Big Hollywood| Legendary Rocker Gene Simmons Praises Romney
Gene Simmons said over the summer that he wanted Rick Perry for president. But now that he’s out of the race, it looks like the KISS bassist has switched over to Team Romney.
“Who’s got a chance? Mitt Romney’s got a chance,” Simmons said when asked about the election in a recent interview with ComicBookMovie.com. “And he’s got the experience. He’s run successful companies, knows how to make money and knows how to be taxed at 15 percent instead of 48 percent if he lived in Beverly Hills the way I get taxed,” the rocker said with frustration.
And while Simmons thinks that Newt Gingrich is “qualified,” he said the former House speaker can’t beat Obama “because 50 percent of the population are women and they’re not going to put up with the first lady as the other woman, the mistress.”
“I really don’t give a s—,“ Simmons was quick to add, referring to Gingrich’s marital past. “I just want to know if you can do the job.”
Simmons voted for Obama in 2008 but two years later said he regretted the decision.
