They Said WHAT?! The 25 Most Unlikely Palin Fans – #25 Marc Lamont Hill
We’re counting ’em down folks! That’s right, the 25 Most Unlikely Palin Fans … Over the next 25 days, we’ll unveil one unlikely “admirer” at a time, starting with those who have merely said a few nice public words about Governor Palin all the way to the most unbelievable, mindblowing, unpredictable endorsements from people who shouldn’t even want to be in the same room as Governor Palin, much less support her for higher elective office. (Ok, maybe too much hype?)
Launching our countdown today is Dr. Marc Lamont Hill, coming in at #25. Hill is a liberal professor at Columbia University who frequently annoyed the heck out of us when appearing with Bill O’Reilly on Fox News over the years. It goes without saying that he is completely in the tank for Barack Obama.
So, it was a little surprising and exciting to hear him opine recently that “If she runs, Sarah Palin will be the GOP nominee.” Granted, Hill thinks this will lead to an Obama landslide, but then he also predicted the Heat in 7, so he may be a bit off in at least some of his forecasts.
What made Hill a shoe-in for our list was the fact that a) he gets that Sarah Palin is likely running for president, and b) he thinks she is stronger than all the others in the Republican field. He actually believes her popularity is a political advantage. Imagine that!
Why can’t some of our conservative pundits be a little more like Dr. Hill?
