More on Palin's Midland Texas Visit/Still No Video Evidence Supporting the Racial Slur Allegations/Open Thread (Update: Palin in DC on August 28th?)

-The Odessa American and News West 9 has more on her visit to Midland, Texas this Thursday that will benefit the Liberty & Freedom Foundation. Here is more information about "Ten in '10," the political action committee for the organization.

-The LA Times notes that "[h]awks, including former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, argue that military action is the only remaining option" in the event Iran acquires nuclear weaponry.

-Ben Smith concedes that "there's no video of Tea Party protesters using slurs." He then posts a video from which Smith concedes that it's not clear that a slur was used. The video sounds pretty clear to me....there was no slur unless you count "kill the bill" as a slur.

-Liberal Dave Weigel tweets that he "thought Baier's interview with Obama was great. Obama needs more grilling from the press."

-Obama voter Ann Althouse heard that "the people at yesterday's protest were unusually nice and friendly and well-behaved."

The vote is scheduled to take place tonight at 6 PM EST. What else is going on today?

Update: LaDonna Hale Curzon tweets that Palin will allegedly "http://twitter.com/SarahPalinRadio/status/10831304990" Be cautious about this one because I haven't seen it reported anywhere else.

Update #2: Bart Stupak has formally announced that he will effectively end his career tonight by voting in favor of this pro-abortion legislation. If it wasn't clear before, it's clear now that the idea of a "pro-life Democrat" is pretty much an oxymoron.

Update #3: Mark Silva from the Chicago Tribune claims that requiring the race-baiters over at the Congressional Black Caucus to produce videotape to substantiate their charges of racism "would reduce us all to getting our news from YouTube." Mark, whenever someone makes a charge that is as serious as racism, he or she better have evidence besides the word of Democrat Party hacks because without video, it's all he-said, she-said and reasonable people are not going to believe a bunch of race-baiters that still defend ACORN without additional proof. Would Silva have believed Fox News and Sean Hannity if they claimed that Barack Obama's pastor and "uncle" for twenty years was an anti-American racist without video evidence to support the allegations? The reason why Wright stuck with Obama is because Fox and Hannity had irrefutable video evidence to substantiate their reporting.

Update #4: Howard Dean said on MSNBC that "this is essentially Mitt Romney's bill expanded to the rest of the country."

Update #5: Remember what Palin told Hannity in an interview around a month ago:

Double-edged sword is that politically this would be good for common sense conservatives who want to get elected and clean house in there because Americans would be so outraged that Congress will have done this to the American people.

If you are looking for good news, Barack Obama has succeeded in turning the Democrat Party majority into a minority, at least in the House of Representatives. Scott Rasmussen is going to be the big winner this November.

Update VI by Doug: (H/T Michelle Malkin) Here's video of Bart Stupak several months ago saying he would vote for ObamaCare even if it included taxpayer funding for abortions:

This makes it crystal clear that everything Stupak has been saying the past several weeks was nothing more than a charade to get his face on TV.

Regarding the "racial slurs" I just posted this on the Sunday open thread but here goes again because it's relevant: Michael Steele on C-SPAN was asked about the supposed "incident" and replied "that was just a group of Tea Partiers that got stupid." What a joke.

Huck was condemning and apologizing for this so-called slur, and Geraldo Rivera was repeating the charge over and over last night.

Why doesn't it surprise me that the media and the dems lie?  Is it because they do it so often, and so openly?

Dan C,  March 21, 2010 1:13 PM

Huckabee is a joke. I will stay home if he is the Nominee. The gop can go to hell.

Sheya,  March 21, 2010 1:46 PM

I’ve been watching this Health Care debate from afar. Here’s my take.

For argument sake: Let’s say the bill is as good as the Democrats make it out to be. Let’s say that everyone will be covered, let’s say it will reduce everyone’s health care costs. Still, the majority people don’t want it. Period. How can the government force on people something they don’t want? Are the people too stupid to realize what’s really good for them? Maybe. BUT THEY DONT WANT IT.

You can’t force anyone to eat breakfast if they don’t want too, even if it’s good for them. You can’t force anyone to quit smoking, even it’s good for them and you can’t force people to brush their teeth even if it’s good for them.

If the new rule in Washington is to go against the majority and listen to the minority, than this same rule should apply to Obama’s election. Ignore the stupid majority who voted for him because they weren’t smart enough to understand what’s good for them and listen to the voice of the minority who DO understand whereas a McCain/Palin administration should really be in place.

You either always listen to the majority or always go with the minority you can’t just pick and choose as you see fit. Stupid or not, the majority of people don’t want it and that’s reason enough to vote NO!

MarkRNY,  March 21, 2010 2:16 PM

Regarding Stupak, Although I place zero faith in him or any other Dem, I have less faith in the MSM, including Fox. How many times have they gotten it wrong, and always wrong in the direction of the result they'd like? They're basically pool reporters. If a rumor starts, they all jump on it. Let's see.

One thing I know, O will never keep this promise. His base would bolt, and he personally is the most vicious pro-abort out there. Whether he outright lies and doesn't do it at all, or twists the wording of the "Executive Order", this will be a pro-abort bill. O's the first Post Truth president. It comes so naturally to him that I doubt he'd fail a lie detector.

Anyway, I'm calling Stupak's office and saying exactly that (for what it's worth).

TSM Admin,  March 21, 2010 2:24 PM

A thought I have had for while, so let me state it in several points.

1.  A common story is that people with health insurance get denied coverage and in some cases die due to that, or die while appealing, etc.  Just for the sake of this argument, I will accept that some of these cases happen.

2.  But, I have also heard similar stories over the years about people trying to get Social Security benefits or SSA coverage.  I have not myself or any family member that I know of, had the insurance problem or SS problem.  I have had some friends and acquaintances though, even one case I know of right now, that have had the Social Security problem.  I have also heard of cases where people died trying to get SS benefits!  As I understand it, Social Security is just ONE administration in the Federal Government, not many.

3.  Therefore, how is a new bureaucracy with 100 or more agencies, administrations, boards and whatever, going to solve problem #1 above?  Anybody that belives it will is BEYOND STUPID!

Tommy Report,  March 21, 2010 2:29 PM

So what's going on the 28th again?

Anonymous,  March 21, 2010 2:32 PM

Well, it appears that Stupak will sell out in the end.  We'll know if they vote.  They'll pull it if he holds firm and they don't have the votes.

Another inconsistency in the latest of those PPP polls that makes zero sense is that they have Obama holding steady or even increasing his vote among older voters while his support among younger voters has cratered.

They have him at 47-48 approval among 18-29 but at 48-47 approval among 65+.  This despite the fact that 65+ was the only demo McCain actually won(and by a comfortable 8 pts)and the fact that every other poll has shown that 65+ is the demo most against the health care bill and most opposed to Obama.  They also have him at 48-48 among 46-65, and only 43-50 among 30-45.  He won 18-29 66-32 and 30-45 52-46.  So they have him totally falling apart among his strongest supporters while increasing support among his strongest opponents.  Sure.

On health care, they have 18-29 in favor by 49-45 AND 65+ in favor by 48-47.  No other poll has seniors anywhere near being in support.  They have 46-65 in favor 49-47.  The only group opposed is 30-45 by 35-55.  So every group is close, within a few pts, and 30-45 is opposed by 20 pts???  Again, doesn't really make any sense.

But the biggest is that among 18-29 Romney has a 17-42 F/UF, for a -25 net, yet they have him beating Obama among 18-29 by 46-42??  That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.  Obama is losing his strongest group, that he got 66% of in 2008, and now he's lost roughly 40% of them and is down to 42, and is losing to a 63 yr old with 17%F among 18-29??  Again, that result really calls into question the validity of the entire poll.  Same with the 30-45 group.  Romney is at 28-39 F/UF and he's leading Obama 45-40.  Huckabee leaads Obama among 30-45 by 49-41.  Palin trails him 41-47, despite her F/UF being 38-48, and Obama's approval being 43-50, and 30-45 being the strongest opponents by far of Obamacare at 35-55.  Even Mitch Daniels, who no one has heard of and is at 8-17 F/UF among 30-45 is close to Obama at 36-41.  Again, doesn't make any sense that Palin would be trailing in this group by 6, while Huck is up by 8 and Romney by 5, while she has by far the highest F of any of them.

For that matter, so does the result showing Palin tied with Obama among 18-29 at 42 apiece.  In fact, 18-29 is actually her best group vs Obama.  Despite the fact that 65+ already voted for by +8 in 2008.  Despite the fact that historically older voters are the GOP's strongest bloc.  If Palin is really anywhere near Obama among younger voters as PPP claims she'll win in a landslide.  And if Romney really had a 4 pt lead among younger voters, he'd be up by double digits overall.  We'd be talking a Reagan 84 type landslide.

They also have things like Palin more than doubling the GOP share of the black vote from 2008, but only at 50% of the white vote?  Despite the fact that even in 2008 in what was the worst year for the GOP maybe ever, they still got 55% of the white vote.  And PPP expects us to believe they'd only get 50% now?  Please.

The internals of their polls really make no sense, and they haven't for a while.

PatrickinOH,  March 21, 2010 2:34 PM

I'm with Dan and GAHanson on this.  If Huckabee is the nominee I will stay home.

Another good indicator that this Stupak thing is still in the realm of rumor is that Drudge has nothing about it--and he IS working today. He links to a story about the US Bishops final plea against the bill and it's dated today.

Mike Pence tells NRO "This Isn't Over"
Pence says that Bart Stupak’s vote is still up in the air. He says that "this isn't over till the last vote is counted."
On the abortion executive order, he says the negotiations are "a tacit admission that this legislation provides for the public funding of abortion.
There's no way around that. If the Democrats insist this isn't an abortion bill, then why the need for an executive order?"
And K-Lo says that Pro-lifers are still trying to talk with Stupak.

Dan C,  March 21, 2010 2:42 PM

A doctor who has voted for Bart Stupak in Michigan writes K-Lo:
I am hoping and praying that Bart Stupak will hold fast to his principles.  If he falls prey to this EO ploy, he will surely lose much support in this district.  I am hearing anger at the simple thought that he might cave.

Sapwolf,  March 21, 2010 2:46 PM

I would not spend any time analyzing the latest PPP poll.  It is obviously a mess and they are desparately trying to push Mitt since they are afraid of facing Sarah.  Sarah was only 8% back of Obama and the campaign has not started yet.  She used to be more than 15% behind.  She is gradually closing.

PPP is a Democrat Party polling outfit so they use their poll to try to mold public opinion.

Ignore it.

Tommy Report,  March 21, 2010 2:47 PM

Hefmier,  March 21, 2010 2:47 PM

Baird, MY Representative, by voting yes on this bill, is telling me that he wants to leave office in flames.  Thank goodness that he will not be seeking re-election.  By doing this, he is giving David Hedrick, the young man that famously confronted Baird at a town hall meeting a few months ago, the finger.  Mr. Hedrick asked Rep. Baird if he planned to hold up and follow the Constitution, and Baird replied "yes".  Baird did NOT keep his word.

MarkRNY,  March 21, 2010 2:47 PM

This is why it's ridiculous to throw in the towel everytime a rumor comes out of DC. All rumors will favor the Dems. If it turns out to be true, it's true. As far as I'm concerned, we know nothing more than we did last night.

yogi41,  March 21, 2010 2:52 PM

This, from a poster at Hot Air:

BREAKING 1:43 P.M. – If my observation of Steny Hoyer’s interaction with Bart Stupak just now on the House floor is any indication, Stupak looks very much like a yes.
Stupak walked over to Mike Doyle, Pennsylvania Democrat, the liaison between leadership and pro-life Democrats. Moments later, Hoyer walked over.
Hoyer asked a question, listened to Stupak talk for a few moments, and then gave a very animated and enthusiastic slap with his right hand on the Stupak’s left arm. Hoyer, smiling and nodding, patted him on the shoulder, and then put his hand on the back of Stupak’s neck.
After a few more moments of conversation, Hoyer slapped Doyle on the back, gave a thumbs up and walked away.

If Stupak folds and tries to pretend that an EO will take care of his concerns about abortion he is either stupid or a liar.  Obama will twist any EO to prevent offending his pro-abortion base.  If Stupak thinks he can then play the "he lied to me" card I hope the voters in his district who are pro-life remember that.  I have more rrespect for those willing to be up front about not caring about the unborn babies - at least they don't add being hypocrites to their rap sheet.

Believe it or not, there are some people who are pro-life, but liberal on everything else.  There was a girl like that I went to high school with.  Me and my friends used to joke that she was a pro-life communist.

Yuval Levin at NRO call's the Executive Order a "Bad Joke"
Hell, I'm a novice at this stuff, and I even knew that.
Levin:  Given the nature of the abortion language in the Senate bill, which creates a mechanism to allow for taxpayer-funding of abortion coverage while pretending to prevent it, it is very hard to see what an executive order from President <span>Obama</span> could actually consist of, even as sheer cover. His freedom of action would seem to be very limited, so that such an order would be almost purely symbolic. The language Kathryn <span>cited</span> from a source last night could not possibly be a draft of actual executive order language, and if the concept behind it is what they have in mind—applying language from one law to another by means of executive order—then it is not even a fig leaf, it’s a bad joke.
Perhaps that’s why so committed a champion of public funding of abortion as Diana DeGette could support the idea. Surely no pro-life Democrat could join her—and no one who joins her could be called a pro-life Democrat.

Whitney the Pipsqueak,  March 21, 2010 3:11 PM

This is absolutely no way that Stupak or anyone else should buy the whole EO thing. It's only enforceable by the President. What's to say he keeps his word? He can't even keep his word on his EO closing Gitmo, which is actually something he wants to do! He doesn't want to bar the funding of abortion! He's not going to keep his word with this order! On one hand, I really hope that Stupak and Co don't break on this, and there's enough to vote no. On the other hand, if the EO convinces the fiercely pro-abortion peeps to vote no, then hey, it'll fail. That's a long shot, but pretty much anyway this thing fails is fine with me.

PatrickinOH,  March 21, 2010 3:12 PM

I have to insert a caveat here, they claim they are pro-life.

MarkRNY,  March 21, 2010 3:12 PM

Yeah, everything they do is on a day that's important to Christians. Last one was Christmas Eve. I don't believe in coincidense--not with them anyway.

Actually "at the feet of Lincoln" creeps me out a bit.

Have you seen the Lincoln Memorial?

It, too, creeps me out. It is called a shrine. That is unAmerican. And the dedication has words, too, that right now escape me, but when I read it, it creeped me out.

We Americans do not enshrine people. We do not worship our leaders.

No wonder BO wants to be the new Lincoln, announced his campaign in Springfield, IL, and has tried repeatedly to take on Lincoln's mantle by referring to EVERYTHING he does, even his very existence, as being HISTORICAL.

At the risk of being sacrilegious in a country with a shrine to Lincoln, he actually wasn't a great President.

He stomped all over the Constitution and took all kinds of powers unto himself that the Constitution does not give him. The States had every right to leave the Union; they're the ones who put the Union together.

As it is today.

Certainly I want the Union to stay together. But not because the President forces us to. Only because the States take back their rightful powers and bring the Feds back into line, under the direction of the States.

Father Groeshel's pretty much like that. They just hear "It's for the poor" and they're hooked. The younger priests aren't like that. They know that it leads to something worse than poverty--dependancy and despair.

Gateway Pundit is reminding everyone that Bart Stupak held a townhall last year and said the following:

“If everything I want [is] in the final bill, I like everything in the bill except you have public funding for abortion, and we had a chance to run our amendment and we lost. OK, I voted my conscience, stayed true to my principles, stayed true to the beliefs of this district, could I vote for healthcare? Yes I still could.”

In other words, don't trust him to keep his word that he'll vote "no" this time around.

PatrickinOH,  March 21, 2010 3:22 PM

We ran into a woman at church like that today.  There was a small lunch after mass, and me, my mom, and sister were getting petitions to get this woman on the ballot in November who is running for State rep.  The woman said the current state rep is a great guy because he gets a lot of money for the district.  She went on and said people like Rush and Hannity are un-Christian and stir-up people.  I chewing on a tongue taco so to speak because I didn't want to start anything.  She ended up signing though because she wants people to have choices.

Whitney the Pipsqueak,  March 21, 2010 3:23 PM

Executive Orders are unconstitutional.

Read it.

There is no provision for the President to give orders. He/she can't even declare War. The Congress has to vote on a declaration. Bush issued executive orders, too. IMO, this actually goes all the way back to Lincoln, who take way too many powers into the Presidency.

See my comments above under Palin's gonna' be at Beck's 8/28 gig.

We DESPERATELY need to get back to the Constitution.

The Constitution has been incrementally ripped piece by piece. If this passes, whether by executive orders or without, it will essentially mean the Constitution is being run through the shredder.

MarkRNY,  March 21, 2010 3:26 PM

That means they don't have them yet. It does to me anyway. I'm not a polyanna about what's going on! I've just learned enough to know that info coming from DC is rigged. I'll wait, keep calling  and see.

This is interesting (came out at 3:38 PM):

Some Republicans are suggesting that in light of the fact that the administration's Medicare and Medicaid actuary was not able to estimate the cost and impact of the health package, some conservative Democrats might be tempted to vote "present" today. Plus, with plenty of uncertainty about the impact of a proposed executive order blockading federal funding of abortion, there's lots that Democrats don't know about the impact of their votes. ... Any Democrat who did vote "present" or anything other than "yes" would be counted the same as a "no," ...

Thanks be to Sarah for delaying this debacle 7 months. Her 2 words prevented this from passing early.  She's spoken, and we have spoken. Our representatives have not been public servants, but self-servants.

They are all liars! Stupak said there is no abortion funding in the bill!? The EO (which will not be enforced) is what takes away the funding, not the bill.

Well, it looks we should all start calling each other comrade.

Glenn Beck is so using Palin as a crowd draw.  He is trying to cause a rift because he knows Mark Levin likes her and can't start him. Also even Rush is getting sick of his antics.  As soon as Palin starts to distance herself from him, Beck will turn against her just like that stalker John Zigler.

This bill is simply government funded abortions to control population growth.  Why else would taxpayers have to pay for women lifestyle choices? (not referring to rape or health of mother)

An appropriate statement from crazy legs at HA made several months ago:

"A Christian nation no longer. Now that Obama has replaced Christ as America's number one hero, we are an ABOMINATION."

COMMENT:

Allowing Obama to claim that from a presumptuous and egotistical point of view that he can overrule the law (Senate bill) is one thing but for House members to buy into this farce makes you realize that the Democrats no longer care about the rule of law which has governed America for 220 years but whatever means can be created to accomplish the ends and that furthermore they they think they can sell the idea that because of Obama we now have government run healthcare and thus rely on Obama to get them re-elected. Hail the conquering hero, Barack Obama, the Messiah, the Anointed One.

As I have contended all along I think this was all scripted with Obama coming out the key player. I know most people will focus now on Stupak, but mark my words Obama will get the praise for being the difference in getting Obamacare passed, and that is exactly how the Obama war room planned it all along.

Nancy,  March 21, 2010 4:24 PM

It's never a good situation when a person that calls himself pro-life, wrestles with how to vote on a bill that will force the American people to fund abortions.
I think everyone knew he would cave, but prayed like crazy he wouldn't.

I feel like I'm being raped and am powerless to stop it.

This is disgusting, and I feel like I might lose my lunch.  To see those politicians speak so highly of the bill and then to see the protestors on the opposite side of the screen just doesn't seem real.  I just am dumbfounded at how they think we want this.

May God be with all of those conservative voices in the House.  And may God protect all of those who went to DC to flex their voices.  I have this feeling in the pit of my stomach that things will get nasty on the lawn in a few hours.... does anyone else feel like this?

I dont know why, but I'm so emotional over this.

I guess it's because I'm 28, and have never in my life seen something like this go down.  Ever.

It's a farce - it's a game.  It's OUR lives!

GAHanson,  March 21, 2010 4:33 PM

Just a diversion from 0bamaCare and the lying dog Stupak:

Tina Fey: 'I owe Sarah Palin a lot'
http://www.digitalspy.com/showbiz/news/a209891/tina-fey-i-owe-sarah-palin-a-lot.html

To be honest, I had never heard of Tina Fey before the election, and I'm betting that most people hadn't, since I hadn't watched SNL in over 20 years.

frsbdg,  March 21, 2010 4:34 PM

All this praying doesn't seem to be working out so well for you. Did you ever stop and think that maybe God doesn't want 45,000 people to die each year so that private insurance companies can make record profits?

Of course you didn't.

Emily (Jane Awesome/Sarc Sister),  March 21, 2010 4:34 PM

OHMIGOSH

I swear, this is SO. UNFAIR.

I want to scream again so bad. WHY WHY WHY WHY?

Politicians. I never, never, never, ever, want to become like one. Ever.

MarkRNY,  March 21, 2010 4:35 PM

The giveaway that this EO is as meaningless as Sycasuse is the silence from the left. If they thought this would actually defund abortion they'd be screaming like banshees. Stupak and the others sold their souls.

That said, nothing's over! They were in a blind frenzy to pass this bill. They've commited suicide doing it. NOW the fight starts!

Whitney the Pipsqueak,  March 21, 2010 4:35 PM

I'm with you, Anne! I've been nauseated by this over the last week. It is in God's hands, and if anything, it fires us even more to fight for our nation.

PatrickinOH,  March 21, 2010 4:35 PM

God doesn't want over a million babies to die from abortion each year.  SO SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

tim c,  March 21, 2010 4:37 PM

Never know some reps could have been using stupak for cover and might now go to no. Slight hope but in three years it will change. I heard in 2012 9 repubs and 23 dem senators are up for re-election so Sarah could have a big majority to work with.

Midwestprincesse,  March 21, 2010 4:38 PM

I stand with those at the Capitol.

We will remember in November.

Anne,  March 21, 2010 4:38 PM

I wish Sarah would do a YouTube video today.

We need to hear from our republican leadership.

sarah palin rocks,  March 21, 2010 4:38 PM

Bart Stupak sadly reminds me of Neville Chamberlain.  Substitute "We will have no federally funded abortions" deal signed with Obama with "We will have peace in our time" deal signed Hitler.

I just watched the Governor of Rhode Island on Cavuto's show.  He is ticked off!  He said this is the biggest fraud to be imposed on American people and he will join the 38 other States who want to fight this.  This will hurt all the States with crippling financial and regulatory burdens.

In a way, Obama and Pelosi by passing this Obamacare will unite the Reps, Independents, Dems and State Legislatures who want to fight this.  People rise up when governments pass laws that the people deem to be unfair and unjust (think Boston Tea Party, Calif. Propostion 13 tax revolt, etc.).  There is no turning back anymore.  We will have to stay engaged and fight if we want to keep Obama and Pelosi from taking over us.

State of Florida Attorney General on Cavuto now. Florida will sue too.

Unfortunately the Stupak betrayal is going to get the most play from the media but the greater controversy imho is Obama as a member of the executive branch of government using the mechamisms of the executive branch to interfere directly with the passage of a bill still under debate but not yet law, which should instead be solely remain in the province of the legislative branch of government until it is passed by both houses according to the system of checks and balances set up by the Constitution. It is one thing for the POTUS personally to use the bully pulpit to promote a bill's passage but clearly another thing to directly influence whether it will pass on not based on the power of the executive branch to deliberately influence or impact the vote.

<p><span>Andy McCarthy on the hypocrisy of the Democrats and their EO farce</span>
</p><p><span>In part:</span>
</p><p><span>But now Democrats are going to abide not a mere signing statement but an "executive order" that purports to have the effect of legislationin fact, has the effect of nullifying legislation that Congress is simultaneously enacting?</span>
</p><p><span><span>The Susan B. Anthony List observation that EOs can be rescinded at the president's whim is of course true. This particuar EO is also a nullity — presidents cannot enact lawsthe Supreme Court has said they cannot impound funds that Congress allocates, and (as a friend points out) the line-item veto has been held unconstitutional, so they can't use executive orders to strike provisions in a bill. So this anti-abortion EO is blatant chicanery: if the pro-lifers purport to be satisfied by it, they are participating in a transparent fraud and selling out the pro-life cause.</span></span>
</p><p><span><span>I find very it hard to believe that Bart the Butcher didn't know this.  He was simply seeking cover, any cover to justify his vote.  He ran for congress and won as a pro-life democrat.  The good people in his district now know he is fake and a butcher of babies.  </span></span></p>

hrh,  March 21, 2010 4:39 PM

Oh how naive you are.

Many, many, many, many more than 45,000 people will die each year in this country now that this population-control government is trying to pass rationing.

I hope you never get past 40 or have any kind of health problems because you WILL BE WAITING IN LINE.

yogi41,  March 21, 2010 4:40 PM

She's only saying something nice because she thinks Palin is going the way of "media star". Once Fey discovers Sarah is still in politics and will run for President, she'll be back to her nasty self.

Emily (Jane Awesome/Sarc Sister),  March 21, 2010 4:40 PM

Oh, you betcha I will fight. This is so not over.

What's the difference between a conservative girl teen and a liberal politician? A pink nightstick.

section9,  March 21, 2010 4:41 PM

What is painful is that Stupak's reputation is now in tatters. He got conned, big time, by a Big Time Con Man. Obama's objective was to give Stupak an executive order that was meaningless so Stupak could have cover to vote for the Bill.

Now Stupak will always be known as the guy who folded like a big lawn chair under pressure.

SusanW,  March 21, 2010 4:41 PM

frsbdg...why does the ObamaNation want to kill babies?

hrh,  March 21, 2010 4:41 PM

Notice a continuation of the meme "and she's now beginning a successful career as a TV commentator so I think she's doing well."

IOW, get her safely out of politics and turn her into Rush or Glenn.

section9,  March 21, 2010 4:41 PM

Excellent; tie this bast*rd up in court!

juju,  March 21, 2010 4:43 PM

You are the dense one...know one dies in the USA for the lack of medical care unless it is their own choice.  Ever hear of that special room at the hospital where
people can go and get treated...it's called an EMERGENCY  ROOM...Most people don't have medical insurance because they rather have a new care, new TV, a cruise...etc.    What is going to happen is millions of older people will die just like Gov. Palin said, "DEATH PANEL"...and the Dems. will be forever marked with this scarlet letter.  You haven't seen anything yet.  The Dems. are dead men walking.
