The Hill | Former Dem senator: Obama should have worked with Congress

Former Democratic senator and Indiana governor Evan Bayh pushed back against President Obama’s executive action on immigration.

“I understand the President’s frustration … but given the results of this past election, I wonder whether this was the appropriate way to do it,” Bayh said in an interview airing Sunday on New York’s “The Cats Roundtable – AM 970.”

“I would have advised him [Obama] – look, why don’t you tell the new incoming Republican leadership that you’re going to hold off for 90 days. Give them a chance to do whatever they can do and then if they can’t do anything, well, then you go forward and do what you need to do,” he told radio host John Catsimatidis.
