Real Health Care Reform Vs. Obamacare

True_Environmentalists_SPCWe do need health care reform in this country. What we don’t need is a system that makes primary care physicians want to get out of medicine, or one that involves politicians and the IRS in your medical decisions. As Governor Palin discusses, what we really need is for doctors and patients to be in control of health care, not government bureaucrats. (Sarah Palin Channel)

SPC_Real_Health_Care_Reform_Sarah_Palin_01“We hear a lot about the back and the forth over the future of Obamacare.”

“Every day in the news there’s more discussion of the political maneuvering on one side or the other.”

SPC_Real_Health_Care_Reform_Sarah_Palin_02a“But let’s step back for a moment and consider the big picture.”

“The sad irony of Obamacare is that it has jeopardized the very thing that it was supposed to help.”

SPC_Real_Health_Care_Reform_Doctors_and_Patients“Somewhere along the way we forgot that health care reform is about doctors and their patients.”

“Not the IRS.”

“Not politicians.”

SPC_Real_Health_Care_Reform_Doctors“Instead of helping doctors with tort reform, Obamacare made primary care physicians want to get out of medicine, and made the pool of available doctors more scarce.”

“It was supposed to make our health care more affordable.”

“But no, our premiums continue to go up.”

“Oh, we warned people about this.”

“Obamacare, it was supposed to help more people get coverage.”

“There will still be 31 million uninsured people by 2019.”

“It’s not helping.”

“It’s hurting.”

“And only in Washington could a plan that adds hundreds of billions to the deficit be hailed as a cost cutting measure.”

“That’s Orwellian talk.”

“So, let’s talk again about what real health care reform looks like.”

“It’s market oriented, patient centered, and result driven.”

SPC_Real_Health_Care_Reform_Sarah_Palin_05“It means for example, things like giving all individuals the same tax benefits of those who get coverage through their employers.”

“And reforming tort laws.”

“And allowing people to buy insurance across state lines.”

SPC_Real_Health_Care_Reform_Sarah_Palin_09“Real health care reform means giving people more control over their own health care.”

“Not government bureaucrats taking even more control.”

“We still do not have real health care reform.”

“But it’s never too late to start over.”
