastising NOW for not attempting to address the poor images of women portrayed in the media, and surely she would agree that Limbaugh has a greater effect on popular culture than NOW.
Do you honestly think she expected Rahm to be forced over this? When did Palin give up her right to post her personal opinions on her FB page?
