Bombshell! Journolist Was Comprised of Many Trig Truthers
An absolute bombshell. The following e-mails recovered by the Daily Caller reveal that Journolist was comprised of plenty of Trig Truthers. There are fifteen pages of e-mails of the Journolisters talking about Trig Palin and indulging the Trig Truther conspiracy.
Some people will be losing their jobs. No halfway-respectable media organization would ever want to be associated with such extremists. These e-mails show the depravity of the left-wing and how far the Democrat Party has fallen.

This further proves that Liberalism, Socialism and Communism are the same mental illness, differing only in the degree of severity.
.
Done with page 1. So far pretty harmless..
Insane!
I couldn't read past a few pages of that... Sick, insane SOB's.
How am I supposed to go to sleep now? The alarm goes off in 4.5 hours and my blood-pressure is sticking to the ceiling of my apartment.
Pretty disgusting stuff, but I doubt anyone will lose his/her job. Consider the source. Wishful thinking there.
page 2, about two thirds down it looks actually fairly good. Near the bottom though it's getting a little iffy...
Just wait
"No halfway-respectable media organization would ever want to be associated with such extremists."
There are no semi-respectable media organizations on the left any more. They have all forfeited their previous reputation and residual credibility in the Socialist coup of 2008 to coronate the communist agitator.
.
At least Ezra Klein has a brain. But others are starting to go for it...
Absolutely disgusting. I have only skimmed so far. Page 9--suggestion that Trig has Fetal Alcohol Syndrome instead of Down Syndrome. Horrible.
Lindsay Beyerstein appears to be a creep. Whoever that is.
Maggie Mahar. Good. (So far. I'm going to attempt to separate the decent human beings from the trash).
I picked random pages to read... Mahar seemed to be the lone human of the bunch. At least from what I read.
Bottom-line, these people are creeps to be discussing a conspiracy such as this, in this manner.
On the last page there was another voice of sanity.
I'll analyze this tomorrow.
The only thing that I really don't like about this being released is it's just going to give the Troofers more stuff to talk about, more theories to delve into.
As sick as this is, it's political platinum for Sarah. They can "delve" as much as they want. They'll be delving their own graves.
My fear is that it ends with only the people officially signed up on Journolist. This has to be followed to household names like Jennings, Couric, Sawyer, etc. How much contact did they have with these criminals? (and they are criminals). How much contact did the Obama campaign have with them? It goes on and on.
An example--the "Reality Show" meme. They all ran with it and most never retracted it. Where did the idea for calling it a "Reality Show" originate? The last time Diane Sawyer, for example, reported on the show, she refered to it as a Reality Show. This was more than a week after the facts were known! It was on ABC's website, and they never took it down. I know that compared to other things that Journolist fostered, this was/is not the most vicious, but it was and is meant to <span>hurt</span>--and it might be the most easily proven connection between Journolist and the big names.
My 2 cents. There are people on this site who know how to get at this kind of info. It would be very worthwhile imo.
An all nighter for me and now traffic from hell (the L.I.E.--another potential acronym for Journ-O-List!).
Troofers are the ones who came up with all these nutty stories - all the stuff discussed on these emails has been on the blogosphere since 2008.
What is shocking is to see "professional" journalists and academics plotting to attack Gov. Palin with this Troofer BS just to help Obama win! Some Journolists even said this was going too far.
It is good to shed light on this so more of public can see how deranged many of Sarah's critics really are.
That's the spirit Lisa! Throwing your hands up is always a good tactic.
If you read it you'll see that though they were discussing this stuff they weren't planning on using it.
There are things in here that I haven't seen on the blogs before though. Things that they'll most likely pick up and discuss.
I need more time.
It would be interesting to see a time line of when these reporters and professors were on JournoList. Was it during work hours that they were spending time gossiping and coordinating these anti-Palin memes?
No, this is important. This is likely where the conspiracy started. Though nothing was done ostensibly by those in the Journolist cabal that commented, no doubt it was propagated through blogs by many of these people - by emails, or via personal friendships, even by comments under pseudonyms in blogs and probably in many other ways. And of course there were many other people receiving these emails, that may not have commented, but did similar things. That is how smear campaigns work.
Exactly. It comes across as a conspiracy, and in all likelihood was a conspiracy then propogated outside the Journolist server emails. It is not a good look, and works to Sarah's advantage, significantly. As you say, "political platinium".
Some did want to use it. From what I reviewed over the 15 pages, there were discussions over whether using it would backfire with Gov. Palin coming out like a heroine.
Did Andrew Sullivan get ideas from any of these JournoListers? He is well known for writing extensively on Trig Troofer theories. Where did Sullivan get the inspiration to go after Sarah that way?
This is not where it started. It may be where it spread, but not where it started.
The problem is that this is just a piece of the bigger puzzle. What happened after this? We know that several prominent journalists went asking for DNA tests. I'm not sure how prominent these people on the Journolist are. Where are the other dots? Who was talked to? What was their reaction to the announcement that Bristol was pregnant? Did all abandon this stuff or did some start to believe the "troof." Within the first glance while there is a discussion, only a few seem to think it's credible. Did that go away after Bristol's pregnancy announcement or did more jump on the troof wagon?
There are too many blanks. This is just a little tiny piece of picture. A few hours' worth of speculation.
If it was revealed to be true.
I don't think he was on the list given what he's said about it so far. But I'm sure he talks to people on it.
The truther thing I think fell by the wayside with most of these people. What did come out of it publicly were the assertions that Sarah Palin may be a bad mother. The insinuations about the plane ride, etc...
Quit this leaking one thing at a time, we need the whole picture, DC.
Wherever this started, we can assume that while many didn't believe it or didn't want to pursue it at all, enough steam was created, enough scuttlebutt got around that it eventually got to the journalists who went to Steve Schmidt asking for DNA tests. There were still no major stories on it from any major media player that I'm aware of, but the reporters were digging. If This resulted in the McCain campaign announcing earlier rather than later Bristol's pregnancy, at which point I'm assuming that most on the Journolist started looking at ways to use that against Sarah and dropped the troof thing. But it still lives on the underblogs, most of which I doubt have any connection to the actual list.

What did come out of this were some of the insinuations that Palin is a bad mother, the plane ride, the irresponsibility line, etc...
And I found the one line about focusing on her ideology and doing whatever they could to actually stoke fear into the electorate (politics of fear, anyone?) very interesting.
Well in legal terms if you uncover a conspiracy to commit a crime, and have proof that the crime was committed, it still is insuffient to convict, unless you can prove the link.
Politics is different. The fact there was a conspiracy, the fact there was a crime, is enough to for people to make that link.
But there is a bigger picture here of course. This is one discussion of a broader topic. The whole picture is the collusion among liberals/journalists to stop the Republican ticket and Palin, support Obama (the "we"), and the discussion of coordinating attacks or messages. That is the conspiracy. The crime is what we all saw - the MSM acting as the PR arm of the Obama campaign. And that was a huge ethical crime, a huge disservice to the Americam peoiple. They need to pay the consequences of that. This helps to prove their guilt in the court of public opinion, and Sarah, politically, can whack them pretty hard for it for several years.
Some intellectuals these are. We should not let up. Get some scalps. This is jsut the tip of ice berg people. The Palin smear campaign has been the most insidious hit job in history of American politics.
Why hasn't Washington Post fired Ezra Klein yet? Or Politico Ben Smith? Worse, Smith is on Palin beat. Editors, please put pressure on these damn websites to fire both of these hacks. One person who caught my eye is the woman who runs Human Rights Organization (in the previous emails, maybe not in this batch.) Shouldn't these partisan organizing disallow her from the job?
Also, it'd be fun to compare with what these people were saying privately with what they were saying publicly.
To think these people have the nerve to complain when people ask for Obama's documents!
Don't let up. Get some scalps. The least we can do is these journolisters at least do not cover Palin any more.
I now know why Sarah specifically used the term "sick puppies" to describe these people. She knew in advance that emails on Trig would be revealed. Maybe more coming too ....
I don't doubt he was encouraged to do it. At least initially.
At some point when Sarah gets a political team together, I'm sure they will go through these emails and use it to their political advantage.
This is explosive, but it will pass over in a few weeks/months. It could have longer consequences in terms of the public's perception of the media, and Sarah could use this stuff for years IMO. She is on a crusade against the biased press.
This is interesting:
<span>Major Media Scandal.</span> The Left Stream media is now busted for not just bias but illegal campaign activity. When this story came out naming names with some of their e-mails, I was shocked. Here are the three stories: <span>Link1</span>, <span>Link2,</span> <span>Link3</span>. I talked to an insider in Washington DC yesterday and the word is that some of these reporters are going to be investigated by the Federal Election Commission. The actions some of them took to try to do damage to Sarah Palin could be violations of Federal Law.

I hesitate to call too many on the list actual Truthers. It sounds like they were batting it around but most weren't actually believing it, although one or two might have been. I could sit around and discuss the details of any number of conspiracy theories and not actually believe them.
But sick puppies indeed to even bat this stuff around, that's for sure. Some of these people had real gutter brains, even stooping to the incest thing. Ick. Thankfully there were one or two decent human beings in there.
I'm sure I'll work up some rage about this after I've had a few hours' sleep.
Meanwhile, yet more DC reveals:

Re: Clark County Letters, fair enough! But it seems to me that a concerted effort on the part of the left partisan press could be useful. Why geld ourselves? A lot of the people on this list work for organizations that are far more influential than, say, the Washington Times. Open question: Would it be a good use of this list to co-ordinate a message of the week along the lines of the GOP. Or is that too loathsome? It certainly sounds loathsome. But so does losing!
Ezra Klein

Nope, no message coordination. I’m not even sure that would be legal. This is a discussion list, though, and I want it to retain that character.
Wow. These people really believe in Keynesian economics. To them anyone who doesn't buy that particular brand of economic policy doesn't know anything about economics. Cracks me up.
I can't believe how many pages of this stuff there is. This should give us and Sarah Palin an idea of the kind of coordinated attacks she can expect from the media in 2012.

Well, Okay, j-list isn’t the place. But people who think message discipline is a good idea can start another list, and promote the weekly message there.
The NEW JournoList......
http://dailycaller.com/2010/07/21/meet-the-new-journolist-smaller-than-the-old-journolist/
Typical lefties, always need a group think to have an opinion. We see that in the trolls that appear here, spouting their talking points verbatim.
The question also needs to be asked is what can be done to stop 2008 from happening again in 2012. The way that the American public reacted and voted in Obama leaves me with little optimism anything can change.
The MSM in America has too much power.
To borrow a phrase from Disneys Movie "Alladin" The Parrot "A Heart attack of Non Suprise".
That's why I say Palin/West 2012!!!
Not really, with Fox on cable, and talk back radio. Conservative blogs have some catching up to do with the liberals, but things are progressing pretty well.
You know which MSM have too much power? In your country. They don't even need to be pro-Labor, they are moving both parties to the left at the same time! It's just more subtle than in the US. For example, I think two of the three leaders of the only three national parties are gay.
I was watching a new series last night on TV... called "The Glades" and guess what? Another TV show that is spewing Obama progaganda...
I could not believe the story line...
murder during background of a hurricane... theme throughout show was how medical insurance caused a lot of problems... one lead actor told
an old woman there was not a death panel and commissions not set up, so she was not going to die.... this character later stole an emergency
generator from FEMA that was headed to another community. The lead character later confronts the murder with a hospital insurance administrator
in the room and yells about how the murderer's health insurance ran out after he lost his job and he could not afford it any more and could not pay
for his pills (which then helped put him over the edge to commit murder) and how the hospital insurance administrator was evil for not admitting him
or giving him more pills just because his insurance ran out.
Are we going to see more of this obvious Obama friendly propaganda on all our TV shows? Remember "The Good Wife" and "Glee" for taking shots
at Sarah Palin. How about the cartoon show picking on her as well?
Are these shows taxpayer funded in some way? If so, lets work on cutting off that funding because this is ridiculous... this is brain washing.... pure
and simple.
I think that the big theme that needs to be pushed is that nothing that is written by any of the rags employing these corrupt journalists can ever have any credibility......there is a price to pay for corruption whether it's in the government or in journalism......so until places like Politico gets rid of the 8-10 writers on the JournoList they have no claim to credibility.....the same with Newsweek, Time, Wash Post........and all the rest......it's time for a media purge......or face even more bankruptcy.......a helpful study would be to see how these story line played out in the lame stream media......even a non-direct connection serves to further dirty the LSM......much more of this and the LSM will replace their news programs with infomercials.....at least the ShamWow guy is more believable.
Oh yes, her being 100% RIGHT about Fannie and Freddie is a "miscue." LOl These leftists live in an alternate reality.
My favorite line so far is by Kathleen Geier:
"Because if she proves to be a popular choice who doesn’t screw up too badly, she could be really, really dangerous in the years to come."
hehehe....
Hoist with their own petard. Good.
Damnable viper's brood.
I've ceased being shocked by any of this stuff but that doesn't mean it doesn't feel like a punch to the gut to read it.
The media handling of the Sherrod thing is pretty telling too. They were given a script and even when the facts are plainly against the script they can't go off of it.
I despise the LSM and their lowlife lying abusive tactics.
Justice. That's all I keep thinking.
+100
I have been feeling ill about this whole journolist fiasco for the past few days. I abhor censorship but in the case of these radical nuts I wouldn't feel bad if they were forever banned from blogging, reporting or in any way being allowed to speak or published publicly for the rest of their days. They have lost that privilege<span><span><span><span>.</span></span></span></span>
<span><span><span><span>Some people seem to think that rights are inaliable, but folks, there are responsibilities that go along with those rights.</span></span></span></span>
<span><span><span><span>You screw up and fail in your responsiblities, and you forfeit your rights,IMHO</span></span></span></span>
Sorry about the mis-spelling. inaliable should read Inalienable
