GOP readies to subpoena Kerry over Keystone XL

House Republicans want the truth about President Obama’s decision to reject the Keystone XL pipeline last year, and they are ready to subpoena high-ranking Cabinet officials to do so.
House Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, threatened Secretary of State John Kerry with a subpoena if he does not voluntarily turn over the documents related to the decision by next week.
Chaffetz and Rep. Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyo., who heads a subcommittee, sent a letter to Kerry earlier this week stating that the State Department continues to backpedal and most recently told the committee it will not cooperate. Chaffetz first requested the documents in February. (Read More)
