Here’s a must-read article from Newsweek’s Peter Boyer about Peter Schweizer’s new book, Throw Them All Out. Andrew Breitbart is pushing for Alabama Republican Congressman Spencer Bachus to resign in light of the revelations that were made on 60 Minutes. If you recall, Bachus said the following about the Governor last November; so I think it’s somewhat fitting that someone from the Governor’s team blew the whistle on a fellow Republican.
We’ll keep the reconsider project thread up for one more day. Although everything is tentative, it appears that we may be able to afford to put up a television ad in some Iowa markets or perhaps markets in Nevada or Arizona, the first primary state where her name would be on the ballot if she did reconsider. We’ll finalize what we intend to do by Tuesday. The ad would be either thirty or sixty seconds. The narrative that people want her to reconsider is inferred from the very fact that we’re running an ad for her even after she has said she wasn’t going to run. The goal is to generate buzz in the MSM and conservative media around the idea of her reconsidering and I think we’ll be able to do that just by the fact that we’re buying television ad space in an early caucus/primary market.
My idea would be just to show clips of the Governor talking about crony capitalism and other topics. We’ll use some fancy music and just end with her saying “the challenge is not simply to replace Obama in 2012. The real challenge is who and what we will replace him with.” Until then, if you have an idea about the type of ad that you would like to see, leave it in the comments.
What else is going on this morning?
